The service here is non-existent as the cook. The food was undercooked. Asked for brown gravy, they covered it in white but tried to fix it by putting brown gravy on top of the white . I told the waitress that the meal was not cooked right. She said it was served that way . I did not eat it paid for the 20.dollar meal, which should have been a good steak for that price. The green beans were dry . She told me that the next time I came in, she would have her Mgr comp me. Why not now? I didn't eat that slop, but you still charged me . Why would I come back. There's was so many things wrong!!!! Most of the food was very bad!!! I had a chopped steak with brown gravy.... it was a cheap frozen breaded hamburger patty... it wasn't cooked all the way! My girl friend had chicken friend steak and it wasn't cooked all the way. Mash potatoes where real but wasn't heated all the way. My daughter had a cheese burger no complaints there! The server had literally no manors at all and had her mask around her chin most of the time. I have worked in the service industry for 20 years and I'm a 20-25% tipper and it pained me to only give 10%( my girlfriend wanted me to leave nothing). DO NOT GO THERE. well I went here as there were not many options in town. Was not so sure about the steakplace with the laundry place in it as well, so i decided to take my chances here. Many truckers eat here. Anyways I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was pretty good and juicy and they give you a lot for what you pay for. then gave me a baked potato, but unfortunately it was very dry though and not edible to eat. Service was okay as the guy gave me my food and told me to have a nice day when I left. I probably go back here again if i am back in Rawlins. read more

This is a delightful surprise. It definitely doesn't have the curb appeal of some of the chain diners. BUT!!!!! Mercedes is an amazingly attentive server. She didn't hover but didn't disappear either. In the words of Goldilocks...just right. Had the pleasure to meet the "prep cook" Steve. What a character, in a wonderful way. I left here feeling like I was back home in my 1400 population home town. Take the chance and stop here. It will be the best decision you make while this stretch of I-80. We came here for two days in a row with my husband because we're waiting to get our next load. Well the first day we came was excellent service our server was super nice and friendly I didn't catch her name though. And today Tina the server was super rude. I asked for Broccoli instead of the hash browns and she said that no she can get fired she's not allowed to do it and whoever did it last time was going to get fired. Talk about unprofessionalism. I feel horrible I don't want anyone to get fired because of broccoli. So she came back and said I'm sorry but we're not supposed to do that. My husband then told her ok we understand but don't tell people that they're going to get fired because it makes people feel bad. And she went and said well I hope she gets fired. Seriously who says that to customers. I feel so bad I don't want anyone to Lose their job over vegetables. Maybe Tina needs to lose her job for being unprofessional. read more

We are over the road truck drivers. We came in hungry and longed at the breakfast buffet. I was wanting grits, but there weren't any on the bar. The scrambled eggs were less than desirable looking. We were about to order of the menu when I saw them putting fresh food on the bar. I told the waitress I had been hoping for grits on there. She told me if I ordered the breakfast bar she'd get me a bowl of grits free of charge. I told her that I didn't like the eggs on there. She then said we could order our eggs any way we liked! Hubby and I both got the breakfast bar, ordered eggs over medium, fresh toast, and grits that were to die for! Our waitress, Diane, was very nice and helpful! We'll definitely be back! read more

What has happened here 8 months ago the food and staff was super. Did the manager quit I have stopped here 2 times in the past month and again tonight and it was a disgusting mess. The food is nasty, dried out to the point it to be honest I not sure what to say. This was my favorite place to shut down as a driver but I guess I look somewhere else. Thanksgiving at Country Pride was not that good. The turkey was dry and the offering that came with it was very poor.

My wife and I arrived for dinner on a business trip. It took over 5 minutes for someone to notice we had sat down (Seat yourself) even though I am pretty sure I saw the entire wait staff and kitchen staff come and go from the kitchen in that time. She finally arrived and took our order. My wife ordered the Ribeye steak dinner, well done. And I ordered the Porterhouse steak dinner medium rare. It took about 1/2 an hour before our food came out. In that time I saw at least one of the kitchen staff take 2 smoke breaks. And just about every other staff member come and go several times from the kitchen. Once the food arrived the real issue became apparent. My wife's ribeye was well done, but hard to cut and tough. Mine was also well done not medium rare and was completely immune the steak knife. I started trying to tear pieces off with my fingers and the marbling had not been broken down, and I couldn't even tear it apart with both hands efficiently. The waitress finally came back and asked how things were. I told her "I don't think I have ever seen a tougher steak", and demonstrated how neither my fork would penetrate, nor could I tear a piece off. She seemed annoyed and asked if I would like something else. I chose the Grilled Salmon dinner. About 30 minutes later she walked by the table and said, "It will be out soon." I said "Well I sure as hell hope so, it's been 30 minutes already. You know what just bring me my bill." She snapped "That's fine with me and stormed off." Then she yelled into the kitchen "Cancel the Salmon" someone yelled something and she yelled back "It's too late now!" Great place, you should try it. :) read more

25 minutes after ordering I asked the waitress where our food was. She said the chef was cooking a steak and potato so I again asked where our food was. Five minutes later she came back and said she had never put the order in. I asked for the check for the coffee. When we were paying for that I noticed it wasn't even our check so someone else wasn't getting their food. I would give it 0 stars if I could and will never go back. read more
