Live Aqua Cancun was a really nice all-inclusive overall. Not perfect, but definitely a relaxing resort and a place I'd still give four stars. We checked in on a Sunday around 4:30, and the room was already cleaned up and ready. We stayed in one of the terrace rooms on the fourth floor, and the room was well maintained the whole trip. Housekeeping was really good, and the lady who seemed to consistently clean our room was super friendly. They also do evening turndown service between about 6 and 9, which I liked more than I thought I would. The food was hit or miss. Sea Corner was easily the biggest disappointment. You really have to like ceviche to enjoy that spot. I tried the battered fish taco, which was a really small rolled fried fish taco and honestly tasted kind of stale. The red snapper tostada was okay, but still pretty subpar. Overall, Sea Corner is one I would skip. Ciete's breakfast buffet was decent, but still very buffet. Some of the food had that stale, been-sitting-out-too-long taste, but the omelet bar and fresh juice/smoothie bar helped a lot. They have two omelet bars, which spreads people out, and Marco at the smoothie bar was awesome. He remembered me after my first smoothie and was friendly the rest of the trip. Azure was pretty good. We split hummus and pita, and I got the chicken in red wine. The chicken was cooked perfectly and came on a bed of mashed potatoes that were really good. Dessert was just okay. The baklava was very cinnamon-heavy and almost tasted like a churro. MB was good and definitely felt like their "dress up" restaurant. I had the stuffed chicken, my girlfriend had the veal cheek, and we also tried the filet mignon. The filet was cooked perfectly medium rare, and the meal overall was good. Not amazing, but one of the better dinners there. Hidden Garden was probably our favorite restaurant. We went there twice because it was that good compared to the other options. The samosas, gyoza, chicken satay, shrimp fried rice, and desserts were all really good. The Thao, basically their version of orange chicken, was also really good. The pad Thai was okay, but sweeter than I prefer. Their signature cocktails were also really good. The Thursday night show was a nice part of the trip. They had a buffet by the pool, with a mariachi band from 7 to 8 and traditional Mexican dancing from 8 to 9. The dancing was almost like a theater-style show, and that part was great. The buffet was on par or slightly below par. They had a crepe bar, a grill with pretty good steak and chicken, and a couple decent soups, but a lot of it still had that left-out-too-long, slightly stale buffet taste. The entertainment and activities were a big highlight. Trivia every night was great, and karaoke was a blast once people started getting into it. Pablo hosted trivia and karaoke with Jorge as the DJ, and Pablo brought a lot of energy. Jorge also DJs at Egos later at night, and they played a good mix of American dance music and Latin dance music. During the day, we tried archery, water aerobics, bingo, the guacamole class, casino night, and a self-facial class. Archery was a blast, and aqua aerobics in the infinity pool was really fun. Ricky was a ball of energy, and Jocelyn was really cool too. The activities did not feel like boring resort filler, which was a nice surprise. A few things could be better. Pool towel service closes at 6, even though people are still in the pool later. There is also basically no shade in most of the pools, so you get crispy pretty fast. They also need to be clearer about which pool beds are first-come, first-serve and which ones are paid or for Club Aqua. I saw multiple people get moved because it was not explained well. Communication could be better too. Some restaurants are closed on certain days, probably because the resort was around 50% capacity, but they should give you a schedule at check-in. We planned to try Verana, their Italian restaurant, and then found out it was closed that day. The humidity is something to think about. Obviously it is Cancun, but the indoor areas and hallways do not have much air circulation. Our fourth-floor hallway also had a broken water feature with sitting water, and I think that made the hallway smell more humid and musky than the rest of the resort. The drinks were decent, but I would not go in expecting strong resort cocktails. I drank margaritas and pina coladas most of the trip and never really felt much from them. For stronger drinks, shots are probably the better route. Overall, Live Aqua Cancun was a really nice, relaxing trip. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the activities were way more fun than expected, and Hidden Garden was a nice surprise. The food is not amazing across the board, the pool setup could be better, and communication could use work, but I still had a really good time. Good resort, not perfect, but definitely worth checking out.
Overall, this was a great resort. We went in with really high expectations for the food based on a lot of research we did - our expectations were too high. The food for the whole stay was average. A few bad meals, a few above average, but overall just good enough. Which is to be expected at an all inclusive. The highlights were the pool and the service of all their team members. Every person we interacted with was incredibly nice and helpful. The pools were great! We loved that they were different temperatures too, what a fun bonus. We arrived at the pools around 8am each morning and there were plenty of options to where we wanted to grab a spot for the day. The cabana prices were high, and based on our experience not necessary when there are so many options. Food - I was really looking forward to the sushi, which was truly terrible. I also had read reviews that they had "the best pad Thai ever" at Hidden Garden, it was the worst pad Thai I've ever had! The smoothies for breakfast were amazing, I wish they were available all day. MB was also great, we went there two nights in a row because the food was definitely the best at the resort. Overall, I would recommend this resort for a quiet all inclusive trip.
My boyfriend and I came here for the first time this past year, and it exceeded our expectations! We booked an Aqua Club room, which came with exclusive amenities and butlers. Aqua Club Lounge: - Bartender was incredibly sweet, funny, and quick with the drinks. - There were live singers every night we were there, which added a nice romantic vibe to the evenings. - As a huge coffee girly, the lattes were latte-ing. Service: - Our butlers were attentive, responsive, and super friendly. They checked in regularly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. - Poolside drink service was lacking. We ended up walking to the bar ourselves because the servers didn't come around that often. Food: - Room service was a huge miss. We ordered late one night, and the food was incredibly bland. - Restaurants were all pretty great and served generous portions. - Siete's breakfast buffet became our go-to almost every morning because they offered a plethora of options for everyone: pastries, omelet station, smoothies, fruits, etc. - MB was easily our favorite restaurant. We ate here twice, and all the meals were fantastic! Vibes: Crowd was a mix of families (no kids) and couples of all ages. The resort was relaxing and quiet for the most part so if you're looking to party, this probably isn't the place for you. Activities: They have different activities going on throughout the day: yoga, bingo, volleyball, archery, aqua aerobics, etc. We did a bracelet-making class, which was super chill and made for such a cute little souvenir. Definitely check out the Circus Show at night!! Tips: - Snagging a pool chair was tricky so either grab one super early or keep an eye out for empty chairs throughout the day. If you want guaranteed seating, cabanas are available for $80/day. - If you're sweaty and want to eat somewhere with AC, skip the Varenna and Hidden Garden.
This was our first time at this resort and it lived up fully to our expectations. The resort was clean, well staffed and offered a lot of amenities. The selection of restaurants and small eateries on the resort was great as well. The pool was well staffed and provided good amount of chairs and sun loungers. There are also plenty of cabanas but those are around $75/day. Depending on where you want to sit, this could be a great value because some cabanas face directly to the ocean and they offer a 20 minute foot massage that is included in the price. The pool areas offers various activities all throughout the day so you'll never be bored. The daily breakfast buffet offered a good amount of options for breakfast and our favorite was the omelette bar where they make an omelette with whatever ingredients you desire. There's also a store inside that has Starbucks coffee drinks which is a nice touch. The restaurants on the property are all delicious and provide a good amount of food for dinner. Our favorite was MB. The Italian and Thai restaurant was also delicious. The room was clean and had plenty of towels and toiletries. The only downside is the "bell" that they use for entry. That thing sounds like an electric chair going off, it's not subtle, it's loud and if you forget to put your "do not disturb" door hanger, prepare to be woken up by a not so pleasant noise. Also, the air diffuser they use can be a little overwhelming at first, but then the nose just gets used to it. They use the scent technology all throughout the resort. The hotel sits right on the beach and is really convenient for walks on the beach and taking a dip in the ocean. There are also plenty of cabanas and sun loungers on the beach. Overall this was a very good experience and we plan to return in the near future.
