I came here for a conference that was held in the banquet room. I don't believe that the Marriott provided the food so I can't comment on their catering. There is a coffee shop in the hotel that sells Starbucks coffee and food. There is plenty of free parking and the hotel is. Close to I95

The Marriot brand takes a big hit from places such as this. An old Holiday Inn with severely dated rooms this dump should be totally renovated or knocked down. The difference from a modern Marriot property such as on 6th Ave in Delray and this is startling. After complaining about the uncleanliness of the room and showing the manager pictures I was offered another room or a reclean which I opted for. Not going to check out and start looking for a new place now and the location is really great so I will suck it up and make do. On the plus side there is a Starbucks in the lobby, a decent workout room and a really nice pool area with hot tub. There's a Buffalo Wild Wings and a Brus Room for sports and wings etc to the south within 100 yards and to the north is a plaza with 5 places to eat. On Congress between Gateway and Boynton Beach Blvd there are probably 20 places to eat and drink and lots of stores. The mall is super close by too. The great location is worth 1 star. Unfortunately it takes a complaint to make things right. Judging by the hit or miss reviews the person after me will probably say its nice n clean. LOL. Management here is putting out fires. Running around responding to room complaints. If you opt to stay here do a little room cleanliness inspection first. My pictures tell the the story.

Our room door lock was broken- couldn't close to the door so we went to the front desk and asked them to send someone to fix it or if we can change rooms. We were told they would send someone. Not sure if they did or not, but when we came back from dinner it was still broken. We could get it closed if we played with it for a bit. The bathroom was absolutely filthy so I took photos of it. Only one small trash can next to the table (not even in the bathroom). One elevator broken and the other was about to break. We decided to take the stairs after hearing scary noises in the only one elevator that was working. It's run down. Our room didn't get cleaned although we saw a cleaning lady hanging out talking to a friend in one of the guest rooms. The hallway smelled like marijuana. The pool towels were toddler-size. Starbucks was only open in the morning. Parking is shared with Buffalo Wild Wings and kla school. Jacuzzi was excellent, pool was ok on the small size. What's shame because it really is in a Great location close to great restaurants.

This place isn't bad .. 4 star cause the towels and beds linens are not great but other than that it's fine . There is plenty of places to eat around here that are a 1 min walk . McDonald, bw3 , Cuban , Brazilian , Vietnamese. There's even boba tea ... what more do you want ? Shopping also walking distance , kohls , cvs , big lots .. there's even a barber shop in the strip . Looks dope too , there was a group of them playing cards outside it . the parking lot in this hotel is huge and connected to all the other shops , it's in like a strip mall . The pool area is very nice . Grounds are clean . I wish I would have brought my rollerblades, this parking lot would have been perfect . Plenty of space away from cars to do that . You can bring your dog . I've seen a few on the property . I love that . This area seems pretty safe and the locals are friendly. Is it as nice as some of the other Marriott's ? No, but you can bring your dog . Don't let the negative reviews deter you from staying here , it's not bad . For the price , you are a short drive to the beach and you can have your furry friend with you .. I'd say it's a win

I am very disappointed with this Marriott location, furthermore, the operations manager, Alex and the general manager Patrick. Not only are they rude and very unprofessional, they are inconsiderate and lack compassion for the disabled, which I am and they were made very aware of that. I had stayed for about a month with no issues then I filed a formal complaint due to their unprofessionalism and they took it personally. At which point they made my stay very difficult for a week thereafter and had me forcibly removed by law enforcement even though I paid for additional days. They said, along with law enforcement, they would reimburse me the funds which they did not. I therefore had to go to my bank and dispute the charges. I asked multiple times why I was being told to leave, and they refused to give me an answer. They are poorly trained and need to be retrained in customer service. I am extremely disappointed as I had also filed a few complaints to the above management with Marriott and have had no phone calls nor emails to address this horrible and stressful experience I had.

