The first thing I need to tell you is that I waited for the elevator the on the 8th floor the day I checked out and there were metal pieces and joints on the floor next to the elevator. I thought o myself: 'No way that's from the elevator.' Well ... sometimes your paranoia is reality. I did strike it up to paranoia and got on the elevator. A lady was also on the elevator from a higher floor and we got off in the lobby. Not like that, bro. I didn't even know her. About that lobby departure, we exited (is that better?) and there was a crowd in the lobby complaining that they had been stuck in the elevator for 30 minutes. The staff told everyone not to go in the elevator. This would be like if you met an escort and didn't know it was an escort. You thought it was the girl next door that went to church four times per week, kept in touch with her family, and baked blueberry pie for homeless people. But you later found out the real her. With that info, you got checked out. All was good. And that meant you rode that elevator for free. Shaky and rattly one too. Absolute insanity. It must be the 4.2% abv Yuengling beer: a traditional lager! Btw, that freaking pool closes at 9 pm, and the casino around the corner is dumpier than Circus Circus in Las Vegas. Another work getaway in the books and this time much closer to home. Such an easy trip to and from Windwatch rather than Montauk. My trip was decent but there were a couple of snafus during my stay: 1) Elevators were painfully slow. I mean painful. 2) Shower was not too hot in the morning. 3) Marketplace and front desk staff missing. Granted it was a little late but some wanted more beers and/or semi mixed drinks and I'm not sure how things were paid. Just overheard conversation about it. 4) Final morning the fire alarms were going off and they sent us outside. Oddly enough staff came outside with a coffee cart with to go cups and the accoutrements to go with hot bevvies. Will I be back? Perhaps? It's up to my job for 2026? My bed was okay and the heat was good in my room. Food from the restaurant was mediocre at best. read more

I really tried to look for good aspects of this hotel but even giving a one star is too generious. Firstly, this place is huge, barely had signs or maps and despite having three elevators only one was working. Staff claimed that the elevators were currently being worked on but I didn't see not one worker or any work being done on them over three days. Since only one elevator was functional staff said we could use the service elevator which was helpful since it took so long for the one working elevator to arrive. I waited over 10 minutes several times for the elevator before I just started using the service elevator. Since the place is so big they had multiple events happening at the same times all weekend. Like two weddings a convention and a whole child's baseball team event? Which only made the elevator wait times longer and people packing into elevators. Also there's a bar that seemed overcrowded all the time and then all the rude drunk people on the elevators were unbearable. Not to mention how loud the place was even when i was in the room with the tv on i could still hear people screaming, loud conversations, and playing music in the hallway, as well as in the rooms next to mine. Then the room wasn't fully cleaned and neither was the rest of the building. There were chocolate covered strawberries sitting out on the floor in the hallway as well as opned bags of trash for at least three days. (Was there when I arrived and still sitting there when I left) There was someone elses hair in the shower and in the sink, no fan in the bathroom and barely any water pressure in the shower. The air conditioner didn't work well and barely cooled down the room. The whole hotel was hot, humid, and musty especially the elevator and hallways. The room itself was musty smelling, tables, rugs, and lamps were dirty with food or finger prints. There were several stains on the sheets thankfully I bring my own blankets but I barely slept due to the horribly hard and too firm mattress. I tossed and turned all night because my body would actually hurt from laying on the bed. I literally had to spend time in the morning and before trying to sleep doing yoga and stretching cause my body was in so much pain and so stiff from the horrible bed. I even contemplated sleeping on the foor if only it wasn't so nasty and the hotel is non smoking but there were multiple burn holes in the rug. The mini fridge was left open and difficult to close so it was barely cold enough to keep drinks cool. Honestly the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Also they have a very disappointing $30 very small buffet breakfast (drinks not included) which was not good. Eggs were watery and bland, some fruit tasted like chemicals, coffee was terrible, pastries tasted old or stale and there wasnt a wide variety of breakfast food. The whole stay was not relaxing or satisfying in anyway. Even the pools were gross so nasty the water looks merry and had all kinds of stuff floating in both the indoor and outdoor pool but the indoor pool was worse. I definitely don't recommend this hotel to anyone especially for the price it's a rip off a complete scam. You're better off parking somewhere and sleeping in your car. I woild gladly sleep in my car before i ever return to this to this hotel. Im also annoyed that that that a sign on the door of the room tells you to check out st the front desk to avoid an late check out fee but due to the one service elevator being full of workers and food carts and the long wait for the one working gust elevator and a line of other guests checking in/out i was a few minutes late to check out so they charged me a late check out free. The only good things about this hotel was the free parking. Terrible experience horrible hotel. If I could give a half star I would. read more

