We stayed here for 5 days. We were very pleased with this location. From start to finish the entire staff was wonderful. Always a kind word and helpful. We got a king room and it had a big couch and plenty of room to move around. We even utilized the indoor pool once or twice at end of day to unwind. I have family we came to visit and they came to hotel first night and we had few drinks from lobby bar our on back patio. Lots of tables and lounging areas inside and out. They had few fire tables made it nice when it was cool that first night we got in. The bar has a few food options and has coffee and breakfast in mornings. Oh and the shower in our room was huge and had plenty of shampoo conditioner and shower gel. read more

This was a really nice hotel. We stayed here as part of the room block for my friend's wedding. It was a short Uber to the train station, so it was easy to get around. The rooms were very cozy. Lots of space. Coffee maker, real glasses, microwave and a nice walk in shower. There was a hotel bar and restaurant, but we didn't try it out. They also let us check in a little early and we greatly appreciated that! read more

Stayed at this Marriott for business. This is a clean hotel. They don't have daily housekeeping service but if you need something you can call and get it. Conveniently located to the parkway and other popular areas. There is a small gym and indoor pool if you are interested. The hotel is close to the courts...sorry if that's why you are there. You can order dinner from the hotel cafe. They have a limited menu. There are several restaurants just a few miles from the hotel that you can grab food or there is always door dash...If you get delivery they are only allow to deliver to the lobby. Starbucks is served and they have breakfast if you are interested. read more

Place is clean and setup as a typical Courtyard but the walls are thin and you pretty much hear everything in the next room. During our stay it was obvious people were smoking in their rooms, both cigarettes and pot. Hotel staff did little to police it unless someone complained. Nothing really in walking distance so plan to drive if you want food. The restaurant in the hotel is available and ok but you will pay for the convenience. read more

CJ was incredibly accommodating and attentive to our best friends bachelorette party; we stayed here overnight before going out to the wineries as a group of 10+ and he made it super easy for us to get extra towels and pillows. Beautifully decorated courtyard; updated rooms and lobby. Upon entering I was immediately greeted by the front desk supervisor and began the check in process. It was pretty fast ( although my request for a top floor submitted very early in the day was not honored). She even went the extra mile of coming from behind the desk to hand me the key. The only complaint I have regarding check in is the reservation was not acknowledged for elite member or offered the welcome gift or poInts. The room was nice and clean. Beautifully decorated with the newer courtyard designs. The floors are not very soundproof so just take that into account when requesting a certain floor. Showers now have the big bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel within the shower area. Only thing you have to bring is lotion/oil/moisturizer lol. TV was off to the side of the bed and was able to swivel around if needed. I loved all of the lighting options in the room and the recess lights above the bed #winning. I hate dark hotel rooms but this room has at least 5 options for lights. Fridge in the room actually kept my items cold (some Marriotts have horrible fridges). Gym: good size. Two treadmills, elliptical, and some other fun machine, and weights. The Bistro: Eh save ur coins. It was packed so I thought I was in for a good deal. Ordered the bistro burger and fries. The burger itself tasted cheap/poor quality beef and the bun added nothing special. Could have went to Burger King or Wendy's and have a better and cheaper meal. read more

Horrible hospitality. Sat here and not greeted by none of the two employees. Lady watched me stand there for 8 minutes and then asked me if I was checking in. Mind you, i'm trying to buy a block of rooms. Sad to loose out on business due to poor customer service. If the customer service is that bad. I would believe the rooms are dirty. read more

Our stay at the Courtyard by Marriott was great. Check-in was easy when we got in on a Friday night. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. Extra towels were promptly brought up to our room when requested. Room heated up to our desired temperature quickly once we set it. Breakfast not included in the nightly rate, but other than that, we had no complaints. There is a bistro bar in the lobby where you can buy breakfast and Starbucks coffee. Would definitely stay here again next time we return to the area. read more

