We picked this location because of the proximity to i95. Easy to reserve in the Marriott app and our room was ready upon arrival. Check-in was fast and easy. The parking lot is spacious and well-lit. The lobby is modern and sleek. We had a room on the first floor. The decor is modern and the beds are comfy. Rooms are equipped with a Keurig and fridge. There are big walk-in showers (no tubs) with big bottle of Paul Mitchell shampoo and soap. Everything was very clean and sanitized and we felt safe traveling during Covid. The staff is very professional and welcoming. There are also many restaurants , a Starbucks , Publix and outlet mall nearby . The location is great for a quick overnight.

One of the better hotels I've stayed at - new, clean, nice people. Rate is fair for the area. I'll be staying here again.

Sporting the new and improved interiors and design for the new short stay travel workers. I adore everything you've done everywhere. We enter a very nice looking lobby. Just screams out new world chic. The walnut floors, the modern chandeliers to the modern contemporary check in counter. It's just a pleasant place to enter. It's inviting and cozy at the same time. I feel like you've entered into a really nice spa setting. And that's what it is, the lobby says you're ready to relax and yes,, i definitely am. There's an elevator provided so you can take all your belongings up without utilizing the stairs. Heaven forbid we have to carry stuff up now a days. The rooms are very nice. The bed is nice and neat, it has sheets comforters and pillows. There's a window in the room, just in case you wanna look outside. A desk is provided, there's also a TV if you wanna watch some tube. The bathroom has a shower with a tub, a toilet that flushes and a sink with faucets and mirrors. Amazing!! Anyways, the staff is really nice,, they're very welcoming and from what I experienced is the epitome of southern hospitality. I enjoyed my stay here and I'll be seeing you again in the future.

READ THE CONTRACT, IT IS UNETHICAL…read more TL;DR: Red Gate will charge you full price if you cancel even if they book the date you cancel. I come from a journalism and legal communications background, so I want to be sure that I am stating the facts as clearly and accurately as possible. My fiance and I visited Red Gate in late February to tour the place for our early October wedding. We loved it, and the individual who gave us the tour was incredibly kind and answered our questions. My fiance was especially excited by the fact that there was a miniature donkey available to help serve drinks. That's somewhat important for later. We did a soft hold for an October 9 wedding, but we were told we only had a few days to make a decision since October is an extremely popular month. We had toured another venue that same day that was well outside our budget range, while Red Gate seemed pretty affordable, so we agreed. A few weeks into searching out their recommended vendors was a stressful period of time, especially for my fiance. The vendors were quoting MORE than we were paying for the venue, and my fiance was becoming more and more distressed about the ballooning prices. Given complex family situations, we knew we'd have to foot most of the bill. The straw that broke the camel's back was when we spoke to a coordinator. Red Gate does NOT allow outside coordinators; they have a select list of vendors from whom you can choose, and that's it. The vendor we talked to was more than double the price of the venue, and we were quickly outside of our budget range that we had stated to our tour guide at Red Gate (the vendor was also going to charge for the donkey, which my fiance and I both thought we heard the tour guide say was included in the venue rental price). Since Red Gate does not allow outside coordinators, we sadly had to cancel. Red Gate tried to offer us a different date, but given that we have to move across the country shortly after our wedding for my job, we couldn't flex it. We toured and booked in February and canceled in late April. Which is plenty of time to rebook the October date that we were assured is the busiest time of the year and there was already someone else asking about that date. During the cancellation discussions, we found out that the contract specifies that there is no refund for cancelling. So, Red Gate has the audacity to charge us thousands of dollars for a service we are not going to use at all, a service that we ultimately decided is cheaper to cancel than to continue on, and a service they've probably already double-dipped on at this point. To say this is unethical is an understatement. I feel some responsibility on my part for not carefully looking through the contract, but we were excited and felt a little rushed being informed that someone else was asking about the date. The most Red Gate offered was to cancel the alcohol deposit, which goes a small way, but the right, human action to do would be to refund the whole amount seeing as how we are not going to use any of it. This is disappointing and shady behavior. I'm all too happy to delete this review should Red Gate contact me and offer a refund, but given that they've baked this into their contract, I'm not getting my hopes up.

The complimentary breakfast had a great variety of food, and the dinner was delicious. They also offered popcorn and drinks, which was a nice bonus. The pool and hot tub were clean, and every staff member I encountered was extremely nice. My only small issue was with breakfast. Being military, sometimes I have to report to work around 4-5 AM and need to grab breakfast to eat on the way. When I asked one employee for a to-go container, her response came across a little snobby NO. Thankfully, another gentleman overheard and kindly provided me with containers. I really appreciated him and wish I had gotten his name! Other than that one interaction, I had everything I needed and truly enjoyed my stay. I would absolutely stay at Drury Inn again anytime!

A big bonus was the morning breakfast and evening happy hour with complimentary drinks, including a free cocktail, which was a really nice touch after a day out. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The walk-in shower was large and well designed, and the beds were very comfortable, making it easy to relax and sleep well. The gym was also perfect for what we needed, just enough equipment to get a solid workout in each day. The location was convenient, close enough to downtown Savannah while still being quiet and easy to access. Overall, we highly recommend staying here, and it's a great option for anyone traveling with dogs since they are pet friendly.