The location itself is a short walk away from Ocean Inlet Beach Park, which has a path that leads directly to the beach. A few minutes north is the parking lot for the Boynton Inlet Pier. Parking was relatively easy, with the main lot nestled behind the property, facing the inter-coastal (and the multi-million dollar homes we definitely cannot afford). The building itself is old, so if anyone who wants to visit is physically impaired, it is best to stick to the first floor, as the second floor can only be accessed via concrete stairs. The weather was perfect for swimming, but due to red tide lingering around the coast, we decided not to swim on the beach. Instead, we utilized the swimming pool. A perfect size for a nice swim, but if multiple people are sharing it, it is best not to create too many wakes. Surrounded by palm trees, flowers, and other plants which add to an old Florida aesthetic. The miniature water fountains scattered throughout add to the aesthetic of attempting to have Florida resemble a tropical paradise. With the property being compact within a limited amount of space, it provides a cozy atmosphere, making the property feel smaller, and therefore, more 'home-like'. Behind the pool is a large wooden open-air pavilion, allowing guests a place to hide from the sun and to socialize if they so choose. Surrounding the pool were large beach chairs and beach umbrella, which we promptly used after our swim. There was a grill, but we did not get to use it. Our hotel room was located at the front-left corner of the property, facing the highway and swimming pool. We kept our privacy thanks to each window having both roller blinds and blackout blinds. The room was clean and had plenty of space, feeling more like a well-furnished apartment split into different sections. It included a comfortable king-size bed, an accessible patio with a wide living room, an actual kitchen with a refrigerator stocked with bottled water (at no additional charge), and a clean bathroom with a unique glass paneled sink. In the kitchen was a binder, which could be used by guests as a guide to check out the best local areas in Palm Beach County. If this facility offered guests to rent for a monthly rate, I would not be shocked if some took up on the offer. The cherry on top of this experience was having a positive encounter with the incredibly helpful staff. They helped us check into our rooms once it was ready, stocked the refrigerator, recommended local restaurants, helping us learn how the lock system worked for the room, and they even went as far assisting with finding my missing ring (a separate story for another time). I want to give this place the full five stars, but there was one issue that I couldn't overlook. Whenever on the patio, there was a sulfuric odor that lingered in the area. At first, I thought it was natural gas or propane, but the grill was on the other side, and no odor was found in the area. I do not have any proof, but my guess is that the odor stemmed from the old water pipes connected to the outside pool shower. The same odor could be smelled once water ran through our personal shower drain. We did not feel we were at risk for our health, but the unpleasant scent was noticeable. This can be fixed by replacing the old water pipes with new ones. Considering the age of the property, I understand that it would probably take some time to implement, but I believe it would do the property some good. Overall, we were incredibly happy for the pleasant experience, and would highly recommend Sun Dek Beach House if you ever need a local stay-cation by the beach. A bit pricey, but considering the rates at other neighboring locations, and the limited time we had, this was a great destination.

I am beyond disappointed with my recent stay. I have been staying at this hotel for over 10 years…read moreand have visited more than a dozen times. Until now, I have never had a single complaint. This was the first time I have ever felt unwelcome, uncomfortable, and honestly appalled by the way I was treated. Throughout my stay, I was repeatedly questioned by staff about what room I was in and asked to show my room key over and over again. It happened while I was trying to enjoy breakfast, while I was having coffee with my mom in the lobby, and even while I was relaxing at the pool. Having staff approach me during a swim to ask what room I was staying in was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. What made the experience even worse was how my family was treated. I travel to Boynton Beach twice a year to visit my mother, who lives locally. She was not trying to stay at the hotel--she was simply meeting me before we went out for the day. As she walked into the lobby, she was immediately interrogated by the front desk and asked what room she was in. When she explained she wasn't a guest but was there to meet me, she was told she couldn't even be in the lobby because she didn't have a room. Later, during my brother's wedding weekend, my mother, niece, and nephew were also questioned as though they weren't allowed to wait for me in the lobby or come up to my room during the daytime, despite the fact that I was a registered guest paying for that room. I initially tried to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt. I thought perhaps there had been security issues that required staff to be more vigilant. However, when I spoke with the general manager, he told me there had been no such issues. What truly turned an incredibly disappointing stay into one I will never forget was my conversation with the General Manager, Deon Weathers. Rather than listening to my concerns or trying to understand what happened, he flat-out told me there was "no way" his staff would have treated me that way and essentially accused me of lying. After more than a decade of loyalty and nothing but positive experiences, to have my honesty questioned was insulting and deeply unprofessional. I wasn't looking to get anyone in trouble. I shared my experience because I genuinely hoped the hotel would look into what happened and improve the way guests are treated. Good management starts with listening, taking concerns seriously, and being willing to investigate--not immediately dismissing a loyal guest's experience because it's inconvenient to believe. After more than 10 years of staying here, I never imagined I would be looking for another hotel when I come to visit my mom. But that's exactly what I'll be doing. It's heartbreaking because this hotel had always been my first choice. The repeated questioning, the treatment of my family, and especially being told that my experience "never happened" were simply unacceptable. I hope management eventually recognizes that accountability and respectful customer service matter just as much as a nice property. Unfortunately, this experience has permanently changed my opinion of a hotel I once enjoyed recommending.

