Over all stay here over a week was not bad at all. Breakfast is available 7 days a week, certain items change everyday. Specious room with kitchen and living area which is perfect for family and business trip like me. Plenty of parking spaces which is a plus. Another plus that this hotel is only less than 2 mins driving to grocery shopping and take out, dining restaurants. The couple things that a bit complicated while staying were laundry situation (the machine's card reader errors) and printing machine at business center was nit working properly. My family and I had a pleasant five night stay at the Residence Inn Long Island Islip/Courthouse Complex. We had a king bed studio room and the room was the perfect size for our extended stay. We were traveling with our baby and we were able to fit a pack and play, all of our luggage, the stroller, and had plenty of room to comfortably move around. The kitchen had a full size fridge/freezer, sink, microwave, stovetop, and basic cooking and eating necessities. The room and common areas of the hotel were clean and well-maintained. All of the staff we interacted with were extremely friendly, professional, and welcoming. The hotel had a decent array of free breakfast each morning. They also had an indoor pool, basketball hoop, and plenty of parking. The hotel is also right around the corner from the Long Island Ducks field. They ended up playing while we were visiting, so we made an impromptu trip to watch a game and had a quick and easy walk to the stadium. Our stay at the Residence Inn Long Island Islip/Courthouse Complex was more than we expected. We would definitely return in the future if the price was right. read more

My experience was a visit in March of 2025. I stayed here for 2 nights and had an overall positive experience. Service: 4/4- on par with Marriott standards. The front desk forgot to offer me a water bottle at check-in (a standard perk for Marriott Bonvoy members). I went down and asked for a bottle and they graciously let me pick one up. Breakfast: 3/5 They offer a few hot items that are ok. It's fine for one or two days in a row, but after that, I would be tired of it. Amenities: 5/5 The gym and pool looked really nice. Rooms: 5/5 My room was very spacious and had a kitchenette with a decent sized fridge. Overall, there is nothing about the room that I could complain about. The furnishings were updated and clean. It's worth pointing out that housekeeping did not visit during my stay. I didn't have the privacy sign on my door, so I'm not sure why they skipped my room. I didn't bother to bring this up with the front desk because I was tired and just wanted to go to sleep. I would gladly stay here again, if in the area. read more

The title of this review is "Rude Staff, Lying Manager, No Hot Water, and False Advertising!" My reservation was for a 1 bedroom suite with a standard King size bed checking in on December 16, 2024 for a 1 night stay. But I received a Queen size bed instead! I also had another reservation for another 1 night stay but Marriott Customer Service cancelled that reservation and refunded me after I told them the following story: Both the Property Manager and the maid confirmed the smaller bed size by putting their sheet on top of my Queen size sheet that I brought from home! My Queen size sheet fit perfectly on the mattress and was clearly labeled as a Queen size sheet! Their sheet that they put on top of my sheet was SMALLER than my Queen size sheet, not bigger! And their blanket that was also on the smaller bed was clearly labeled "Queen Size"! The Manager agreed to refund all 25,000 points that I used to purchase this reservation and she agreed to process the refund on December 17, 2024. However and to date, no refund has been submitted or processed for this reservation (Confirmation number 76598289). The room also lacked adequate hot water (the water was lukewarm and not the right temperature required by NY State law) and the female Front Desk clerk was extremely rude and tried to overcharge me for this reservation upon check in on the night of Monday December 16th. read more

The room we were in had a bathtub. There is almost everything you would need to cook yourself a little something in the kitchen. The breakfast in the morning is delicious. We stayed for a long weekend to attend a wedding and go sight-seeing. The wedding group stayed at the courtyard Marriott across the parking lot, but we chose to stay at the Residence Inn because we were able to bring our dog, who recently had surgery. We chose a studio room with a king size bed & sofa bed (which we didn't use). The room was spacious and was the perfect size for our family & dog. We were able to shift the couch over a little bit to fit the giant dog crate. The room was hotel clean. There were some plastic shot cups under the couch which we found when we slid it over. But that wasn't really a huge issue, not enough of an issue to impact our stay. The sheets, pillows, towels, & bathroom were very clean. The pool was a nice bonus that we used. Perfect for our tiny human to practice her swimming skills. The pool was heated. I wouldn't say it was 'warm' but it was warm enough that it was pleasant to enter. I wish the air temp was a little bit warmer (I think it was around 70) but again, not a huge issue. We were super thankful for the pool! The front desk & employees in the breakfast area were all super nice and helpful. Everyone was very personable and made some great recommendations to us. The breakfast fare was mediocre but it was free! Just enough to get some food in you before starting the day. They had decent coffee and hot chocolate (which came in clutch for our tiny human). We took the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) into the city twice and it was very easy to navigate to/from. We also found a great little bar/grill with great food close by (Riley Fibbers). Overall, I would stay here again if we return to the area. We had a very nice experience and it was in a decent location to easily find food & travel into NYC. read more

