Stayed here for one night and was impressed with how amazing this hotel is for being an airport hotel! The Pool - Wow, I was so impressed with this pool and hot tub. The pool is huge and gets a lot of sun. The area is really nice and would be a great place to stay for a few days. The Room - Rooms were nice and come with two water bottles and two free coffee packets - Room was clean and comes with 2 wipes to clean germs Airport Shuttle - When you land in Cancun you will have to call the hotel to have them pick you up from the hotel. They will ask for your name and tell you where to meet them once you exit the airport. They have a big bus that can fit 11 people, but we did have to wait for 45 minutes. The Food There is a restaurant on the property right by where you check in which has indoor and outdoor seating. Dinner - Dinner was great, we had tacos outside with great service. Breakfast - Breakfast was included and was delicious. They have eggs, fruit and croissants. My favorite was the Mexican coffee.

Looks good right? Don't judge the book by it's cover

Stayed here for the night and at first I thought this is good will be able to sleep good tonight before a very long day tomorrow. The room was clean, the bathroom is large and the water pressure is just the way I like it. I ordered room service since I was a bit hungry but I don't want anything heavy so I ordered there bbq wings--- disappointed. It was 6 little pieces with old welted carrots, so that was a waste of money. When I finally laid in bed I thought hmmm this seems to be stiff it's almost as if I'm laying on a lobby sofa. The pillows were also soggy, it looks fluffy yet when you placed your head you just sunk. I can't possibly have a big, heavy head. Woke up in the morning with housekeepers banging things, laughing, talking in the hallway now that really just infuriates me. I hate being woken up with noise especially before my alarm wakes me. I tried to ignore but it kept getting louder and louder so I got out of bed and I opened the door and told them to lower it down -- that helped. I was able to sleep for another hour even though the bed was hard and pillows are just horrible. Needless to say this stay was not good at all. I'll probably pick a different place next time. Thank goodness I'm only staying here for one night.

Very pleasantly surprised by this airport Marriott. Some standouts include the helpful bellhop and large pool area and beautiful grounds. Upon arrival, the bellhop was extremely helpful with our bags and made sure we were comfortable. We had a lot of luggage so we appreciated his help. The pool was a highlight of our stay - it was clean, well-maintained, and a great place to relax and unwind. The hot tub was HUGE and not overly hot. Our room was also very clean and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The only downside was that the check-in process was a bit slow, but it wasn't a major issue for us. We were also Marriott Platinum members, but didn't get an upgrade, which was a bit of bummer but we also didn't ask so not a huge deal. It's nice though when they're proactive about that :) Overall, our stay was as expected, and we were very happy with the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities were great, and the room was clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Stayed one night in between flights and enjoyed my stay here. Checkin was easy. I did utilize the shuttle service which you have to call the hotel for: due to road construction it could be 30-35 mins to pickup and then the 2.8km journey becomes around 20-30 mins for detour. To checkout the hotel shuttle is every half an hour on the dot so make sure you are downstairs 15 minutes ahead of the hour or half hour to catch it on time. NOTE: elevator does not seem to work due to construction which presents major accessibility challenges. Request ground floor if stair access does not work for you. Suite upgrade for Marriott bonvoy was very nice and spacious. Plenty of room for family or to spread out. Appreciated room service after a long flight too. A simple call takes care of it. Overall a good choice for quick layovers or airport stays!

First, I appreciate the airport pickup, it is very convenient and easy to find outside the airport. The staff is very friendly, and it seems genuine. The lobby is very modern, and clean. There is a bar and plenty of seating to just lounge around with your drink or food. I booked my room through Hotels.com and made an error in my booking. While checking in this error was easily resolved. We were only here for a night before moving onto our resort stay, but I am pleased with our accommodations. The restaurant inside is moderately priced for dinner and drinks. The food is good, it just lacked Mexican seasoning. The best thing I ate were the shrimp tacos. The drinks were good, and they didn't skimp on the alcohol. The beds are very comfortable and the shower was great! There is water in your room...please do not drink water from the sink, you will get sick. The only reason I have not given this Marriott 5 stars is because of the smell upstairs and the tattered carpet on our floor. They seriously need to replace the carpet for something that doesn't shed. That carpet was all over my shoes...we even had some in our shower before using it, because it was on the shoes of housekeeping. Also, there weren't fitted sheets on the beds, just flats. All in all it was a good night and I'd book again if I'm in need of a hotel in that area of Cancun.

