Raving Review for Vista Medical Center - Crystal City Date…read moreof Visit: Friday, July 26, 2025 I visited Vista Medical Center last Friday in terrible hip pain, and I cannot say enough good things about the care I received. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with kindness and urgency. Nurse Dolly greeted me at the door and immediately helped. She was warm, welcoming, and got me checked in quickly, which meant everything at that moment. Nurse Practitioner Carol was caring, attentive, and truly knew her stuff. The treatment she gave me provided relief when I needed it most. Even though Ia couple of nights later went I was admitted into the hospital the doctors confirmed that Carol was absolutely right in her approach of care. The staff at Vista were all courteous, compassionate, and efficient. I have found my new urgent care. Thank you all for the excellent care.

Check-in upon arrival was easy and they have a few seats in a waiting area. Unfortunately, even though my appt was at 11:10, I wasn't seen until around noon. However, once I was seen, the doctor on duty listened, asked follow up questions, and ran tests (strep, Covid, flu). Appreciate they can run tests right in their office as well as submit prescriptions right to the pharmacy so by the time your appointment wraps up, your prescription is just about ready for you.

The check-in personnel, the technician taking vitals, the doctor, the technician drawing blood. Every single person I interacted with was professional, accommodating, friendly, supportive. The doctor took her time with me - a 30 min appt turned into 45. I know that is unusual. The technician drawing blood was incredibly professional and fun to talk with. I will see how things proceed with questions, results, billing, etc, but I only have accolades to say about this experience.

And in 2024/2025 the practice is emphasizing cancellation fees seemingly no matter what (what if there are road closures or your child gets sick within 24 hours of your appointment) and early arrival regardless of online check in or it's considered a cancellation. So far they haven't been too late, but they have been late now and then and that could be for a number of reasons. The point is that things come up for both doctors and patients, and some of that warrants flexibility, which their policy administration doesn't reflect. There's a chance for the group to set themselves apart from others and they're missing it. Not surprising for the current culture, but even more important because of it.

The automated message tells you which information you should leave on the message in order to get a call back. I had done this for at least two days. NO CALL BACKS. I located a new facility to do my CT scan for the next day. It was less expensive and easier to get the same questions actually answered. This place is not organized or managed very well. If you can't get the administrative issues fixed, I would be worried about everything else here.

We have CIGNA insurance, and MMT Ambulance in not "in network" with Inova in Virginia. Why Inova is using an ambulance service that is not "in network" for policy holders of a major insurance company in Virginia defies explanation. If we had known the price in advance, we would have made alternate arrangements.

It was a Friday at 5:30pm and they close 7pm. She let me walk in. They took X-rays but not weight bearing which I thought was weird. Everyone was super nice and knowledgeable. They referred me to a great doc and I got an appt Monday morning. Highly recommend if you are unfortunate enough to need these services.