I wanted to update my review since it's been about 6 years since my last review and lots of things have changed in that time. I stayed 5 nights at this hotel for a personal trip. I paid for the trip myself, full price, no points used. It was the second time at this hotel. Covid Related There is no housekeeping during your stay unless you are staying 5 nights or more AND you request it. I am fine with this as I prefer it this way. However, on the handout there should be information on what to do with your trash. This has been my pet peeve with Marriott for 2 years and I have suggested this at all 3 Marriott's I have stayed at during the pandemic. And it's not the same at every hotel. Some say leave it outside your door, some say bring it down to a staging area, some say call when you leave it outside your room. Why am I still having to ask this question after 2 years? Location Very easy to find, right off the parkway, but not a lot of street lighting at night. Follow signs for the Ballpark and the turn in is right before you get to the stadium. Room I had room 430 with 1 king bed, in a corner away from the elevators (my preference). The room was a nice size and very clean. The windows have curtains so I carrying binder clips with me to keep them closed enough to get a really dark room. HVAC is quiet and steady, like white noise. A/C works very well. Hotel Staff The hotel staff I interacted with were all very pleasant and helpful. I had to adjust my stay twice and they were able to do that easily. Parking There is plenty of free, unassigned parking in front and on the side of the building. No parking passes needed and they did not ask for my car information at check in. Lobby The lobby is up to date and has a variety of seating types for all size groups. Nice big fire place and tv in the middle. GPS/Cell Phone/Internet/Business Services Hotel internet was great for work and personal stuff. No issues connecting or doing work. No issues with cell phone signal (Verizon) and Waze works perfectly. The hotel does not have a dedicated business services area, but they do have a printer in the lobby for anyone who needs it and if you can't connect, you can email your document to them and they will print it for you. Gym/Pool There is a small room with gym equipment on the lobby level. The machines are a little close together. It gets the job done if you need a basic workout. They have a decent sized indoor pool as well. Restaurants They have the Bistro over at the Courtyard hotel across the parking lot with a decent menu and a bar. It is only open from Wednesday to Saturday from 5pm-10pm. I used Uber Eats and it works well here as there are a lot of close options. Breakfast Breakfast buffet is in the lobby. They have a good mix of individually wrapped items and unwrapped items. The hot breakfast is pre-packaged/individually wrapped Jimmy Dean bacon egg & cheese biscuits, pre-packaged/individually wrapped beef and potato burritos and individual spinach egg cups (not individually wrapped). They have cold cereal, individually wrapped muffins, wrapped fresh apples and unwrapped oranges. They have bread and a toaster and hot oatmeal in a crock pot type dish. Hotels take a lot of wear and tear and I was happy to see that the place still looks as good as it did when I first stayed here. read more

My wife and I stayed here last night. It was far from the worst, but nowhere near the best. The rooms were clean, however, the toilet was clogged. Kudos to the staff for allowing us to simply change to the room next door. Nothing great to "write home about" concerning this place, but we chose this place due to the fact that quite a few of the other hotels in the area had horrible reviews. If you need a place to stay in this area and are not too picky, you should be ok here. If anyone knows a hotel in this area of LI that you van reccomend, I am open to hearing it as I have family in the area and may find myself needing a room around these parts one day. read more

I booked the room as I was coming into town for a funeral. I'm glad I did. The room was comfortable and clean. Very much what I am accustomed to with Residence Inn. The kitchenette is a life saver. The staff was fantastic. The night attendant was very accommodating and super helpful. I did not get to have the breakfast, so I cannot speak on that. However it is a lovely hotel. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5star rating is the TV. The service was slow and the streaming was buffering and at times unavailable. The wifi worked well so I was able to stream from my devices so it was all good. I would def book again when in the area. read more

This place sucks. There is a yellow stain on the wall on the bathroom, the couch bed feels like springs on you, and you hear the kids outside! The kids outside are so loud and the window is not sound proof and I couldn't sleep all night. The decor is horrible and looks like trash. read more

We requested housekeeping mid stay and she tossed stuff that she shouldn't have touched...I.e my contacts case, extra coffee and sugar we had. Didn't replace the hand soap that she tossed. I called and politely asked about covid precautions- was told that they take all the precautions that people all over the world take...very informative, right? I asked about the possibility of asking when I check in for a room that was empty the night before and was told "That's not possible, you need to go find a different hotel." The woman (Jamaican/Caribbean accent) then hung up on me. But wait, there's more... I accidentally called them back about 10 mins later because I was calling hotels in the area and didn't realize that I had already called them. When I asked about covid precautions, the same woman said to ask reservations then hung up on me. I called back immediately and the phone was picked up and hung up again. Just for kicks, I called again and the same thing happened. I'm actually pretty impressed by how rude this woman is. Kudos? It's not a stretch to imagine that these are NOT the sort of folk that you ever want to be in a position to have to ask for help from. Consider yourself warned! read more