The new front desk receptionist named Cynthia does not know what is going on at all and should be fired from her job. She doesn't know how to do it properly. I paid over $3000 for two weeks stay and she told me that I would have to make the payment when I made it in advance. Anyway I drove 24 hours. The first thing I want to say is the staff was very nice... but that's where I stopped being impressed. The first room I was given when I walked in the carpet on the floor was soaking wet. I was given another room and it had a wet smell...kinda like your in an indoor pool smell. Both the rooms I was first given were on the first floor and that is where the pool is so I asked for another room on a higher floor (plus I didn't like being on the first floor because when you have the curtains open you are looking right at the people walking in the parking lot). I got a room on the 2nd floor and to my surprise THAT ROOM ALSO HAD A SMELL. Even my 5 year old that was with me said something about the smell before I even had a chance to. But now we just moved rooms 3 times and all the rooms smelled so I figured this is what all the rooms must be like. The room has a cute couch and decent furniture but it definitely needs updating. Also there were stains on the walls and the peeling near the window. To be honest I probably would not stay here again. read more

Meth-head sex party with whores on one side of my room and on the other wall a roomful of what sounded like orangutans dancing to a very loud beat and an electronic version of Twister complete with a hip-hop theme. The girl at the front desk seemed genuinely afraid to call security on the orangutan-o-phones. She finally got the courage to do so, twice, after I nicely called her , twice. Poor thing. This is by far one of the nicer hotels I've been able to find in this area. Even with that it is not quite at the level of a 4/5 star review. Overall the room was clean but there was a long hair on the towel in the bathroom and minor scratches/marks on the wall. But the bed/linens looked clean and they serve Starbucks in the lobby. So compared to other hotels around it is far superior and I would stay again. read more

The Courtyard by Marriott Long Island is less than an hour away from NYC and roughly 20 minutes from MacArthur airport A newer Marriott property, opening in January of 2018, it has all the amenities you come to expect from a Marriott property. This hotel offers spacious guest rooms with smart televisions, FREE wireless internet, and good sized work spaces. Their Bistro includes Starbucks coffee and is open for breakfast and dinner with a bar for after work cocktails. Downtown East Islip is just a few short miles from the hotel and I would suggest you spend an afternoon/evening, dining shopping and strolling this quaint downtown's main street. I stayed 4 nights at this hotel for a personal trip that I paid for myself (no points used). I booked directly through the Marriott website. Two years ago I had previously stayed at the Residence Inn next door and this hotel was in the process of being built. This hotel was a bit cheaper than the Residence Inn, so I booked here. Location Right off the Southern State Parkway, so it is easy to get to and from her no matter where you want to go (and I went in all directions during my 5 days on Long Island). Room The room (432) was a nice size with 2 double beds. There is a small chair and ottoman and a table/desk with an office chair. A large TV in the room mounted to the wall, with the usual channels. The room looked relatively new. I found the bed and pillows to be very comfortable. I could not regulate the room temperature. It never got cooler than 67 even though I was lowering it to 66 (as low as it would go). I could not get the fan to stay on constantly. The hvac was very noisy. It would click on with several clicks and a swoosh of water somewhere and click off the same way. There are very bright lights outside as this room overlooks the pool. Even trying a few things to keep the curtain closed, it still let in a lot of light. Bathroom The bathroom has one sink and plenty of counter area for all of my makeup, hair and toiletry needs. There is shower/tub behind a shower curtain. The toilet, sink and shower are in one room with a door. Check In Check-in was okay. My room was ready. Hotel Staff The other hotel staff I interacted with were very friendly. Housekeeping did a good job on the days that I requested service and were friendly to speak with. Parking There is an open lot all around the hotel. There were a series of wedding guests staying at this hotel during the weekend and so it was very crowded in the evening and morning for breakfast. Noise I never heard a thing, it was really quiet, except for the noisy AC. Safety/Security Other than the ballpark and these 2 hotels, there is nothing in site but wooded areas. I didn't go out late at night, so I don't know if the doors lock or if they have any type of security staff at night. Restaurant/Breakfast I had dinner one night and had the burger and fries. Decent for not having to go out. GPS/Cell Phone/Internet My gps worked fine getting around the entire area and got me to the correct location every time. Cell phone service was perfect everywhere in the hotel. Hotel free wifi worked fine for my needs to check email and Facebook. Due to the noisy AC, I will stay at the Residence Inn next time. Had a wonderful experience. The hotel opened in January 2018 and smelled new. Friendly. Has a pool and work out room. The hotel is next door to Bethpage ballpark where the Long Island Ducks play. Lots of good restaurants nearby. The desk people are helpful. An old state hospital, opened in the late 1880s housing over 10,000 residents, is down the street and worth driving around since these "farm" institutions are a thing of the past. Lots of walk by areas. Note that Courtyards do not provide a free breakfast. Coffee is in the room and there's a frig and microwave. read more