VENTAJAS: Está en la zona hotelera, en muy buen lugar, empleados muy amables, ¡la alberca grande espectacular!, el brazalete como llave se me hizo perfecto y muy práctico, muy padre la bienvenida, SÚPER AMABLES, y no se diga el Chef en el primer desayuno. DESVENTAJAS: ¡Lamentablemente MUCHAS!. 1ª- El primer día pedimos cobijas y sodas, pero como tardaron mucho, mi esposo llamó para decirles que no las trajeran hasta que regresáramos del restaurante, porque dejamos todas las maletas abiertas, con pasaportes, dinero, etc, y para eso dejamos la estrellita ZZZ de la privacidad puesta, ¡Y AÚN ASÍ ENTRARON A LA HABITACIÓN!, me pareció bastante mal, y otra cosa, las habitaciones tienen sensores para saber si te encuentras ahí o no, ¿con qué finalidad?, ¿espiar?.....¡MUY MAL!. 2ª- El hotel es oscuro, parece que está cerrado, no tiene vibra, se ve solo, sin ambiente, callado, ¡SIN VIDA!, aburrido; cuando veníamos de cenar, caminando en la rampa, la muchacha de la entrada nos vió batallando con mi mamá de 81 años subiendo y nos dijo que podíamos entrar por una puerta, pero como está tan oscuro, no pensamos que estuviera funcionando, todo es muy separado, oscuro, sin vida, no sé, no nos gustó, ¡ni comparación con el Riú Kukulkán!. 3ª- ¡NO HAY DONDE COLGAR TOALLAS ADENTRO DE LA DUCHA!, tienes que agarrarlas desde el lavabo empapando el piso y muy peligroso el resbalarse, y en los 2 ganchos que hay para colgar están batas del hotel, se están cayendo y parchados con pedazos de tapiz (muy naco ), como de hotelucho barato, ¡no hay más donde colgar las toallas mojadas y los trajes de baño!, ¡FATAL Y MUY MOLESTO SE ME HIZO ESE DETALLE!, también había leído malas críticas de huéspedes que les ha tocado bañarse con agua fría, ¡y una mañana me tocó a mí! , ¡jamás salió agua caliente!, y la regadera para abrirse durísima, los focos de los espejos fundidos, los lavabos yo creo están tapados porque sonaban muy feo cuando se iba el agua, la taza del baño como para niños, casi en el piso, y vieja, con la tapadera de plástico que se atora y cuando la bajas rechina horrible, no hay privacidad para la persona que se quiere arreglar en el tocador y la otra bañándose, las persianas del baño, no cierran bien, se vuelven abrir solas. 4ª- La terrible condensación que se forma en la habitación cuando abres el balcón porque el AC no para de funcionar, el piso empapado, peligroso, y el ruido terrible en la puerta, tuvimos que tirar una toalla para callarlo; la ropa y lo demás húmedo, lo que en el Riú Kukulkán NO SUCEDE. 5ª- ¡La TACAÑEES en la comida!, POR EL DINERO QUE PAGAS....., ¡FATAL!, me impresionó cuando fuimos a comer unos tacos de pescado al Azzur (creo que es el nombre del restaurante si no me equivoco), unos tacos de pescado frito NECESITAN un aderezo cremoso encima, o salsa cremosa porque son secos y más con el repollo, ahí dice que vienen con aderezo de chipotle, que es una untada como de un dedo a un lado del plato para los 3 tacos, ¡nada más!...........pedí más aderezo, jamás lo trajeron, pedí salsas y me trajeron una de habanero en un miserable contenedor de menos de un centímetro con la mitad de salsa, pedí otras porque mi marido y mi mamá no comen habanero....y el mesero dijo: ¡NO HAY SALSAS, SÓLO TABASCO! , ¿en Cancún México NO HAY SALSAS? , ¡NO LO PODÍA CREER! , ¡y los tacos estaban buenísimos!, pero sin aderezo, ni salsa NO, los limones casi cortados en 20 pedacitos, pero te dan sólo te dan 3, otra, mi marido pidió unos waffles con pollo eran como para un niño, con 2 tiras de pollo, como que todo muy medido, muy poco de todo, el guacamole también te dan un miseria, vuelves a pedir y jamás te traen, como si estuvieras en una degustación, nosotros acostumbrados al bufet y los restaurantes del Riu Kukulkán donde hay de TODO, en grandes cantidades, ¡y el Live Aqua muy mal!, lo que si me fascinó fueron los "chilaquiles griegos", y el pollo asado afuera, ¡a mi marido le fascinó al igual que las costillas!; en el bufet NO puedes disponer del tocino que deseas , ¡TODO DEMASIADO MEDIDO EN LA COMIDA!, y por el dinero que pagas NO se me hizo justo. 5ª- Y la última, ¡qué frías las albercas redondas! , nos dijo un empleado que la única que usa caldera es la grande, desilusión porque están padrísimas, sobretodo la que está con vista al mar, y todavía después del dineral que pagas, ¡tienes que rentar las cabanas! , o sea no es ALL INCLUSIVE!. Nos desilusionó BASTANTE porque pensamos que era un hotel del primera y no, es un hotel viejo, remodelado, oscuro y sin vibra, definitivamente no volveremos.
My wife and I recently stayed at this resort for our 30th year wedding anniversary. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with warm, welcoming, smiles, and the concierge came over and introduced himself and gave us nice cool moist scented towels for our faces. It was so refreshing and a nice touch! Our concierge, Abel was so friendly and welcoming to us. He explained everything about the hotel, where everything was located, the restaurants, things to do, and even gave us a free 2 hours couples massage and a free day use of a cabana. in exchange for listening to a sales presentation about joining their resorts discount program. Well, at first I was so not wanting to do this at all. I kept thinking of these high-pressure timeshare program sales presentations. But my wife and I really wanted to do the two hours couples massage so we bit the bullet and did it. I'm so glad we did because it was so worth the hour that we listened to the presentation. There was no high-pressure tactics whatsoever and although their offer was tempting, we just politely declined and that was it! No hard feelings or no awkwardness or anything .They gave us the vouchers just as they promised, shook our hands, smiled and told us it was a pleasure to meet with us. Everybody at the hotel from the registration staff, to the housekeeping staff, to the restaurant staff are also pleasant. They always smile and make eye contact with you no matter where you are. You could just be walking through the corridor and come across a resort employee, and they'll smile and greet you and ask you how you are enjoying your stay so far. They really do treat you like VIPs at this establishment. There are many restaurants there and we went to just about all of them as they were all inclusive except for one which was not all inclusive. We enjoyed every restaurant where we went to, and I did do reviews on those. The pools are fantastic. They have several pools and our favorites were the Swim up bar pool and the infinity pool. The poolside drinks I discovered were not very strong. Although you can request regular cocktails and those do seem to be stronger, the fruity tropical drinks seem to be pretty weak in comparison. A lot of times I would just order the beer and that way I knew I was getting the alcohol content that I wanted. The resort is literally right on the beach and it makes it so nice to be able to walk down from the swimming pool area right down onto the beach and walk out to the ocean and jump in the water. They have cabana's and Beach recliners there that you can reserve and rent or if they're not being used, you could just grab one as we did. There is the problem with the seaweed on the beach, but it didn't bother us. I found the seaweed is to be dry and not slimy and ipretty short stemmed, kind of like mini bonsai plants? But it doesn't really matter what hotel you stay at in Cancun this will be an issue. They do have the outdoor showers for when you do come off of the beach you can wash all the sand, and any seaweed that you might've collected in your swimming trunks off of you. There's even complementary soap, shampoo and conditioner there as well! All in all a fantastic five star stay and we can't wait to go back to this hotel again. I don't even think we need to look at any other hotels when we decide to go back.
