If I could zero stars for the front desk I would but the house keeping are all that I am recommending. Housekeeping is caring and concerned. The front desk "Tamara" is the rudest person I have ever come intact with who is in customer service. She rented our room to another guest last night at @9:30. I kept hearing the someone putting in their key card and hearing a beep. My husband open the door to a family trying to get into our room. We called the front desk and "Tamara" claims she never sent anyone to our room. Yet the family outside our door said she told us this room number. The room was filthy, half a roll of toilet paper, no towels, no Kleenex. The coach in our suite was filthy. Please don't spare yourself the nightmare find another place to stay. read more

Came to the area for a funeral and found this hotel on google and it had 3.5 rating outt of 5, and other sites had it listed as 4 stars. (Not sure why I didn't come here for the most accurate rating-silly me) The staff didn't say a word to me until she need my ID, then to explain parking/ breakfast. We booked a double room and listed 5 occupants. They only had 3 towels in the room- not a big deal but also not convenient after a long day of bidding farewell. Since we had 5 people we figured one of the kids could just make a pallet on the floor however the front desk said they didn't have any extra pillows or blankets to provide - beds came w 3 pillows vs. 4 which was odd- no extra blankets in the room either. Pillows were hard and felt like there was large balls throughout the pilllows Our room had a large brown stain on the ceiling like Something had been leaking previously (we were in the top floor #4) Hallway floors looked like they hadn't been cleaned in MONTHS. Breakfast was average- the typical offerings - juice coffee, cereal, yogurt, waffles, eggs , biscuits and sausage links. The top to the sausage serving dish looked like it busted and they glued it back with wood glue. Looked very unappetizing to say the least. Didn't take pics as my phone was dead when I arrived but 10/10 do not recommend this hotel. read more

Absolutely filthy. Walls in the room were washed in filth. Loud AC and desk lamp covered ostensibly in cockroach spots. Cable in TV was torn out of connector. The furniture was chipped and cracked. The lampshades were all disgustingly stained. The tub was stained and rusty. I requested another room and the next was just the same (except the cable worked). Hotel would not refund my 5 day pre-paid stay. I ate the cost and went to the Best Western who welcomed us and gave me a decent discount based on my experience and lost cost at La Quinta. read more

No thank you, La Quinta! Firstly, we booked a handicapped accessible suite and none were available upon arrival. So already we have been short changed on our reservation. It was an hour of being their when we saw a huge cockroach walking in the bedroom. I have lived in Texas for a decade and never had to share my room with such a disgusting roommate. The worst was that no one in the hotel could help us...the front desk crew sort of shrugged their shoulders and (without masks) said maybe we can "do something tomorrow". That's just not good enough, La Quinta. We are visiting for a funeral this week and though there are not many options here, we shouldn't have to stay in such conditions with no apology or help. Do not stay here!! This place is filthy! The hallway of our floor stunk so bad, it made my stomach turn. It could use a good vacuuming to say the least but a good shampoo, as well. Stains everywhere. Room was ok. Toilet seat was not bolted down on one side so luckily we all have good balance. Bathroom door would not latch close. To top it all off, our catalytic converter was stolen overnight! I give it a star for the price and having a roof and a foot on my room, but the tv didn't work properly, there was no hot water, and the sheets were dirty. I couldn't get another room because they were sold out. They didn't care about any of the issues. The evening guy said he would Tell the manager. HOW are you able to call me? LYING BEHIND..this place smelled like roaches, urine and mold...the room furniture is rotted and broken down, the mattresses are held together with duct tape and a mattress topper...NO MAID SERVICE, the pool and jacuzzi were BROKEN. The employees or people that collect whatever money they are being paid are RUDE AS HECK and this place is HORRIBLE and should be shut down, they have NO shuttle service and are just poorly maintained by the owners and staff. ~HOUSEKEEPER WALKED IN ON ME, A BUG ON THE PILLOW WHILE I WAS LAYING DOWN, NO HOT WATER & LOW WATER PRESSURE~ I stayed here this past weekend for a softball tournament that ran through the night into the early morning. When I checked in, I asked the lady if I could request no cleaning so I could get rest. I would be in & out through out the weekend. & that I would check out by 12, but please no knocks on the door any earlier. She said yes & made note. I also asked another girl the 2nd night I was there she also said "yes we know". I was checking out Sunday at 12p. I woke up to housekeepers banging on doors saying "housekeeping at 830am. Then I was getting dressed, NAKED in the bathroom & a house keeper knocked & walked in. I'm not sure if they can't read time, or if the hotel insists on them going earlier than 12. But I PAID for the room UNTIL 12PM. this is happened 1 too many times. I will write a review every time. So if you decide to stay here, just be expected to get woken up maybe a bug maybe no hot water. I give the breakfast a 7/10. read more

