They gave us a corner room so that we could see our rigs.

Just made for a great six hour nap, the beds were incredibly comfortable. The staff was very accommodating, quick and simple. That's all we needed.

Clean room. Great customer service. Pros: Efficient check in with nice customer service. Decent breakfast with pancakes made to order, breads, cereals, eggs, sausage, etc. Mini fridge & microwave. Convenient location to grocery stores, restaurants and shops. Free parking, outdoor pool. Cons: Smallish room, even for 1 person. Room smelled a bit mildewy, albeit clean. Fairly priced. I would recommend and revisit if in the area.

    Bathroom sink area

Sketchy location. The AC was not on when we first got in, and it was 90° inside for a good while before it started cooling down. Bed was nice and comfortable though, staff was generally friendly, and it was a pretty big room. Just very frustrated with the air conditioning.

When you walk in (highly unlikely same people will be standing at counter)

If you want to be close to the Historic District without being too close and without paying a lot, this is the joint. The owners are fun as hell, too. It's rare I meet people at hotel front desks that have personalities. Everything is clean, affordable, and place is conveniently located. The 5 Stars is based on a discount hotel. Don't expect a resort. Recommended.

Nice hotel , clean room, clean bed sheets, clean bathroom. Bed was comfy , didnt like the pillows kinda lumpy. Went to their free breakfast which was good, they had a few different options such as a waffle maker , cereal , grits , oatmeal , coffee , juice and biscuits. Good price for the our stay . Would stay at again .

    Bed bugs

It's true the location is great. Easy drive to downtown. The front desk staff was welcoming. But our room had bed bugs. I didn't sleep in the sheets because I could see they were not fresh and clean but my husband did and got bit. A swarm of red spots legs. There was blood stain on a pillow. I don't know if they have a shortage of cleaning staff but it's not clean i do t think they change the sheets every day. I saw similar comments on Google reviews. Should have done a better research before booking.

Very little storage space. No end tables by the bed, just open shelves. A stupid high-tech bedside Lenovo tablet that appeared to do nothing other than tell the time (had two alarms) and weather - and shine light on you all night long, like it or not. The bed was topped with a pillowtop that felt like someone had stuffed eight inches of cotton balls into a sack - overly soft. Bathroom was a hair too dark (everyone we saw staying here is on the downhill side of what's optimistically called "middle age" - you need more light in the bathroom) for basic getting ready in the morning. Downstairs lobbies were pretty (and crowded) and also had nowhere decent to type. Utterly quiet, though. The quality of the materials used in the construction of the place was terrific; I can see why it's a pricey joint. Pretty decor all over and lovely seating in the public areas. TV worked fine and interfaced well with your electronics from home. Good WiFi throughout the property. Good charging ports found where you'll want them. Good blackout shades. Shower was fantastic. Lots of towels. Good bars on site. Completely, utterly, perfectly clean - and that's _despite_ being a pet-friendly place with heavy doggie presence. And every staff member was friendly and polite and lovely. And to top it off, the perfect location. Too many issues for it to be a five-star at this price point, but it's certainly very nice. So many nice things (especially the staff, cleanliness and location) that I'm sad not to give it five stars. Happy we stayed here at Perry Lane.

The staff was very accommodating throughout our stay. Being that I lived in Savannah 20 years ago, I have bragged about how incredible Savannah's hospitality is and the staff here definitely showed up. Huge thank you to Joey, Jackie, Cindi, and Darnell or as I refer to them as the dream team for making our stay so incredible. I hope they promote you all into management. Our room was absolutely beautiful and comfortable. Honestly, one of the best beds I have ever slept on. Perfect if you have jet lag. I love that the toiletries have peppermint so you repeal bugs, which is a must in the south. Great alternative if you forget the bug spray. There's a coffee bar, restaurant, and a speakeasy bar that was Alice and wonderland themed. In the afternoon you are offered champagne, which is such a nice touch. They have bikes available to sightsee rather than walking. This hotel is close to everything in case you want to walk and explore shops, dining, etc. Overall, this hotel is beautifully decorated and charming. Something Savannah is known for. I highly recommend this hotel. Especially because it's pet friendly!

You can hear your neighbors :) It's crazy how the elevator was being serviced DURING BREAKFAST one morning and everyone had to use the stairs. It was especially bad because someone in my party needed to use a walker due to their bad knees. We had to carry the walker up and down the stairs and they were literally crawling to go up and down. I asked one of the male staff about it in the front desk and they said that there was nothing they can do and that the elevators will be both back up at 8:30 AM. We went out and took a stroll, came back around 9:00 AM and the elevators were not yet fixed. It was just ridiculous! Later on in the day, they managed to get ONE of the elevators working :) The next morning, we went to breakfast at 7 AM and everything is broken! Only one elevator is working, there is no coffee at all, no pancakes, and even the juice machine got hit! It was honestly insane. If you go on vacation, just go somewhere else.