UNQUALIFIED STAFF An incident occurred at this hotel which was improperly handled by the front desk staff. They did not follow proper protocol and after seeking help from Susan Fierros, the general manager, it was clear as to why the staff was so inadequate. Susan herself seemed unaware that her staff was wrongly informing guests. Susan was unapologetic and defensive of her staffs poorly chosen actions as well as her own. I generally don't write reviews however the less than par service I experienced this past week warrants one. Dirty linens and towels upon arrival hallmark this awful experience, and when I simply asked for replacement dressings I was told that they would be replaced when they had time. When I asked to speak to the general manager (Susan Fierros) to relay how unprofessional this service was, I was told by Susan that I was the one who dirtied the dressings because her staff always does their job. I was appalled by not only the accusation but by the fact I was checked into the hotel for less than 10 minutes. A manager who was more concerned with being defensive rather than treating the customer with respect. I have never reviewed such poor service and blatant disrespect in the hospitality industry and I urge you to spend your money and time elsewhere, you will be much happier. read more

Best service from a hotel I have ever revived. They remembered me by name,why I was in town, what I was doing. They offer free snacks, beer and wine Mon-Wed for evening socials. Breakfast every morning. All served in a comfortable area where you could sit and watch TV if you like. The staff is knowledable, competent and eager to help. Even the cleaning staff is a pleasure. I've never met a more polite, helpful group of employees in my life. And that's just the people, the rooms are amazing! If you give the staff a grocery list they will get your groceries and load your fridge for you while you are at work and just charge your room. This is the perfect place to stay if you are going to be stuck in a hotel for awhile, they really make it feel like your it's your home but better since they clean and make your bed. I stayed at this hotel for two weeks. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The kitchen was updated and clean. I was glad the pots n utensils were all clean. Whenever I needed my room cleaned, housekeeping responded within 10minutes. The bathroom shower area could use an update, the shampoo dispensers were clogged and could use a good cleaning. The bedding was clean, pillows was too soft for me, nothing firm about the pillows or mattress. Hotel furnishings could use an update, there were stains on a few. But not to the point of grossing you out. Breakfast is free. I will just say, you pay for what you get. I never attended the evening free snacks, so I can't comment. However, I did hear from other guest, the evening events food was disgusting. All of the equipment in the gym worked, I just had to plug in one time, room was clean, with clean towels and fresh cold water. TV screens on each individual machine. The only part that was uncomfortable, would be the strong chlorine smell from the pool next door. Overall, this hotel is worth a stay. read more

This is a perfect place to stay when traveling or out of town guests. The pool was clean and temperature was nice. The area around the pool is kept cleen as well. The exercise room is a good size with clean up to date equipment. Coffee and tea are always available in the very nice semi private lobby seating areas. Really the only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because of the price of the items in The Market. Unfortunately, if you are stuck without transportation and are at the mercy of The Market be prepared to bring cash to pay for your items at a kind of unreasonable price....this might explain why the Haagen Dazs is freezer burned --from staying in the freezer too long because the cost is SUPER marked up. The customer service is excellent! Everyone we've encountered has been extremely pleasant. The fact that an extended stay has a nice indoor pool seems like a rare find --which I am thankful for. They even have a mini basketball court that has a hoop that you can adjust the height to based on your players. I love how they allow dogs, but be prepared to pay a fairly large free to keep them there with you. The piece de resistance is The Mix which they offer all you can drink beer and wine while alternating a nice couple of food options to snack on while mingling with other residents. Mondays it is snacks and wine/beer, Tuesdays are grilled options and wine/beer, and Wednesdays alternate between a couple dessert options and a food truck you can buy your choice from a list of options. It's a fairly new hotel. We stayed in a 2 bedroom for 2 weeks with a dog and a baby. When they had to clean my room I have to leave with both so they clean thoroughly. To my surprise When I came back I was very mad to see they basically only made my bed! The garbage was still there, they didn't clean the sinks or vacuumed, or anything else regular hotel do! I called the Alberto at the FD and the guy said he would send someone over right away. (Meanwhile we have been gone for a while and my baby is exhausted and wants to sleep) I waited for 20 mins and nobody came! I walked to the FD to ask if someone was really going to come otherwise I should just put my baby to sleep and Alberto said he had to call Carrie the Ops Manager. I went to my room and Carrie called and was extremely rude and said SHE the "manager" cleaned my room and she didn't clean anything because there was stuff everywhere and they are not allowed to touch anything. That was so insulting! I didn't have stuff everywhere and by stuff everywhere she meant my make up bag on the sink which regular hotels just move to the side and CLEAN! She threw a towel on the dining chair and that was it! They never changed our sheets or vacuumed! She didn't apologize and said she would come back and clean! She didn't come and clean and 20 mins later an engineering man came over to apologize and asked me what I wanted him to clean. He said they are "short handed" and even though he is the engineer. The so Ops Manager sent him to clean her mess! We are paying over $2000 for a room and this service is ridiculous! Also shady people park outside so beware of that too! Terrible terrible! read more

