I have been using Pacific Lawn Sprinklers for a few years now. They have been very reliable each year with sprinkler turn on service in the Spring and winterization in the Fall. I had a sprinkler leak and reached out to them for repair. They showed up promptly the next day, identified the problem, dug up the section of piping and repaired in an hour. Be aware they have a $110 trip fee that they charge no matter what. Every other home services provider that I have dealt with in 30 years of owning a home will waive or put the fee towards whatever work needs to be done. If you decide to go with someone else or not do the work then you get hit with the fee. I'm OK with that. But that's not how this company operates. I had a leak. Adam showed up. I showed him the leak. He dug it up and fixed it and charged me. Perfectly fine. And then they charged the $110 on top of that. They refuse to waive it. IF you're OK with this policy, then you will probably like them. IF like me, you think this is not customer friendly, then be aware and you may want to consider one of the many alternatives. I was a repeat customer for them with winterizations, spring start up, etc. Because of their policy, they lost my business. Edited in response to owner's comments as she is leaving out critical information. Donna R says she listened to the call but she is leaving out that she also heard me comment about the fee and express dissatisfaction with it. She also heard me say that the leak was in the same place where last year they replaced a valve component. I expressed on the call that I thought it would be a warranty repair. THAT is the only reason I agreed to have them come out. As it turns out it was not related to the valve and thus I was responsible for the repair. Which was fair and have no problem paying. And regardless of whether or not I was told up front, it is not a customer friendly policy. One that I would not have accepted if not for the possibility of warranty coverage. And one that i will not accept moving forward. And no, Donna R., I'm not calling the office to discuss. I don't need to hear you explain the policy again. It is what it is. Do not use this company. Total scam artists. Especially the East Brunswick NJ location. I paid 640 to have sprinklers fixed at a new house I bought. I was told my irrigation system worked in some areas, and some they didn't work. NONE worked, so I left as is and my trees died. He was also supposed to show up on a Sunday (see screenshot), to fix the other irrigation zone that he said wasn't working. Never showed up, never answered a call or text again. I reached the franchise owner, Harold. Another total duplicitous deadbeat. Said he will handle it, send him screenshots. I did on Tuesday morning. Never got back to me EVER. Finally he responds days later that I was getting refunded the 639. But it typical Harold fashion, yet another lie. I was partially refunded, 426. I had to file a dispute with my credit card for the remaining amount. They also put sprinklers in that don't hit all my trees, so more trees died. Also said he set my system up on a timer for 2am. Also never happened. DO NOT EVER USE THIS PLACE. Outside of being incompetent, they are too afraid to answer the phone. Especially the owner Harold. I have other houses and would have used them again if they were good. But since they have no business sense they lose current and future business. Genius business model guys. Pacific Lawn is good with a few caveats. Pros: 1. They came on time and gave a reasonable estimate 2. They did a nice job with the installation 3. The installation guys were nice. Cons: 1. They rescheduled me after an appointment was made. This was a pain because I had to take off from work. 2. The techs spoke horrible English. We could not understand them. 3. They told us we would receive an estimate in 3 hours, but they meant 3 days. 4. We had questions about our system, but they really could not answer. 5. The 800/customer service reps gave different answers. Bottom line they were ok, but would not recommend. read more

they have a poor billing department. you call for an estimate, they give you one and say there is no service charge if you go ahead with the work. then after you have them do the work and pay the bill, you keep getting a bill for the initial estimate. I have an ongoing fight with them over this issue. they are a chain and a big corporation and dot know how to simply follow their own guidelines. Extremly overpriced company. Charged me $999 to replace 8 heads that they said were needing to be replaced even though they were working fine and then said that they had to straighten out the rest of them. I initially called because I had a zone that wasn't working and they couldn't figure out why. I have since had an independent tech that works on the side fix it in 10 minutes. I was told that the replaced heads had a year warranty. One of them has since broken and I was told I would have to pay a service fee for them to come out and make sure it was broken because it was faulty. They sent me constant emails trying to get me to buy their maintenance package. Would not recommend them unless you want to pay an outrageous price and then more money to fix something that is under warranty. read more

