The Perk never disappoints. I had lunch with the man who handles my investments. My treat because all is going well. He had the corned beef special with fries and ice tea. I had a delicious Prime Rib sandwich, this is The Perk's, known go to with horse radish, dipping broth, chips and a Diet Coke. We also ordered onion rings. Everything was vert good. It can be a little hard to hear in the dining area. It was full and the waitresses were busy. Speaking of our waitress, she was upbeat, big smile and easy to speak with. I do not know how The Perk does it but with the crowd they have, they get the meals out quickly. Competitive pricing. Owners visits around making sure everyone is enjoying their meal. There is a parking area but small. On street parking for most customers. Cash or credit. I enjoyed our meeting and very good lunch. Wonderful food we went to celebrate celebrate a birthday and anniversary. I chose the special roasted pork sandwich which was so delicious. Pork was juicy and flavorful the cooked greens were sautéed and matched perfectly along with melted sharp provolone cheese!!! Wife got fish and chips - crispy battered cod very flavorful and crispy, the fries delicious too. I had two Old Fashioned drinks and wife had a mock tail with a fruit juice mix very yummy and refreshing. Dessert was a Gooey fudge brownie with vanilla ice cream and whip cream, wife got carrot cake both amazing! We're planning to go back to eat dinner entrees. One thing about parking- there is a small lot next to building BUT it's only for the employees-- so you have to use street parking only but it's free no meters. read more

This place is so hit or miss food wise. One day I will get ribs that are so tough I can hardly cut through them with a knife and the slip out of my grasp to the floor. The next day they are flavorful and fall off the bone. Some nights are so busy there is an hour long wait but once you get seated service is very good. read more

