There was more than enough room for them and their friends to be comfortable. Also, we had friends come meet us and they rented the studio right next door. It was perfect! If you have a large group, you may want to consider renting many of Greg's Villas. It was nice to be next to each other and share a deck, but it was also nice that we all had our own space. The Villas were as clean as a beach house could be. It was clear to us that Greg takes a lot of pride in his rentals and who he rents to, and we appreciated that. It's great that Greg lives right there and can answer any questions you have. Rent from Greg, you will NOT be sorry! We finally found the perfect rental at Kismet, and we can't wait to come back again very soon! Thanks, Greg!

This hotel is conveniently located on Rt. 110 in Farmingdale. This is a relatively new hotel as it was not there 2 years ago. The cleanliness of this hotel was on point and the lobby was very inviting. We had reservations made several months prior to arriving and once we checked in, we went directly to our second floor room. Again the cleanliness of our room and bathroom were also spot onand well appointed with modern finishes. The beds were clean and comfortable. Each morning we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast adjacent to the lobby. I am not going to say that it was five star dinning but as a complimentary breakfast, it was well stocked and fresh coffee were available every morning. Room was small but it's we just used it to sleep and shower. BTW shower was awsome. Spent time in the main courtyard with our friends, employees were attentive. I can also see an issue staying at the off site locations being loud. Looking forward coming back next year.

Visible from a distance, The Belvedere Guest House stands out in Cherry Grove -- a beautiful eclectic castle. The interior matches the exterior charm -- various hallways and staircases and corners to get lost in. The rooms are all different from each other -- each with its own unique theme. There are a variety of room options -- from single rooms with shared bathrooms -- to luxury rooms with balconies overlooking the bay. I stayed in what they call a standard room -- it was cozy with its own bathroom, mini-fridge, and television. It was steps from the pool and Jacuzzi. The pool is not heated, but of course the Jacuzzi is -- a great place to mingle and meet other guests. There is also an outdoor gym and an outdoor shower. I particularly enjoyed the top floor of the property -- accessible only through a spiral staircase -- its quiet and peaceful with an outdoor deck and stunning views of the bay. It's a good place to curl up and read a book, or get to know a new friend more intimately (as seems to be encouraged by the porn-playing television). The entire property is clothing optional, but at least on this off season weekend, it was far more leisurely than lascivious. And while the property is generally only open to men -- this weekend it was open to everyone. The Belvedere would be a great choice on these weekends for anyone who wants to unwind, relax, and just be themselves. My only very minor complaint was the heat in the room and property -- on a relatively cold weekend, it was a bit chilly throughout the property, and while my room did have heat, it wasn't quite enough to warm it up properly. But other than that, I found the room, as well as the property clean and well maintained. The staff was cordial and friendly, but not intrusive. And there was coffee/tea and breakfast-type muffins, danishes, etc. available in the morning. None of it is fancy, but this isn't a 5 star midtown Manhattan hotel - The Belvedere doesn't advertise itself that way. It's a guest house on Fire Island -- a very good one.

While I understand prioritizing renters, an associate should know basic details about the surrounding area, or at least offer to ask another staff member--what if a paying guest wanted to visit the Sunken Forest? I was actually considering booking a family stay here in the future, but due to this poor customer service and lack of local knowledge, I will be looking elsewhere. Otherwise, to be fair, the hotel did look nice and had a bumping scene. Hopefully they can make a better first impression on other future renters.

For $32.50 you get R/T LIRR, shuttle and ferry tickets. Couldn't have been easier getting out to Fire Island.. can't wait to return!