Visited at the end of March to attend a wedding at the resort property. We scheduled local transportation which was a breeze coming from the airport to the resort. Our luggage was immediately checked in and we were able to check in even arriving early around 11 am. Our particular room was ready and we checked and our luggage was promptly dropped off. We stayed in an oceanfront room which had a beautiful view with a seating area inside and on the balcony. The room and bathroom were very clean and well stocked. I like the aromatherapy touch in the resort and in our rooms being able to choose which scent you wanted was very nice. I loved the separation of the toilet and shower by a wall and doors for privacy when using either. The water pressure and water temperature in the shower was great although there was some water draining from the shower during use. We would generally put a foot towel down to contain the water. The room was serviced twice daily so we were never without towels, etc. I also utilized the laundry service which was reasonably priced for three pieces of clothing and it was returned the next day. The staff was generally very courteous and helpful (we only had one less than courteous experience with a waiter at the Hidden Garden on our last evening). The food at the restaurants and by the beach and pool area was great - I cannot say enough about the fresh fruit and the grilled ribs and chicken so well seasoned and cooked with flavor. We ate daily in Siete for breakfast (the smoothie station you will need to go to first because it fills up because the smoothies are sooo good). We also dined at Hidden Garden where I enjoyed Indian cuisine which was delicious (but a small portion). All inclusive so it was nice not having to continually carry payment and only the gratuity needed for the staff. The last two mornings of our stay there appeared to be construction in the room next door or our floor which was disturbing - we did alert the front desk staff and it would generally stop around a certain time. Getting beds and chairs at the beach was generally easy but for the pool it was the hunger games usually having to place towels or bags on chairs early to 'reserve' them (there are no reservations for chairs only for the larger cabanas for an additional fee) We also experienced the spa which was amazing. Highly recommend visiting during your stay. The spa ritual is so relaxing and the couples massage in a combined room was great. Would definitely stay again. $$$
I haven't been back to Cancun since college so 25 years ago. This place was the perfect 5 day, 4 night getaway in early November. We even got to celebrate dia de muertos. We reserved an ocean view room and they gave us a lobby floor room. Plus--didn't have to take much elevators, they gave us some perks to replace what we didn't get. Con - it's loud at night until at least 10 pm with the nearby bar. I'd probably opt for the highest floor next time instead of the perks. The place is a nice size with several restaurants, enough pools and space without the crowd of a lot of people. We easily got pool loungers. We played bingo twice, enjoyed pool aerobics, and someone hired a DJ at the small pool with the swim up bar. The breakfast buffet everyday was perfect. All the servers were kind, fun and attentive. We got a butler, who reserved our restaurant tables and answered our questions. First time having one so not sure what else they do. The location is nice because it across the street from the mall. I personally loved how they were constantly cleaning the bathrooms lol. So the floors were not wet or sandy from the beach or pool. All the restaurants were so good. Quick 20 minute or so trip from the airport. We had an amazing time. I can't wait to come back!
This is a review of our 5 Day, 4 Night stay at Live Aqua Cancún.b Service: The overall service was exceptional, a 5 Star experience, the staff is extremely attentive to the customer needs, always willing to go the extra step to ensure a great stay. Everyone was very helpful, making recommendations, ensuring everything was perfect or as close as it could be. Nearly all the staff spoke English or could quickly get someone to translate. Upon arrival we were met at the front door, staff Welcomed us, secured our luggage and escorted us to the front desk. We quickly got checked in and were escorted to our room, after an unfortunate delay. The only negative was the staff member with Fiesta Americana, she was initially very helpful, explaining the resort layout, pools, restaurants, activities, etc. I had commented several times it was a long day, we both were hungry and really wanted to get settled in. Instead we got the sales pitch regarding their membership club. Honestly, if that chat had not happened and it could have happened organically it would've gone much differently. Accommodations: The rooms are well maintained, very clean, with a modern feel. They provide each guest with a bathrobe, slippers, there is a pool bag and a rubber duck, you can keep the duck and slippers. There is a mini fridge that is stocked daily, and if you ask for something specifically, the staff will gladly ensure you have it. The only negative was our room was located on the mezzanine level, above the night club, so we heard that each evening. This might not bother someone visiting for the night life, that just isn't us. Restaurants/Dinning: When we arrived, we were both hungry and unfortunately because of the forementioned delay we ended up at the Sea Corner restaurant, as they were preparing to close. It apparently was the only thing still open, so it was our only option at that time. I ordered the fish and octopus tacos, it was very disappointing and we did not give it a second look on this trip. For breakfast, we primarily ate at the Siete buffet, which has an assortment of options. We especially enjoyed the freshly made omelette or scramble, along with toast and yogurt. One of the truly enjoyable experiences both from an entertainment aspect as well as flavor was the smoothie station. There are so many options, so we simply said I would like something like and just let the staff do their magic. We did also have breakfast one morning at Azur, I had the chicken waffles and she had the big cakes breakfast. It was good, but honestly, the buffet was better due to the options available. For lunch we tried and found to be the best food we ate on our visit was at the barbecue available mid day just off the Main pool area. They offered barbecue ribs, chicken and chorizo, along with steamed vegetables, white rice, and a salad bar, absolutely awesome. We tried the Sushi Station one evening, it was OK, she wouldn't eat it. It was comparable to supermarket sushi. So we also tried the room service, the pizza was not good, undercooked. The Chicken Club sandwich was again OK. MB was our last night dinner experience, it was also extremely good, the food was all amazing, you must try the habanero soup, has a hint of heat, but mostly great flavor. The filet mignon and salmon steak were perfectly prepared with exceptional flavor. As this is an included restaurant with the stay, I could easily see it being a nightly experience. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try Varenna the Italian restaurant or Azur for dinner. Hopefully on our next visit, Carnivore is not included in the resort package, we thought about going one night but chose MB instead, best decision for the cost (included so no extra) Pools and Ocean: They have a total of seven pools, each having a slightly different temperature. The Infiniti pool looks out over the beachfront and ocean, it was slightly cooler than the Main pool, still very comfortable. The Main pool stretches the length in front of the resort, it felt warm almost like bath water. There is a pool bar off one side, with music at times, it was normally crowded. They have several activities throughout the day in the main pool, such as pool fitness or bingo, led by resort staff. One evening they had a Circus show with a Buffet Dinner, greatly enjoyed the show, missed the dinner but it looked good. During our stay, it was what they call red flag days, not really sure what that means because we saw several people going into the ocean, and the lifeguard simply watched to ensure nothing bad happened. The beach itself is a beautiful white sand, extremely well maintained and free of seaweed or any debris. Sorry unable to add pictures, I have tried for 3 days.

My spouse and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Live Aqua. The property is stunning, the staff was exceptionally attentive, and the food was delicious. The spa was fantastic, offering step-by-step guidance through the dry sauna, steam room, and both warm and cool pools-such a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The hotel sits right on the beach with breathtaking views and features several pools, including one with a fun swim-up bar. Dining options were excellent, with several restaurants to choose from, including Mediterranean, Mexican, buffet, Asian, sushi, steakhouse, and American cuisine. Our room was fantastic, with a rainfall shower, comfortable beds, prompt housekeeping, 24-hour room service, and turn-down service. We also enjoyed live entertainment and a night club on the property, yet it remained wonderfully quiet when we wanted to relax. We loved the aromatherapy --it was such a thoughtful touch. The location is very convenient: close to a pharmacy, just across the street from a shopping mall with a mix of upscale and casual dining and shops, and only 10-15 minutes from Cancun's vibrant club zone. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Came here to celebrate my nephews birthday. Please make sure if you can, stay in the aqua club rooms you will thank me later. Everyone here is amazing, the food is amazing and the service is top notch!
