First the negatives. Absolutely zero breakfast other than some very expensive pre-fab food at the bistro. The great part was the people. I had taken a fall a few days earlier and my knee wasn't working. They helped us get our luggage in and again getting it out. Stayed here once for three nights, the rooms seem to be newly remodeled decor wise but the bathroom feels dated. The bed was super comfy and the curtains truly blocked out the daylight and made a lazy, sleep in day possible. The downstairs bar makes a good espresso martini and the tomato soup and grilled cheese are wildly impressive. All of the staff that we encountered at the front desk and at the bar were extremely nice! I would recommend staying here. Only bummer is no pool or hot tub. read more

She was busy and handling guests and other projects! Here's my disappointments, no complimentary breakfast, and No coffee for guests!!?? Oh sure there was a vending machine available to order Starbucks if that's your jam. I feel like there is usually breakfast at a Marriott property, that's why we stay there. Restaurant booked out for months to the public so get used to spending your money at another hotel for dinner and drinks because they don't take care of their guests. there are no amenities, you don't have a microwave to heat anythin, nor does the lobby, but you can buy frozen food. make it make sense. there is a Starbucks, but not contracted to be open yet. don't expect the room to be tended to. I was there five days, sign off my door, not once did the room get serviced. seemed to be a normal thing as by day 3 the hallway had towels and trash cans set out. save your money and avoid this place read more

My first time and Boise and found this Courtyard to be in a great location for my work trips and for hitting some restaurants, so A+ on the location. Check-in was fine, but no consideration for status (which for me, all I'm really ever looking for is a bottle of water or two). Nov 21-22: Rooms facing the street are incredibly loud. Heater/Airco units sound like an 777 taking off next to you. Night of Nov 21: Was hosting some friends for a gift exchange. Lounge attendant disappeared after serving us once. Ten minutes later, stood at food counter directly across from front desk for ten minutes and nobody came out from back. Walked over to front desk, because front desk attendant (Jesse) didn't acknowledge me standing at the counter....a mere 20 feet away. I asked where lounge attendant was and he replied, "maybe on a break." Maybe or actually? Fifteen minutes later I'm back at the food counter standing for another five minutes (now a total of 35 minutes) and nobody. Back to front desk and asked how long lounge attendant would be on break. Jesse's reply, "Thirty minutes from the time you first came up here." So let's run through ALL the things wrong with that response. No let's not because you're all smart and reasonable people. How about we go through all the things he could have done from there besides the nothing he did; minus make that stupid remark? No let's not because you're all smart and reasonable people. Fifteen minutes later, and still sitting right in his view, he says or does nothing. We finally just left; after the now 55 minutes without food or drinks. Two stars = You get one star because the location is good. The pillows were nice so you get the second star for those. read more

We had a day off from traveling in Boise and had the best time at this hotel. Started off by working out in the gym. It was MASSIVE, clean and had everything you need. Went upstairs and showered. My room was clean, updated and cozy. Everything felt nice. We wound up walking to the whole foods down the street and make a charcuterie board and doing an impromptu wine tasting. There was 7 of us and decided to do it in the lobby/lounge. As we were setting up, Sean the manager walked up to me with napkins while I was setting up the charcuterie board. He then came by with plastic cups as I told him we were doing a wine tasting. Once we got into the the tasting and charcuterie, Sean brought us filtered water cups. He was going above and beyond in the most genuine way and it truly made our experience doing something out of the ordinary magical. Sean then went on and took out our trash multiple times and turned on the fire pit for us outside. It was truly, undoubtedly, a magical evening that I will never forget. We ordered fries from the bar and the people working behind there were just as kind, genuine and accommodating as Sean was. I commend this hotel for its incredible customer service, cleanliness and vibes. Don't hesitate to stay here. It's a must when in Boise. read more

I just stayed at Courtyard by Marriott on Broadway in Boise, ID and found the AC filters full of thick dust/possible and who knows what diseases! Hotels all over the world touted their innovative filtration systems and other cleaning methods to better protect the health of their patrons. This hotel is clean, *mostly friendly (see below) and conveniently close to a Whole Foods. We were greeted by the most friendly staff upon our arrival and people went out of their way to help us find a cart, which was very appreciated and made this hotel stand out from many I've stayed at! *On our way out, we were not treated nearly as kind, by one person who (I was surprised to learn) was a manager there. I was not wearing a mask bc I have a medical exemption. She told me "medical exemptions are not recognized here" and a lot more which I won't get in to here... ugh. Because she said my medical exemption not being recognized came down from corporate, I felt it was important to call the corporate office to start a claim. They confirmed that this was definitely NOT THEIR policy to all their hotels. Still, I am only dropping one star because the rest of the people I interacted with were so VERY KIND AND so VERY LOVELY. I think the manager simply needed a bit more training (and maybe not watch the news so much?!!) to understand what the legally allowable exemptions (medical being one of them) are. Ultimately it was the saddest and most traumatic departure experience of any place I've ever stayed and I have traveled a ton. read more