Before arrival, I was never informed that my room would be located on the second floor with stair-only access & no elevator assistance. Traveling with a service animal while displaced due to active home renovations, repeatedly carrying luggage up and down steep stairs alone was physically exhausting. Accessibility limitations should be disclosed upfront. Despite displaying a clearly visible "Do Not Disturb" sign, housekeeping disturbed &/or attempted to enter my room at approximately 9:00AM on multiple occasions. Being repeatedly awakened after specifically requesting privacy is unacceptable, especially for a property marketing itself as boutique luxury. The most concerning part of my stay was the treatment I received from the front desk employee, Ryan. Nearly every interaction felt hostile, combative, & entirely lacking in professionalism or hospitality. After initially booking one night, I extended my stay due to delays with my home renovations. Immediately after booking, I received a phone call aggressively informing me that I still had to check out at noon & could not check back in until 4:00PM. This occurred multiple times throughout my stay despite online inventory consistently showing available rooms of the SAME ROOM TYPE the night before & during the day I rebooked. There appeared to be no legitimate operational reason to repeatedly force a paying guest to vacate for hours while managing luggage, stairs, & a service animal. The repeated forced check-outs & room changes felt unnecessarily rigid & punitive. At one point I genuinely felt less like a guest & more like they were doing me a favor. I normally don't pay to stay somewhere that feels like a prison. The handling of my service animal was equally inappropriate. During one of the early morning housekeeping disturbances, my service dog barked after being startled awake. Within approximately 30 seconds, I received a phone call demanding that I "register my dog." I explained that it was a service animal, which I had already disclosed during check-in. Instead of acknowledging that, I was interrupted and asked, "You mean an emotional support animal?" I again clarified that it was a service animal. The interaction felt dismissive, uninformed, and inappropriate given the hospitality industry's basic obligations regarding service animals. On my final reservation, housekeeping again attempted to enter my room around 9:00AM despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign remaining posted. When I addressed it with the office, I was falsely told that I had supposedly informed staff I would be checking out at 6:00 AM. What I had actually explained was that I preferred a first-floor room because repeatedly carrying luggage down stairs alone at 6:00AM was difficult. Cleanliness was also a major issue. I stayed in three different rooms, and every room had visibly dirty floors. My socks became dirty simply from walking around the rooms. More concerning, the AC vents appeared covered with black buildup and heavy dust, raising serious concerns about cleanliness, maintenance, & indoor air quality. Regretfully, I gave the property another chance & booked an additional two-night reservation because my roof renovation was still unfinished. Almost immediately after booking, I received another disruptive phone call informing me I would again have to fully check out, change rooms, and wait until 4:00 PM to re-check in. After days of repeated disruptions, room changes, & hostile interactions, I requested that the reservation be canceled. I was initially told "no." Only after escalating my frustration vocally did staff suddenly agree to contact Expedia & process the refund. What makes the experience more disappointing is that the gentleman who originally checked me in was genuinely pleasant & professional along with the housekeeping manager. Unfortunately, every interaction afterward became increasingly adversarial. This property failed in accessibility transparency, privacy, professionalism, cleanliness, flexibility, and customer service. The repeated room transfer demands, mishandling of a service animal situation, visibly dirty conditions, apparent mold buildup around vents, & hostile front desk interactions made the entire stay exhausting & stressful. This establishment does not deserve the title of "boutique luxury." I strongly caution travelers, especially those with accessibility needs, respiratory sensitivities, or service animals, to stay elsewhere. HOTEL'S RESPONSE TAKES NO ACCOUNTABILITY, DISREGARDS THE REAL ISSUES & MAKES EXCUSES.

Thankfully she muttered to herself and wandered off. When a girl came out, some oldhead interrupted my transaction, saying his keycard didn't work and I'm thinking did you not see she was helping me out? Girl did apologize for him but she shouldn't have been the one to do so. At this point, it's the guests here that seem to lack manners, and so far have been a little backwards. However, this girl was very helpful, and was able to answer any questions I had. Room was on the top 4th floor, and the wood flooring outside the elevator was really loud, even in my sneakers as I tried to be quiet. I was also given a little gift bag with a bottle of water, and a couple of snacks that I didn't get to eat, but this was nice. There was a little 'store' area behind the desk where I saw snacks and beverages available for purchase. Room was obviously dark since it was so late, but I had no idea where the lights were since the first light only lit the small entryway. I had to get my phone out to see two bedside lights, one overhead lamp on the chaise, and one desk lamp. Lighting in hotel/room is very flourescent if that makes sense; nothing warm or relaxing. Strangely, the desk lamp was the best lighting. There was a mini-fridge and microwave up front. I had to go back downstairs to get toothpaste, and this was a different girl, but she was just as great as the first. I remember she had on a turquoise beanie hat. I wish I would have gotten their names. Shower water pressure wasn't very strong, there was a lot of green calcium/hard water deposit on the shower head, and there was a slight unpleasant smell that I tried to ignore. The Dove products however were fine. Desk area was comfortable, I spent a lot of time here eating/getting stuff done and was glad that the lighting for that area was the best. TV worked just fine. Bed was actually quite comfortable, I wasn't sure what to expect but this made for a good sleep. I missed the daily free breakfast both mornings I was there since I had to be up early for other things, but this was probably a nice touch. I didn't use the gym/pool at all. One of the best things about this place was the free parking. As expected, front spots were hard to come by, but the parking does go all the way around, and there is a back door to access the hotel with your keycard. I also felt this was a very safe area; you're across from a retirement community so I can't imagine too much trouble going on there. If you need a place to basically sleep and shower, this place gets the job done.
