Sad. Just sad. They have signs on doors that prohibit any activity or presence in the mall which isn't transaction based- going to purchase items in stores, using the gym, dining in the restaurant etc- no mall walkers etc. The JCP, Sephora, bath and body works, planet fitness, Mexican eatery are about the only things going on. They have temporary locations for Sloan Museum and Flint Public Library while construction and renovations are underway for the downtown flint locations, and a few outside retailers, like a goodwill, staples and dollar city etc, but it's like tumble weeds inside. They didn't even really do any holiday decor. It's pitiful. Oh, it looks like the interior scene of an episode of the walking dead. The shame is this mall has the best locations of jcp, Sephora and bath and body works in the area (the others are not as nice). At least the mall has that going for it. The interior shops are mostly closed, a few fly by night temporary retail spots open and close randomly, the sushi place closed, most of the food court is gone, the movie theater just closed, there are no middle of the mall kiosks and most of the retailers with exterior entrances have blocked and closed their interior mall entrances. I'd hope this place could be renovated or something, but I don't know. I just go in the bath and body works and Sephora and jcp or staples if I want to purchase something and leave. Courtland Center - Shopping Centers Near Me - Burton, Michigan

Starting May 6, CC management will no longer allow MTA buses to stop in the mall. The closest bus stop will be the tire business next door. I use a walker and that's too far for me. If mgmt wanted to do away with people hanging out at the bus shelter, get rid of it añd and leave the stop. A lot of people go to goodwill, just to see what "treasure" they may find, knowing their purchases support a worthy cause. Plus there's a Planet Fitness, Bath and body works, JCPENNEY and other businesses. Not everyone drives any more, due to age, the huge expense of car ownership, or other reason. I will never again step foot in the mall, e ven if my life depended on it. read more

It's unfortunate to say, but this mall will most likely be out of business before you ever make it here. The only thing holding it together are the few anchor stores it has left: JCP, Dunhams, Magoos, which most of these you cannot even access from the inside of the mall. In between all of the dark, gated, empty establishments was finally a Bath & Body Works, and a Goodwill. If you're looking to go shopping, this is not your place. read more

It was very clean, but not much to offer shopping wise. It was nice to be able to go to dinner and before hand wear my toddler out by going for a walk (it was that empty). Planet Fitness gym Sloan Museum has an exhibit (closes at 5pm on Sunday). Cozumel Mexican restaurant JC Penny. A movie theater Bath and body works Dunham's (sporting goods) A Goodwill (strange, but huge). That's all I can really remember. A lot of empty stores. I am mostly curious how they stay open because there was no foot traffic and like I mentioned: numerous vacant properties with very limited tenants. read more

I love the Courtland center because it's not as busy as a big mall. It's quick and convienient to get in and out of OR you can take as much time as you like to browse thorughout the stores without being bothered by others. It has a movie theater, Planet Fitness, Hair store and salon, JCP, mexican restaurant, and lot of boutiques. I like the peace and quiet. :0 read more

It's great if you want to walk around the mall uninterrupted and get some fitness in. When it comes to stores, it's a tough go lately. The mall has so many unoccupied spaces, it's so sad. It used to be a cool mall back in the day. Now, it's got a nice Jcpenney and Sephora, Planet Fitness, an okay theatre with cheap ticket prices and concessions, a Bath and Body Works, a decent Mexican Tex-Mex restaurant and lots of open space, plus some strange fly by night businesses whose presence in the mall is usually short-lived at best. Maybe they should consider making this an outlet mall? read more

A very sad place nowadays. As a child, I remember when this place was absolutely bustling and every storefront was full. Now it's basically a ghost town. The businesses still hanging on are okay and it hosts a pretty okay Mexican restaurant, but it's basically a glorified walking path now. Lower your rent and get some shops in there again! read more
