Just an FYI - they currently don't carry the yellow fever vaccination, but at least they answered the phone promptly!

I ultimately needed 17 stitches. What could have been a frightening and overwhelming experience instead became something I'll always remember for the compassion and professionalism shown to me. Every single person we encountered treated me with patience, kindness, and urgency. I never once felt like "just another patient." I felt cared for. PA Patel, who stitched my hand, was extraordinary. He was meticulous and deliberate in his work, but what stood out even more was how he treated me and my wife throughout the procedure. He explained everything as he went, answered our questions without hesitation, and maintained a calm, steady presence that gave us confidence and reassurance. You could tell he takes pride in doing things the right way -- not just clinically, but humanely. And Nurse Nick brought something just as important -- warmth and humanity. She was upbeat and genuinely kind, taking the time to connect with me as a person. That kind of personal care means almost as much as the medical expertise. We walked into the ER anxious and in distress. We left feeling grateful. To the team at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington: thank you for treating me not just effectively, but compassionately. Your professionalism and heart made all the difference.

Cons: no live wait time on website, registration staff who truly DGAF, dirty waiting area Wait time: 2.3 hours just to get into an exam room (I was balled up in a corner in pain and begged for a blanket because it was cold inside and 50 degrees outside. They triaged me, took blood and urine and had me remain in the waiting room. Once I actually got into an exam room, things started to move more quickly. Care: Dr. Sidara was actually the saving grace here. He was incredibly nice and thorough, spoke to me with respect and care, and worked to address my issues as soon as possible. He was even able to pull info from past doctors visits, which included a slight ear infection and double checked my ears while I was there to make sure he didn't miss anything further. I won't go into all of the details of what he discovered, but had he not caught one thing in particular, I might still be in excruciating pain. What I didn't like is the fact that I was in an exam room for maybe 30 minutes, then they took me to get a CT. And once I finished the CT, I was not taken back to the exam room, but taken to the "results waiting" room. There, my IV hung in front of me, without being connected, for about an hour. When all of my results were back, the doctor returned to me and told me all the findings and the plan moving forward. I do wish they would have kept me overnight so that I could continue to be monitored and receive pain management medication, but I understand that's not necessarily typical treatment for what I was experiencing. Shortly after the doctor checked in with me, my discharge papers were drafted, and I was on my way out. I was there from 3:50-9 p.m. ish.

My experience with OneMedical Rosslyn has been wonderful. The physical site is gorgeous, parking is nearby (not free though) and it's metro accessible. It's clean, the staff are friendly and professional and they have an in-house lab which saves a trip to Lab Corp. Additionally, they now offer mental health services which is a nice bonus. If you need a prescription called in to your local pharmacy, you can request via their app or website. If you have a non-urgent issue and need advice, you can message a nurse or doctor for help. If you have an urgent (non-emergency) issue, you can usually get an appointment relatively quickly; scheduling through the app is very easy. The user interface is easy to navigate. Also, the staff don't try to "upsell" you in any way or pressure you to get an unnecessary vaccine or test. In closing, I highly recommend OneMedical. It's worth the annual fee (which isn't that pricey IMHO). There are locations throughout the country - and the network of providers at every location is superb.

Highly recommend, when being infused, that you ensure it is done by an anesthesiologist (you can…read moreschedule this - I was unaware of this ) who I believe are more familiar with ketamine and anesthetics. I would NOT recommend being infused by a staff member who is emergency room doctor - at least the one I had twice. he did not adequately prepare me for what would be my first and second experience and as a result, it just increased my anxiety. I almost didn't go back after these. These experiences were a marked contrast to the staff anesthesiologists who I saw - all of who were excellent. The anesthesiologists provided good counseling before and after the infusion - not the ER doctor. Also, all the nurses I had were excellent. The office leaves a lot to be desired. The current Arlington MindPeace office rents 2 small offices from a chiropractic practice where the infusions occur - but the office is a chiropractor practice. For most of my infusions I could hear people talking in the hallway outside my door which was very disconcerting. Recommend that you ask for a back room, which is further away from the conversation hallway noise. Lastly, I was curious if any of the staff had ever had an infusion and asked each time each member of the team if they had experienced one. Not one of the staff had. In hindsight, I wish I would've explored other infusion centers in the area. Ultimately, I got what I paid for, but it could've been a better experience for a number of reasons listed above.

The team at MindPeace Clinics, led by esteemed ketamine infusion specialist Patrick Oliver, MD, welcomes patients at their offices in Richmond, Arlington, and Norfolk, Virginia. They also serve those in Washington D.C. They're well known as the most experienced ketamine providers in Virginia, and they have an exceptional overall success rate of 75% for all the conditions they treat. During ketamine infusion therapy, patients receive a low dose infused slowly over the course of one to four hours. As ketamine reaches the brain, it balances brain chemicals and interacts with pain pathways, giving patients rapid relief from their symptoms. Patients with mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, suicidal thoughts, and post-traumatic stress disorder can experience a significant improvement in their symptoms. Chronic pain syndromes such as fibromyalgia and complex regional pain syndrome respond well to ketamine infusion therapy, often giving patients their first substantial pain relief in years. Ketamine infusion therapy is one of the best treatment options for patients whose underlying mental or physical condition didn't respond to conventional medications...

Where should I start? Well let's start with when we signed up for KP and they said all my drugs…read morewere in their formulary and then once you sign up and are locked in for a year, that is when some Pharmacist calls you and tells you that several of the drugs you are on are "NOT" in their formulary and I should have gone to the some other book and on page 1872 it states that these three are not covered!! So one of these drugs was a blood thinner as I had a clot in my lower leg! Well after complaining constantly that I was not feeling right, and my feet were swelling up so bad I couldn't get a shoe on my foot!! Well this is when I decided to heck with this doc I am going to the ER!! Well Kaiser saved $8 on that blood thinner but then because I was developing blood clots, what they call Pulmonary embolism, then they had to do a Doppler imaging and 3 CT scans!! Oh and I had to go back on lovenox which is $1000 a shot!! When I was done with the 10 shots at two a day, I took back the five remaining needles and the pharmacy just threw them in the trash!! Then they put me back on my original blood thinner!! But that $8 savings took a bullet to the foot since the lovenox was very spendie!! Oh and I should add that all of this BS they never waived any copayments and I have had to pay them for the crappy thinner on their formulary that put me in this situation!! Kaiser sucks and I am stuck with these witless twits until January first! If you want to die by a thousand paper cuts then KP is the place! If you are an English speaking person you need several interpreters when you go because KP has a huge amount of non-English speaking help and when they say something to you and you do not understand them and say excuse me? They get upset with you because you do not speak whatever broken English they are trying to spew at you! This place is so worried about saving a few dollars that patient care suffers extremely! And then they wonder why people hate insurance companies!! If you have any choice, choose the other company because this place is horrible!! It is funny that they got bit so hard on the cost of that Lovenex!! It reminds me of an old saying; "Penny wise and pound (dollar) foolish! I should post some of the interactions between myself and one of the KP docs!! I would write this huge letter spelling out what was going on and her response to me was "Thank you for your concerns." What a piece of trash! Well I only have 7 months 14 days left of this hell! Insurance companies just turned a blind eye!! Shame on you Kaiser Permanente!