Aesthetically pleasing hotel! Loved the pool & hammocks. The room was super relaxing and my mood changed as soon as I walked into the room. I can tell the recently updated and it's really nice. We had dinner at the hotel bistro. The food was just okay and the margarita tasted watered down. Overall good customer service and I had great sleep!

Took a pic in the mirror of the spacious closet which had an extra blanket and pillow in case you have a guest!

Stayed here a few nights with my boyfriend. The hotel was very clean and modern. I got a delicious frozen margarita from the front bar. There is a restaurant in the hotel that is open until 10 p.m. The food was okay. However the restaurant staff was accommodating with a little push, and I appreciate it. I want to shout out John at the front desk. He was kind and made sure our needs were met. We hung out at the pool and in the jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was cold and needed a light cleaning. Our room was cozy and I liked the layout. It was perfect for two people. There were ample body mirrors which I really like. I have no complaints about the room. On our last day there, work was being done on the elevator so we had to take the stairs. The free airport shuttle is a lifesaver but the driver is serious about his tip! We would stay here again if we ever go back to Cancun.

It's been over a week since my stay at this Marriott location. My family and I had planned a trip to stay at a resort in Cancun but our flight wasn't going to land until the afternoon so we didn't see the point of paying over $200 when we could just pay a quarter of that at the Marriott of one night. As soon as we landed in Cancun we called the hotel to ensure the complimentary shuttle bus was going to be there once we got out to the parking lot, then we called again when we were getting our luggage. The location where they told us to wait was so confusing to find. A huge hassle! Luckily we found some other people where were looking for the exact same bus as us. The had us waiting for 20 minutes saying the driver is on his way. We see the bus drive right passed as if he was avoiding us. Other taxis I was talking to agreed with us saying they hotel employees seem to not care if they pick up guests or not as they're getting paid regardless. So basically had to call the hotel again asking where the shuttle was and they said they're on their way, when I mentioned we saw the bus drive right passed us she tried to defend the driver saying it wasn't the correct bus... yet us had the name on the hotel on the side. At that point we all just waited for over 45mins.

Great margaritas. The rooms feel and look like a dorm room. Tile floor, minimal and cheap furniture, poor lighting, and the room overlooks a parking lot filled with old air-conditioning units and furniture. The hotel is very close to the airport. The hotel has a shuttle. The check-in and check-out process can be slow. Free breakfast beginning at 6:00.

    Flora H.

Convenient to the airport, the shuttle runs every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour and is only a few minutes away. But other than before a flight, I'm not sure the airport that I would stay here. The rooms aren't cheap (for Mexico, but maybe for Cancun) and they are very basic/dated, but have everything that you need. My room was FREEZING and never quite warmed up even though I turned the air off as soon as I got there. I ordered room service which came fairly quickly (quesadilla - okay) but there was some confusion because I couldn't pay for it on the room so they came back 15 minutes later to get a credit card payment from me. Only a couple English channels on TV. Utilitarian hotel that serves its purpose.

