This school tour/orientation BLEW our socks off! Easily went to the #1 spot for her and us. From the attendant at the parking garage to their awesome grounds, everything was fantastic. The inbrief was very well orchestrated. You could tell a lot of time and effort went into making sure we understood what the school stands for and how proud each of them are of being DUKE! The campus is breathtaking enriched in history. Our ambassador Matt Rowe (tour guide) was top notch! He's right with 22,000 students this big school, definitely has a small school vibe. Great job JMU!

I had heard good things about their pumpkin patch last year and wanted to check it out this fall…read more The pumpkin patches I've visited in the past didn't have an entrance fee and $10 felt like a bit much to pay per person (especially for a 2 year old!) But now that we've been I think that the amount and variety of activities justifies the price. It's also nice that everything inside is included in the admission fee. My three kids had a blast exploring all of the grounds with various cute playground structures, swings, and slides. Several gardens, a tug of war station, a zip line, a small petting/feeding area, bunnies to watch, giant jenga and connect four - all generously spaced out with plenty of shaded areas and seating for parents and grandparents to relax. The corn maze is large but not TOO large. We took a photo of the maze map and were able to make our way out in 15 minutes (we took our stroller in without a problem). The tractor ride up to the pumpkin patch was a lot of fun for the kids and the views are very pretty. They did a great job of sanitizing in between rides as well. You can pick your pumpkins from the fields or from the store - both options are $0.50/lb). One thing I wouldn't recommend is their food. While very reasonably priced ($3.50 for hamburgers, $2 for hot dogs, and $2 for fries) the line was excessively long, the food took forever to arrive, and also wasn't very good. (Have you ever had over-fried funnel cake? So sad.) Next time we'll pack our own lunch. *just a note: this year due to COVID19 there are no pig races and no train rides

Taking advantage of this offer, my husband and I went to see "Oppenheimer" in the morning, and then returned to see "The Hill" in the afternoon. We easily purchased our tickets at a kiosk. You're able to select your seats from one of the menus. Each of the two theaters we visited holds about 155 patrons. (There are 14 theaters). The seats were comfortable enough and had two beverage holders at each seat. The seats are slanted, so you are able to see the screen from every seat without seeing the back of others' heads. These weren't however the super comfy seats of more modern movies though, and there is limited leg room if patrons need to pass you. The aisle/steps have lights to make it easier if you need to leave while the movie is still playing. Many patrons stepped out for a bathroom break during Oppenheimer as it's a 3 hour movie! The sound system was fine though, like many theaters, it was set WAY too loud. There were also far too many previews of upcoming movies and advertisements for concessions. Regal was also offering a combo small popcorn and soda for $4 for National Cinema Day, but we didn't buy one. The theater was clean and had free and plentiful parking. We would return, even with their usual pricing -- though their regular prices are quite steep. Regal does, however, offer a $21.99/month plan wherein you can watch unlimited movies.

We have been to regal many times before to see our favorite movies such as obsession and black phone too, which are both rated R movies. This is important because we were going to see a new movie that just came out called Buddy, whenever we walked in, we walked up to check our tickets to go sit in the movie theater and whenever we walked up, we were immediately welcomed with rude customer service. he checked our tickets and told us what theater to go to and a very unpolitely and rude attitude. He then asked us for our IDs mind you we were with a trusted 22 year-old adults and where we are the legal law in state says that we need to have a adult above the age of 21 he has been asked us for all of our IDs. I then asked him if school IDs were appropriate because we are all in high school. He then said if you are not of the age of 18, there is no point in a very unwelcoming and rude attitude so then we left wasting our time and money at this stupid dirty theater. Do not come here unless you want to waste your time there is a specific reason why this theater is 2.8 stars and it is not gaining any of those stars from us. never coming back here. they played in our face and I will be sticking to our Charlottesville regal Theatre and the Alamo thank you. I hope this is helpful to those in the future, wanting to go here. Do not come to ghetto Berg. Thank you.