It gives off the air of a hotel that knows what it's doing. But like a well-plated dish hiding a rotten center, it all unravels the moment you step inside. Let's start with the elevators, because you will. And you will wait. And wait. And begin to question if the concept of vertical movement was ever fully mastered here. They move like they've been cursed--slow, confused, occasionally absent. You'll grow intimately familiar with the walls of the lobby, because you're going to see a lot of them. Then came the blackouts. Actual power outages. Not once. Not twice. The lights go out. The AC dies. You're standing there half-shaved with a toothbrush hanging out of your mouth like a lunatic, wondering if this is all some postmodern escape room. The second outage lasted all night. Nothing like lying in a sweltering, airless room to make you reflect on your life choices and the illusion of comfort in modern travel. You think that's the worst of it. But there's something particularly jarring when a place that pretends to be luxurious is, in fact, a Kafkaesque fever dream of poor infrastructure and corporate indifference. To their credit, the staff did their best. They always do. But they're working on a sinking ship, bailing water with a thimble. I was familiar with this hotel because I've been to events at the adjacent Wind Watch Golf Course. I was back on Long Island after moving in January and looking for a homebase while visiting family. The Hyatt has gotten tired. Only one of the three elevators was working properly. We were on one for almost 5 minutes while it continued to bypass our floor. The room had water stains on the lampshade, no desk chair and broken curtain pulls. On the upside...good water pressure! I was in town to celebrate a close friend's 60th birthday. Upon arrival it was apparent that the elevators were not working and the service elevators were working sporadically at best. M On my second morning at the hotel, in my room, I got up out of bed around 6:30 am to see why the room was so cold. In the room was a solid marble top pedestal table that I bumped into. I fell to my hands and knees and the heavy topped table proceeded to fall on the fingers of my left hand. The result was an extremely painful breaking of the middle finger of my left hand. I immediately called the front desk, who advised me to come down. When I finally got to the front desk, due to ALL elevators being down at that time, the front desk employee had me write an incident report. After completing the report the front desk worker suggested I go to the nearest urgent care as it looked like my finger was broken. Although the urgent care was decent, being from out of town and having out of state insurance, I had to pay the bill out of pocket which was a substantial expense. The urgent care doctor had to insert a needle through my fingernail (incredibly painful) to relieve the pressure of the swollen bloody broken finger. Beware. Avoid this hotel! read more

We arrived at 159pm and asked about checking in early, the girl at the front desk said "I'm not going to charge you even though you're a minute early". Seriously? I would have stepped back and waited the one minute if she was going to charge me the early check in. Then she told us that they don't have ice machines but they did have ice over there and pointed in a direction. Yeah you can buy a bag of ice from them in the little store they have. Three elevators and one of them will eventually arrive but don't worry, one of the many falling down drunk people will talk to you while waiting. We (me, wife and 10 year old son) were waiting for the elevator and a drunk guy and extremely drunk woman that was being carried by a staff member arrived. The staff member leaves them at the elevator and walks away. Guess once you over serve them and get them out of the bar they're no longer your problem. Both of them could hardly hold the other one up. Eventually the woman falls down just before the elevator doors open. We rush inside and shut the doors. Not something my 10 year old should be witnessing. Then there were kids running in the hallways at 930pm. This went on for about 30-40 minutes. The room appeared clean but the bathroom needs to be cleaned better. The wallpaper and paint could be refreshed. The TV was useless because no matter how loud you turned it up you still could not hear it. Almost like the speaker wasn't allowed to go louder. read more

When reading the other reviews, I can't believe I was staying at the same hotel. The front staff was very nice. The room was very clean and the maid even came by with extra towels. I think some of the complaints come from bridal parties that are very very demanding because the woman next-door to me was complaining about the air-conditioning yet when I went to her room, the air conditioning was just fine. It's a shame that this is a nice hotel and people are complaining especially if they are in a group. The lobby is beautiful and bar staff is very nice. I'm a Hyatt member and I could stay at other hotels but I would always stay at this hotel. read more

WEDDINGS AND GROUPS BE WARE! I never write reviews of businesses. I get that noone/ nothing is perfect nor can a business meet our expectation every time. This was my first time at a Hyatt and it will be the last. This specific Hyatt expects customers to hold up to their end of contracts but will not hold up their end of the contract. A group I traveled with reserved a block of rooms. I reserved a double bed room 6 months before our travel date. I did the pre-check in on line to ensure we were all set. When I checked in, they said they were all out of double rooms and booked me in a smaller room with no discount. Come to find out they did that to four other famlies in our group. The facility over booked itself with multiple weddings and groups. When going up to bed, a bride was in the elevator so upset because the facility screwed up her wedding with another. They had something like 6 weddings at once. They put a cot in the room to make up for the loss of a bed. I had to go to the front desk when we got back that night because we didn't get pillows and no one would answer the phone. (No staff member was concerned with the inconvenience). Lunch in the lobby with only 4 tables full took almost an hour to get food because the kitchen was on another floor and the service elevator was broken. (2 out of 6 meals were wrong when they arrived). It was a long weekend and I needed to leave early because of a sick child. I went to the desk and explained my situation. The front desk said that the manager refuses to refund me for the one night because I knew the reservation was for three nights.that read more