Loved loved loved this resort. I believe I went during non-peak time (early April 2023) and the resort was not packed at all. It's not a large resort but very manageable. The resort activities are mediocre compared to others but honestly it didn't bother me. I did enjoy the silent disco party. The rooms were very clean, inviting and modern. Some of the cute room amenities were the bedroom slippers and comfy robes, the beach slippers and the beach bag (pictured) to use during your stay. There are many restaurant options to choose from; with only one Carnivorous, being an additional charge. All other restaurants were inclusive. The food is well plated and beautiful! They definitely take their time with presentation. The food is also delicious. My fave was the SeaCorner restaurant! The cocktails however, were way too sweet, that was the general consensus with our group. With 4 pool options, a jacuzzi and the immaculate beach, you have many areas to enjoy the sun. The spa experience was also wonderful. Of course it's an added cost but the hydrotherapy is included in all spa packages. You definitely can miss the candle massage. I'm not sure how it differentiates from the other massages; it felt like a regular massage. The hotel is on the strip if you decide to venture out and it is steps away from a Luxury mall. I would definitely return!
We recently stayed at this hotel for a week. Like most properties in Cancun, it is modern and packed with great amenities. However, what truly struck us both this time was the incredibly warm treatment we received. A hotel is only as great as its staff, and the team here is what makes it special. We booked a club-level oceanfront room, which included butler service. Our butler, Arturo, absolutely came through for us. He handled our restaurant and cabana reservations ahead of time and was instrumental in securing a late check-out on our final day. The dining at this all-inclusive is superb. For breakfast, Siete offers a decent buffet, and our waiter, Helvert, was incredibly kind and always took the time to chat with us. For dinner, DB was our top choice for elegant continental dining, complete with a live pianist. The manager, Susana, provided excellent service, the food was delicious, and the chef even came out to greet us. We also loved Hidden Gardens, a relaxed Asian-fusion spot with tasty food, impeccable service, and another welcome visit from the chef. During the sweltering day, the pool is the main draw. Lalo was always helpful in securing our requested cabana. They cost an extra $115 each time, but they are completely worth it to escape the intense sun. Our pool waitress, Marysol, befriended us and knew exactly what non-alcoholic drinks to bring us. My wife is a big coffee drinker, so we frequently stopped by the included Starbucks, where David the barista gave excellent service and loved chatting with me about World Cup soccer. Also, a big shoutout goes out to Lady and Daisy at the spa. They gave my wife and I heavenly massages. However, the absolute heart of the entire hotel is Marco, the extraordinary juicer at Siete! His positivity, jokes, and contagious smile drew a long line of people waiting for his blended drinks every morning. Thank you to everyone for making our trip so memorable! read more
Live Aqua Cancun was a really nice all-inclusive overall. Not perfect, but definitely a relaxing resort and a place I'd still give four stars. We checked in on a Sunday around 4:30, and the room was already cleaned up and ready. We stayed in one of the terrace rooms on the fourth floor, and the room was well maintained the whole trip. Housekeeping was really good, and the lady who seemed to consistently clean our room was super friendly. They also do evening turndown service between about 6 and 9, which I liked more than I thought I would. The food was hit or miss. Sea Corner was easily the biggest disappointment. You really have to like ceviche to enjoy that spot. I tried the battered fish taco, which was a really small rolled fried fish taco and honestly tasted kind of stale. The red snapper tostada was okay, but still pretty subpar. Overall, Sea Corner is one I would skip. Ciete's breakfast buffet was decent, but still very buffet. Some of the food had that stale, been-sitting-out-too-long taste, but the omelet bar and fresh juice/smoothie bar helped a lot. They have two omelet bars, which spreads people out, and Marco at the smoothie bar was awesome. He remembered me after my first smoothie and was friendly the rest of the trip. Azure was pretty good. We split hummus and pita, and I got the chicken in red wine. The chicken was cooked perfectly and came on a bed of mashed potatoes that were really good. Dessert was just okay. The baklava was very cinnamon-heavy and almost tasted like a churro. MB was good and definitely felt like their "dress up" restaurant. I had the stuffed chicken, my girlfriend had the veal cheek, and we also tried the filet mignon. The filet was cooked perfectly medium rare, and the meal overall was good. Not amazing, but one of the better dinners there. Hidden Garden was probably our favorite restaurant. We went there twice because it was that good compared to the other options. The samosas, gyoza, chicken satay, shrimp fried rice, and desserts were all really good. The Thao, basically their version of orange chicken, was also really good. The pad Thai was okay, but sweeter than I prefer. Their signature cocktails were also really good. The Thursday night show was a nice part of the trip. They had a buffet by the pool, with a mariachi band from 7 to 8 and traditional Mexican dancing from 8 to 9. The dancing was almost like a theater-style show, and that part was great. The buffet was on par or slightly below par. They had a crepe bar, a grill with pretty good steak and chicken, and a couple decent soups, but a lot of it still had that left-out-too-long, slightly stale buffet taste. The entertainment and activities were a big highlight. Trivia every night was great, and karaoke was a blast once people started getting into it. Pablo hosted trivia and karaoke with Jorge as the DJ, and Pablo brought a lot of energy. Jorge also DJs at Egos later at night, and they played a good mix of American dance music and Latin dance music. During the day, we tried archery, water aerobics, bingo, the guacamole class, casino night, and a self-facial class. Archery was a blast, and aqua aerobics in the infinity pool was really fun. Ricky was a ball of energy, and Jocelyn was really cool too. The activities did not feel like boring resort filler, which was a nice surprise. A few things could be better. Pool towel service closes at 6, even though people are still in the pool later. There is also basically no shade in most of the pools, so you get crispy pretty fast. They also need to be clearer about which pool beds are first-come, first-serve and which ones are paid or for Club Aqua. I saw multiple people get moved because it was not explained well. Communication could be better too. Some restaurants are closed on certain days, probably because the resort was around 50% capacity, but they should give you a schedule at check-in. We planned to try Verana, their Italian restaurant, and then found out it was closed that day. The humidity is something to think about. Obviously it is Cancun, but the indoor areas and hallways do not have much air circulation. Our fourth-floor hallway also had a broken water feature with sitting water, and I think that made the hallway smell more humid and musky than the rest of the resort. The drinks were decent, but I would not go in expecting strong resort cocktails. I drank margaritas and pina coladas most of the trip and never really felt much from them. For stronger drinks, shots are probably the better route. Overall, Live Aqua Cancun was a really nice, relaxing trip. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the activities were way more fun than expected, and Hidden Garden was a nice surprise. The food is not amazing across the board, the pool setup could be better, and communication could use work, but I still had a really good time. Overall, this was a great resort. We went in with really high expectations for the food based on a lot of research we did - our expectations were too high. The food for the whole stay was average. A few bad meals, a few above average, but overall just good enough. Which is to be expected at an all inclusive. The highlights were the pool and the service of all their team members. Every person we interacted with was incredibly nice and helpful. The pools were great! We loved that they were different temperatures too, what a fun bonus. We arrived at the pools around 8am each morning and there were plenty of options to where we wanted to grab a spot for the day. The cabana prices were high, and based on our experience not necessary when there are so many options. Food - I was really looking forward to the sushi, which was truly terrible. I also had read reviews that they had "the best pad Thai ever" at Hidden Garden, it was the worst pad Thai I've ever had! The smoothies for breakfast were amazing, I wish they were available all day. MB was also great, we went there two nights in a row because the food was definitely the best at the resort. Overall, I would recommend this resort for a quiet all inclusive trip. read more

