This is a review for Majories Room. Making a reservation is easily done online. It books up so I recommend doing it in advance. When you show up, a lady met us at the door and showed us around. It is a beautiful property and this room had its only driveway. The room is very well kept. All the needs you would like. I did wish the TV was a little bigger but all in all its great. A beautiful, quaint home tucked in to the hillsides of Boise. The innkeeper, Marylee was wonderful, waiting up for us after our travel took us longer than expected. This location has 3 suites - ours was the Joann suite. Inside was a beautiful room complete with kitchenette and private bathroom (shower only). The room was equipped with access to Roku (including Netflix, Hulu, and much more), complimentary coffee, microwave, mini fridge, and a full set of dining ware for 2. The bed was comfortable and the room itself had a delightful country home feel. I really loved the personalization and details put into this suite! My husband surprised me with a Tuesday night stay-cation and chose Boise Hillside Suites. We had a wonderful time! Located near the Boise foothills, close to downtown restaurants and several breakfast options (as they no longer serve breakfast at BHS). Hot tub was very relaxing and in the morning it was nice to start the fireplace and spend some time relaxing on the couch with coffee and Netflix. Only reason I knocked a star was for the terrible pillow. I woke around 2:30am with a very stiff neck and could not get comfortable. My husband had the same experience and half way thru the night he slept on the decorative pillow instead. The bed was fabulous, but next time I visit I'll bring my own pillow :) read more

Awesome! Stayed in Marjorie's Library for a night and was impressed! Pros: Too many! Private hot tub, fireplace, supremely comfy bed, decent sized bathroom, kitchenette, coffee, tv, private drive-way, cleanliness, and quiet. Cons: The water in the bathroom was very sulfery smelling. Everything was very well kept and clean. The location was very peaceful and quiet, making it seem like you are on vacation in another state. This is the perfect spot for relaxing and getting away for a day or two. Definitely will be returning! read more

I've never been so impressed with a B&B as Boise Hillside Suites (BHS). This wonderful young couple puts their heart & soul into every detail of what their guests would desire. They more than meet expectations, they far exceed!!! For them to be this good after just a month in operation means it will be difficult to find them available in the near future as word gets out! First, because it is just a 3 suite property, it provides the feeling of being secluded. The grounds are perfectly manicured: with big trees, shady lawn & flowers that provides a cottage feeling. Being at the end of a dead end road, off of a secondary street, you are in a world of your own. Second, the accommodations (we saw 2 of the 3) are what you wish your room at home would be. Tasteful decor that's not too country or stuffy, have puffy comforter, fireplace, flowers in the room, IPod compatible clock radio, Roku TV, refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker .... I could go on & on. Believe me, they've thought of everything. Third, the breakfasts are AMAZING! The way they do them is fabulous with a picnic-type basket waiting at your door at a preset time. Inside the basket is literally breath-taking. I took pictures & hopefully have them posted with this review. I use to inspect hotels as part of my job so I tend to be on the critical side (1 of those people who rarely gives a perfect score) but if I could, I'd give BHS 10 stars. STAY HERE!!!!!!! This place is wonderful! We stayed in John's Study, the views were great, the owners were very kind and the room itself was to die for. The bed was comfortable, a little soft, but nice linens. The bathroom and shower were well up-kept. The faux fire place was a a nice touch. There was a balcony off of the suite where the sun would shine and we sat out side with out complimentary coffee and ate croissants. It is right by town and the BEST PART ARE THE VIEWS!!!!!! There are huge bay windows right next to the bed high up so others can't see in but you get a beautiful view of the Owyhee mountains. We stayed here over valentine's day and both have agreed that we couldn't of picked a better place. read more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for an early Valentine's "staycation" over the weekend. We booked "Marjorie's Library" for the night and I was pretty excited to have a private hot tub! I was worried about finding the house, but it was very easy after seeing a picture of it. Definitely one of a kind! Marylee was outside when we arrived, and knew who I was right away. She directed us up to the driveway for our suite and met us there to show us around. The suite is extra large, with more than enough room for the two of us. The bed was a little firm, but still comfortable (I loved the bedspread!) and the kitchenette was extremely helpful. It was awesome to have a microwave, mini fridge, full size sink, filtered water, coffee maker, and all the kitchen utensils you could think of! The television was the perfect size, but I was disappointed not to see HBO as an option, even though it's advertised on the website. (We have all the other streaming options at home, so we were both looking forward to using HBO... Bummer.) The TV rotated enough to watch from the bed, but was tough to see from the couch. The couch was super comfortable, though! The bathroom area got pretty cold, which wasn't fun in the morning. It's small, but does the trick. Loved the fixtures and finishes in it! I was expecting the hot tub to be in the room, but realized I misread the website. It was in a private room, but it was a little off-putting to have to go outside to get to it. They do supply robes, which was a nice touch. Maybe it was just me, but the chlorine levels seemed too high. After 20 or 30 minutes, my eyes and nose were burning - which hung around all night. The other downside to the hot tub was the glass see-through doors. I'm sure they're nice in the summer/daytime, but they ended up leaving us spooked because it was dark outside. There is a large patio with nice furniture, I wish it would have been warm enough to use it! The biggest disappointment was the breakfast, or lack thereof. Boise Hillside Suites is advertised as a Bed & Breakfast, but that is no longer the case. There were wonderful reviews of the breakfast (conveniently served in baskets) on Yelp, but when I booked the room I had to check a box acknowledging that they no longer serve breakfast. Major bummer! I asked Marylee about it, and she said the city told them they didn't have the right permits to serve food. I wish I could unmark this hotel as a Bed & Breakfast -- because it's not! Overall, it was a nice stay. The spacious room, kitchen area, and comfortable bed made up for the lack of breakfast, chlorine-heavy hot tub, and basement feel of the room. Not sure I'd spend the money to stay there again myself, but I would recommend it to the right person. read more