Great location, but very disappointing. I am a titanium member with Marriott. I hate when they play on words at each location. We checked in on Sunday, through Thursday. We were told they clean every other day. On Tuesday they dropped clean towels off, left the wet ones and that was it. When I inquired I was told it was a refresh! I think when you pay a few hundred dollars a night to sleep in a room they could, do a little more. Probably will not go back! read more

We came back late from enjoying our day in Boise with some to go food from chipotle hoping to be able to eat by the fire. When we got to the hotel it was unbelievable the kind man named Sean from behind the desk ran over to us and said "is there anything I can get you forks napkins etc? "I will go turn the fire on for you right now!" Then proceeds to make our dinner the most extravagant amazing dinner by the fire we have ever had. Just because of his kind heart and service and ability to go above and beyond in the hospitality industry really meant the entire world to us and was nothing he did but show he cared about his hotel and his customers regardless of the hour or circumstances. When we were done eating he came over to us and asked us if we were done eating our chipotle "like wow" and starts to take all of our trash and then asks my girlfriend if she would like a to go bag and brings us mints. I ask him why are you treating us like this? He said " it's more important to be nice than nice to be important. I hope you enjoy your stay and I wish you all the best. Wow In the world we live in today feeling like a total drag asking for anything extra or even a question when your paying, except we didn't pay Sean a single thing, he just wanted our stay to be as memorable and enjoyable as possible. Phenomenal staff at a great facility. This Courtyard is a spitting image of another one I visited last year. Everything is very clean and sleek - the gym is huge and spacious, mobile pass key works really well, and the in-shower products are top notch. The staff really made the difference from the first moment of check-in, to the helpful restaurant recommendations, to helping me figure out cutlery so that I can actually consume my grocery shopped goods. Great teamwork to make this an iconic lodging space in the downtown area. read more

While it is not in downtown, it is a cheap lyft/uber away from downtown. The place is really nice with both indoor/outdoor fireplace. There is a coffee and alcohol bar. The indoor pool is pretty nice and kept clean. The rooms are average square foot and very modern. I found the beds to be quite comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They offer a complimentary ride to the airport as well. I found the hotel to be very calming. It appreciate that it was a quiet and cool hotel. I think it's the best bang for your buck. Nice lobby with very friendly staff but very cookie cutter for this hotel chain, every single Lobby looks identical to those in other cities. My room was adequate in size with nice furnishings and a roll out writing desk and a medium sized flat screen TV. The writing desk could have used more adequate lighting. There was a small coffee maker and a refrigerator and the room. The bed was comfortable as where the pillows. There are Outlets on the sides of the bed but very small surface area on the side tables. Nice size bathroom fantastic shower with bulk supplied shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Very good water pressure. Nice location next to several restaurants and close to downtown. read more

This hotel is not really downtown in my opinion. It is a solid mile to where most of the more desirable restaurants/nightlife, so the name is sort of deceptive. That being said, this is a nicely renovated Courtyard near everything in Downtown Boise. There are a bunch of grocery stores and businesses in the area, but it is not too walkable. This hotel is located in what felt like a suburb just outside of the city. The staff was friendly from the moment I walked in. They got me checked in quickly and were quick to recommend dinner options. Since it was late at night I ended up eating at the Chick-Fil-A in the adjacent parking lot. My room was comfortable and clean. It was pretty quiet and I got a good nights sleep. The coffee at the Starbucks was pretty good too. This hotel is usually a good rate, so if you don't mind taking an Uber to get anywhere fun then this is your place! read more

