I am beyond disappointed with my recent stay. I have been staying at this hotel for over 10 years and have visited more than a dozen times. Until now, I have never had a single complaint. This was the first time I have ever felt unwelcome, uncomfortable, and honestly appalled by the way I was treated. Throughout my stay, I was repeatedly questioned by staff about what room I was in and asked to show my room key over and over again. It happened while I was trying to enjoy breakfast, while I was having coffee with my mom in the lobby, and even while I was relaxing at the pool. Having staff approach me during a swim to ask what room I was staying in was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. What made the experience even worse was how my family was treated. I travel to Boynton Beach twice a year to visit my mother, who lives locally. She was not trying to stay at the hotel--she was simply meeting me before we went out for the day. As she walked into the lobby, she was immediately interrogated by the front desk and asked what room she was in. When she explained she wasn't a guest but was there to meet me, she was told she couldn't even be in the lobby because she didn't have a room. Later, during my brother's wedding weekend, my mother, niece, and nephew were also questioned as though they weren't allowed to wait for me in the lobby or come up to my room during the daytime, despite the fact that I was a registered guest paying for that room. I initially tried to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt. I thought perhaps there had been security issues that required staff to be more vigilant. However, when I spoke with the general manager, he told me there had been no such issues. What truly turned an incredibly disappointing stay into one I will never forget was my conversation with the General Manager, Deon Weathers. Rather than listening to my concerns or trying to understand what happened, he flat-out told me there was "no way" his staff would have treated me that way and essentially accused me of lying. After more than a decade of loyalty and nothing but positive experiences, to have my honesty questioned was insulting and deeply unprofessional. I wasn't looking to get anyone in trouble. I shared my experience because I genuinely hoped the hotel would look into what happened and improve the way guests are treated. Good management starts with listening, taking concerns seriously, and being willing to investigate--not immediately dismissing a loyal guest's experience because it's inconvenient to believe. After more than 10 years of staying here, I never imagined I would be looking for another hotel when I come to visit my mom. But that's exactly what I'll be doing. It's heartbreaking because this hotel had always been my first choice. The repeated questioning, the treatment of my family, and especially being told that my experience "never happened" were simply unacceptable. I hope management eventually recognizes that accountability and respectful customer service matter just as much as a nice property. Unfortunately, this experience has permanently changed my opinion of a hotel I once enjoyed recommending. read more

Beware! of the "No-Show" Fees - ? scam I made an on-line reservation and then changed it - or so I thought. Somehow the original reservation remained in their system. I was charged almost $200 and never stayed there. They didn't even have to change the sheets! Supposedly the manager will call me to straighten this out! Fat chance! My advice: If you have to change a reservation, CANCEL it and make a new one. Don't trust their system to modify it. Better yet, why give your business to this type of customer service? read more

Currently, the property is under renovations. Due to this, there's a lot of movement going on with individuals to move to a different floor of the newly renovated floors. Currently I'm on the 4th floor the color patterns are so bright and lively and a wonderful choice, the renovation staff has been moving along exponentially in a professional manner. All the staff here at the town place, sweets and wonderful and accommodating with the patrons moving to different rooms, they tried to make this as easily as possible for everyone involved, truly appreciate what the owners are doing with their color patterns brightening up livening up. I returned to this hotel 5-13 June 2021since my last stay was so positive. We stayed in a two bedrooms suite with two bathrooms; a must when traveling with teens. I wasn't sure what to expect with covid restrictions. As always the front desk staffs were superb. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the housekeeping staff. On the second night there, I came down with a stomach virus the left me vomiting all night. I cleaned up after myself and double wrapped the garbage. A day later, feeling better I requested housekeeping services to replace the lines and removed the trash. They came to fix the bed, but the trash remained. I had to put the trash in the hallway to finally have it hauled. With covid, I expected cleaning to be a top priority. Outside of the housekeeping, the hotel met my expectations. read more

This is an older hotel. Decor is 80's, very beige. We stayed in a studio, it was cramped for 3 people. We were able to switch to a 2 bedroom, 2 bath for the 2nd night and though the decor is the same, we had so much more room. Sheets are clean and the bed is made well. In Short, Maybe I would come back. Depends on the price. read more