My boyfriend and I came here for the first time this past year, and it exceeded our expectations! We booked an Aqua Club room, which came with exclusive amenities and butlers. Aqua Club Lounge: - Bartender was incredibly sweet, funny, and quick with the drinks. - There were live singers every night we were there, which added a nice romantic vibe to the evenings. - As a huge coffee girly, the lattes were latte-ing. Service: - Our butlers were attentive, responsive, and super friendly. They checked in regularly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. - Poolside drink service was lacking. We ended up walking to the bar ourselves because the servers didn't come around that often. Food: - Room service was a huge miss. We ordered late one night, and the food was incredibly bland. - Restaurants were all pretty great and served generous portions. - Siete's breakfast buffet became our go-to almost every morning because they offered a plethora of options for everyone: pastries, omelet station, smoothies, fruits, etc. - MB was easily our favorite restaurant. We ate here twice, and all the meals were fantastic! Vibes: Crowd was a mix of families (no kids) and couples of all ages. The resort was relaxing and quiet for the most part so if you're looking to party, this probably isn't the place for you. Activities: They have different activities going on throughout the day: yoga, bingo, volleyball, archery, aqua aerobics, etc. We did a bracelet-making class, which was super chill and made for such a cute little souvenir. Definitely check out the Circus Show at night!! Tips: - Snagging a pool chair was tricky so either grab one super early or keep an eye out for empty chairs throughout the day. If you want guaranteed seating, cabanas are available for $80/day. - If you're sweaty and want to eat somewhere with AC, skip the Varenna and Hidden Garden. read more
This was our first time at this resort and it lived up fully to our expectations. The resort was clean, well staffed and offered a lot of amenities. The selection of restaurants and small eateries on the resort was great as well. The pool was well staffed and provided good amount of chairs and sun loungers. There are also plenty of cabanas but those are around $75/day. Depending on where you want to sit, this could be a great value because some cabanas face directly to the ocean and they offer a 20 minute foot massage that is included in the price. The pool areas offers various activities all throughout the day so you'll never be bored. The daily breakfast buffet offered a good amount of options for breakfast and our favorite was the omelette bar where they make an omelette with whatever ingredients you desire. There's also a store inside that has Starbucks coffee drinks which is a nice touch. The restaurants on the property are all delicious and provide a good amount of food for dinner. Our favorite was MB. The Italian and Thai restaurant was also delicious. The room was clean and had plenty of towels and toiletries. The only downside is the "bell" that they use for entry. That thing sounds like an electric chair going off, it's not subtle, it's loud and if you forget to put your "do not disturb" door hanger, prepare to be woken up by a not so pleasant noise. Also, the air diffuser they use can be a little overwhelming at first, but then the nose just gets used to it. They use the scent technology all throughout the resort. The hotel sits right on the beach and is really convenient for walks on the beach and taking a dip in the ocean. There are also plenty of cabanas and sun loungers on the beach. VENTAJAS: Está en la zona hotelera, en muy buen lugar, empleados muy amables, ¡la alberca grande espectacular!, el brazalete como llave se me hizo perfecto y muy práctico, muy padre la bienvenida, SÚPER AMABLES, y no se diga el Chef en el primer desayuno. DESVENTAJAS: ¡Lamentablemente MUCHAS!. 1ª- El primer día pedimos cobijas y sodas, pero como tardaron mucho, mi esposo llamó para decirles que no las trajeran hasta que regresáramos del restaurante, porque dejamos todas las maletas abiertas, con pasaportes, dinero, etc, y para eso dejamos la estrellita ZZZ de la privacidad puesta, ¡Y AÚN ASÍ ENTRARON A LA HABITACIÓN!, me pareció bastante mal, y otra cosa, las habitaciones tienen sensores para saber si te encuentras ahí o no, ¿con qué finalidad?, ¿espiar?.....¡MUY MAL!. 2ª- El hotel es oscuro, parece que está cerrado, no tiene vibra, se ve solo, sin ambiente, callado, ¡SIN VIDA!, aburrido; cuando veníamos de cenar, caminando en la rampa, la muchacha de la entrada nos vió batallando con mi mamá de 81 años subiendo y nos dijo que podíamos entrar por una puerta, pero como está tan oscuro, no pensamos que estuviera funcionando, todo es muy separado, oscuro, sin vida, no sé, no nos gustó, ¡ni comparación con el Riú Kukulkán!. 3ª- ¡NO HAY DONDE COLGAR TOALLAS ADENTRO DE LA DUCHA!, tienes que agarrarlas desde el lavabo empapando el piso y muy peligroso el resbalarse, y en los 2 ganchos que hay para colgar están batas del hotel, se están cayendo y parchados con pedazos de tapiz (muy naco ), como de hotelucho barato, ¡no hay más donde colgar las toallas mojadas y los trajes de baño!, ¡FATAL Y MUY MOLESTO SE ME HIZO ESE DETALLE!, también había leído malas críticas de huéspedes que les ha tocado bañarse con agua fría, ¡y una mañana me tocó a mí! , ¡jamás salió agua caliente!, y la regadera para abrirse durísima, los focos de los espejos fundidos, los lavabos yo creo están tapados porque sonaban muy feo cuando se iba el agua, la taza del baño como para niños, casi en el piso, y vieja, con la tapadera de plástico que se atora y cuando la bajas rechina horrible, no hay privacidad para la persona que se quiere arreglar en el tocador y la otra bañándose, las persianas del baño, no cierran bien, se vuelven abrir solas. 4ª- La terrible condensación que se forma en la habitación cuando abres el balcón porque el AC no para de funcionar, el piso empapado, peligroso, y el ruido terrible en la puerta, tuvimos que tirar una toalla para callarlo; la ropa y lo demás húmedo, lo que en el Riú Kukulkán NO SUCEDE. 5ª- ¡La TACAÑEES en la comida!, POR EL DINERO QUE PAGAS....., ¡FATAL!, me impresionó cuando fuimos a comer unos tacos de pescado al Azzur (creo que es el nombre del restaurante si no me equivoco), unos tacos de pescado frito NECESITAN un aderezo cremoso encima, o salsa cremosa porque son secos y más con el repollo, ahí dice que vienen con aderezo de chipotle, que es una untada como de un dedo a un lado del plato para los 3 tacos, ¡nada más!...........pedí más aderezo, jamás lo trajeron, pedí salsas y me trajeron una de habanero en un miserable contenedor de menos de un centímetro con la mitad de salsa, pedí otras porque mi marido y mi mamá no comen habanero....y el mesero dijo: ¡NO HAY SALSAS, SÓLO TABASCO! , ¿en Cancún México NO HAY SALSAS? , ¡NO LO PODÍA CREER! , ¡y los tacos estaban buenísimos!, pero sin aderezo, ni salsa NO, los limones casi cortados en 20 pedacitos, pero te dan sólo te dan 3, otra, mi marido pidió unos waffles con pollo eran como para un niño, con 2 tiras de pollo, como que todo muy medido, muy poco de todo, el guacamole también te dan un miseria, vuelves a pedir y jamás te traen, como si estuvieras en una degustación, nosotros acostumbrados al bufet y los restaurantes del Riu Kukulkán donde hay de TODO, en grandes cantidades, ¡y el Live Aqua muy mal!, lo que si me fascinó fueron los "chilaquiles griegos", y el pollo asado afuera, ¡a mi marido le fascinó al igual que las costillas!; en el bufet NO puedes disponer del tocino que deseas , ¡TODO DEMASIADO MEDIDO EN LA COMIDA!, y por el dinero que pagas NO se me hizo justo. 5ª- Y la última, ¡qué frías las albercas redondas! , nos dijo un empleado que la única que usa caldera es la grande, desilusión porque están padrísimas, sobretodo la que está con vista al mar, y todavía después del dineral que pagas, ¡tienes que rentar las cabanas! , o sea no es ALL INCLUSIVE!. My wife and I recently stayed at this resort for our 30th year wedding anniversary. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with warm, welcoming, smiles, and the concierge came over and introduced himself and gave us nice cool moist scented towels for our faces. It was so refreshing and a nice touch! Our concierge, Abel was so friendly and welcoming to us. He explained everything about the hotel, where everything was located, the restaurants, things to do, and even gave us a free 2 hours couples massage and a free day use of a cabana. in exchange for listening to a sales presentation about joining their resorts discount program. Well, at first I was so not wanting to do this at all. I kept thinking of these high-pressure timeshare program sales presentations. But my wife and I really wanted to do the two hours couples massage so we bit the bullet and did it. I'm so glad we did because it was so worth the hour that we listened to the presentation. There was no high-pressure tactics whatsoever and although their offer was tempting, we just politely declined and that was it! No hard feelings or no awkwardness or anything .They gave us the vouchers just as they promised, shook our hands, smiled and told us it was a pleasure to meet with us. Everybody at the hotel from the registration staff, to the housekeeping staff, to the restaurant staff are also pleasant. They always smile and make eye contact with you no matter where you are. You could just be walking through the corridor and come across a resort employee, and they'll smile and greet you and ask you how you are enjoying your stay so far. They really do treat you like VIPs at this establishment. There are many restaurants there and we went to just about all of them as they were all inclusive except for one