Good location relative to everything Boise 2.) Easy to get to and from, located fairly close to the airport (15 minutes), and an easy access parking lot 3.) Good staff, everyone was friendly and helpful 4.) FREE internet with good reception, I took my computer from my room to the gym and it maintained connection, would have bet against that! 5.) OK gym: it's small but has the essential cardio requirements: bike, treadmills (no free weights) 6.) Clean room and amenities with OK cable package 7.) Food options: both on premises, and walking distance within the same parking lot 8.) OK price: a little high in my opinion at around $200/night Overall I enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to stay here again, not a lot of frills, but a solid lodging option with all the basics. Location is not very nice. In the cold, you don't want to walk for 15 minutes to find a nice decent place to eat, so we walked about 2 blocks to a Blimpie Restaurant. We could have eaten @ Carl's Jr, about a block away,but who wants to eat @ a restaurant where they're busy doing some tiling done! They didn't even have hot soups or hot cocoa. We walked to a convenient store for that so we have something hot to drink on our way back to our hotel. They have a table to plug in our free internet, but if we want our room heated, the fan is blowing right on our face! It's just inches away from the heater fan. Wrong location to put the heater/AC. There's no fridge to store our leftover ribs, but what I did was store them inside a bucket of ice wrapped in foil & plastic bag. I hope the ribs aren't spoiled by morning. The pluses: The room is cozy & clean. The lights are bright enough for hand-sewing & reading. There is no smell of mildew or what have you. We have the view of the courtyard. It reminds me of your neighborhood Travel Lodge, except they're friendlier and the fruits sweet & fresh, our Idaho fries just as I like them, the ribs were very tasty & tender. We could smell our ribs being heated while sitting by the fire! This is what you'd expect Marriott quality! read more

We are Marriott Gold and always feel well loved. However we were shocked at the Boise Downtown Courtyard when we arrived in the lobby to see 20 adults and children sitting and talking - no food - WITH NO MASKS; this despite signs posted everywhere recommending masks. I mentioned this to the receptionist and she just shrugged her shoulders. I realize that staff members probably feel awkward enforcing mask usage, but this is where the manager must take charge. I've been staying here for the last month on business and I am very happy with the level of service and quality of this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the lobby and rooms are clean and updated. The bistro in the lobby has a limited selection, but they come out with some surprisingly tasty food from that limited kitchen. Great for grabbing some late night snacks or a quick dinner. The location is ok - within walking distance of downtown. It would be nice if they provided a shuttle like some other hotels in the area, but then again the Courtyard has a better nightly rate so a cab ride ($7 downtown) isn't bad either. The location is about to get even better with a Whole Foods opening up across the street soon as well. My only criticism would be its tiny workout room (2 treadmills, an elliptical, and a stationary bike). I wish they would have gotten rid of the pool (which I've never seen anybody use) and created a larger gym instead. read more

First of all... the young lady, Izzy, was absolutely wonderful during the booking and check in process. She was so extremely kind, understanding and helpful. Had it not been for her i wouldn't have chose this place for my stay. Absolutely wonderful customer service! On the other hand, the lady that was working the night shift... a nightmare. How someone like this could work in the hospitality industry is beyond me. She left me feeling like i almost needed to get up in the middle of the night and check out. She was extremely rude and disrespectful. Apparently humiliating a guest as much as possible was her way of feeling validated. As if me standing in the hallway in the middle of the night while she reprimanded me wasn't enough... she made Sure to let me know that my "crying"wasn't going to help. All because I was in the shower with the radio on in the room. She never called up by phone or came asking me nicely to turn it down. Instead she came pounding on the door insisting that I come out. I was letting her know that I was in the shower and that I needed to get clothes on before I could come out. Instead of her waiting for me to get dressed and open the door she continued to pound on the door the whole time I was getting dressed (2 minutes Max). mind you the radio had been off at that point for quite awhile. I can't out of the room and She was being so loud that guests across the way were opening the doors looking out at me standing in the hallway crying in my pajamas. It didn't matter how much I apologized... she wouldn't let up. Anyways... I'm not sure I'd ever stay there again! I appreciate Izzy for being so wonderful... the other girl could definitely use some work on her kindness and compassion.... Nice hotel too. Very unfortunate! read more

Friendly service despite arriving at midnight and the gentleman checking us in told us we can do late checkout at 4 pm if we want to. We must have looked really tired after 9 hours of driving through winter conditions. Room was comfortable and in a good location. Poor Corporate Relations & a General Manager who ignores her guests! I may consider staying elsewhere while in town in the future on business because of their lack of concern for satisfying their regular corporate guests that have the potential of generating a lot of revenue for the Hotel. This is not the only hotel we have corporate rates with & I'm sure they'd appreciate the corporate spending much more than this Courtyard property. Andrea Cox, the General Manager, didn't even bother to return my call from the other night. We could have earned the hotel an additional 2 nights of revenue which instead they choose to eat in the hopes of gouging a potential last minute guest because the town is booked full due to a youth soccer event. We tried talking to both the front desk staff on multiple occasions & I even left a detailed message on Andrea's voicemail. The lack of even a return call is completely unprofessional and down right rude. We have a lot of people stay here on business travel & this week one of our people got stuck having to book & stay @ the Cabana Inn which isn't a safe place to stay for her; let's just say she felt unsafe & unprotected enough to have actually not unpacked because of the fear of theft or worse. I'll bet that my review won't even get a response as they have poor public relations here. read more