Front desk attendant was friendly and efficient when we checked in around 4pm. The room looked very nice and clean when we entered. Initially I was only going to take off one star for the shower, but discovered an issue with the bed once I came out of the bathroom. The temperature of the shower didn't get very warm at all. I had it turned to the hottest setting and it was lukewarm at best. The fact that it is an "open" type shower without a closing door made the issue worse as the cold air was entering the space. Now my problem with the bed was there was someone's hair all over it. As I pulled the covers back I saw them everywhere. On the pillows, underneath and inbetween them, all over the covers. Disgusting. At this time it was around 3:30am. Called the front desk and was informed the only thing he could do was change our room or give us new sheets, which we would have to come get since he was the only staff present. He offered no apology or anything. My bf went to get the sheets, we began making the bed and saw they were queen size and not king, he had to go back down, this time we got the king size sheets. We did not receive another quilt so we had to grab the blanket from the closet. Which guess what...hair on that as well!!! Sigh. So here we are under a thin sheet because it's the only thing without hair. This is extremely disturbing as it's obvious the cleaning crew neglected to change these sheets!!! Covid is still floating around and these people don't even bother to change the sheets!? This is unacceptable. I informed the front desk upon checking out and still no apology or attempt to rectify the situation. We were told because we paid the reservation in advance there was nothing they could do. Also, the manager was notified of the situation (according to the front desk staff) and the manager made not attempts to contact us. It's days later and still no word from this establishment. I wanted to give them a fair chance to redeem themselves before leaving this review, but at this point oh well. It would have been a 3star review, but due to the nonchalance with handling this situation I have to drop it to 2stars. If I ever come here again I know not to pay in advance and I know to check EVERYTHING too to bottom IMMEDIATELY upon entering the room. read more

As an ambassador elite with Bonvoy, I spend a lot of time at Marriott properties and this one is amongst the best for the type of hotel. The employees were all very courteous, from the check-in staff to the custodial staff. The free breakfast had the typical standard fare (e.g., eggs, self-made waffles, oatmeal, etc) but it was all very fresh and they had a few additional options, like the passion guava juice and a dee-lish chorizo patty, which another guest and I were raving over. The building seems like it's brand new, so everything was in great working sharp, modern, and clean. Though I didn't try the fitness gym, it was a nice spacious spot too. Goes without saying that I would definitely stay here again. read more

I recently stayed at this location for a 5 day visit with my family. Here are the pros: Good location in Boynton- right across from LA Fitness and a Starbucks, tons of restaurants and shopping nearby off Congress. It's pretty new!! The building is in fantastic shape. The lobby is clean and modern. The breakfast was good but not a lot of variety- the egg and protein were both repeated during our 5 day stay. The all day coffee in the lobby is really good. The suite itself was great. Modern and clean with plenty of ports for your devices. Nice kitchens and the showers are great. The only mildly irritating issue is the metal drain in the shower- it's dinging sound is irritating after a while. I used the fitness room twice- it was clean and had what you would expect in a hotel fitness room. Cons: The in room coffee is terrible. I know this seems petty, but when you are trying to adjust to the time difference and want to roll out of bed and rest, having a decent cup of coffee is mandatory. This stuff is not drinkable AT ALL. Getting dressed and hauling cups of coffee every morning was annoying!! Tvs have just a few channels - there wasn't any kids programming besides Cartoon Network which really isn't very young child friendly. Aside from those two things, this hotel met our needs. Parking was fine and housekeeping was superb. They even did our dishes !! Definitely our new go to when visiting Boynton Beach from now on. read more

As soon as I got to my room I saw several roaches and after killing around 20 of them in a hour I complained to the front desk for a 2nd time so they gave us a new room after implying we brought the roaches with us which was very insulting! The roaches were not only in the kitchen but in the bathrooms,carpets and climbing the walls. It was insulting to be treated the way we were. The manager was Shay I believe who was rude. So we switched rooms and then our 2nd room's air wasn't working! We are in Florida with no air?! We didn't want to switch rooms again so I asked for a fan which they provided. I think we were more than patient and fair. The maintenance man was helpful and nice but the staff is unfriendly and rude. Too bad because this is a nice hotel and I expected better. read more

