Very deceptive business practices, they try to lie and manipulate you anyway they can into getting a car with them they will run your credit and give you an interest rate two or 3% higher than what it actually is and not tell you about it because they want a pocket extra money. The add-ons they sell are complete scams most of the time they're not even on the vehicle. This is the dealership where you don't feel welcome and as soon as you buy, they don't want anything to do with you. Never do business with these people. read more

I am writing this review to express my extreme disappointment with a situation I encountered during a recent interaction with Countryside Chevrolet. After an online inquiry, I was contacted numerous times by different people about the vehicle in question. Today I spoke with a salesperson to see if we could come together on a deal. I was told, however, that no numbers could be provided unless I agreed to a "soft inquiry" to pre-qualify. I made it abundantly clear that I did not want anything that could affect my credit score or appear on my credit reports. I was reassured, explicitly, that this would not be a hard inquiry, that it would not lower my score, and that it would not show up on my report. Imagine my outrage, then, when within an hour I received an email from Credit Karma alerting me to multiple hard inquiries on my credit report. These marks can remain visible for up to two years, impacting future financing opportunities, all because I was misled. This is not only unprofessional, it is deceptive. I entered this conversation in good faith, but I was given false information that now has long-term consequences for my credit history. I expect accountability and a resolution to this matter. Amended: Countrywide Chevrolet has my phone number because they called me repeatedly. Yet here they invite me to call them. I have had text interactions with the salesman but no accountability or resolution. read more

Countryside Chevrolet Service ... negative 1 star 2023 Trailblazer RS, 18,700 mile ... Message display "engine power reduced" and the check engine symbol comes on Got calls about trading in and getting in new car .... 3 days to be told the diagnostic codes indicated turbo charge issue, will get back to me on what is next. I called them 4 times over next 2 days. Being told they don't know how long for parts ... they have no information on time frame I consulted with Chevrolet.com, called their service number. Was told each dealer has their own techs, and I m a y want to check with other Chevy service shops. I checked, got lots of information from two other shops. There is a general service notice on programming update for the Trailblazer turbo charged engines, and please bring it in to them. I left it off at 8:45 AM. They called at 10:50 AM that it was all set. They applied programming as indicated by diagnostic codes. No charge Countryside Chevrolet is beyond incompetent. This was third car I bought from them, two of them with cash. And all I got was run around, tried to sell me a newer model, and no service on a known and published service notice. Dodgy service? Make your own decision. I will not do any more business with them. read more

I brought my '22 Chevy Spark to Countryside to troubleshoot a noise that another dealership in Waynesville couldn't help with. I had it to 2 other dealerships before I thought to try Countryside; and they identified the issue and fixed it under warranty with no questions asked. Now I get all the standard service for the little road warrior done there and the people could not be friendlier! While I can't say anything about the sales department because I bought this commuter from a dealership near the Virginia state line, the service department is great at this dealership. read more

I went into countryside today 9/26/2025 just to look at a new Colorado, and the sales man was very pushy. I could hardly even explain what I wanted to do and I wanted to be clear that I was just looking and I might be open to buying one if I liked it and the numbers looked good. Well after a while of him being super pushy I told Him I'd be interested in seeing what we can do on a deal and a trade in for my truck I have now, well they low balled the trade in very bad over a oil pressure sensor after showing them the documentation on it and he even told me that was the reason why it was so low, basically insulting me with it then he went to go see if his manger would want to come talk to me but the manger never showed up or even wanted to talk so this place is very pushy and very uncomfortable and unprofessional. I won't step foot on that lot again and I'll do my business else where. I'd definitely recommend a different dealership and not this one read more

7/11/23 update - Reached out to GM Customer Care and they refunded the full 5 weeks of rental. Also, reached out to Countryside Chevy and they agreed to refund 1/2 of the overage charge. Truck is still running great. 2015 Chevy truck to dealer service expecting excellent results. Very disappointed in how long it took to repair. 1. No evaluation until 5 days after appointment. 2. Basically needed to rebuild engine with Genuine GM parts, as aftermarket parts failed. 3. One part had to be backordered from GM with no expected delivery in site. 4. After waiting over 2 weeks, dealer just happened to locate said part for 3 times the original quote, which we agreed to since we are traveling and need to leave the area. 5. GM part arrived from GM 1 day after the dealer's 3 times cost part from their supplier. Still got charged $867 for $300 part. 6. Dealer refused to help pay for 5 weeks of car rental, since the truck is our only vehicle. read more

My husband and I have been going to Countryside since we moved to Franklin NC. We've always taken our vehicles to them for service. We have an 11 year old Silverado and needed quite a bit of work. There was an issue with the brakes and I was stranded about 80 miles away. They towed the truck for me and also brought me home. Once the truck was fixed, they dropped it off at my home for me. The salesman who helped us was Charlie and he was, hands down, one of THE best salesmen with whom I've ever worked. He was NOT pushy. The best thing about him is he listened - really listened - to my sister's needs/wants. Yes, we still got the typical "manager step in" at the end; but even that was made more palatable through Charlie's guidance. My sister walked away with an Equinox - and is loving it!! may 1st I found a car I liked and reached out to them. I talked to the salesman and indicated I liked the car but wanted to reach out to my credit union to get the loan. On May 6th they emailed me a copy of the sales invoice. On May 7th I sent them a copy of the approval letter my bank sent to me and told them they would be mailing the check as there is not a local branch. Just FYI I was never asked to put anything down on the car to hold which I would have gladly done so. On May 12th the check arrived and I called the chevrolet place May 13th to let them know I would be picking up the car on Friday. I was told by the salesman that would be fine to come on out. I asked for directions as I was coming from past Asheville and wanted a direct route. He couldn't give me any but told me he would have someone reach out with directions. No one called. I got to the car lot and the car that I wanted was sold the week before. I hit the roof!! yes it took awhile for the financing but for a salesman to tell me the day before over the phone that everything was fine and to come on out in the middle of gas shortage??!? Oh yes I was mad. 96.7 miles one way and all the salesman had to do was tell me the car sold last week. I understand these things but to get me to drive with two toddlers for 2 hours nearly 200 miles round trip and then tell me?? Furious. They wanted to do the bait and switch. The one car they showed me was new and out of my price range and the other I wouldn't have as it wasn't AWD. Simply furious!! I do not recommend this group and you can decide for yourself but I advise caution. They are not internet savvy and do not know how to deal with email and over the phone customers. No wonder so many are going to Vroom and Carvana. Pathetic. read more

I went to the dealership in Franklin and I had brought a flyer for the sale that was taking place. I was coerced into trying out a vehicle and afterwards we went inside, filled out some forms and all through this process I have stated that I am not looking to buy a vehicle, I was there to see if I had won an iPad as the flyer stayed. There flyer clearly said that no purchase was necessary to claim any prize won. When I left 4 hours later I felt dehydrated, irritated and deceived. Not was I in possession of the iPad that was on my flyer. I would seriously question the honesty, integrity and this establishment's practice of these flyers that are mailed out. The only selection of autos are well above what I can afford. there is no used autos for the average working person. the sales staff are pushing the inventory and they do not listen to the needs and wants of the average customer. I pay cash for the autos I purchase, I want that title in my hand when I leave. read more
