We were first introduced to one another by the previous owners, Mary and Jim, during one of their events--little did we know those introductions would grow into lifelong friendships. Over the years, our Wednesday Wine Nights became a tradition we all cherished. When we learned that the shop was going up for sale, we were understandably nervous. We wondered what would happen if it didn't sell--where would we go? And if it did sell, what if the new owners changed the shop in ways we didn't love? What if we didn't connect with them the way we had with Mary and Jim, who had become family to us? Then it happened, the shop sold. We were introduced to Maria and Veronica, and it was truly love at first meeting. They are two of the kindest, most welcoming women, and they have brought fresh ideas and wonderful energy to the shop. Our Wednesday Wine Nights continue today, and we are grateful to have gained new friends in Maria, Veronica, and their families, who help run this warm, family-operated business. The Third Street Wine Shop remains a place where you are welcomed the moment you walk in--where the owners make you feel like you're their only guests. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I was finally able to figure out his last name. (It wasn't given out willingly and he made me guess after dropping a single hint). There were 20 high school seniors and 4 chaperones and we were picked up on time in a clean, beautiful bus, with wonderful service. We spent 10 hours going to different stops in LA and everything was perfect, including an ice chest of ice-cold water!
