I just moved to the area and it was important for me to find a vet that could take care of my cats. They are an amazing so far!

BE AWARE: IF YOU DO NOT GIVE A 5 STAR REVIEW YOU WILL BE KICKED OUT OF THIS CLINIC. I wrote a review on another site stating that this vet was excellent, however I gave one star because of the cost were higher then other Vets. WE HAVE ALWAYS RECEIVED EXCELLANT CARE, Because I gave them 1 star for their high costs we were kicked out of the program. We paid pet wellness care for both dogs and now we will not get reimbursed for that or we will not be able to get their medicine prescriptions either. UNLESS I CHANGED MY REVIEW. I refused to change my review and the Office manager Bonnie refused to let me talk to Doctor Betts. It is so wrong you can't give your opinion and your pets suffer for it. I ASK YOU what kind of a vet is Dr Betts to allow this practice. I asked if Bonnie was willing to lower their costs and she said no. I see there was a comment made back. Just to clarify this incident happened probably like 12-14yrs ago. And yes you did see my moms cat on Thurs afternoon. Own what you did. What you did was absolutely wrong. I called Monday and was told I could bring him in that day but it would be charged an emergency fee. The lady who answered the phone said you had that opening on Thurs at the time. And yes you put an emergency fee on the bill. I subtracted it. You even called my mom like a week or 2 later. You avoided me in Kmart because you KNEW YOU DID WRONG. Just own what you did. Mom switched vets afterwards. Horrible thing to do to a person. Don't lie about it ..own it. So no I don't recommend you under no circumstances. I never said anything about an eye issue. It was NOT about an eye ..NOTHING at all. Shows how much you lie. You were very pushy and just unhappy. So glad mom went somewhere else. read more

Dr. Betts and her staff are compassionate and friendly. Dr. Betts is very knowledgeable and personable.

They are snake oil salesmen. It is hard to know what is medically needed when they are pushing so many services. Last time I was there, a new tech was reading from a script on her laptop. She would pull a product off the shelf and go over it's virtues then another one and another one. It was ridiculous. I was just there for routine vaccines. It took 20 minutes just to get thru the sales pitch only to have Dr. Betts come in to give 3 shots and leave. Plus, they record you now. It's bizarre. read more

They have in the system that my dog has been treated there before but I was charged with a first time fee. They keep offering things trying to sell me stuff after I clearly say no I'm not interested. They tell you a price before your visit then when it comes time to pay all of a sudden it's way more than what was talked about. I absolutely hate coming to this place but I have to get it over with for my dog. I never leave this place in a good mood. Last time I went for a simple exam and the lady at the desk was about to charge me 250$. I corrected her and said I'm not paying for anything more than the exam and the medication. They are salesmen. Do not let them take too much of your money. Do not let them sell you stuff if you can buy it somewhere else. My dog has been there before I don't need a "first time fee". I never have a normal visit. Something always comes up. read more

Parkdale has been my choice for veterinary service since 2004. The service and care we have received is so wonderful. We trust the doctor and the staff in every area of care for our pets, and have not had any problems with care for either dog. Dr. Betts makes sure we u derstand the how and why of the care we receive, and follow-up care is wonderful. I would recommend Parkdale, and have, to anyone looking for care for their pets. very disappointed in the way this clinic is ran. The office manager looks for ways to harass clients when their family members are former employees. they will charge you multiple times for the same post on issue and blame the client over accepting responsibility for post op complications. read more

We booked a reservation to have our dog boarded. Arrived and they've lost our reservation. They did not tell us up front that our dog needed a canine flu vaccine. Had to pay extra on top of the daily rate to have that done, even though I would have simply boarded her elsewhere (which we have before and never needed a canine flu vaccine before). Tried to argue that at checkout, no response. Will never return. read more

Dr. Betz was loud, rude, and abrupt and did not listen to a word I said. The focus was on selling me things and medicating my dog for any and everything instead of trying to help me understand what was going on. Everything was clinical and no one paid my dog much attention. I've heard very few positive things about this place from local friends. Not to mention, the poor service for routine things - nails clipped, basic shots - was approximately double the price anywhere else has quoted me. Also, they take your pet out back away from you for everything other than the routine exam. Extremely displeased and happy to have left. The front desk ladies are really nice though. read more

This vet does not put the welfare of animals first. Her fees are outrageous. All they want to do is insist on treatments over and above what is necessary. I had an elderly cat (16) and it was obvious it was time to let her go. Instead she wanted to do this and that test. NO! The cat was blind, Unable to control her bowels and bladder, vomiting, and nothing but bones. Why would you want to do expensive tests when it was so obvious her time on earth was done. This was not the first time we visited this vet she was well aware of the decline of my cat. All Dr. Betts cares about is your wallet. read more

I love bringing my pets to Parkdale Animal Hospital. For the first time, my dogs aren't shivering in fear, their tails are wagging. The staff is wonderful, so caring. My dogs always get a complete physical at every visit. Dr Betts loves animals and they can tell. The hospital is so clean and doesn't smell like a dirty dog or worse. And it's so cute! My dogs board at Parkdale (they call it lodging - I love that) and I know they're safe and they always come home happy. I love Parkdale Animal Hospital and would never take my pets anywhere else. read more

Have taken my dogs here a couple times now. My older dog, Payton, has had some minor emergencies while we are vacationing up here and the staff was nothing but friendly and accommodating with us needing last minute care. We have taken him here for a check up before too. They do boarding too, this was great when we wanted to be out all day and not worry about the dogs. They were very friendly and my dogs seemed to totally cool when we came to pick them up so I'm saying that's a win! Not to mention it was inexpensive to board them all day :) read more

We could not say enough about the care we receive from Dr. Betts. Always kind, fun and accommodating.

We have owned two dogs. Rusty, who was a Pomeranian. He had a very happy active life. He was under the care of Parkdale Animal Hospital. He died at the age of 18.5. When he passed we were treated with compassion and respect by the staff. We were very sad but realized that his passing was a natural part of life. We also had a little Pom named Conny Boy. He had been under Dr. Betz' care since we got him. He recently passed from heart failure. We were devastated to lose him. We were treated with such compassion by the staff at PAH. It really helped us get through our grief and we are so grateful to Parkdale Animal Hospital for always being so kind. We will always be clients of this business. read more

Great vet they really care about the wellbeing of your pet and the kennel service is excellent

The callous indifference and blatant greed from the vet service causes me to shudder still several months after my experience with them. We had taken our family dog to PAH as a puppy and for his shots and while it did cost higher then expected we thought that was the norm. When our dog however suffered a tragic accident and we rushed him there bleeding and terrified for him we were told to sit and wait. after much horror we were told it would be $1800 (in addition to the $500 we had already spent for services that day) for surgery to correct a non-life threatening wound or we could put the dog to sleep for $45. payment was expected that day no options for payment plans or paying later. We all miss our loving pet and wish we had gone to the other Vet in town. read more

I recently was in Manistee over the Memorial Holiday. My dog got sick and we took him to Parkdale Animal Hospital. They were able to fit me in on short notice and the staff were all very friendly. The vet was great. We really appreciated everyone's help and now Scooter is doing much better! read more