Sometimes all inclusive hotels can feel gimmicky, like being on a cruise ship or something. This was not that at all. This was a high end experience from start to finish. The hotel service and facilities are impeccable. I was blown away by the care they take to tend to each guest. I was only there for a few days and people took the effort to learn my name and my personal preferences. To start, the room was incredible. I stayed in a suite and it had a juccuzi right inside the room and an ocean view with a hammock. The room also came with a mini bar which was restocked daily (although you could also call and request anything at any time). Every day they had a different schedule of activities for guests with quality entertainment (not tacky acts). They had all all white party with a circus one day which was fun, a foam party, bull riding and more. The food deserves its own review. It exceed my expectations by a lot. They had several food options to choose from, including an Asian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a mexican restaurant a cafe and a global buffet. The restaurants were all open extended hours until 10 or 10:30 so there were always food options available. The global buffet did different themed dinners every night. Of the restaurants, I liked all but I'd say the Mediterranean was the most high quality. The preparation and taste was on par with any top NYC restaurant. The octopus dish was especially memorable. Second favorite was probably the Mexican restaurant. They have a chef from Oaxaca who makes a great mole. At each restaurant, the managers always made an effort to stop by my table to make sure I had what I needed. The employees genuinely care about serving you and they do it gladly. Sometimes you go to places where the employees are disgruntled or have a bad attitude. Not the case here at all. Everyone seemed generally happy and in a good mood. It felt like most of the people here were celebrating something, whether a bachelorette party or birthday, but it didn't feel overall raucous or anything. They had a silent disco one night and I think that also helped with any potential late night noise issues. I was really impressed with how well curated the schedule of activities was. Additionally, the hotel was very clean. When I first got in, people were mopping. They're constantly changing pool towels that are left out. Everything was spotless. The sheets were crisp and white. My room was changed to my liking. No complaints. One of the better places I've stayed. I would definitely come back in a heart beat. I loved it here!

However, what truly struck us both this time was the incredibly warm treatment we received. A hotel is only as great as its staff, and the team here is what makes it special. We booked a club-level oceanfront room, which included butler service. Our butler, Arturo, absolutely came through for us. He handled our restaurant and cabana reservations ahead of time and was instrumental in securing a late check-out on our final day. The dining at this all-inclusive is superb. For breakfast, Siete offers a decent buffet, and our waiter, Helvert, was incredibly kind and always took the time to chat with us. For dinner, DB was our top choice for elegant continental dining, complete with a live pianist. The manager, Susana, provided excellent service, the food was delicious, and the chef even came out to greet us. We also loved Hidden Gardens, a relaxed Asian-fusion spot with tasty food, impeccable service, and another welcome visit from the chef. During the sweltering day, the pool is the main draw. Lalo was always helpful in securing our requested cabana. They cost an extra $115 each time, but they are completely worth it to escape the intense sun. Our pool waitress, Marysol, befriended us and knew exactly what non-alcoholic drinks to bring us. My wife is a big coffee drinker, so we frequently stopped by the included Starbucks, where David the barista gave excellent service and loved chatting with me about World Cup soccer. Also, a big shoutout goes out to Lady and Daisy at the spa. They gave my wife and I heavenly massages. However, the absolute heart of the entire hotel is Marco, the extraordinary juicer at Siete! His positivity, jokes, and contagious smile drew a long line of people waiting for his blended drinks every morning. Thank you to everyone for making our trip so memorable!