I was there for business. Stayed 3 nights. Other than a delay with bringing more tables, I was very happy with their service and the rooms. They offer a free big contential breakfast each day. Unfortunately they don't offer room service. The rooms have full size refrigerators and microwaves which is nice. There is a Homedepot and Target nearby. read more

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this property while on a business trip. This is pretty new property and it is conveniently located to the highway, shopping, and area restaurants. Service is exceptional, rooms are perfect for the business traveler, and the fitness center is clean, spacious, and well equipped. My second home!! Staff is super helpful and always friendly. Many even remember my name every time I'm back in town. Anything you need; just ask! Other highlights include the outdoor fire pit and lounge area and the grill. Be sure to make good use of the grill, it's the best!! The gym and pool are both solid too! But most importantly, the breakfast! It's phenomenal for a free hotel breakfast!! Hot eggs and sides every morning, Local fresh bagels and muffins, Greek yogurt and lots of fresh fruit!! We stayed for one night at the Residence Inn having come from Manhattan on the LIRR. We wanted a base close to The Bayshore Ferry to Fire Island. We had a fantastic stay. Everyone at the hotel was super friendly. The room was fresh and clean. The hotel is new and has great facilities. We swam in the pool. In the evening, the hotel lit a fire pit and we sat around it and had a glass of wine and watched the sun go down. The hotel was peaceful and convenient. The pool was a nice size and the temperature was adquedate for immediate swimming . The only issue I had with the pool area was the towels- the hotel needs to invest in bigger towels. I am glad I bought my own. There were parts of the breakfast that was okay but I enjoyed the fruit cups. The hotel had a social which was really nice. It was a dessert and wine social. I had a studio room which was a nice size. The hotel now offer free popcorn which was real nice. The hotel caters to families with young children. There is also ample parking. Just spent Memorial Day weekend at this hotel. It was very poorly managed. Outdoor area was trashed no housekeeping? Not one garbage was empty even the garbage at the restaurant and lobby. Pool had no towels ever the bathrooms in the pool area where gross no toilet paper. The front desk was trying I am guessing no staff. The girl thAt worked at the front desk Saturday night until 11pm was super rude and unprofessional. I would not stay here again. Oh and she also finds in entertainment to put on sprinklers outside with out warning guests and they went on several times a day with no rhyme or reason other than guess's are outside let's turn on the sprinklers. read more

When my husband and I got stuck with no where to live while waiting for our new home to finished, we settled on the Residence Inn in Central Islip. While we experienced no problems for the first 2 weeks of our stay, between the evening of May 17 to the evening on 19, $780 in cash went missing from our room. The only people in the room during this time was myself and my husband with the exception of a friend who immediately left with me to go to the mall. When I discovered the missing money, we promptly made a police report and were told the security footage could not be reviewed that evening because the manager with access was not present. The following morning the manager for the hotel came and spoke with us in our room. She indicated that she has reviewed the key logs for our room. I explained the times I was not present in the room and the fact that when I came home from the mall on Saturday my purse had been moved. The manager told me the same cleaning person had been in my room both Friday and Saturday and she certainly could NOT have done it because she had been with the hotel for 10 years and they have never been a problem like this with her. I explained that circumstances can change and there is a first time that someone commits a crime all the time. She again said it absolutely was not this person, THE ONLY OTHER PERSON IN THE ROOM, and then asked me if I had misplaced the money myself. I felt re-victimized and accused when I know with 100% certainty that neither myself nor my husband took this money. To date the hotel has done zero follow up with us and has not offered to compensate us in anyway at all, nor offered any apology for this. I strongly advise anyone who chooses to stay at this hotel to guard their valuables with their life. We are extremely disappointed. read more

UPDATE: My husband was able to speak with the Manager of the hotel who was very helpful and really listened to my side of the story. My husband assured me that the Manager was not scamming me. In fact, the Manager apologized for not having one of her staff members call me prior to charging my credit card and for not having someone present when I checked out. Because of this, I was able to tell my colleagues who also frequent this hotel for business that the Manager acted in a very professional manner and was able to reverse the credit card charge. I am glad this matter was taken care of. I rated my experience a 3/5 only because this whole matter really stressed me out, but this hotel is fine and I would stay here again. read more