For reference, I stayed at this hotel for the past 45 days in a 1 bedroom suite due to work in the Greenacres area. During my stay, my room was vacuumed once. ONCE and it was the day prior to check out. The cleaning of my room was the worst and was very sloppy. At one point, my room had not been cleaned in over 3 days and smelled horrible, and when I called the front desk, the customer service was just as great as the cleaning. The woman who answered dryly asked if I had my do not disturb sign up and I said no, then she hung up on me. The shower and sinks were not routinely wiped down during my stay, until the day prior to check out. I walked into the room in the last day and was hit with the strong smell of bleach. During my stay, I had to run the shower for 10 mins + prior to use to allow time for the water to heat up, because even on the hottest temperature setting, the water was lukewarm. The lights in the bedroom did not work even with the room key in the slot (room is set up in a way where certain lights work when the room key is inserted in a slot in the wall for energy efficiency purposes). I would not stay here again, even if it was for free. read more

I am truly disappointed and disturb by the lack of professionalism when it came to the customer service at this establishment. Upon my arrival I spoke to the front desk representative named Miles who was utterly disrespectful and discarded my needs as a Gold tier member at the Marriott Bonvoy facilities. Approximately at 4:22pm eastern time on February 3, 2024, I approached Miles to check me into my suite/room; I was repeatedly ignored and disrespected because I was not allowed to use a different payment method for my stay. I provided Miles proof of identification that it matched up with my credit/debit card. As Miles stated that I "CANNOT and WILL NOT" be able to use my preferred payment method; I proceeded to ask for a supervisor. In utterly shock Miles stepped away from me and I quote " I will not get a supervisor for you" and assisted another client that was behind me. I am truly disappointed because not did your employee blatantly disrespect me in front of my guest , but the treatment I received as being a loyal Marriott member is truly unacceptable and inappropriate. I hope this review will reach out to the appropriate team and staff personnel at hand so this "behavior and unprofessionalism" will not happen to any other loyal clients of the Marriott Bonvoy. read more

We are very unhappy with the deceptive practices here. "pet friendly" means they CHARGE $100.00 for one night small neat doggie. At the last moment of check--in they present a document that looks like they are taking a security deposit on the pet, but it' non refundable period. Not minus damages or cleaning fees or a few extra dollars for cleaning, it's a frank flat $100.00 fee presented slickly and unfairly as something else and it's a rip off. The large stairwell door near 2BR suites SLAMS SHUT with each use sounding like a gun shot shaking the whole building; all night long, and they know it's a problem..."nothing we can do" - stop using it as an entry point! No sleep for our $377.00 one night stay. Stay away! read more

Stayed one night. The hotel appears clean but the room had wall stains around the bathroom door frame and the fridge was not emptied after last guest. The woman at the front desk was borderline rude. This has to be the best kept secret in Boynton Beach as far as hotels are concerned. It's new, modern and updated. The rooms are large, clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was contemporary with a large shower. All the the staff and PJ and Mercedes were friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed the lobby, gym and pool which saw small, but had nice lounge chairs and a fire pit. The location is close to everything!! 10 minutes to the beach, shopping and good restaurants (Lemon Grass and Village Tavern) across the street. I usually stay at 5 Star hotel and this I have to say ranks up there! Thank you for a wonderful hotel experience. I would stay here again. read more