This is not a party resort. When we were there, there was a karaoke night and a DJ in one of their lounges, but it was never crowded and the events ended early or people just left early. The 1st room we stayed in was HORRIBLE! We couldn't sleep. There was a loud rumbling sound coming from the huge air conditioning units right outside balcony. Ear plugs did not help. We talked to 3 other people also complaining about the noise from their rooms also. We were so thankful to Eileen/Aileen at the front desk for moving us. She let us view 3 rooms that were available. We went from a partial ocean view room with a king bed on the 2nd floor to a garden view (actually just the alley with trees) with 2 queen beds on the 1st floor. There was no noise whatsoever! Yaaaay! The person booking excursions could be more friendly. He seemed uninterested and looked bored. Whenever we saw him speaking to other guests, he really looked bored or tired. ONE STAR for the spa. We arrived 15 minutes early for a couples massage. My husband was led to the men's side and I was taken to the women's side. The young lady leading the way, paused at the locker room but led me directly to the quiet room. I was fully dressed and had all my belongings with me. Everyone else was in robes. Why wasn't I given a locker to store my things and a robe to change into??? I was so upset and felt so out of place. When my husband met me in the quiet room he was as confused as I was as to why I was still fully dressed. We were led to the massage room and I asked AGAIN about changing into a robe and storing my things. One of the masseuses said I didn't need to. WTF? So I undressed and piled my clothes onto an ottoman. I could not relax. The music was too loud and inappropriate. Why are you playing music with someone singing loudly? When it was over, it took me a while to calm down. We paid for shit service?! We came back and spoke to Jessica at the desk. She was also confused and concerned about the whole lock and robe ordeal. She offered a discounted spa treatment the next day but we were leaving. I wouldn't have taken it anyway. Overall, the staff was AMAZING! Please recognize them! They worked really hard to make our stay enjoyable. Get to know the staff and tip them well. Thank you to Jose at Egos who made sure our hands always had a drink in them; Carlos at Varenna for the house special cocktails; Miguel who took care of us while we relaxed on the beachside cabana. He was so attentive, personable and funny. Alejandro at the poolside bar made us laugh, Israel at Azur for the honest feedback when we had questions about the dinner menu, and Cesar at Hidden Garden who helped us figure out what was what in the darkness of the dining area. One that note, why is it so dark at Hidden Garden during the dinner service? We had to use the flashlights on our phones to read the menu and see our food. Fernando at the Siete breakfast buffet was awesome! We watched him smoothly take care of so many tables. We never felt neglected despite all the tables and people he was tending to. Lulu (Lou Lou?) is AMAZING, FUNNY and ENTERTAINING! We were lost the 1st night we arrived. He stopped what he was doing to personally escorted us to Azur in the darkness, around all the pools. We ran into him several times during our stay. He always made sure we were ok and having a good time. His energy is unmatched! Thank you to Omar, from the Concierge desk. He welcomed us when we arrived and gave us so much information about the resort. It seemed like he works everywhere. We saw him at different places in the resort. Maryam from the Concierge Desk! She was an angel. She really listened to all of our concerns. She was so friendly and funny. Even when our stay was over and we were waiting for our ride, she offered drinks and food to take with us to the airport. She definitely put a smile back on my face.

Unfortunately, for the past two years, our experiences have declined significantly. The hotel no longer maintains the level of service and standards we once loved. The atmosphere feels different, the staff are not as welcoming, and there is a noticeable lack of attentiveness and care. During this stay, we had a particularly unpleasant two-day experience at the beach regarding the setup of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Rather than going into every detail, I will simply say the situation was handled poorly and left us very disappointed. What was most upsetting was that no meaningful effort was made to resolve the issue or make up for the inconvenience. Even after speaking with Guest Relations, who mentioned contacting the General Manager, nothing improved the following day. No accommodation or gesture was offered, which was surprising given the hotel's luxury positioning. It is also noticeable that the property feels quite empty during weekdays, except on special occasions or long weekends. Even then, the warmth and hospitality we once associated with this hotel seem to be missing. That said, I want to sincerely recognize Valenzo, who served us daily. He was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. We never had to ask for anything, he would notice small details, like refilling ice before we even realized it was melting. His service was outstanding and he truly tried to make our stay better. Thank you, Valenzo. You made a difference. It is genuinely sad to see a place that once meant so much to us lose its standard. He kept asking who I spoke to, despite my telling him I didn't know but called over 30 times over multiple days with the help of my hotel staff who researched their alternative numbers online as well. He didn't apologize or seem at all concerned that their contact information was outdated despite my showing him my email confirmation with the hotel info, their Google page, and even chatGPT which all had the 'incorrect number.' The hotel itself looked rundown and almost shut down from outside when I arrived on a dark, rainy night. Oddly enough, the room and lobby areas were immaculately clean though I had no hot water in my shower. I was too tired to address it with the man again so just let it be. I'd already witnessed his smugly address another guest who's fan remote wasn't working so I had no interest in putting myself thru another ordeal with him. I will say I appreciated the breakfast buffet, which was managed well by a friendly staff person. The food options, including tasty mocha coffee, were good -- cereal and a few tasty hot items. Despite these positives, the slow Wi-Fi and overall poor customer service left a very bad impression. I'm glad I only paid less than $60 for this stay, as I definitely would have had even stronger opinions at a higher price given the service and overall experience. Last pointer, the shuttle only goes out at 2 hours intervals and reviews say it can be late. I wasn't willing to risk an extra 2 hours at the airport or being late so ended up getting an Uber which by the way tried to charge me $40 instead of $8 after dropping me off. Thank goodness I caught it and contested it! Good luck friends!