Here we go, So I never knew about this hotel until my nephew told me about it. I inquired on booking.com and got a room for 5 nights for my mom who came into town for Mother's Day. I thought because it was the Hyatt it would be expensive. Nope. Other hotels were more than the Hyatt I was surprised. Anyway, I realized it was located on Motor Pkwy. So as I drove to the hotel I realized it was right down the street from Cablevision. In all the years I have been on Long Island never knew about this hotel. It is beautiful. You can see Stony Brook Hospital from this hotel. It's on a hill. It looks as though they are building condos right next to the hotel. Sorry, I didn't take more pics. Customer service was fantastic. Didn't get room service but there was a small Cafe in the waiting area . Great selections of snacks. Housekeeper was so nice. Even though my room was kept clean hose keeper still came in to tidy up. As I mentioned before pricing was great. Other amenities didn't get to them however they had a party for the guest on Sunday night. People were everywhere dancing and having a great time. Overall this hotel is my new go-to place for peace and quiet time. I will be visiting again soon. read more

I used to go here back with my parents 25 years ago on the way back from Hamptons.. It was a great halfway point. Return now with my son and he LOVES the outdoor and indoor pool. They are both amazing! LOVE the gym and it is always quiet since it is not the type that is open to the public.. All new machines, weights, plus 2 Pelotons. Friendly check-in. Good rates. Comfortable room. The elevators are slow but hey, nothing's perfect! read more

Recently stayed here while visiting family. A little bit further out from Queens. Hyatt Regency always does good. Free parking is always nice and plenty of it. Quiet area located on a golf course. As you entered the lobby you could find a fruit-infused water station. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Although there was an event going on it couldn't be heard in your hotel room which was nice. The hotel suite was clean and intact. Spacious rooms, good room service, and a peaceful nights rest. All in all good stay. Would stay again if I don't mind driving a bit more. Only downside was that one of the elevators seemed to need service because as soon as the doors opened it seemed to quickly close. read more

Highly disappointed abs disgusted that this hotel. It gives a bad name to a "regency hotel", especially since it is used a lot of weddings. Came here September 10 to spend the evening after a friend's wedding of mine and we got decent prices since it was blocked for her wedding. When we checked in, we saw that it was busy and had about 6/7 other wedding parties' guests staying there that evening since we saw welcome and thank you bags all set up behind the check in counter. Checking in was easy and we went upstairs to place our things before the reception The hallways were not numbered properly and some of the number for the "direction" of the rooms were fallen off on some floors, which made locating our room confusing. Unfortunately, when we came back roughly around 1230am, the front area lobby and seating area smelt like vomit. Now it is understandable that people will get drunk and might get sick? , but i was highly disgusted with the way the hotel's housekeeping handled their job. I went to complain 3x about the vomit being located not only in the front doors/floors of the elevator, but there was also VOMIT IN 2/3 ELEVATORS!!! We got out the third floor and there was even more vomit on the rug once the doors opened for our floor! When i went to complain i even tried to ask the security for help and he gave me a dirty look with the girl he was flirting with. I got vomit on my feet, shoes (which i had to toss) and my expensive dress. So disgusted. No one cleaned it up and to make it worst, i smelt it all stay in my room! No one took initiative to clean it DURING COvid! It's a pandemic and they decided to think it was ok to leave bacteria floating in the air for others to breathe in. When we checked out at 12, all they did was place towels over the vomit and it was still there. When i called to complain about it (and wanting a refund), they told me they could only offer me 8,00 points which was a one night stay at the hotel. I told them i didn't want that abs they transferred me to a higher person via email. I was then told that they couldn't do anything but NOW offer me 3000 points in rewards. NOT ONLY DID THEY NOT ADMIT FAULT or want to refund me in some way, THEY OFFERED ME LESS THE SECOND TIME AROUND!!! Horrible customer service. I wrote back and it has been about 3 weeks since I've heard from them. POINT IF STORY. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL IF YOU CARE ABOUT HYGIENE. Imagine you plan your entire wedding a year out, have everything set, and 2 weeks before your wedding they email you to inform you the presidential bridal suite and entire 10th floor is now unavailable now due to construction and you have no where with enough room to get ready now. Then you show up in person to try to remedy a solution and they offer you a banquet room, yet no supervisor or general manager will come out to speak to you, hiding in their offices. Staff had rooms ready ahead of time and allowed me to check in slightly earlier which was a great relief. Rooms had all brand new accommodations through out and definitely some of the nicer beds and bathrooms I've used while staying in a hotel. Floor layout can be a little confusing as the lobby is on the second floor and the signage can leave a little something to be desired, but the staff is friendly enough to help you find whatever you're looking for if you ask. Plenty of parking in the lot across the street as well. If you happen to be staying in the area, I don't think you could do much better than this. read more

