May 2026 I don't write many reviews, but if I can prevent…read moresomeone else from making the same mistake I did with this hotel, then I feel like I've done my job. From the moment we checked in around 4 p.m. on 5/8/26, I had a feeling this stay wasn't going to be great. To be clear, I don't expect front desk staff to throw a welcome party or act overly cheerful. I do, however, expect basic adult interaction and courtesy. The woman who checked us in was incredibly cold and unfriendly. The room itself had a decent layout, and the beds were fairly comfortable, but the furniture was absolutely disgusting. There were stains everywhere -- so bad that I wouldn't even let my daughter sit on the couch until I covered it with a sheet. I also found trash sitting openly on one of the chairs, not hidden in a cushion or tucked away, just left there in plain sight. I went back to the front desk to ask for another blanket to cover the chair. The employee returned with a bundled-up blanket from the back room, handed it over without a word or even a smile, and that was that. On Saturday, we had some downtime, so I decided to check out the pool. The walls were covered in green algae. Personally, it didn't completely gross me out since it's no different than swimming in a lake or river, but if cleanliness is important to you, you may want to skip the pool altogether. One thing that wasn't the staff's fault was the road noise from the highway. It was pretty loud throughout the stay, but that's more on the building's design and location than the employees. Checking out Sunday morning was just as unpleasant as check-in. No greeting, no "have a good day," nothing. The employee had a cell phone in one hand while taking the room keys with the other. The one bright spot was the breakfast. It was surprisingly good considering the rest of the experience. The area was clean, well-maintained, and had a solid variety of options. Honestly, that's the only reason this place gets two stars from me.

Before my trip, the hotel was nearly sold out. Staying at this location was especially important because my son and his family live less than five minutes away, allowing me to celebrate my birthday with them. Rather than simply telling me there were no rooms available, Mr. Lamarr Vines took ownership of the situation. Over several days, he worked diligently to find accommodations, kept me informed throughout the process, and ultimately secured an excellent room. His professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine care made all the difference. He even acknowledged my birthday and continued providing exceptional service throughout my stay. It was clear that he truly enjoys helping guests. Having spent my career in leadership and customer service, I recognize when someone consistently exceeds expectations. Mr. Vines represents the very best of Hilton hospitality. In my organization, he would receive our "And Then Some Award" for going above and beyond in every way. I have stayed at this property before, but this visit stood out because of the outstanding service I received. My sincere thanks to Mr. Vines and the entire Hampton Inn & Suites Mansfield team for making my birthday trip such a memorable experience. I look forward to returning.

Letter sent manager.. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!…read more Dear Manager, I am writing to formally request a full refund for the two nights I was charged during my recent stay at your Comfort Inn property. During our stay, several serious issues occurred that made the room unsafe and prevented my family from receiving the lodging services that we paid for. First, the elevator was not working. My cousin, who has cerebral palsy, could not safely use the stairs, especially because the stairway area was dark due to lighting issues. Hotels are required to maintain accessible accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the lack of a functioning elevator created a serious accessibility problem. In addition, one evening the lights in our room stopped working completely. Instead of relocating us to another room with working electrical service, we were provided with an extension cord. An extension cord is not a reasonable accommodation. A reasonable accommodation would have been relocating us to a safe room with working lights and electrical service. The following day there was also a fire involving the microwave in our room. My aunt attempted to help put out the fire and was burned during the incident. The receptionist had to come from the front desk and use a fire extinguisher to put the fire out. I was also informed that breakfast would not be provided because there was no electricity. Breakfast was advertised as part of the stay, and therefore this was another service that was not provided. Additionally, it has repeatedly been stated that the power issues were due to weather conditions. However, during our conversation it was confirmed that the hotel was experiencing an internal electrical problem and was waiting for someone to come out and repair the circuit breaker. I was also told that because it was after hours and the issue occurred over the weekend, it was difficult to find someone to come out immediately. It is important to clarify that this did not appear to be a weather-related outage. There were lights operating at nearby businesses, including the hotel next door, QVC, and the restaurant across the street where we ultimately had to go for breakfast. This indicates that the electrical problem was isolated to your property. For this reason, I respectfully ask that the issue not be attributed to weather conditions. Based on the information provided to me at the time, it was an isolated electrical issue within the hotel. Because of the accessibility issues, electrical failure, the fire incident, and the failure to provide advertised services, the hotel did not provide the lodging services that were paid for. For these reasons, I am requesting a full refund for the two nights of my stay. I am not requesting a credit for a future stay, as I do not intend to return to this property. If this matter cannot be resolved promptly, I will continue pursuing the refund through my bank and through corporate customer relations. I would appreciate your prompt response. Sincerely, Lameka Jenkins

But most of all for the rude costumer service during our checkin as well as our check out process. This was my first time to the Arlington-Dallas area. I live in SA and a friend of mine was visiting from Hawaii. We have a mutual High school friend who lives there and she recommended this place to us. Once we walked into the establishment I knew how it was going to go. The greeting was mediocre and the explanation to my friend from Hawaii (which mind you she doesn't get off the island much) was rude and unnecessary as if it was common sense. Checking out wasn't any better. The "clerk" was on his personal cell phone carrying on a conversation while we're standing there waiting. Then after he gets done looks over and asks "oh did you need something?! " We definitely won't be staying here again let alone any Microtel establishments.