More room updates! They have shifted the gym around, still anh equipment. 320 - far from the front door, facing courtyard 223 - far from the front door, facing the road. Connec 312 - faces courtyard, king bed, bathroom door doesn't stay open (I fold a wash cloth to keep it open) so it smells musty and is obviously creepy to walk in and see it closed! Cleanliness is slipping. Pretty sure the room wasn't vacuumed during my stay. A crouton I dropped from my dinner was left on the small table, next to the glasses they replaced. The soap box I hadn't noticed, that bounced out of that back of the trash can was still there and a pen that ended up on the floor was still there as well. 223 again! They fixed the bathroom door, but room smells musty. 340 - far side of hotel, faces into the courtyard. Wall control for heat/cool. Park in the back 357 - right next to microwave and ice room. Old school air conditioner/heater. As of this trip the room updates are starting to be complete! 414 - first time in the new upgrade! Beds are super tall, faces the courtyard, clock is off by 10 min, fridge is by tv now, no longer in the closet, Ron and tons of plugs and a USB port in the night stand!built in place to put your bag or stuff. Tiny mini fridge, no microwave, pathetic gym. And here's what really makes them suck, There is a burst pipe or something that has flooded half of the rooms on my floor, did they mention it? No... Nothing... It smells like mold and urine and nobody thought to say anything. ALso I just paid 2.65 for a soda! I've never complained about a motel before, but this place sucks balls. If I was paying for this room, and I was not so lazy I'd complain and find someplace worth a crap. I'm shocked to see so many positive reviews, but it's idaho so.... Yeah.... read more

I had a wonderful time at the Courtyard by Marriott. Top-notch hotel experience with lots of room in hotels. The lobby was very inviting, and had a great selection of food. The best part of this hotel is the location. Whole Foods right across the street, walking distance to downtown Boise, and Boise State downtown. Nice rooms, with high beds. LOVELY. Nice room design. In room fridge. (Always appreciated). In room coffee maker, which majority of hotels have.. but the coffee is ICK and nothing you've ever heard of. Who is in charge of choosing the coffee brand? Definitely not a drinker of coffee. I do like this hotel, because of the location and Beds. I love going across the street to Whole Foods and hanging out there, getting work done on my laptop and enjoying a healthy meal, and maybe a glass of wine. What I do not love, is the Fitness Center... A BIKE, ELLIPTICAL MACHINE AND A COUPLE TREADMILLS. If you love your fitness training and are used to hotels with something besides cardio equipment, this is not the hotel for you. There are free weights, (I think up to 50 lbs?} but that is IT for strength training. No strength training machines, etc, Pulley Machine, etc... Cardio and free weights, is it. Nice staff.. simple, lovely lobby. Just not great if you are a coffee snob or fitness freak. read more

I was pleasantly surprised! The lobby has a very modern feel, lots of places to sit, and a wonderful fireplace to relax by. All the people I talked to were extremely nice and helpful! Lobby also has a cute little market/STARBUCKS! And also a bar. We ordered drinks and sat by the fireplace and it was very nice! To my surprise there is also a HUGE fire pit outside to sit by. We ended our night with more drinks and taking them outside. It was very relaxing there is a little stream out there as well. Very relaxing! If you stay here definitely take the time to go out into the courtyard. We had a king room, it was great, it over looked Bronco Stadium (GO BIG BLUE!) and we could hear the marching band practicing Saturday morning. The room was just fine for me. I especially love when the sink/vanity/mirror are OUTSIDE of the shower. (no steamy mirrors while I am trying to get ready!) King bed was super comfy - I slept great! It was a nice walk to downtown for dinner, and a really awesome short walk to the stadium saturday morning for the game. Plus you can leave your vehicle there after you check out so you don't have to find parking for the game! BONUS! :) Anyways - we would def. stay here again if we were going to go to a game. P.S. if you don't want house keeping to knock (and knock and knock and knock) put up the do not disturb because they come at 8:30 am! Gah! Nice hotel. It's very updated, and has this interactive "Go" board in the lobby that one can use to look up local attractions or food recommendations. The room was a bit on the small size - the King Bed DOMINATED the room. Though it felt a bit cramped, we had enough room. The room was by the elevator, but we didn't hear anything from it. Which, in my experience, is a rarity that is to be treasured. read more
