Located near the Idaho-Oregon border, you even get the occasional small plane flying overhead from the nearby airport, which adds to the laid back, small town charm. Three full cages, two golf simulators, and one putting area. You can book batting cages by the hour, you can use a couple different pitching machines or you can pitch to your kids from behind a screen. They also have batting tees available. They have a couple open turf areas for drills, the two side-by-side batting cages retract so that the entire turf area is exposed. Golf simulators can be rented for as little as 15 minutes on up in 15 min increments. The putting area is rented by the hour. There is no food served but you are welcome to bring food in and there are restaurants within walking distance. It's right on Oregon St next to George's Jewelers near the corner of SW 2nd Ave. it's bright and clean and each area feels like it's own space which is nice. With the time frame we were given, my father in law suggested us to play the wee 9 at Ridgecrest. It allowed us to get some holes in with enough time for my brother in law to head to the airport after. We were checking in at the desk for our tee time. The young man that was helping us wasn't the kindest. He treated us like we were bothering him for doing his job. Sucks to have someone like that start your day that way. We got our game paid for and waited for left handed clubs that we had requested. He got them for us, got our cart keys and headed to the green. Our tee time was at 9:20 so we were some of the first groups to head out. I did have to head back to get a couple clubs that were missing in the left handed set we requested. It was kind of frustrating that the clubs weren't ready. But we dealt with it and moved along with the game. The short course was fun. I just watched and enjoyed being with the boys. It was a pretty fast course so we got done in a timely manner. We turned in our carts and clubs in. That was my first time at Ridgecrest and it was fun. The course was great. Everything was pretty and serene. It was fun driving the cart on the course. It was overall a beast experience. It could have been flawless if the gentleman that helped us was nicer.

You just order at the counter, and the menu is limited, but it's perfect for a quick bite or a drink before or after your round. Overall, I love playing here and would highly recommend Ridgecrest to any golfer looking for a well-kept, welcoming course in the area.

They have improved my game a lot. The courses are a lot of fun to play and they have several games to choose from if you don't want to play normal stroke play golf. We are not golfers. Not even a little bit. So I cannot judge the excellence of this course from a…read moregolfing standpoint. But I can expertly judge the scenery, staff and cart riding shenanigans. We went on a perfect 70 degree Saturday afternoon. We rented a cart, which cost us $28 each. We also needed a set of clubs, balls and 4 beers. The staff took pity on our obviously clueless selves and gave us an excellent discount on the clubs, filled a cooler with ice for us and wouldn't even accept a tip. Altogether our afternoon of fun cost $76. If my husband can't call himself a golfer, than I can't even call myself a spectator. By the end of our adventure, my sweet, patient, non-competitive man was quietly suggesting that I just use this as putting practice. :) I think my average stroke was 13. Haha! But we still had an absolute blast. The carts are gas powered and zippy and the course was gorgeous. It is located right along Lake Cascade with snow capped mountains as the back drop. There were a lot of hills, trees and sand traps (hence my embarrassing average). Nonetheless it was a glorious afternoon filled with beautiful weather, golf innuendos, and a few moments of panic that the cart was going to tip. ‍