Had to get a last minute hotel on a Saturday night and we came here. The prices aren't bad and the room was nice, can't ask for much more than that. The room had plenty of space and the bed was comfy. The bedding was very nice, too. My one problem was that the shower head was too low (see picture), but that happens a lot. I was in town for a weekend visit. I've stayed here before but was very disappointed with the hotel this time. I checked in on Thursday. The room was clean. From that point on until check out on Monday the service was TERRIBLE! On Friday morning I left and spent the entire day away from the hotel . I returned on Friday evening and my room hadn't been touched. I reported this to the front desk and I was told they only clean the rooms every other day. I was also told you have to be checked in for 24 hours. Neither of those statements are true and were not included in the reservation when I reserved and paid for the room in advance. Regardless, I was already a guest for 24 hours. Sunday, I again spent the day away from the hotel. When I returned in the evening the person at the front desk asked if if someone had cleaned my room. I said, "Don't you know that?" At that point I hadn't even returned to my room. When I returned to my room I once again discovered it has not been refreshed/cleaned. I returned to the front desk to register another complaint. The person said, "I don't understand. There's a note here from yesterday requesting the room to be cleaned." I said, "Obviously someone didn't follow up on my complaint from yesterday. I come to this area several times per year. I've stayed here in the past many times. I will be looking for another hotel for future visits. Something is different with this hotel this visit and I mentioned that to a hotel worker. I was told by one of the front desk staff that the hotel is under new ownership/management. That explains some of what I experienced but when a guest registers a concern/complaint regarding service to the front desk and the hotel staff doesn't take any action that's also a sure sign of incompetent staff running the day to day operations. read more

I just recently stayed at this location for a wedding in the surrounding area. The wedding was booked in 2015 & the hotel was reserved for out of town guests at the same time. Renovations & remodeling was to be completed prior to our arrival & the wedding date of March 11, 2016. Out of town guests including myself arrived at the location periodically to check in. When my Uber vehicle arrived, the lobby was empty. The doors opened up to a scarce building. The lights were all turned off, the entire lobby was empty (no furniture, decorations, etc). The floors as well as the reservation desk were all covered in plastic tarps & contractors were there painting the walls. The workers did not speak any English to confirm if this was the correct location or not. Both myself, sister & Uber driver had to roam around the building to actually find an employee of the hotel to see if this was the right location or not, considering we arrived from Pennsylvania & paid for our fees. We were told yes indeed this was the location & keys were given to us for our room. As we made our way there, we noticed that there was debris everywhere, new & old, half the floors were done. Let's just say it was a complete mess. We arrived to our room to open the door & get hit in the face with a foul, strong musty/smoky odor radiating from within. The hotel specifically states that is it "non-smoking". We then called the front desk to see if our room could be switched. We were put on hold & were told that all available rooms were booked and/or taken & we would have to suffice. We turned down the AC as low as we could in hopes of clearing the air. We walked to the nearest Target store to buy the strongest Febreeze aerosol to use to spray within the room. This went on for 2 days. In addition, we received no turn down service or fresh towels during our stay. We had no remote control for the TV. We called & advised the front desk twice. We were told they would bring one up & that never took place. The food was not too appetizing especially when customers are trying to eat with workers all around & in the areas painting while we consumed food. Lunch was to be catered in a meeting room, which could not happen due to all the furniture & stuff being stored in there for the cleaning. The luncheon was held in the lobby with the smell of suffocating paint. It was only until we knew that some of our guests were checking out early, that we were then able to change rooms to get out of the disgusting room we had been assigned. I know for a fact that the bride & her family were NOT at all happy with this hotel & its appearance as well as the guests that had to stay there from out of town. I WOULD NEVER again stay in this La Quinta establishment nor recommend it to anyone coming from out of town looking for a place to rest their head. No apologies were received by any, no discounts or accommodations made for the patrons that suffered. Not a good way to bring in new business. read more