Thanks to my good friend, TC for recommending me Pacific Lawn Sprinklers. Yesterday, I called and spoke with Donna W. about scheduling a service call. First, she asked about my zip code to determine the pricing (see screenshot). Donna W. took down detailed notes as I was explaining to her about my lawn sprinklers. She was able to schedule me between 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM for today's appointment. I got a call from Ricky H. that he was on his way. When he arrived, my dad and I wore our masks to greet him while social distancing. I explained to him about the left lawn was gushing out so much water which knocked out the sprinkler head that my dad got that from Home Depot. The right lawn, there was water coming through the brick pavement then across the sprinkler head didn't work at all. Ricky H. didn't waste any time because he started working from the left lawn then moving over to the right lawn. He was shoveling up the dirt and grass, repairing and replacing new parts, and positioning and testing out the new sprinkler heads. Ricky H. was explaining his process to me and I tried my best to translate to my dad so he can understand. He removed two bricks from the pavement and pointed out that it was concrete underneath so he needed to dig up the water line. Thank god, Ricky H. was able to repair the problem from where he was digging....phew! Lastly, he replaced the broken sprinkler head and repositioned it. Ricky H. turned on the sprinkler system again to make sure that all the sprinkler heads are working properly. It was smooth sailing until the sprinkler heads next to my neighbor's fence weren't working. He informed us that this was a new problem and I would need to schedule him back for a follow-up visit. Ricky H. provided us with a breakdown estimate for today's service call. I was waiting for one of the supervisors to return my phone call. I missed the first supervisor's call but I was able to connect with another supervisor around 3ish pm today. Nicole was able to schedule my follow-up visit. I let her know that my dad and I were satisfied with Ricky H's job today. Tip: Remember to call and schedule your blow outs no later than November! I highly recommended Ricky H. because he showed great professionalism and provided excellent customer service to us! read more

I had my sprinklers winterized and at the end gave the technician a check for $100. Two months later I just received an invoice for $6.63! When I called to ask about the charge they told me it was the tax and that they "had to cover expenses". I asked what did the $100 I spent on a 15 min job do?? I did a winterization with Pacific. In the spring when I turned on my sprinklers there was a broken pipe. I called them to fix it. I asked if I should be covered since I did the winterization but the repair man said a car probably ran over the sprinkler head. Mind you, the sprinkler head was not broken, it was the pipe under ground. He said it would cost $130 plus tax. I agreed to pay that amount to get it fixed even though his explanation was ridiculous. When I got the bill I had a charge for 130 I had agreed to and 90 for spring start up which I never did. I called them to explain that the 90 was a mistake because I didn't do that service and I was told that it really wasn't for the spring start up but rather a service call for the repair. Constant lies, no care for good customer service. This company is not what they used to be. read more

They had to come out four times after the installation: 1.The sprinklers were set so that the water was a stream instead of a sprinkler, that flooded the tree beds; 2. they changed my timer for the sprinkler to go off from 7: oo, which I had, to 2:00 pm.; 3. When the fixed #1, the stream was so short that my lawn died by the tree beds; 4. They had to replace a defective sprinkler head, the installer made it very clear that since it was defective, it would be no charge, they are billing me for this. We moved in our new home in May 2022 and the sprinkler system was not turned at all that summer. I asked a friend who recommeded Pacific. It needed a lot of work from broken pipes and broken sprinkler heads to a nasty old control box that needed to be relocated. Pacific fixed it all in a few hours one spring morning. After some more research, because they claim they used a "commercial" head - looks like Hunter brand from what I see in the yard - it looks like the parts might have cost as much as $7-10. So they charged me $631 to put in $35 of plastic and turn the water on over the course of 45 minutes. Note they also told me they include labor and warranty in the $75 sprinkler head price. I guarantee their pricing model is setup like it is to make it difficult for the average consumer to figure out the extreme markup on labor. It's just a dishonest business practice. I have used Pacific Lawn Sprinkler and was happy with their service. Where I have an issue is with their advertised pricing. I was emailed an advertisement from Pacific Sprinkler for winterization, 1-6 zones, for $90. I have four zones. I went to schedule the advertised winterization and it went up to $125. It seems they have a two tiered pricing system depending on your zip code for the exact same services. Two tiered pricing does not seem right to me for the same services. read more

They quoted us $100, to charge us over $500 for a spring opening and a couple of sprinkler heads. The agreed amount when the landscaper arrived was around $325 split into two invoices (one invoice for around $325 dollars and the other for around $180: The second invoice was made for the town to pay due to local construction damage as was part of the initial $325 bill). When we accidently paid both invoices online, they refused to refund the additional invoice that was accidentally paid for. They instead offered us a $50 coupon on our next service. Each sprinkler head you replace is sold to you at 10x the market price in the name of "includes labor & warranty" and even readjusting existing heads that should ideally be part of base service is charged at $25 a piece. DO NOT call this company if you have a major leak in your sprinkler system. I called for an emergency repair and explained that I had already had a leak detection company pinpoint the location of my leak that needed repair, and explained that the damage was most likely caused by tree roots. The soonest they could get a technician to my house was 6 days which I agreed to and thought was reasonable. When the technician arrived at 2pm to do the repair he told me that he didn't have the right tools and needed more time. He said that he would be back the next day and that I had to pay a $75 service fee that would be applied to the repair. I paid the fee, and then about an hour later received an email informing me that the next available technician could not come to my house for two weeks. I have had to shut off the water to my house because of the severity of the leak for over a week waiting for this company to do absolutely nothing which has cost me $75.