WARNING - SCAM - READ!!! We booked here for September 7th through the 10th. We had email and text communication. On the day of check in, I was texting Ashley with our expected time of arrival throughout the day so that staff could prepare. At 7:45pm, I text her an update as we were experiencing car problems and just wanted her to leave the key under the mat or text me a code. Ashley got back to me and apologized profusely that she had not contacted me sooner as one of their staff members tested positive for Covid so all reservations had been cancelled days prior to our arrival. Because she realized she hadn't contacted me specifically, she was kind enough to find us another hotel as we were not from the area and Venmo'd me our first night's stay to compensate us for the trouble and would refund our stay for their place. Ashley kept true to her word on the hotel and the Venmo but I have yet to receive a refund for our stay that never took place which totals $501.54. I have emailed, text and left messages. I gave her to today before I took to social media. Today I did some research and the LLC that owns the property filed to dissolve/inactivate the LLC on September 4th which means she knew on the 7th that their LLC was done and I wasn't getting a refund. Avoid any properties owned by William Dean Long, Green Falls, LLC or Hillside Suites if and when they reopen under another name. I'm going to be seeking legal action in small claims for my $500+! This means when they took my deposit on August 27th they knew they were dissolving their LLC as it was only a week that passed and when the charged my card on September 7th prior to my conversation with Ashley that staff had Covid, they had already dissolved their LLC. Total SCAM! And on a Karma note - who uses COVID as a lie to take money from people?!? read more

This place was fantastic! My husband and I stayed here on the drive home from our wedding, and it was wonderful. The owner was lovely, helpful, and when she heard we had just gotten married, she gave us a bottle of sparkling wine! So sweet. The room was cozy and luxurious, and just what we were hoping for. And may I tell you about the breakfast??? I absolutely love that it was delivered in a basket to our door. I'm a big fan of B & B's, but not always thrilled with being forced to socialize with strangers at breakfast. Breakfast in a picnic basket allowed us to eat breakfast in bed, which was great. It was incredibly tasty, and a great way to start the day. Overall, a wonderful experience. Whenever we go through Boise, you can bet we'll stay here! read more

We absolutely loved this place. We stayed in the deluxe queen suite (Mallory's I think). "Check-in" was more of a quick walk through showing us the room, the fireplace controls, and the private hot tub. (It was already hot!). She made sure we had her cell phone number and she left us to enjoy our time there. It was exactly as described on their website, but also, I loved the little "extras": the glasses and silverware in the kitchenette, the deck of cards, the body wash and shampoo pumps in the shower, special makeup wash cloths and the thickness of the robes. It's obvious she goes to a lot of trouble to ensure people have a good experience. If I ever have a reason to visit Boise again, that is the hotel I would stay in. read more

There is only word for me which sums up this off the beaten path B&B... Excellence. From the lovely smell in the rooms to the inroom steamer/iron they have thought of it all. I stayed in two of the three rooms they have to offer and they were both lovely. The linens were crisp and fresh, the beds... oh man the beds were like sleeping in a cloud. Dangerous for me as I was on a business trip. Everything I could have wanted was there, a microwave, refrigerator, hot chocolate, tea, coffee, and cold bottled water. When I walked into my rooms I felt as if I was coming home it was so cozy. The sitting areas in each of my rooms were just perfectly situated, great use of space and it there was a nice space for my evening work. The grounds were immaculate. So many trees and flowers to walk around and look at. Just a short walk up the road you can see all of the Boise valley. Owners were superb very thorough and helpful. Last but not least breakfast.... absolutely amazing. I have stayed in many B&B's and this breakfast was bar the best. At a preset time a little knock presents itself at your door and when you open it there is the most precious picnic basket there. Inside the basket is a decadent breakfast awaiting you underneath and red and white checkered towel. SOO CUTE and SOO GOOD!!! I was there for four days and every day breakfast was succulent. It was nice to be able to eat breakfast and get ready at the same time instead of having to leave and go have breakfast with strangers. I had to move to another B&B during my stay here because this place was booked and I didnt eat breakfast once. I guess I may be spoiled now with the way Boise Hillside Suites serves their food. All in all best B&B experience I have had and I plan to tell everyone I know about it who lives here or will be visiting. The prices are awesome... the property romantic and secluded, and the breakfast out of this world. Can't wait to come back. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! read more

Very nice place to stay while in the Boise area. The room was very modern and very clean. It was well stocked with many things you need while on vacation. Price was very reasonable for what you get. The views from our room were the best. The only reasons I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that the TV was very hard to figure out unless maybe if your a millennial, and thought there should have been a small TV in the living area instead of the bedroom. Not sure this place should be on the B&B site since they do not serve breakfast, I thought it would be no big deal staying here knowing they did not serve breakfast, but after experiencing it first hand I missed the interaction or lack of that you have with the owners and other guest of a typical B&B during the breakfast each morning. The owner met us in the driveway when we arrived which was very nice, we talked for about 5 minutes to get the low down of the place but never saw her again, I know some folks may like that set up. Overall great place, but more like a hotel as far as interaction with owner. read more