We were on the 4th floor & it was quiet. The only negative is the beds were a little harder than I like, but not a big deal. I would not hesitate to stay here again when in Mansfield. read more

My family and I have stayed at the Mansfield location for as long as it has been built, 2 to 3 times a year. This time we stayed here while visiting my brother for Thanksgiving. In the past it has always been a nice place to stay, nice staff, no complaints. NOPE, NOT THIS TIME. We had 3 separate rooms. The rooms were not clean!!! Room 1- the refrigerator was not clean, 2 boiled eggs with a fork was left in there and the shelves were dirty, a dirty tissue was left on top of the microwave cabinet, the room door was filthy on both sides. It looked like coffee was thrown at it. And for some reason 2 key cards were jammed in the door hinge. Room 2- the microwave cabinet had a handprint smeared on the outside with what appeared to be jelly (GROSS), the refrigerator was not clean, the mirror was smudged in 2 places, dirty towel rolled up as if it were clean, there was a fingernail on the desk, the door of the room was dirty on both sides, something red was on the handle of the commode, what appeared to be mold was on the wall by the tub from maybe a serious leak, and the sink was cracked from one side to the other. Room 3 - trash and candy wrappers were on the seat of the desk chair. All of this was brought to the attention of the GM - Christie Byrd, after several attempts to contact her. I explained the situation to the person at the desk and left my number for her to call me, no matter the time. I contacted the desk 3 times each day of our stay and the staff kept informing me that she was away, that she would be checking in at 10:00 the first night, (I called the front desk at 10:26 pm Nov. 28) I was told she had not checked in with them, that she as spending time with her family the 2nd day, and the 3rd day, that her son had the flu so she would not be in. This was from the time we checked in on November 27th to the time we checked out on November 29th. I called at 10:00 pm, after arriving back home in Arkansas, and was told she was still not in. I called again Monday, Dec. 2 at 11:26 am, this time I was able to speak with her, she said she was aware of the situation and informed me that she was aware of the broken sink and there was nothing that she could do except speak to housekeeping. I went through the list of things of the 3 unclean rooms. She was not empathic at all, came across as unconcerned, that I was making a big to do about nothing, and that is was okay. I explained to her that I was not happy because I paid for clean rooms and I was not provided that. Her statement to me was "well there were other amenities that you could have used. I told her the only amenity that I wanted to use, was clean rooms. I also stated that using the elevated was even unavailable at times because of the number of dogs and we had a 4 year old who was afraid of THEM (more than 3 times). I also informed her that we witnessed a dog peeing in the hallway, and it was not cleaned up. This visit left me and my family very upset and if other places were not sold out we would have left, but instead we were stranded and had to endure the filth which was NEVER cleaned. We have not been compensated at all. So in conclusion, we paid to stay in dirty rooms!!!! UNACCEPTABLE!!! read more

This was our 2nd year staying here on New Years Eve. Love the hotel and the staff is very helpful. Rooms are clean, parking is easy and they take pets for no extra cost. We stayed in a King Suite which had a separate bedroom and a couch that folded into a bed. The bed was comfortable and the kids didn't complain about the couch/bed. Price is very reasonable and location is convenient. Will stay here again. read more

If you like ice cold showers, this is the place for you! For two days in a row, there was no hot water to shower in the morning. I can understand having that problem one day, but for it to have been fixed and then the same thing happen again, there's a problem. I needed to take a picture for my work and had to rush home to use my shower. I wanted to stay with my aunt who is visiting. The weather has been in the 60s so there is no reason for it to be because of the pipes freezing or whatever. Everything else has been fine. My aunt likes coming here when she visits and the staff are great. Not being able to shower for two days kind of kills the experience though. read more

As others have said, there are better hotels out there... but when traveling with a pet the options become limited. The walls (or possibly doors) are paper thin and make it hard to sleep when people are up hollering and banging around. The room itself was gorgeous. It had a king bed, refrigerator, and a nice, big sitting area. It didn't feel like the cleanest of accomodations, but I've also been to worse so I can't complain. Will I stay here again? Only if I need pet accomodations, otherwise I'll look for something better (possibly a Holiday Inn). read more