Guests were rude, kids playing ding-dong-ditch, wedding groups acting like they were the only ones here, yelling to each other down the hallways (use your phone?) and walking around in their pajamas, parents not keeping track of their kids. Stayed again here recently because a wedding we were attending (elsewhere) booked through them. Sadly it hasn't improved. I'll try to upload 2 photos I took upon arriving (of our bathroom). This hotel desperately needs an updating. Our housekeeper was nice and did clean the room 2 times during our stay. She provided towels as needed and additional hangers. But this place on weekends is wedding central. Not only multiple weddings being held here but guest like us staying & going to some place else for the wedding. They did provide shuttle service. But we were waiting in front of hotel and didn't see anyone else or the bus, so we returned to the lobby & were sitting in front couches. After a while my husband went out to check again & the shuttle was not in front because he didn't want to block in (?) so we ran in parking lot to get it & were the last people on. Like he shut the door & pulled away. We were there early waiting and saw no one else or the shuttle from the front of the hotel. So although we were able to utilize the service. A minute later & we would have had to either drive or Uber there. Perhaps a sign in the lobby explaining that the shuttle was around the corner in the parking lot would have been helpful. They also only offered one room key during our visit. Because they were short on them. This was for all the family that stayed here as well (not just us). All in all it's a basic place you have to stay at, not want to stay at. The bed was clean and we were grateful to be in a quiet floor/area. But again, they could stand to renovate & update the rooms but I guess they don't need to bother, since people stay here either way. read more

I was skeptical from the moment we walked in as the hall sign for where rooms are was missing its arrows, over half the rooms didn't have numbers anymore and instead had a piece of paper taped to the wall with the number sharpied on, and our bathroom floor was cracked. We saw no signs of rats or roaches so we checked in for a family wedding figuring it could be habitable even if it was an overpriced prison. Wrong. Upon having a drink at the hotel bar and the half chicken at the restaurant, my boyfriend became violently ill with food poisoning. Non stop vomiting and diarrhea. This continued for 24 hours as he collapsed into the bed an hour before his cousins wedding. We made it to only 30 minutes of the reception that night until he ran off to throw up all fluids he had recently consumed all over the venue bathroom. We promptly left the event. His stomach is still sensitive today, 3 days later following the terrible food poisoning. I reported this to the hotel and was offered an ambulance which we declined. Oh and while we were gone for 30 minutes at the venue? Peoples rooms started to flood in sections. The hall ceilings were cracked with water coming through and his parents' room had a massive puddle of water in one corner. 4 star hotel, what a joke. In hindsight we should have stayed literally anywhere else and ubered over for family time with those brave enough to stay at this shit hole. The hotel management could've cared less and no refund is being offered. What an overpriced excuse for a hotel. read more

I can't believe this hotel has the nerve to charge 4 star prices and the audacity to continue touting a 4 star rating. The lobby is nice and they offer large TVs in the rooms. But that's all the niceties I have to offer this place. 3 stars at best, on a very good day. The rooms are run down and fully equipped with old stained carpets, barely working light fixtures and outlets, absolutely filthy doors in both the room and restroom, and dirty bathrooms with showers that have streaks of caked in dirt on the ground, mold in the grout, sinks that don't drain, and floors that wouldn't get clean no matter how much you scrubbed. Icing on the cake was this morning when the elevator stopped working. I called down and was met with "did you try pressing the button?" I wish I had a better recommendation for you on the island but despite town after town after town of wealth, I'm yet to find a single decent hotel stay on the island outside of Gurney's. You're better off staying home than staying in this dump. read more

Disappointing stay. Old, understaffed. Rooms clean, worth the price at only $150/night. Chambermaid didn't shop up until 5:30p to do the room. Went there for a wedding, didn't get the "welcoming pkg" until after the wedding, and only because we asked for it. Missed both the Friday and Saturday night dinners. Wedding was on Sunday evening. read more