which was not all inclusive. We enjoyed every restaurant where we went to, and I did do reviews on those. The pools are fantastic. They have several pools and our favorites were the Swim up bar pool and the infinity pool. The poolside drinks I discovered were not very strong. Although you can request regular cocktails and those do seem to be stronger, the fruity tropical drinks seem to be pretty weak in comparison. A lot of times I would just order the beer and that way I knew I was getting the alcohol content that I wanted. The resort is literally right on the beach and it makes it so nice to be able to walk down from the swimming pool area right down onto the beach and walk out to the ocean and jump in the water. They have cabana's and Beach recliners there that you can reserve and rent or if they're not being used, you could just grab one as we did. There is the problem with the seaweed on the beach, but it didn't bother us. I found the seaweed is to be dry and not slimy and ipretty short stemmed, kind of like mini bonsai plants? But it doesn't really matter what hotel you stay at in Cancun this will be an issue. They do have the outdoor showers for when you do come off of the beach you can wash all the sand, and any seaweed that you might've collected in your swimming trunks off of you. There's even complementary soap, shampoo and conditioner there as well! All in all a fantastic five star stay and we can't wait to go back to this hotel again. Visited at the end of March to attend a wedding at the resort property. We scheduled local transportation which was a breeze coming from the airport to the resort. Our luggage was immediately checked in and we were able to check in even arriving early around 11 am. Our particular room was ready and we checked and our luggage was promptly dropped off. We stayed in an oceanfront room which had a beautiful view with a seating area inside and on the balcony. The room and bathroom were very clean and well stocked. I like the aromatherapy touch in the resort and in our rooms being able to choose which scent you wanted was very nice. I loved the separation of the toilet and shower by a wall and doors for privacy when using either. The water pressure and water temperature in the shower was great although there was some water draining from the shower during use. We would generally put a foot towel down to contain the water. The room was serviced twice daily so we were never without towels, etc. I also utilized the laundry service which was reasonably priced for three pieces of clothing and it was returned the next day. The staff was generally very courteous and helpful (we only had one less than courteous experience with a waiter at the Hidden Garden on our last evening). The food at the restaurants and by the beach and pool area was great - I cannot say enough about the fresh fruit and the grilled ribs and chicken so well seasoned and cooked with flavor. We ate daily in Siete for breakfast (the smoothie station you will need to go to first because it fills up because the smoothies are sooo good). We also dined at Hidden Garden where I enjoyed Indian cuisine which was delicious (but a small portion). All inclusive so it was nice not having to continually carry payment and only the gratuity needed for the staff. The last two mornings of our stay there appeared to be construction in the room next door or our floor which was disturbing - we did alert the front desk staff and it would generally stop around a certain time. Getting beds and chairs at the beach was generally easy but for the pool it was the hunger games usually having to place towels or bags on chairs early to 'reserve' them (there are no reservations for chairs only for the larger cabanas for an additional fee) We also experienced the spa which was amazing. Highly recommend visiting during your stay. The spa ritual is so relaxing and the couples massage in a combined room was great. Would definitely stay again. $$$ read more

I haven't been back to Cancun since college so 25 years ago. This place was the perfect 5 day, 4 night getaway in early November. We even got to celebrate dia de muertos. We reserved an ocean view room and they gave us a lobby floor room. Plus--didn't have to take much elevators, they gave us some perks to replace what we didn't get. Con - it's loud at night until at least 10 pm with the nearby bar. I'd probably opt for the highest floor next time instead of the perks. The place is a nice size with several restaurants, enough pools and space without the crowd of a lot of people. We easily got pool loungers. We played bingo twice, enjoyed pool aerobics, and someone hired a DJ at the small pool with the swim up bar. The breakfast buffet everyday was perfect. All the servers were kind, fun and attentive. We got a butler, who reserved our restaurant tables and answered our questions. First time having one so not sure what else they do. The location is nice because it across the street from the mall. I personally loved how they were constantly cleaning the bathrooms lol. So the floors were not wet or sandy from the beach or pool. All the restaurants were so good. Quick 20 minute or so trip from the airport. We had an amazing time. I can't wait to come back! read more
This is a review of our 5 Day, 4 Night stay at Live Aqua Cancún.b Service: The overall service was exceptional, a 5 Star experience, the staff is extremely attentive to the customer needs, always willing to go the extra step to ensure a great stay. Everyone was very helpful, making recommendations, ensuring everything was perfect or as close as it could be. Nearly all the staff spoke English or could quickly get someone to translate. Upon arrival we were met at the front door, staff Welcomed us, secured our luggage and escorted us to the front desk. We quickly got checked in and were escorted to our room, after an unfortunate delay. The only negative was the staff member with Fiesta Americana, she was initially very helpful, explaining the resort layout, pools, restaurants, activities, etc. I had commented several times it was a long day, we both were hungry and really wanted to get settled in. Instead we got the sales pitch regarding their membership club. Honestly, if that chat had not happened and it could have happened organically it would've gone much differently. Accommodations: The rooms are well maintained, very clean, with a modern feel. They provide each guest with a bathrobe, slippers, there is a pool bag and a rubber duck, you can keep the duck and slippers. There is a mini fridge that is stocked daily, and if you ask for something specifically, the staff will gladly ensure you have it. The only negative was our room was located on the mezzanine level, above the night club, so we heard that each evening. This might not bother someone visiting for the night life, that just isn't us. Restaurants/Dinning: When we arrived, we were both hungry and unfortunately because of the forementioned delay we ended up at the Sea Corner restaurant, as they were preparing to close. It apparently was the only thing still open, so it was our only option at that time. I ordered the fish and octopus tacos, it was very disappointing and we did not give it a second look on this trip. For breakfast, we primarily ate at the Siete buffet, which has an assortment of options. We especially enjoyed the freshly made omelette or scramble, along with toast and yogurt. One of the truly enjoyable experiences both from an entertainment aspect as well as flavor was the smoothie station. There are so many options, so we simply said I would like something like and just let the staff do their magic. We did also have breakfast one morning at Azur, I had the chicken waffles and she had the big cakes breakfast. It was good, but honestly, the buffet was better due to the options available. For lunch we tried and found to be the best food we ate on our visit was at the barbecue available mid day just off the Main pool area. They offered barbecue ribs, chicken and chorizo, along with steamed vegetables, white rice, and a salad bar, absolutely awesome. We tried the Sushi Station one evening, it was OK, she wouldn't eat it. It was comparable to supermarket sushi. So we also tried the room service, the pizza was not good, undercooked. The Chicken Club sandwich was again OK. MB was our last night dinner experience, it was also extremely good, the food was all amazing, you must try the habanero soup, has a hint of heat, but mostly great flavor. The filet mignon and salmon steak were perfectly prepared with exceptional flavor. As this is an included restaurant with the stay, I could easily see it being a nightly experience. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try Varenna the Italian restaurant or Azur for dinner. Hopefully on our next visit, Carnivore is not included in the resort package, we thought about going one night but chose MB instead, best decision for the cost (included so no extra) Pools and Ocean: They have a total of seven pools, each having a slightly different temperature. The Infiniti pool looks out over the beachfront and ocean, it was slightly cooler than the Main pool, still very comfortable. The Main pool stretches the length in front of the resort, it felt warm almost like bath water. There is a pool bar off one side, with music at times, it was normally crowded. They have several activities throughout the day in the main pool, such as pool fitness or bingo, led by resort staff. One evening they had a Circus show with a Buffet Dinner, greatly enjoyed the show, missed the dinner but it looked good. During our stay, it was what they call red flag days, not really sure what that means because we saw several people going into the ocean, and the lifeguard simply watched to ensure nothing bad happened. The beach itself is a beautiful white sand, extremely well maintained and free of seaweed or any debris. Sorry unable to add pictures, I have tried for 3 days. read more