My family and I decided to stay at the LaQuinta Inn Mansfield Tx for the 4th of July holiday. My Nephew arrived and checked in at the hotel first and upon my arrival my Nephew was in the lobby getting another room assigned because there were bed bugs found in their room. Red flag #1. Being a LaQuinta Returns Member and faithful patron of this hotel chain I figured this may have been an isolated incident. My Nephew was placed in his second room (405) on the fourth floor so I requested a room near their room. I was assigned room #412. Entering the room, with a temperature of 97 degrees in the Texas shade, the a/c unit was on but the room was extremely hot. The family decided to go swimming and figured the room would cool off. NOT! Returned an hour or so later to the same hot room. My son needed a shower after swimming so I go to turn on the shower and there was a brown recluse spider in the bath tub! After killing the spider we both took showers. We laid our clothes to wear out on the bed before the shower and got dressed soon after. I did not feel comfortable at all in the room being that this was the first time I have ever experienced something like this at any of the MANY LaQuinta's I have frequented. We decided to check out of the hotel after being met with a non-chalant attitude from the supposed Asst Manager. There were only excuses made of maybe some guests brought bugs in. Even a mention that Terminix had just been out. Yeh right! There's NO excuse for bugs in any room regardless! Upon leaving the room I saw a patron returning to his room with two huge German Shepherds that had to weigh at least 100 lbs each . This is a pet friendly hotel so were we placed on the fourth floor where pets are?! Or is the hotel open to pets on all floors?! Either way this should never happen and I am convinced that there is indeed a bed bug and bugs from dogs problem at this hotel! Not to mention A/C problems! After leaving I noticed several red spots on mine and my sons body that began to itch and have since became larger and irritated, and my Nieces 3 month old baby has red marks on her as well!! Totally unacceptable and management did not offer anything for the inconvenience ; barely said I'm sorry!! Since I recommended this hotel I feel awful that my family and I hadto go through such an ugly ordeal and to make matters worse be made to feel that it was somehow no big deal; further exacerbating the situation. If I do not hear from LaQuinta Inn with a satisfactorily response I will tell EVERYBODY I know about my experience and be forced to give mine and my familys' money to Holiday Inn from here on out. read more

One of the worst hotels I have stayed at in terms of cleanliness. Immediately upon walking into our room, there was a strong scent of pet urine. Very strong. The inside of the closet door had a mysterious brown substance splattered on it & it, too, smelled bad. Our bathroom didn't have any kind of hand soap to wash our hands and the shower curtain was completely useless at keeping the water in the tub. The AC had an odor when it was turned on. Then the cleaning staff left their cleaning solution in the bathroom after cleaning our room. We chose the hotel because of its close proximity to a wedding venue we were attending but I surely wouldn't stay there again. Room #310 needs new carpet!!!!!! STAY FAR AWAY!!!!! (Basketball tourney in Mansfield) 1st room had no AC so they moved us to another room with no AC. They told me to unplug the unit, wait 10 mins and plug it in again. While doing so I found "stuff" on the side of my bed. It won't let me post pics, but it was semen all down the side of my bed! DISGUSTING and UNACCEPTABLE. While walking out I saw a bug crawl across the floor (not an ant). Went to front desk to show them the pic. Apparently there wasn't anything they could do about it. Uh, no. Manager was contacted and they "upgraded" us to a King with pull out sofa bed "free of charge". New room...flying roach at 5:00am and ants in the restroom. Went to a friend's room which apparently had ants in the bed!!! We left since there was now availability at the other hotels. Upon check out I find out that the "free upgrade" was not free. Had to contact the Manager once we got home to get credit for the accidental upgrade charge ONLY. No credit was offered for the first night. Staff was not concerned what-so-ever and stood out front smoking most of the time we were there. read more

Less than thrilled. Hotel is under complete remodel. Should have warned me about that on the website Orin my reservation information email. The entire lobby is gutted. Horrible location for families. While convenient to restaurants, the highway, and the Swim meet we are in town for, there is apparently a bar with loud, live music right next door. Makes it hard to sleep Not nasty, but found several long black hairs on the bathroom floor that are clearly not ours. And a styrofoam cup that has been removed from the wrapper but put back on the counter because apparently it appears clean. We won't be staying here again. read more