This hotel could definitely use a change in staffing or training. The check in process was ok, but the host didn't ask for amenities (especially if you are a higher member). Oh well, not a deal breaker. Then, I requested a late check out, but that didn't register with her. I went down the next morning and asked for a late checkout, and she said ok. Well, about 1130 housekeeping comes in, and she said nobody told her. I can tell they are updating it, and it looks great, but communication goes a long ways in hospitality. read more

I set a wedding block here for my upcoming wedding on the 14th of March. I dealt directly with Julianne who was extremely helpful straight out of the gate. She took the time on call to go through the contract with me and explain how the process worked. She also let me know that I could reach out to her by email or phone at any time, which I took her up on! Now literally 3 days away from our wedding date, my fiancee and I came to the difficult decision to cancel given the circumstances around the covid-19 outbreak. Julianne and her team were so understanding and compassionate during our difficult time. With only days remaining till the bookings, they easily understood that due to the extreme circumstances of our situation were very accomodating to our guests and us. They also took the time to provide us some advice in dealing with the situation as a whole which they did not have to do at all! Our next steps are not yet determined but if a postponement of our event occurs in the same area, this is where our block will be! Thanks Marriott team! read more

Room was clean and comfortable and the price was right. But we were unable to sleep well both nights here because of rude, noisy "guests" apparently having a party in the next room. After calling the front desk multiple times, nothing was done. They just said "it's Saturday and we're getting a lot of noise complaints". So apparently they consider this normal. If you want to be obnoxious and inconsiderate, stay here. If you want a good night's sleep or helpful staff, look elsewhere. read more

This review is strictly for the lobby bar/restaurant, if it even qualifies as one. First and foremost is the absolute lack of service. We waited over 15 minutes, all the while being told they would be with us shortly, before we walked out to drive to a local pub so that we didn't perish from dehydration and hunger. Their selection in both libations and menu items is terrible and the food is even worse (picture 7-11 or AM-PM quality). Needless to say we will not be waiting around for this low grade dog food. read more

No wifi for the entire duration of my stay. I specifically reserved a hotel to work on a project and there was no wifi. (Yes, it is a complimentary service, but the hotel advertised it as an available amenity.) So I used my cell phone's data plan and was charged $15 for an overage. Plus, a desk smelled like Clorox. We stayed here for a birthday getaway, but only 30 min from home. It's a very attractive property. Very pleasingly furnished. The lobby was very inviting and the desk staff was excellent. They were very friendly and helpful. Upon hearing that it was my birthday, they kicked it into high gear by comping us each a b-day drink. "Thanks staff". The room was wonderful, large and attractively furnished. I chose this location due to its proximity to Bethpage ballpark. We walked to the game and returned to our home base very happy. Should I ever need to stay in central-ish Suffolk again, this Courtyard will be my first consideration. read more

The location is in a pretty decent spot it's quiet. Rooms were well kept could clean the corners a little better. The bed was a little uncomfortable though could update the beds. House keeping was a little pushy I get they want to do their job but after a long flight I don't feel like being rushed out of my room. I'm writing a review because I wish I knew before i chose to stay here. The room appeared clean but there were flies in the room. Yes 3 flies. I asked for a different room. I was accommodated and put in a different room. I was unable to sleep because of the noise. There were people in the room next door playing loud music. I reported them and was advised they would check it out. The noise went on for an hour after that. The hotel is across from a court house. So all walks of life are hanging out in the lobby all night. Smokers infront of the hotel. I wish i would have know before i was locked in for a 2 night stay. Dreaded going back to the room. What was suppose to be a weekend of rest turned into a horrible sleepless nightmare. read more
