They are the best. Everything is perfect when it comes to my sprinkler system. They are responsive to all phone calls

Never get a call back, much less a human on the phone. They put in a new system when we rebuilt the house and every year they turn on and turn off the system. Up until this year we had no problems...as long as we accommodated their schedule. This year they wanted to close down the system in early October and I asked them not to because I felt it was too early and I still needed to use the water hoses for cleaning. Now they can't come back, the weather is freezing and I'm concerned for my system. Their answer to me was to leave me a message REMINDING me that they are a Nassau County based company and don't get out to Suffolk County often. Funny, they forgot to tell me that when they accepted the job and put in an entirely new system. Moral of the story: THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TREAT A LONG TIME CUSTOMER. read more

After living in my house for 35 or so years, I decided to get in ground sprinklers. After asking so.e neighbors for a recommendation, I called South Bay Irrigation. These people are amazing as is the system. Jimmy, the son, did the measurements and figured out how many sprinkler heads and zones we needed as we have several different areas that needed to be watered. Their price was reasonable and their work impeccable. We went with the wifi controller which was a pain to set up but now I can turn on and off the system using my phone wherever I might be. The person who answers the phone is extremely unprofessional and difficult to deal with. I called to complain about my service call; however, I was shouted down the minute I tried to explain my concern. As this woman was screaming at me, I hung up. She called me back and left a message saying that since I was not going to pay, which I never said, she was going to send her worker back to my house to remove the 1 sprinkler head that they repaired for $110.00. Imagine...I have lived in a home for 40 years and worked with many people, I never wrote a bad review - however, this company customer service deserves just that! read more

Called South Bay on a tip from my electrician and set a date for them to come turn on my sprinkler system. We bought the house in February and had no idea how anything worked. They said between 12 and 2. Showed up at 12:05. In under an hour they had my system up and running. Had to fix a few heads and even gave me a break on one of them. Fast, reasonable and professional. This is South Bay Irrigation responding To Suzy's review of our business. Suzy called the office to set up a service call. She said her system was already on & just needed us to come out for a broken head. She was given a price for the service call + whatever it would be to replace the head. She said she did NOT need everything checked. We got to the house & no one was home. We were able to run the sprinkler from outside & replace the broken head. That she called & complained about. We got a call 3 weeks later complaining that we did not check everything & she had another problem. I told her that she made an appt to just replace the head. She said she already had the sprinkler turned on. Since no one home for the appointment we replaced the head that she said was broken. She said she would never pay $65 for someone to come to the house for a broken head. I spoke to her myself. I always give the price prior to coming out. Especially for a new customer. Why schedule an appointment & not even be home for it & wait 3 weeks to call & complain about the charges & why everything else wasn't checked? She wasn't happy with my answer & hung up the phone. I even called her neighbor who recommended her to us. The neighbor was so embarrassed by her behavior & couldn't apologize enough since she was the one who recommended her. We have always done right by every customer. Funny how when you get an answer you don't like, we come on to Yelp to bash the company. Not going to not respond to people that lie & tell half truths. Would have been more than happy to go back to the house if there was a problem with the work we did. But will not be yelled at & hung up on. You called us for the appointment. Maybe you should have been home for the appointment you scheduled!! Never an apology for not being home for the appointment. Not sure why it took 3 weeks to call with a complaint. If there was a problem she should have called the next day. Didn't have a problem with the bill until 3 weeks later when she saw there was a new problem!!!