I had already called Wyndham which this a chain of and talked to them about needing to manually run my card. They said to book through their website and then my stay should be fine. First 2020 is bad enough. Second even cash is fixing to go extinct and now you want to tell me you don't even know how to manually run a card? The owners need to realize that their so called GM is worthless and running the business down. She took over ten minutes to come out of her little door behind the desk and that was just for me to give her the key cards. The only person keeping that place alive is Debbie that works at night. She is very sweet caring and knows how to do more than the GM. She worked with my sister and I on getting my room paid for and everything ran smoothly. She was so nice that I didn't want to complain that my bathtub leaked onto the carpet and the toilet ran no stop. Then I met the General Manager Christy and I understood why the rooms are falling apart and the ratings are so low. In all honesty I thought that Debbie was the GM because she is by far a better choice. In all my years working in customer service I know truly I will never go back or to any business that the woman running this establishment is in charge of. This hotel was DISGUSTING! As soon as you enter the hotel you smell what resembles the odor of an animal rescue pound. Come to find out, pets are allowed on the first floor! Yay pet allergies! Also, I was told breakfast was served in the lobby area. My immediate thought was how unacceptable it was to expect guests to eat in an environment that smelled like an unkept kennel. The first room I was placed in was on the second floor. Once I stepped off the elevator this overwhelming stench of urine followed me to my room. As I walk to my room I can't help but notice how NASTY the hallway carpet was! Does this hotel own a vacuum, I thought to myself? I get to my room and the odor followed. In my room was what (I hope to God) appeared to be splattered coffee on the wall, two beer bottle caps on the floor, drawing with sharpie on the window and inside the coat closet and the icing on the cake.... A cap to a syringe needle near the bed. Not to mention the guests next to me with their door propped open filled with screaming children running and jumping around the room. I called and reported the above and got placed into another room on the third floor. While this floor didn't immediately make me want to gag from the smell the hallway carpet was still filthy dirty and crummy. Whatever, I thought, let me get to my room. I enter my room and walked into a sauna and the room smelled like... A sweaty boys locker room. One of the queen beds was dilapidated and had a huge body sized hole in the middle of the mattress. I turned the AC down (thinking it would clear up the stale BO smell) as far as it could go and left for hours dreading my return to that hotel. I got back about 4 to 5 hours later and the smell was still there. Check out time!! 4 days left on my visit in Texas from California with nowhere else to go and I would've rather taken my chances on finding another hotel during the busy summer break season. And in case you're wondering, I was charged over $100 for the one night of torture I endured at this Mansfield location. This is by far the worst hotel experience I've had and it has left a bad taste in my mouth with this chain. My company uses this hotel regularly when sending our employees to training. I will be sharing my negative experience with our travel coordinator. read more

OK so I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last year or so when I am in town on business and its OK not 5 star but great. In the last month or so the wifi has been completely messed up. The usual hotel excuses - they are working on it, ATT will have it fixed by Friday - they have a crack team of whatever working 24x7 on it.. when in fact nobody was really. 3 weeks ago the wifi was slower than dial up (if you remember what that was). Now this week I am here and it does not work at all - its just dead. They are telling me the same thing - by Friday of this week it will be fixed and we will have fibre optic gigabit speed because ATT is sending in the crack squad of whatever. Fortunately I have a cellular card to bypass the idiot hotels and airports that try and charge for internet still... so I am on this at my expense. If they don't get this fixed soon for good I am not staying here again. It cant be going to be fixed in 2 weeks every 2 weeks... its gone from bad to completely malfunctioning - it cant get worse. Other than that not a bad hotel but if you need wifi check first to see if its fixed. The manager and everyone here have promised its going to be great in 2 weeks every 2 weeks.. so we will see. If they fix the internet problem it will be good again. We will see what happens this week or if its going to be great in 2 weeks. read more

Excellent stay. They have a big stone community table in the lobby that you can hook up to and get work done. Breakfast was satisfactory. Angelina was a great help in getting around the area and to the company I was visiting. read more

Not very happy with the customer service from this hotel. A block of rooms was booked for our family reunion. I called the day before my expected arrival and told the representative that I would coming in on a different day. There was a 4 night minimum and was okay with being charged the group room rate for the night I could not make it. When I arrived to the hotel my room was cancelled and I had been charged for the room. There was no notes or no accommodations were made for us. The manager was not on site and front desk person was not able to get in contact with her. Plus, I was traveling with a 8 month old baby and elderly mother and needed a room. We ended up staying at a different hotel. Of course, I still want my refund of $100.81. No one made an attempt to contact me. No one contacted our group leader. Only after I left and get charged do I find out that I had to go through some crazy loop hole to make sure my room was not cancelled. I have the phone records to prove that I called and I was on the phone with them for more than a couple minutes to make sure my room was not cancelled due to a no show. read more
