1-I read Martin Z's 1 star review and recognized he had an unpleasant experience but could be just because they're too busy to schedule him in and were rude to an angry customer. Honestly, you guys are doing a business, you should make amends because the average Yelper isn't as bold as I am. You're hurting yourselves. Angry customer deserves an apology. 2-Mike B's 5 star review felt like this was a bogus review written by a friend of the business or an employee. haha... sorry to call you out on it but it's obvious this was in retaliation to the 1 star review. 3-MY experience would've been a 5 star review if the office lady whom I called was more pleasant. She wasn't rude but neither was she hospitable. She's got that old school Italian American New Yorker attitude where she comes off as abrupt but that's just the way an old school New Yorker is. Picture Janine from Ghostbusters answering the phone but grumpier. (if you don't know the reference then you're too young to recognize the old school new yorker I'm describing.) In terms of service, my uncle needed to have his sprinkler system flushed for the winter and we scheduled it, the guys came and did their job in a professional manner with little pleasantries. Honestly, my uncle's English is okay but he'd rather not speak it so he loved not having to converse with them and MOST CERTAINLY WILL USE THEM AGAIN! Actually he's going to have to call again because it was below freezing yesterday; he doesn't think they completed the task due to some ice that has already formed. It's not their fault, it's the way it works. Can we get a discount since it was no one's fault? read more

They came out over 3 weeks ago to examine my backflow valve that needed to be replaced. They came on a Friday and promised a quote by Monday. I have called numerous times to get the quote and have received no call backs from them. Poor experience. I would use someone else for any irrigation related issues. read more

Rude & nasty people that answer the phone at County Irrigation. Made an appointment over two weeks ago and the technicians were supposed to show up between 8-11. I called at 8:27 am to verify they were still coming and I was told I was the next stop. At 10:52 am County Irrigation was still a no show. I called to try and get an ETA and was told by the woman who answered the phone she would call the technician and call me back. At 11:12 am, no call back and still a no show. When I call back, I get a rude and nasty treatment from the same woman who answered the phone. At this point I wasted half a day for a company who I made an appointment with over two weeks ago, and I get a no call and no show by the company. Then when I try to get an updated ETA, I get an extremely belligerent attitude from the company I have been a customer with for 7 years. Real nice! The manager did call me back and did politely explain that the technician who was supposed to come to my house was knee deep in mud and couldn't respond to calls from him or the office. I get that and understand. However, your company lost a long term customer not because of the no call, no show. Your company lost a long term customer because of the nasty attitude of your office staff. And from reading some of the recent reviews on here I see that I am not the only one who received nasty treatment from your office staff. When customers call your office we hear a message that "calls are recorded for quality assurance purposes". Maybe management might want to listen to some of these calls. read more

I highly recommend County Irrigation Services! I have a fenced in back yard with a very narrow driveway which is a challenge to access with any large equipment. This was not an issue for the County Irrigation crew! They did an amazing job and were true professionals! Customer service is lacking from the people who answer the phones who are rude and curt to the people who come out to your home who are lacking knowledge of the business. Owner is only interested in making money and makes promises to customers he doesn't follow through with. Don't waste your time or your money with County Irrigation, much better customer service elsewhere. read more

I never review but since day communication is horrible. The women answers the phone with an attitude like I'm bothering her. They say if you are a standing customer and need you open or close your sprinklers you don't have to call. It's mid November and still no one here. Same happened in the spring I finally called and got an appointment. Opened my sprinklers and did other work on the sprinkler lines for me and left my front and back a muddy mess. I let go cause my yard is not easy with all the roots. But I never had this problem with my old sprinkler company. Now it's fall and once again I have to call to try and get them here. Girl has an attitude I did respond saying "I'm not sure I like the way your company works. First thing she says is "You can go elsewhere ". All she needed to say is it's a bit crazy, maybe a sorry but no she did not. Unfortunately I didn't respond well my bad. But her attitude really got to me. Dude they sent over here yells so loud. Yells at us, yells at people he works with... waking up all my neighbors bright and early at 8am just yelling. First thing that's wrong about them. Second thing- charged 150 and left sprinklers bubbling water instead of spraying water. When we called back about this- he said we need to pay another 150-200 to fix this. Couldn't believe what I was hearing until I checked yelp and saw all the bad reviews. Now it makes sense. They are fired. Finding new people to service us. read more