The short stay was good for one night (affordable, good air conditioning, complimentary continental breakfast and bottled water in the room), but there's not much around the hotel area and the staff isn't very friendly. Also, the complimentary airport shuttle was INCREDIBLY slow. Despite making a reservation, we spent over 45 minutes waiting for our shuttle and even after calling the hotel twice, the front desk kept insisting that it was coming. Note that the hotel only provides complimentary shuttle one-way from the airport to the hotel (by reservation only), but they don't provide it from the hotel to the airport.

Marie, Frank and America = the ultimate trio butlers to have during your stay…read moreWe ran into Marie more often and absolutely just loved her warmth and hospitality Everything here is everything you need. From beautiful sunrise to sunset, it's a must come. Mercado Buffet - (as pictured) the woman who was there everyday when I was there, was the bomb! Made tacos so promptly and they were so yummy. Definitely I looked forward to every morning! Habanero - Rafael M., we saw him on our last day. But never have I ever seen anyone so hard in such hot weather and be grateful to meet, greet, serve so many people and still put a smile on his face. If we went the beginning of our trip, I don't doubt we would have been there every single day because of him! The Spa - CESAR! Sofia and Sara are the people you need to cross paths. Cesar is the one who got us in. Never did he rush us, he wanted us to enjoy our time at the pool and he circled back with kindness. And that's the only reason why we committed to the spa! Sofia and Sara were our people at the Spa, and boy did they put in work! I felt so relaxed and decompressed at the end of our trip because of them!!! Tradewinds - Araceli, the one who made our last day special. I told her it was our last day, and she brought the whole staff to sing and had us wear a big sombrero! It was so heartwarming and it made my heart sink, and did not make me want to leave!! The French restaurant is also a must! Loved the potato leek soup and the lamb rack. The Italian restaurant had amazing cheese mushroom pizza! I've been to Hyatt Los Cabo's, and the one thing Cancun didn't have was to go boxes due to regulations. The dolphins are such a cute thing to wake up to and was such a nice thing to do for family and people! We stayed at the Turquoise building. Loved the bath outside the room! It was my birthday, and my boyfriend and the staff really made it beyond special. From roses to balloons, to cards, to the simplest reminder of all them knowing it was my birthday and wishing me the best. You will hear a lot of, welcome family or hi family. And by the end of the trip, you will really feel that they really did become your family. 100/100 recommend this place!!!

And what used to be "the world's largest telephone booth" would dominate ANY hotel in the USA. The people are overly friendly as long as you are not doing shady things. And with billboards offering services directly to your room and a hospital system where you only go if you're sick. The "grey area" is a pretty loose term. The entire hotel is illuminated with L.E.D.'s. The space is immaculate. It was 1/4 mile from the room to the lobby. The ballrooms and convention spaces are like a stadium. (Indoors or outdoors). The public bus arrives every (2) minutes and are often full. It is approximately .50 US to go 30 miles downtown. Just looking at the creative ideas a child could write a book . "This ain't Tijuana". Every single person that works at this property is out of this world! Kind, helpful and always going above and beyond to make things memorable! There's always a little bit of construction because they're renovating, so plan accordingly by calling with them to make sure the areas you want open, are open. The new speakeasy is super cute. We visited there one evening and have the best time and service! This isn't the same restaurant where you go to breakfast but at night is a Spanish tapas restaurant. Everything was fantastic but all the food on the property is really great! We especially loved to order lunch by the pool. All the cocktails are fantastic, even poolside! Rooms are standard JW with some of them recently updated with the others on their way to being updated. Yes, there is a sort of a musty smell in the air, but that's in most hotels. It's a very hard to keep those highly humid rooms from smelling a little musty. You just have to get over it and enjoy the time outside the room. Pools are super cute and the beach area is nice. There is an adult pool that is open during the day but wish it was open later! Lots of places in walking distance if you decide to venture out of the property but why would you need to! Easy drive from the airport and to the downtown or for departure to Isla Mujeres. We did not go to the island this time but last time we booked everything through the hotel and they made it super easy.