My spouse and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Live Aqua. The property is stunning, the staff was exceptionally attentive, and the food was delicious. The spa was fantastic, offering step-by-step guidance through the dry sauna, steam room, and both warm and cool pools-such a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The hotel sits right on the beach with breathtaking views and features several pools, including one with a fun swim-up bar. Dining options were excellent, with several restaurants to choose from, including Mediterranean, Mexican, buffet, Asian, sushi, steakhouse, and American cuisine. Our room was fantastic, with a rainfall shower, comfortable beds, prompt housekeeping, 24-hour room service, and turn-down service. We also enjoyed live entertainment and a night club on the property, yet it remained wonderfully quiet when we wanted to relax. We loved the aromatherapy --it was such a thoughtful touch. The location is very convenient: close to a pharmacy, just across the street from a shopping mall with a mix of upscale and casual dining and shops, and only 10-15 minutes from Cancun's vibrant club zone. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. read more

Loved loved loved this resort. I believe I went during non-peak time (early April 2023) and the resort was not packed at all. It's not a large resort but very manageable. The resort activities are mediocre compared to others but honestly it didn't bother me. I did enjoy the silent disco party. The rooms were very clean, inviting and modern. Some of the cute room amenities were the bedroom slippers and comfy robes, the beach slippers and the beach bag (pictured) to use during your stay. There are many restaurant options to choose from; with only one Carnivorous, being an additional charge. All other restaurants were inclusive. The food is well plated and beautiful! They definitely take their time with presentation. The food is also delicious. My fave was the SeaCorner restaurant! The cocktails however, were way too sweet, that was the general consensus with our group. With 4 pool options, a jacuzzi and the immaculate beach, you have many areas to enjoy the sun. The spa experience was also wonderful. Of course it's an added cost but the hydrotherapy is included in all spa packages. You definitely can miss the candle massage. I'm not sure how it differentiates from the other massages; it felt like a regular massage. The hotel is on the strip if you decide to venture out and it is steps away from a Luxury mall. This was my first all inclusive beach resort experience, and it was nothing short of amazing. Live Aqua is for adults only. Our room type was the Premium Aqua Club Front, which gives you extra access to the VIP lounge and personal butler. Let's talk about these amenities! *VIP lounge: To be honest , we only used the VIP lounge twice to grab some quick hors d'oeuvre and dessert. They do have a nice bar, and will offer you champagne upon arrival. It's a nice area to chat and relax away from the crowd. *Personal butler: Our butler mainly communicated to us via WhatsApp. It was convenient to text them any questions/requests. Kudos to the butler for making us dinner reservations. I really love the daily text that details all the available restaurants, hours, and activities for the day. Now on to the inclusive info regardless of room type. *Gym: They have a very nice gym that includes cardio machines (elliptical, treadmill, stationary bikes), smith machine, dumbbells, and other weight machines. I'm in love with their unique cable machines on the back wall - make sure to check this out. *Pools: There are multiple pools throughout the resort. My favorite is the infinity pool, which gives you the perfect view of the beach. Each pool is not deep; the water goes up to the chest level at most. There are lots of lounge chairs. For certain pool cabanas, you will need to pay an extra fee to reserve. If you're interested in water aerobics, it's a fun activity that includes loud music and dancing. *Bars: It's easy to get a drink all over the resort. They have bars throughout the place. For example, there's a bar by Azur restaurant and Siete restaurant. Workers will also stop by to offer you a drink when you're hanging out at the pool. At night, you can also to Egos bar for some karaoke. *Starbucks: Yes, they do have Starbucks here! It's located inside the gift shop. The awesome part is it's included in the package. Menu may be limited, but it's a fast way to get your dose of caffeine and pastry. *Food: As a foodie, I'm tempted to write an entire essay on this, but will refrain and do individual restaurant reviews later. They have a variety of cuisines. You can get Italian at Varenna, Mediterranean at Azur, seafood at Sea Corner, Mexican at Siete, etc. For those desiring to stay in the rooms or missed the operating hours of the restaurant, don't fret. They have room service, and will deliver the food right to you. The delivered food was amazing along with the presentation. One of my favorites was the margherita pizza - so crunchy and cheesy. The hubby loved his fresh ceviche. Overall, the food is about a 3.5 to 4 stars, but the service across the board puts it at a 5 star. *Beach: Take advantage of the beautiful beach at the resort. Plenty of people walking or running along the beach. They also have swings and hammocks for a quick break. You can't beat the warm, clear water and beautiful sunset here. The resort is located along the hotel zone. There are a lot of tourists walking along the street. It's easy to walk to the mall, which is conveniently located across the street. We were also able to hop on the bus to go the the flea market and Playa Tortugas to take the ferry to Isla Mujeres. You can't get lost finding that red bus taking you down one road for $1 per person. We went at the end of January, and the temperature was around the mid 70-80s. It will occasionally rain for 20-30 mins, then stop. Are you kidding? This place is like no other other really engulf what hospitality is especially the food the beverages and overall service. One for the bucks the views are beautiful. The ocean was clean and although my mentality was party party party really it was drink pool go to bed and I'm not mad at that.. however I will say it was kind surprising the music they played in every are was very American and not at all party vibes close to moderate spa tunes which had me a little taken back. Other than it was amazing and I'd. Recommend to anyone who is looking for a romantic get away this is a must read more

Visited Live Aqua with a group of 8 people for my 40th birthday September 2025. We had the BEST time! The property and rooms are clean, service was exceptional, food was great and lots of options! They had grills going each day around the pools with anything from ribs to tacos, and my favorite was the empanada lady that came around. The swim up bar had a party from 4-6pm with a DJ, and the rest of the pool was pretty relaxed. There was a good mix of people from group celebrations to couples vacations. They had different activities each night including a silent disco, karaoke and casino night. They excel in making moments memorable, and did a fantastic job decorating my room! Standout service was our server David at the pool, Flavio who coordinated our dinners and cabanas, and Ricky the pool entertainer! I highly recommend Live Aqua and I will be back! read more
Friendly and helpful staff. Multiple food options for various times of the day including 24 hour room service. The resort was clean and we would definitely stay again. We stayed in the terrace room and had a beautiful patio area and view of the beach. The dining restaurants for dinner are first come first serve unlike most resorts which have reservations. The biggest issue we had was the pools/beaches towel service stops at 6pm so you must have a towel before then. There are daily activities and they were enjoyable. It's also right across from the mall so you can easily do shopping. read more
We really had an awesome stay here at Live Aqua! This is our first time in Cancun and the bar has definitely been set for "All inclusive, Adults Only" resort when we decide to go back. The resort was well maintained and the restaurants were top notch! The pool with the swim-up bar can get busy...but you shouldn't have any issues getting your drink while on the bigger pools. The staff were friendly and responsive. Would definitely recommend this place if you're planning a trip to Cancun. Note that there is a fashion boutique mall right across the street and a luxury shopping center a couple of blocks down the road. We also recommend treating yourself and schedule some spa time while you're here. It's worth it. read more