Company called back promptly and scheduled a fast turnaround. Serviceman showed up promptly and fixed my problem which was a broken riser and a broken head. Cost was reasonable. Definitely would recommend. read more

Called them to get a quote on replacing a sprinkler head, $80 for them to come to my residence $30 for the sprinkler head and then I was told "and however long it takes for them to do the job". I had to pull from her that the price was actually 80+30-+150hr!! Very SHADY! Not to mention the lady had an attitude when I questioned the pricing. The woman answering your calls is costing you business in the neighborhood I live in. read more

Previous owners of my house used County Irrigation so I continued. A couple new technicians came by to start up sprinklers and said the previous techs had left a huge mess of things. They spent most of their time trying to figure out where things were and giving confused looks because the notes they had were useless. When they finished, they charged more than double what I had paid in the past, because this company is somehow not responsible for its own screwups. Will never use them again. read more

This company has a "supervisor" with attitude. Brandon hung up on me. The company went to a rental house that i own in March to turn ON my sprinklers. After they turned them ON with the set up, they turned my timers back OFF. I paid to have them turned ON, not left with the timers OFF. My lawn is now dead from the sprinklers not being on. Do not trust them!! Even as a customer of many years, they refuse to do the right thing and go back to turn them on. HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I've been a customer for many years and it has been a great convenience having the sprinkler system rather than lugging the hose and sprinkler around and try to get all the lawn and shrubs, etc., properly watered Most years the turn-on and turn-off are fairly routine; this year there was a problem with one of the valves so that meant a 2d visit by the technicians and a $160 charge to replace it. Then the system didn't work at all because it turned out there was a broken wire in the outside box where they had replaced the valve. The wire was repaired a week later without charge and now the system works fine. I am recommending them to a neighbor and ascribe this season's troubles to the age of the system and perhaps some inattention to not fully checking the system before leaving. Overall I am a satisfied customer. read more

Lol at the owner threatening to sue. First of all, there is no difference between install and repair. if you know how to install, you know how to repair. Well I used this company for my backwash inspection. They were the cheapest place on the list that the town sends. They go under the name Falcetta on that list. I needed to cap some sprinkler heads so I called around for pricing and again they were the cheapest. I was suspect of it so a few days later I called back asking specific pricing questions and yet again I was told the same price $80 for the service call plus the cost of parts. To cap the sprinkler heads the parts were a couple of dollars. I asked for the worst case quote to cap 5 heads and they said about $125. They get here and show me two sprinkler heads was not working so I asked the cost of that and they were $55 each. Made sense to do it now to avoid another service call. So I'm like what are we talking $250 max? Yup. Okay at the end I get a $400 bill. Guy wouldn't leave without payment. I called the office and they now mention it's also $150 a hour. Not to mention the worker was doing nothing for the first half hour. Again guy wouldn't leave without payment. My newborn son was hungry and irritable and I just couldn't fight anymore. The woman at the office said she would review the bill and get back to me the next day. I asked to not cash the check until the first. Of course I never got a call and the check was cashed within a couple of days. read more

More specifically, it interesting that the owner threatens a customer with litigation and then doesn't actually describe what was false about Martin Z's review. I've had problems 3 years in a row when starting up my system in the spring after County Irrigation blew out the system in the fall. Split hoses, fractured heads (one spring there were 4), etc...I am so done with them. The hoses are buried about 8" inches down so please don't say some one accidentally did something. I've noticed they are in a big rush when blowing out the lines and don't take the extra 30 seconds needed until the mist stops completely. I spent Sunday on my hands and knees isolating and repairing your laziness. Thank you very much. read more