Street parking can be a challenge but just a block away across the street they have a parking lot. The exterior is beautifully set up with flowers and benches. The best descriptor for the food here is home style. The Perk is not a gourmet experience but rather a trip to your aunts house. A place the local teams come to celebrate wins and families enjoy a meal they didn't have to cook at home. There is plenty of seating in several dining rooms along with a room with a full bar. We've come a handful of times now and they are consistent. The service and staff are always pleasant, friendly and eager to please. The Perk deserves 5 stars on every level. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The staff does a great job and are very pleasant. Family of 4. Went there 2 days after Christmas around 6pm. It was packed and took about an hour to get seated. Hostess was pleasant as was our waitress. Food and drinks came out surprisingly fast considering how busy they were. I have not been here in at least 10 years up until this visit as we aren't very local. I had the Covered Bridge burger with house chips. I ordered it medium and it was. The house chips were much better than I have had at other places. Not greasy or burnt. The burger was excellent. The rest of my family was very pleased with their meals as well. The only negative as others have mentioned is the parking. There is a lot on the other side of the intersection with a small sign. We stumbled on it by accident after driving around a while looking for a spot. I'll surely come back but will make it during a less busy time. This place was very well run when we were there. This is for the parking situation only since couldn't find a spot and didn't make it into the restaurant. No parking at the restaurant and on-street is limited, even at 1:30 p.m. on a Friday. Major disappointment during my last two visits to one of my favorite restaurants in the world. Last visit the chicken sandwich was very tough , should have been returned but wasn't. Last night we had one five star meal and one 1 star meal unfortunately. The flat iron steak dinner was great , mashed potatoes were excellent as was the mixed vegetables. The New England clam chowder was phenomenal, loaded with clams and delicious. The pasta special Chicken a la vodka pappardelle was a disaster. The. Pink vodka sauce was just ok , definitely would never get it again but the chicken was tough and inedible. Shocking the kitchen clearly sent out precooked, at least a day or two old , chicken in a pasta dinner. Manger was great and offered another choice and removed from the bill and offered a complimentary desert. Chose the carrot cake and it was honestly not very good, definitely would never order again. As we approached the "Perk", it was a welcoming and beautiful establishment to look at from the outside. Not much parking, but were able to find a spot on S Main Street to park. As we walked in, we were greeted by an employee into the restaurant (whom we later found out was the owner), very nice touch. As we entered we were seated almost instantly with no wait. As we sat down, we were enveloped in the rich history of Perkasie as well as famous people from Perkasie and their accomplishments. When we sat down, we were greeted within a minute by our server. She got us started with some drinks and even gave us some recommendations on some of their popular menu items. My friend ordered one of their specials of the day; the Jalapeño Popper Burger and got it with a side of fries. I went with one of the recommendations of the waitress; the Perk's Roast Beef Au Jus with a side of their homemade potato chips. It was also served with a side of some Horseradish sauce and a cup of au jus broth. I also opted the pay $3.49 extra with my meal for a side of French onion soup. We both envied each other's choices so we asked them to split each lunch in half so we could try each other's food. First, the crock of French Onion soup came out. It came out covered in a layer of smoked or nicely browned cheese (see pic). I took one bite and almost couldn't believe it. This was the BEST French onion soup I have ever had (being a foodie, I don't say that lightly). I asked for a side of croutons and it was even better as they had top quality croutons. Very big portion and I almost didn't want to put it down when our food arrived. I first tried the Jalapeño Popper burger ordered medium-well. Wow! What a great burger! The jalapeño cream cheese on the burger with bacon and pepper jack cheese made for wonderful combination of flavors. It got even better when I added the slices of deli pickles that it was served with. Very good burger. Next I tried the Perk Roast beef with au jus. I tried it by itself first, then with the horseradish sauce, then with the au jus broth.It was great each different way, but I thought it was the tastiest with the au jus broth. The homemade potato chips was a nice touch as well as very crispy and delicious. We each had their sweetened ice tea. My friend had raspberry iced tea and I had the peach iced tea. Wonderful restaurant and great atmosphere. As if all that wasn't great enough, after all that food, we got the check and it was a few cents over $38. Great value, Great food, Great overall experience. Loved this place and even though it's about an hour drive from where I live, you can rest assured I'll be back. Found ourselves in this tiny town during lunch and thanks to Yelp ended up at the Perk. Located in an older building, it has lots of rooms and an odd layout. I noticed as I walked that the floor wasn't level so do be careful. It's loud inside, and obviously very popular. We had to wait to be seated for lunch on a Saturday. I would consider this a pub/restaurant as they have a bar and it has a pub feel. The menu consisted of pub fare and had a nice variety. Service was slow, but they were really busy. I bet we waited a good 40 + minutes for sandwiches and burgers. And speaking of burgers, mine was delicious! The flavor was on point, and the size very generous. It was cooked to perfection. I *almost* couldn't eat it all. The misses for me were the wait to dine in and also to order as it wasted a good part of our day, especially when you're waiting to sit and there's no place out of the way to stand. The floors thru me off a bit, especially walking to the restroom. I felt like I was on a ship. The water had a metallic taste, like a filter needed changed, and the parking lot is a mess; small and hard to maneuver in, but there is ample street parking. I haven't been to the perk in years. Probably before Yelp was even born . We went on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The dining room was busy, but there was plenty open spots in the bar, so we picked a high top table. My husband got the chili which was kind of watery and loaded with tomatoes. The taste was good though. He also got the Turkey BLT (without the t) and that came on an artisan wheat bread. There was lots of turkey, but he said it was "ok". I had their signature Roast Beef and it was incredible. It basically melted in your mouth. Probably the best I've ever had. Another person in our party got the spicy margarita, very tasty and not overly spicy. He also got the honey sriracha chicken and had nothing but great things to say about it. Wow, the Perk has come a long way. The town of Perkasie is much better than I remember from growing up around here in the 80's and 90's. Drinks range from $7 - $12 and include a nice selection of major brand liquors. Our teen servers (hostesses, etc.) mostly seem to be Pennridge students. The French Onion soup is wonderful - not too salty and so rich and cheesy. I also enjoyed the Crabcake dinner platter. My friend got the plain grilled salmon (the also have a maple butter salmon) and it looked perfectly cooked. We shall return! They were pretty crowded on a Thursday night. They do NOT take reservations, but we gave our name and got a table in about 12 minutes. read more

A nice little place to come with friends or family. The service is friendly and quick to respond to requests which is appreciated. I started off with an order of the wings and they were great. Perfectly crispy and very saucy. For my main course I had the Walnut St. Burger and it was okay. Not bad, but it lists having a sause on the burger and I didn't taste it. The chips it came with were also good, but they could use some sort of salt or seasoning in my opinion. My girlfriend had the BBQ Pork Fries and she liked them, but couldn't finish them because the portion was so big.
