We recently moved to the area and sad to say the first vet need was to support our dying elder dog. No one closer in proximity to our home would help. This office helped us during the most difficult time of saying goodbye; and they did it the same day we called. They brought us thru a side entrance and into a comfortable, private room. I switched to CVC when Dr. Alvarado started there. I couldn't be happier with the care she provides for my pups. The techs are always helpful and they are tremendous with my three dogs. The front office staff is always polite and responsive. Overall, everyone there shows their love and devotion to the animals they see. I was new to the Country Veterinary Clinic because my veterinarian retired. My dog was given a vaccine that she had Never gotten before. I called them when I got home to discuss my bill and that they gave my dog a vaccine that wasn't in her medical records. The next day she got sick. Excellent service and caring vets and techs. Nicer than others in the area. But very pricey, they consider same day appointments as 'emergency' calls. A lot of times I go to another vet for vaccs or if I want something checked like a lump just because for the most part I can walk in at my convenience without an appt. If it's vital or I can wait for an appt I will use cc. Doctors Laura, Stacy, Rex and Glen have all been amazing when I've needed them. read more

Kind, respectful and compassionate care. The Clinic made our last days with our beloved dog go as easily as it could. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a vet near Ludington. Our aging dog took a turn for the worse a couple of nights ago while we were on vacation far from home. We called the Clinic's emergency line and received a call back from Dr. Laura right after. We took our dog in to see Dr. Glenn the next day. Both were extraordinarily knowledgeable and compassionate. They took the time to learn about our pet's complicated medical history. Walked us through options. Gave us the time we needed to make decisions. And when the time came, Dr. Glenn and Dr. Stacy, Mandy and Tangella talked us through the worst time with kindness and respect. I can't imagine a Clinic doing anything more to give us and our dog a better goodbye. read more

I love the staff at Country Clinic! Besides being very knowledgeable, they are kind, caring, and compassionate! They have been great for us from the puppy stage to dealing with our pet having cancer, and till the end with another senior pet who was suffering. Most of our pet's care has been with Dr Glen and Dr Laura. No complaints at all. They listen to my concerns and are happy to answer any questions I have. Everything was OK with my cat's dental extraction, until I got her home and found that contrary to my indications they had clipped her claws. She is a mouser and an inside/outside cat so she needs her claws. Vet should have paid attention to what my wishes were and followed them. read more

I want to report how unhelpful, unprofessional and rude veterinarian Dr Stacy Fournier treated me & my 17 year old cat on July 26th. I was there for an Ultrasound & waited 2 hrs to ask her about why blood test needed to be sent to Texas A&M. Also, my cat had a lump on her neck that I never felt before so I wanted to ask about the lump. She came in the room ranting about this was supposed to be a drop off. Then she told me to leave & never come back & my cats records will be sent to wherever I choose to take my cat. She wouldn't even give me a chance to ask about blood work or the lump on my cats neck. I found another vet & the lump on my cats neck is a malignant tumor. read more

There are not enough stars to give this clinic. The entire staff is friendly, caring, and go out of their way to make your pet feel loved and cared for. They make sure family members are comfortable as well. Even in an event where the pet must stay, the staff lets you know your pet will be cared for as if it is their own. I took my dog for his yearly checkup. He tested positive for Lyme Disease. They gave me medication and told me (it's also listed on the bottle) DO NOT start the medicine until you hear back from us with his levels, as a positive test may not be in the levels to take the medicine. The vet tech said no news is good news. Well one week went by and I heard nothing so I just assumed he didn't have to take the medicine. But, I called just because I wanted to be sure. No answer so I left a message. Next day no return phone call, so I called again. This time I was able to talk to someone. I told her the story and she checked into it. She called me back and said normal levels should be 30 and my dogs levels were 227, so I better start the medicine immediately. Why was it my responsibility to call them?? Shouldn't they have called me immediately when the results came back? I spent over $300 that day. An apology just isn't good enough. They dropped the ball on me. Someone told me to contact our states vet board and file a complaint. I feel there should be some compensation! read more

Staff was great, but the care cost was high. It would seem they cater to a richer clientele, as they offer no options on payment plans. Drug costs were also higher than average; one antibiotic they wanted $60 for was obtained from another vet roughly 20 miles away for $26. Overall the cost was higher than most other local vets. Other than a fancier building they don't offer anything you can't obtain at a lesser cost elsewhere. read more
