They provided the cabinetry for our kitchen, laundry room, custom entertainment center, and the built-ins and floating shelves beside our fireplace--and everything turned out beautifully. From the moment I walked into the showroom, Liad, Lily, and Ruby made me feel genuinely welcomed. The showroom was beautiful, and Liad patiently walked me through all of the cabinet options. He really knew his stuff and had excellent ideas for improving the kitchen layout. Before I left, he gave me an incredibly reasonable quote that made the decision easy. I have also been extremely impressed by the quality of the cabinets. They feel sturdy and well made, the finish is beautiful, and they offer excellent quality for the price. Although these are RTA cabinets, you would never know it from the finished result. Liad worked closely with his recommended installer, Arturo, to make everything look and feel completely custom. They crafted a beautiful range hood, customized a broom closet to fit our needs, and the included cabinet accessories that were such a nice (and useful!) added touch. The team quickly created 3D renderings and remained patient and responsive through the many changes I made along the way. Our entertainment center was a custom design, and it turned out even better than I imagined. When I was finally ready to place the order, Liad worked his magic to get everything delivered quickly and keep the project moving. Arturo was also wonderful to work with. He was incredibly patient with all of my questions and requests--and there were many! His team's craftsmanship and attention to detail made such a difference in the final result. More than anything, I truly felt as though everyone treated me like a friend rather than just another customer. I cannot say enough about how happy I am with the quality, service, and finished spaces. I cannot stress enough how much of a mistake it was to choose San Diego Custom Cabinets for our kitchen cabinets on an Encinitas project. The workmanship is absolutely appalling (bad). The cabinets started showing signs of wear and tear within just a year. Some panels (dishwasher) corroded and started peeling. The gaps between panels were uneven and unsightly at time of build but especially over time became worse, and to top it all off, the cabinets have actually changed color over time, going from a dark brown (walnut) to a tiger orange. It's obvious all materials were of the cheapest and lowest quality, but beyond that the company's response to these issues was to push back and simply state the warranty period had expired. I should add, it was not only the faces of the cabinets that failed miserably, but the boxes were poorly constructed, including cheap/failing hardware (like the trash pull out which constantly fails (hardware becomes loose and needs to be manually tightened monthly). At this point, we've had no choice but to demolish the entire cabinetry system. We have incurred massive costs (since prices have dramatically changed) and our clients are displaced during this demo period. I'm beyond disappointed with this purchase and this company and would strongly advise anyone considering this company to look elsewhere. As a company and brand, we will not be working with SD Custom Cabinets in the future. We will not be endorsing them. And if actual or prospective clients ask for our vote of confidence or recommendation, we will point them to this review.

Horrible experience!…read more Full kitchen & bath remodel. We chose Cabinets World SD for the cabinets. Primarily because the line they rep (Fabuwood) had the finish we wanted. Collene does not listen to the customers needs/wants. For example, she insisted the range go on the long wall -- the range would've stuck out into the pathway between two other rooms, which makes no sense. Had to force the design change. Additionally, she makes assumptions about the cabinet placement without checking with the owner(s). Example: cabinets came unfinished/unskinned on some ends because she 'assumed' they were against a wall. In the construction field, there's a process called 'Request for Information' (RFI) to clarify projects. (I'm in the construction industry on the design side.) Don't think she's aware of the purpose of an RFI. They demanded full payment up front. We pushed back on that and made the final payment upon delivery. Should've held back though until everything was unpacked and inspected. Some of the cabinets (Fabuwood) came damaged. Pieces missing, etc. She blamed everyone she could and took no responsibility for anything. It took so long to get all the missing & damaged components that we were considering having our installer move in. Of course, Cabinets World SD would not pay for the installer's extra time. Nor would they cover the additional freight costs from FedEx. The Fabuwood cabinets are OK. I don't think they are worth the premium price we paid and Fabuwood needs a better transport carrier as even some of the replacement cabinets came damaged the second time. All in all there are much better choices for cabinets in San Diego. EDIT: Never complained because I was concerned I'd be left high and dry getting the replacement cabinets, missing pieces, etc. The review stands.

I went through several bids and talked with several companies about this, and Cabinets and More got the bid because Harry, their project manager, demonstrated a genuine caring for the quality of the work done. He personally went to my home to check my measurements and scheduled a prompt install that worked around my countertop install. Juan, Ken, and Tian did a wonderful job on the install - everything was level, plumb, and sturdy, and everything fit perfectly despite the level of customization required. The cabinets are very good quality, made of solid wood and sturdy hardware. I would use Cabinets and More again in a heartbeat. He told our contractor that he gave us samples and said slab doors can't be solid wood. It is true that we had dozens of samples while selecting wood species and colors.