My stay at Live Aqua was five stars from start to finish! Immediately upon arrival, it was clear that the staff was ready and willing to serve us with whatever we needed. From prompt check-ins for our group of thirteen and taking bags straight to our rooms, we were greeted with smiles and amazing attitudes. The same level of customer service was provided throughout the four day stay, from greeters, to bartenders, to room service, everyone we came into contact with spared no expense providing us with the best possible experience. Now, onto the food! I have read some mixed reviews on the resort here, but I am pleased to say the food was impressive! Our first dive in began at the Hidden Garden where we ordered quite literally one of everything! The wait staff was happy to oblige and even brought out a round of specially crafted cocktails that were not on the menu for the whole table while we waited on the first course. Every appetizer was a hit, but most notably with the group were the shrimp dumplings, duck bao buns, and spring rolls. The accompanying sauces for each dish were also great! Of main dishes, the Mango Thai seemed to be the overall favorite. We were celebrating both a bachelorette party and a birthday this night and each of the honorees was given a customized dessert plate with congratulatory messages which was a nice touch! I will not spend long on Siete, as it was an average meal and I only tried breakfast (was a nice touch that they put out champagne and vodka for a build your own mimosa/bloody mary bar) I learned from everyone else that room service breakfast far exceeded expectations but I preferred to get out of the room for a change of scenery! My favorite a la carte item had to be the burger and hot dog station we stumbled upon by accident. Boy, that thing hit the spot! MB is definitely a place for a more refined palate/look. The dishes were fine in flavor, but the draw here is definitely the beautifully constructed plates. The habanero soup was also the single best thing I ate on the entire trip! Sea Corner was a perfect pit stop just steps from the pool and the ceviche was so clearly fresh! I ordered two full bowls and I don't regret it! We booked two photoshoots with the resort during our stay- one felt a bit misplaced as the photos were taken inside the lobby and in awkward places, however, the pool/beach shoot was fantastic! Definitely a fun way to capture memories. The entire resort was beautiful and felt safe and welcoming, though we went for a celebration getaway, this is a place I would love to return to for a relaxation vibe as it focuses largely on wellness. This includes touches like a zen garden/meditation chime in each room as well as a choice of what calming scent you would like in your room every morning. Lastly, a notable addition, during a mishap one of the mirrored doors in our room shattered on the first night. Upon immediately altering the staff, they did not bat an eye and swiftly moved us into a different room assuring us not to worry about the damage. It turned a scary situation into a calm one and we were able to move along and enjoy the rest of our stay without any malice from the staff. read more

I was a part of a work group that stayed at Live Aqua Resort and am already looking forward to my next visit. It was absolutely amazing. This was our first visit to an all-inclusive resort, as was revealed to our group when I asked for our check at an onsite restaurant. Ha! Food is included, you only pay for tips. Everything about this resort oozes luxury-the staff are friendly and accommodating, the facilities are beautifully maintained, the grounds and pools are gorgeous-what more could you want? A few things to note, for anyone considering coming here: * This is an adults-only resort, but doesn't really cater to the party crowd. Sure, there's limitless booze at the pool and some fun music played by the DJ, but the overall vibe is much more chill. And the late night scene is non-existent. * Most of the restaurants don't require reservations or have a dress code, with the exception of MB. Slacks are required. * Spend the extra money to rent a cabana. The pool is lovely, but after several hours in the sun, it loses it's appeal. A shady, comfy bed on the beach is a perfect solution. * Visit all of the restaurants. We found a favorite and stuck with it, and now I regret not venturing out to try more. * Take advantage of the activities. I took a mixology class and sort of participated in Bingo and aqua aerobics. All were fun and only a few people participated. * Bring cash for tips. Although you don't pay for food or drinks (they are included in the room rate), it's still appropriate to tip the staff that serves you. I saw too many people leave empty tables or not tip the bartender and that's just not cool. I'm afraid I may be ruined for other AI resorts-this one can't possibly be topped. read more

Had a really nice stay with my wife about a week ago. Hotel is only 20 minutes from the airport. Check in was smooth, and we were able to upgrade our room to an ocean view. Room upgrade came with preferred club access, which I recommend. It was nice to have a place to get out of the heat, have a snack/drink, and enjoy a great sunset view. Hotel is very clean and room service did a good job. For not being huge rooms, there was more than enough space for my wife and I. The grounds were gorgeous and very well maintained. One of the best beaches we've ever stay at. Sand was amazing. No rocks. Felt like you could walk out forever in the water. Pools were beautiful as well. Food. Sea Corner is great for lunch. Azure for breakfast is amazing, and solid for lunch with a great dining view. Breakfast buffet was one of the best I've had. Mexican restaurant, Siete, is a gem. Ate their twice and everything we had was amazing. Paella man in the afternoon, and taco bar at night are fantastic. Taco bar has some of the best chorizo I've ever had. Hidden garden was just ok. A lot of fried food with very little finesse. Verena, Italian restaurant, is a skip. Lunch and dinner were both meh at best. Service is good, but tipping, which I do daily and frequently, makes little difference. Transports. Don't use BD Experience through Costco. Travel to hotel was fine. Want to pick you up 4.5 hours before flight home. Totally not necessary, and BD won't respond to attempts to change the time. Spent $20 and took a cab back. Overall, a solid spot for a couples vacation. read more

Everything that I am about to say is all genuinely true. My boyfriend and I had such a great experience with Live Aqua that I didn't want to go home. Seriously. I cried twice the morning of check-out day lol. We stayed for 5 days total, 4 nights. We booked an all-inclusive stay, which I must say is very worth the price!!!! Since it was an all-inclusive stay, this meant we had unlimited drinks, food was free with no extra charge (unless you choose an item on the menu that has a price to it or you go to a restaurant that isn't included in the package), and even room service was freeeeee!!! This hotel is only all adults, no kids. We arrived to the hotel on Saturday at around 11am. We were greeted so nicely and welcoming! It felt like a dream that I didn't want to leave haha. Since we got there early our room wasn't ready yet, but we were able to use the amenities and eat at the restaurants/bars in the hotel. We were so hungry that we literally ate at 3 different restaurants for funsies before we got our room. I loved every bit of it! The hotel is pretty big so it didn't seem crowded at all, other than the pool of course since it's a lounging area. I believe the cabanas and other seats by the pool must be paid separately. I think it's worth it if you plan on relaxing for the entirety of your trip. If you plan on doing some excursions, someone by the pool can assist you. The staff member who assisted us was Elio and he was great! He confirmed all of our activities on specific days, booked our transportation, and made sure we were treated like royalty. Seriously though the staff made me feel like a Princess everyday. They even called me Princesa hehe. For my first time in Cancun, I'm really glad we chose Live Aqua as our first stay. Everyone was very accommodating, friendly, sweet, happy, and our room was just the cherry on top. I can't wait to take my parents and brother here in the future! read more

I'm going to keep this brief because there's no need to regurgitate what everyone else has said about this place. There are a few negatives. The elevators are slow and they misspelled the word bagel in the buffet. That's about it. Everything else is pretty much spectacular. The restaurants are beautiful, visually striking and serve amazing food. On-site restaurants don't take reservations but there's rarely a wait of more than 10 or 15 minutes. Staff is exceptional. They literally could not do more to have made our vacation perfect. One telling thing is that literally 90% of the people who we spoke to had been to the resort at least a few times before. That really says it all. I've been to many, many resorts, very few of which I would ever consider returning to. Not so here. Can't wait to go back. Kudos. 5 well deserved stars. read more

I came with a group of girls to Live Aqua for a triple bachelorette party. You heard me: triple bachelorette. What a fun destination for us to be! All-inclusive resort that's on the beach, tons of pools, fun excursions available to us, and all just down the street from some fun nightclubs! This was a really awesome resort with great food and great drinks. I would have loved more access to the cabanas - they seemed to get booked out several days in advance, so that made it tough for us to be able to get some shade. The cabanas down at the beach were a lot easier to book, but no food was allowed in that area. Can't complain though! Good food, good drinks, great price, and great fun! read more
