My husband and I looked at campers at five different dealers and selected one from Countryside RV in Colfax. Our salesperson, Loren, was low-key, very knowledgable, thorough and happily answered all our questions. We were able to finance our purchase, put down a deposit and return and sign all the paperwork and be given a full tour of how everything works on our camper. Even after we purchased it and took it out a couple times, we were able to reach out with a couple more questions, and had them answered professionally. We would definitely return to them, if we decide in a year or two, to move up to a larger camper. The price was competitive and the service we received was great. read more

Owner will not work on my new RV b/c I didn't buy it from them. I would have had years of service work and probably THOUSANDS of dollars of work coming there way....... Strange business plan. They must sell there own RVs much higher than everyone else so they don't need the service work. read more

I was going to buy a Motor Home from Countryside RV and Trailer Sales in Colfax, IA. The salesperson was Mike, the son of the owner. I gave them a credit card and was told the deposit would be $500.00. We ask if when we came to pick up the RV, if we were dissatisfied in any way, they would not charge our credit card. We said even if we do not like the way it handles on the road. Mike assured us that it would not be a problem. We asked again are you sure and he said yes. We went to pick it up today, 08/23/2019. Mike was not there, so someone else showed us how it worked, etc. We noticed that a cushion on the dining room seat was torn on each end. We looked below and there were signs that a mouse or rat had been chewing on the cushion. We were told the cabinets were hardwood. We noticed they were peeling in quite a few places. Mike's father, the owner came down to resolve the problem and got very hateful when we said we were not satisfied, he said well you will not get the $500 back! We had not even signed a contract yet! In fact, Mike said we would not sign until we were completely satisfied. As we walked into the building to discuss this further, my wife was behind him and he slammed the door and hit her arm. She said to him, you almost hit my head instead of just my arm. I told him we would dispute this charge and call the BBB. He said, I do not give a damn what you do! Before we could get on the road, we got an alert on our mobile phone that Countryside charged my card for $500. I called our credit card company immediately and I am disputing this charge. Horrible person and horrible customer service! Hopefully, our credit card company will handle this, if not, maybe a lawyer. If my wife's arm continues to hurt, She will be going to the doctor to have her arm checked. I am 73 years old and have never dealt with this type of customer service in my life! read more

If you're looking for pleasant service from the lady answering the phone or Bill, don't get your hopes up. I dropped my camper off to have some work done on the water system. Mike was one of the guys working on it. He was very nice and easy to talk to. When I picked up my camper I noticed they left the fresh water tank cap off. It was a Sunday when I picked it up so no one was there to talk to. I left a message that day. Four days later and no response. I called and spoke to Bill. There was no apology or anything. They also left a cap off the hot water system so when I ran water the first time it was pouring out the side. The cap was sitting in the system so I was able to stop the leak. When I told Bill that, he said that they leave that off or else it will start to stink. I'm a new owner so it would have been nice to know that. He didn't seem to care too much. Overall I probably wouldn't recommend using them again. I just think you should treat your customers better. read more
