This was a really nice hotel. We stayed here as part of the room block for my friend's wedding. It was a short Uber to the train station, so it was easy to get around. The rooms were very cozy. Lots of space. Coffee maker, real glasses, microwave and a nice walk in shower. There was a hotel bar and restaurant, but we didn't try it out. They also let us check in a little early and we greatly appreciated that!

Stayed at this Marriott for business. This is a clean hotel. They don't have daily housekeeping service but if you need something you can call and get it. Conveniently located to the parkway and other popular areas. There is a small gym and indoor pool if you are interested. The hotel is close to the courts...sorry if that's why you are there. You can order dinner from the hotel cafe. They have a limited menu. There are several restaurants just a few miles from the hotel that you can grab food or there is always door dash...If you get delivery they are only allow to deliver to the lobby. Starbucks is served and they have breakfast if you are interested.

The first thing I want to say is the staff was very nice... but that's where I stopped being impressed. The first room I was given when I walked in the carpet on the floor was soaking wet. I was given another room and it had a wet smell...kinda like your in an indoor pool smell. Both the rooms I was first given were on the first floor and that is where the pool is so I asked for another room on a higher floor (plus I didn't like being on the first floor because when you have the curtains open you are looking right at the people walking in the parking lot). I got a room on the 2nd floor and to my surprise THAT ROOM ALSO HAD A SMELL. Even my 5 year old that was with me said something about the smell before I even had a chance to. But now we just moved rooms 3 times and all the rooms smelled so I figured this is what all the rooms must be like. The room has a cute couch and decent furniture but it definitely needs updating. Also there were stains on the walls and the peeling near the window. To be honest I probably would not stay here again.

This is by far one of the nicer hotels I've been able to find in this area. Even with that it is not quite at the level of a 4/5 star review. Overall the room was clean but there was a long hair on the towel in the bathroom and minor scratches/marks on the wall. But the bed/linens looked clean and they serve Starbucks in the lobby. So compared to other hotels around it is far superior and I would stay again.

King bed room with sofa bed. Modern decor, flat panel Smart TV's.

The restaurant staff is just as outstanding. Jocelyn, the Manager, sets the tone with her attentiveness and heart. She goes above and beyond to exceed our expectations and to make sure the restaurant is always running at a perfect 10. Jacob, the busboy, is always hustling with a smile, and servers Brandon, Max, and Charisse consistently deliver exceptional service with such professionalism and friendliness. The breakfast is exceptional. The buffet and made- to-cook food are equally delicious. The food is of high quality and fresh and delicious. There is something for everyone. A special thank you as well to Maria in housekeeping, who keeps everything spotless and comfortable, and to Michael, the General Manager, whose leadership clearly shines through in every detail of the experience. It's rare to find a team where every single person makes such an impact, but that's exactly what you'll find here. We are truly grateful for the care, kindness, and consistency this entire staff provides.

I thought o myself: 'No way that's from the elevator.' Well ... sometimes your paranoia is reality. I did strike it up to paranoia and got on the elevator. A lady was also on the elevator from a higher floor and we got off in the lobby. Not like that, bro. I didn't even know her. About that lobby departure, we exited (is that better?) and there was a crowd in the lobby complaining that they had been stuck in the elevator for 30 minutes. The staff told everyone not to go in the elevator. This would be like if you met an escort and didn't know it was an escort. You thought it was the girl next door that went to church four times per week, kept in touch with her family, and baked blueberry pie for homeless people. But you later found out the real her. With that info, you got checked out. All was good. And that meant you rode that elevator for free. Shaky and rattly one too. Absolute insanity. It must be the 4.2% abv Yuengling beer: a traditional lager! Btw, that freaking pool closes at 9 pm, and the casino around the corner is dumpier than Circus Circus in Las Vegas. The hotel gym is cool though. With all that info, if you stay here, you're an idiot. Have a nice day.

Specious room with kitchen and living area which is perfect for family and business trip like me. Plenty of parking spaces which is a plus. We had a king bed studio room and the room was the perfect size for our extended stay. We were traveling with our baby and we were able to fit a pack and play, all of our luggage, the stroller, and had plenty of room to comfortably move around. The kitchen had a full size fridge/freezer, sink, microwave, stovetop, and basic cooking and eating necessities. The room and common areas of the hotel were clean and well-maintained. All of the staff we interacted with were extremely friendly, professional, and welcoming. The hotel had a decent array of free breakfast each morning. They also had an indoor pool, basketball hoop, and plenty of parking. The hotel is also right around the corner from the Long Island Ducks field. They ended up playing while we were visiting, so we made an impromptu trip to watch a game and had a quick and easy walk to the stadium. Our stay at the Residence Inn Long Island Islip/Courthouse Complex was more than we expected. We would definitely return in the future if the price was right.

So I go on Google to leave my review for the Hollywood Motel in Farmingdale, and the FIRST thing that pops up is this news article saying TWO MEN WERE FOUND UNALIVE IN THE JACUZZI. HUH?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! That's the SAME room we stayed in! We were literally sitting in that nasty old crusty jacuzzi like it was nothing. It wasn't even remodeled or replaced. So you're telling me two people died in that tub, they bodies were found soaking in there, and y'all just cleaned it up and rented the room back out like nothing ever happened? Ain't no way. I don't even care if they bleached that thing a thousand times. The thought alone got me sick to my stomach. I'm sitting here replaying it in my head and getting goosebumps. I would've NEVER gotten in that jacuzzi if I knew what happened in that room. Isn't there some kind of law where you gotta tell people somebody died in the room? Or at least remodel the place or rip that old jacuzzi out! Instead it's the same busted, ancient tub looking like it's been there since the '80s. I'm dead serious... I don't think I'm sleeping for a month after finding this out. This whole place creeped me out before I knew the story, and now it all makes sense. Never again. One of the most disturbing motel experiences l've ever had. One star is being generous.

The desk and cabinets are noticeably tired and old, and the ceilings are still popcorn (aren't those the ceilings accompanied by asbestos warnings?). The room you first walk into consists of an L-couch, coffee table, TV, desk, and kitchenette with stovetop and a full size refrigerator. The towels are rough and not at all fluffy. The toiletries in the bathroom consist of a bar of soap, and pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower (tea tree shampoo, lemon sage conditioner and body wash). Strangely, the toiletries do NOT include lotion. They no longer carry lotion, I was told, as of about a year and a half ago. So if you are prone to dry skin (which I am), BRING YOUR OWN LOTION. I did call the front desk to request some, and they were able to scrounge up a couple residual bottles which they kindly brought up to our room. A luggage stand is another item (other than body lotion) noticeably missing in the room. The bed is uncomfortable (too bouncy), and for some reason, in a one bedroom suite, is queen rather than king sized. The pillows are hard. The sheets/blanket were very strange. There is a flat sheet, and then an extremely thin blanket (no duvet cover). Overall, the bed left much to be desired. In the room we stayed in, there is a small locked closet which houses the heater. It was EXTREMELY loud every time it went on (which it often did, as it is winter, and we kept the thermostat at 73F). If you are a light sleeper I would imagine that this would be a problem. It's unreasonably loud.