If I could have given them a zero I would have. County Irrigation installed my system a few years ago and about 3 years ago I started having issues. Water pipes rattling until they almost burst. Long story short, no one has resolved it. I paid for repeated visits and "fixes" that were just a money grab because the problem still exists. Was told that these "fixes" lessened the problem so in essence it was "good" and I would have to pay for the "fix". That's like saying you cut your arm off and I gave you a bandaid to stem the bleeding - it's "better". Repeated requests to speak to the owner who designed the system and who"promised" to be at my house in the spring (2019,) in person, when the system was turned on to address the problem once and for all (needless to say he did not show up) went unheeded - always unavailable or on vacation. I asked for a call back when he returned from vacation this summer. That was back in August and I am still waiting. To add insult to injury account balances were paid but I am still being dunned for the money. I have the cancelled check! Funny they remembered my phone number to dun me for money I don't owe but not when I am seeking answers to a problem that has been ongoing for nearly 3 years. Sad that pride in ones work and customer service are not priorities here. read more

Last year, I noticed a high water bill, I checked my sprinklers, noticed a few leaks, called County Irrigation and they charged over 300.00 for repairs. One leaked was not fixed......I let it go. Winter came and went, I turn on the system and of course the same leak is there, called County Irrigation, they tell me I have to wait 2 weeks....... dilemma, let my grass die or waste water. I slept on it. Wake up the next morning, and there's a spanking new County Irrigation truck parked in front of my house. I was elated until I stepped out of my house. They were installing a sprinkler system on my neighbors lawn. Spoke to a guy whose arm was in a sling about my problem, says he only does installations, but the side of the truck says repairs. I guess I'm missing something. County Irrigation originally installed my sprinkler system ten years ago, from a wireless gadget they charged over 200.00 for that doesn't work to a lot of minor incompetence, they've taken a lot of money from me. I also had a huge problem with County .I used them for about ten years without any problems at all until ... Summer of 2015 they did the turn on replaced heads , did some maintence on my system . After I went on vacation and came home to dead flower beds and lawn . The sprinkler system was not working at all . They did not reimburse me at all for my annuals , after this they did come out to fix it . Summer of 2016 they came and did the turn on and maintenance , I had a large stream of water shooting out from under my deck. The Solution they gave me was to cut out a 17 feet by 6 feet portion of my deck out to find the leak . I said no .I would have to literally build a new deck ? I did contact another company who pulled out 2 slats of deck and fixed the problem and put the slats back in place and fixed the problem with no damage . I did contact County and told them this . they do not care . I agree with other costumers they are irate and are not professional . Unfortunately for me the company I used went under so I'm here searching again and of course County comes up , Im adding my 2 cents confirming the bad reviews . Shammy read more

I have found County Irrigation to be a great company to do business with. I did have a stumbling block one day when I called when 2 of my sprinkler heads in 2 different zones were not working. The receptionist told me they wouldn't be in my area for another 2 weeks. I explained that my lawn would be dried up and yellow by that time. She still said they wouldn't be in the area for 2 weeks. I asked for a manager to call me back. She put me on hold and got back on the phone within a few minutes, apologized for her misunderstanding and told me they'd be there the very next day. AND...They WERE there and fixed the problem. If the manager doesn't know your problem, then he can't fix it. Sometimes in business you get an employee trying to be helpful but not realizing rules can be bent. She was going by a schedule but hadn't realized it could be amended. The other review I read seems like it wasn't a fair review. County Irrigation installed my system over 10 years ago and I have had nothing but great experiences with them. They respond to any emergencies I've ever had and if the problem wasn't fixed, they came back the next day and made it good. I would recommend them to any of my friends or family. Their prices are reasonable as well. read more