Great breakfast and lunch buffets. I wish the food was a little better at the restaurants but it got the job done. No reservations needed unlike some of the other all-inclusive hotels. Excellent service the entire stay. Great beach access. Get out to the pool/beach early if you want to reserve a chair for the day. If not, people leave around lunch time and you can snag their chair. Located in the hotel zone of Cancun so it only took maybe 15 minutes to get there from the airport. Gated resort with an attendant. We never felt unsafe and even ventured off of the property to check out the shops across the street. I would highly recommend this resort!

From the beginning we got here room was dirty we had to complain and get them to clean . The people who say this is a good resort clearly have not been to a good resort . At least go to one of the riu resorts. Secrets is not it. Food is horrible . Burned steaks . We had to leave the resort go to a restaurant to eat something good. Also on the beaches you get harassed every second to buy an excursion . Worse resort I been to in my life. Also my wife was pregnant we waited 25 mins to be seated and then the guy manager "Luis" in the steakhouse says I can't go in because I'm not wearing long pants. Great I understand and respect policy but why did you not tell me 25 mins ago when I came and checked in made my pregnant wife wait all that time to be denied. I will never return to this resort I will make sure none of my friends or anyone I know stay here take your money elsewhere . Also whatever you do if you do end up in this forsaken resort DO Not upgrade to preferred club the Infiniti pool is stupiddd and the alcohol is same as the other bars they just try to sell you on expensive alcochol by the bottle. They be like 4500 ... but in pesos .. in dollar 280 or something ... ripofff Anyone putting positive review for this resort clearly has not been to a decent resort and they do not know any better!

The staff was very friendly and tried to help with our request. The room was a junior suite with an ocean view. It was comfortable and our room attendant did a great job. The king bed was two beds pushed together, but with some magic by the wife we made it more like one and were very comfortable. You can get a single king bed in some of the rooms. We were there with friends and didn't want be separated so we stayed with that configuration. I would try and get a room on the west wing. It actually looks to the east and you don't get the extreme heat in the late afternoon that the east wing does. We ate at all of the restaurants and our favs were the Black and White Steak house and Krystal. The Italian restaurant off of the lobby was good for a quick slice of pizza at lunch time. The buffet is like it is on a cruise ship and was good for most of our breakfast seatings. After a few days gets a little old. The staff was super friendly and hard workers. There is a 24 hour refreshment spot, but the food is only so so. Just for a quick sandwich or fruit. They do have a beer tap and a few selections of liquor available there for self service as well. The pool and beach area had plenty of chairs and umbrellas. If you don't see any available just ask and they will make it happen if possible. My complaint about the pool would be they close at 7:00. One small pool stay open until 8:00. Way too early for an adult only. I suggest if you want to do excursions to go straight across the street to one of the stands. If you know what you want to do they are a much better deal, but be certain you know where you want to go. make sure and get transportation included in your excursion. Also in that area there is the Bamboo Spa. You can get a massage for less than half at the resort spa. They did a very good job and were very professional. Not a "happy endings" type of place. Tell them you will do the massage if they throw in the fish foot treatment. Sounds weird but it was pretty nice. This is all inclusive for food and drink. The drinks are pretty light and when you ask for something other than the house liquor I'm pretty sure it didn't happen all the time. The best is to ask for the drink with a shot on the side, or better yet go to the bar yourself and watch them make the drink. It was definitely better and i was assured to get the name brand. Over all I would recommend this RIU.