This hotel lacks professionalism, customer service, and above all, it is unsafe! There is no surveillance at this location, and as a result, my car and 14 others were broken into. Manager Shay Hence was dishonest and said this Never happens, but Boynton Beach Police Department said this happens EVERY OTHER WEEK! Despite this, I stayed. When I tried to re-book with Front Desk Receptionist Mercedes, she told me that they were 100% booked for the Holiday Weekend and would have to leave within the next hour. I told her that would be impossible for me to do, and she transferred me to Ms. Hence who didn't even wait for me to explain and escalated the situation and threatened to call the police and abruptly hung up! I was shocked at the treatment that I've just received and after spending over $5000 on a hotel extended stay! After packing, my husband went to speak with the Manager, and it wasn't until then did she realize who she was rude to and begged us to stay, saying that they could make arrangements, but the damage was already done. I am a prominent business owner in the local community who knows exactly what hospitality and customer service should look like, which wasn't what I received. Shay has no regard for her guests' wellbeing and safety and is a danger to the community. If I could give them a zero, I would! read more

This was a serious gamble for us, but our "usual" hotel gave me a bad experience last visit, so needed to go elsewhere. This hotel was FANTASTIC. Enjoyed this hotel very much but have given it a one star rating because of a frustrating billing issue. The hotel has billed me twice for a 6 day stay, once at the beginning of my stay, almost $1500 (the correct amount fro the stay) at the beginning of my stay and then again another almost $1500 at the end of my stay. The receipt they mailed me only showed the final charge amount and I didn't check my credit card charges until I got home or I would have disputed it there. I have made frequent calls to the hotel since 3/6, left messages for manager Jenelle, been told to wait 7 days just in case bank was behind, have been told that Jenelle was out sick with a fever and no one else in the hotel was capable of helping me. After insisting that there must be someone who could help, the front desk clerk said there was a general manager, Mark, but he was new! Upon my insistence Mark called me back, was initially unhelpful, stating it was 3pm on a Friday and he didn't want to deal with the bank! I told him the bank had said he only had to issue a refund and he said he would go out and have the clerk do it. No apology, though. Today is Tuesday, no refund yet to be seen. My bank is now disputing the original charge but that may take up to 90 days to resolve. So I would advice anyone staying at TownPlace Suites Boynton Beach to be very careful about the bill before you leave. read more

Do not stay here. Do not give your credit card to this hotel. They will make unauthorized charges and never admit to any wrongdoing. We left a cc with the front desk. Another in our party changed the card 2 days later. The hotel "removed" our cc from the account. Lo & behold, we were charged over $435 because the other cc didn't go through!!! Our cc was (or should have been!!) removed! No one returns calls. I left the general manage Glenn Dunlap 2 messages without a return call. This is terrible on their behalf. Obviously they know they had no authority to charge our cc. Now we are stuck with a $435 charge. Makes me sick. read more

We only stayed here two nights, but I wish every hotel we stayed at was this nice. Had our pooch with us. Everyone at the hotel, from cleaning staff to front desk, was incredibly friendly and helpful. AND the rooms were very, very clean, which goes a long long way in my book. My only quarrel would be with the breakfast sausage patties, which were swimming in liquid and ash-grey. (Quite dreadful looking.) However, there were plenty of other foods, including some very nice oatmeal. A short walk or very short drive gets you to several large mall areas, Florida-style - separate stores, nice store fronts. Starbucks, Cuban food (not great, but pretty good), Thai/Japanese (just okay), loads and loads of choices. I thought the $100 fee for the dog was exorbitant, though. As much as I understand that some dogs shouldn't be in hotel rooms, it's still quite a lot for one or two nights. However, can't really quibble about that - the housekeeping staff loved our mutt, and there were plenty of hugs and strokes for her! Recommend this place. read more

Pet friendly is advertised right on their page! Which is awesome because I travel with my emotional support dog. As a curtesy I advised the clerk that he was with me when we checked in. He gave us a sigh and said he would have to change our room. He then asked for documentation, which was not a problem I carry it with me everywhere I go. He then asked me why he was a service dog and what my problem was. I was very taken back by such a question but answered it anyways. The lady next to him then said we don't consider him a service dog for that! You are going to need to pay the charge for the dog. I said okay what's the charge. She responded $100.00 a night. That is absolutely absurd as the rom we had just paid for was $104.00. Will never go to another place like this. The staff was rude and acted as though they couldn't be bothered and were unhelpful when we asked for recommendations on other pet friendly hotels in the area. Very disappointed! read more
