She did blood work which was good, so she treated him for a stomach bug, gave him a shot to ease his stomach (mind you he only threw up that one time). I called back as instructed on Monday morning, explained to the person who answered the phone the situation, that he was sicker and lethargic, they never called me back until the afternoon, said that no one could see him and there was nothing they could do, they suggested taking him to a 24 hour emergency. But they are our veterinarian. 35 hours later he was dead, we were in FL at this point and he had an appointment to the hospital, but didn't make it. When we took him on Wednesday morning to be cremated, we saw the Vet and explained the symptoms, and he informed us that Zebra Mussels are highly toxic and something should have been done on Saturday. I called Columbia on Wednesday afternoon and left a message for the Dr. and today a week later still have heard nothing from the Clinic, I'm so saddened by their lack of caring and their lack of investigation into Zebra Mussels, to help my poor dog. I will never return there for anything.