Room, cleanliness, service, on site dining…read more At check-in June 3, 2026: Carolina was very thoughtful in explaining the property-- 3 buildings-- and the corresponding property map. We were pleased with room placement with balcony in furthest east Bldg (3Muses). We were advised water-facing rooms can be noisy. On that note, by the third and final night, Friday, this past weekend, we learned that the cobblestone street outside was quite noisy as well. Fortunately, on weekend, just after midnight, revelry noise level moves down from the billiard Halls across from our room. (Ear plugs were furnished in the room :-) Even so, we enjoyed the balcony for the mornings and pre-dinner hour: it was ambience into our room as we were getting ready for our various comings/goings. The medium-ish sized pool featured brrrrr water; not yet nuked by summer's power! But it was enjoyable for a refresh. It got unbelievably crowded on Friday afternoon, so glad we generally came earlier in the day. Fortunately my work Conference: buffet style food supplied by JW was above-average, 4* food for Conference food (3* if judged on its own merit). But we enjoyed the on-site dining from which we tried small plates from the African restaurant, fish at the seafood bar outside the main building; my wife enjoyed the breakfast dishes from the coffee shop in the main building. This is a special property. Enjoy the artwork and the unique character of each building. So much to see as meandering. Friendly Service top to bottom. Brandon, who helped me and my friend at the front desk, told us what we needed to know about the property and made our first impressions here very warm. This hotel has long term leases on almost all of level P3 of the Whittaker Street Parking Garage…read more Other private businesses with long term leases on spots mark the spots to inform people not to lark. Andaz Savannah Hyatt does not post signs nor mark the spots nor have any gate or signs to know what part of the garage they leased. Instead have sensors in the unmarked spots and tow without bothering to post any sign. Completely predatory. Sensors cost more than signs. They should put up signs. This is a very unethical dirty hotel that is doing harm to the city and the community. I went to a conference in Savannah, and carpooled with a coworker. We had gone to park at the Whittaker Street Parking Garage. On level P3, we went through an open gate to get in, and then needed a swipe card to get out. Half that floor is marked with "reserved for" signs, hanging from the ceiling and on the wall and concrete support columns by each parking spot. Those were something like reserved for a condo or something, not Andaz. Half is not marked at all. This is like a line down the middle half. The south part of the garage was marked; the north part was not. Line down the middle like 2 sections. Because the half that was marked said towing, my coworker had stayed in the car, and I went to go find the parking attendant to confirm we were parked in a public paid spot. On the street level, the security for Savannah said that where we were parked was OK, and that all reserved spots have to be marked. She told me where to find the parking attendant. The parking attendant said that all reserved spots are marked, and that unmarked spots are for the public paid parking. I went back to the car to tell my coworker that we were good to go. Well, it had taken me easily 20 minutes due to there is one single attendant. Lucky us, because when I got back, an Andaz Savannah Hyatt employee was there with my coworker saying he would towed. Apparently, rather than put up signs in their reserved spots, the Andaz Savannah Hyatt puts sensors pointed at each spot to detect a car, and then orders a tow. A sensor has to cost more than a sign. That's so dirty and immoral to not post a sign, and then to tow people. The two employees of the city and of the parking garage said that that was a public paid spot based on there not being any posted signs that it was reserved. Andaz Savannah Hyatt just cannot be bothered to communicate. They will tow, bill for the tow, mess up transmission on a four wheel drive, and stick that whole mess of theirs onto regular people. Because they can't be bother to even post a sign. Also to leave, we had to drive out an "in" gate, which apparently they leave the "in" gate permanently up for cars to drive through, then have a billing "out" gate that you have to swipe the card and be billed to leave. Like a trap. No signs when you come in, and no signs on their entire half of the P3 level. I am certain what they are doing is illegal, to tow without having any posted signs at all on their half of the garage. When I searched, Georgia law requires 12x18 inch no parking signs or a sign at the gate. Andaz Savannah Hyatt had a permanently open gate for entrance, closed gate for exit, and absolutely no signs on what the employee of Andaz said was the Andaz parking. And said he would have towed if my coworker weren't there in the car. Well, it's travelers and tourists, so Andaz Savannah Hyatt can get away with it, because they rob from people who don't live in the city. They break the law, and harm the community. This hotel is doing dirty. What else are they doing. Nope, nope, nope. Badly run and cannot be trusted. Even if you are not a customer, the Andaz Savannah Hyatt will harm you just for being nearby.

I would think that quiet hours for the pool would be 9 PM, but apparently they aren't. I believe they are 10 PM. There was a group of what appeared to be teenagers screaming nonstop for about three hours straight. I don't know, if I was staff at a hotel, I would probably tell them to keep it down after 8 PM, but that's just me. It sounds like the rooms on the other side of the hotel are really noisy as well, so I guess moving and wouldn't have done much. The valet took a really long time in the morning. I wouldn't have minded that if they would have told us in the beginning, but when you check in, they tell you to give them five minutes to retrieve your vehicle. It took the guy 20 minutes to respond to my request (I was first in the queue) and I had to go walk down and grab the car myself because I needed to leave immediately. It sounds like he was managing two properties, so not his fault. When not knowing where the valet was, the front desk wasn't helpful. She kind of dismissed the issue. She did end up calling him, but she didn't act like she cared about our situation at all in the beginning. It actually prompted us to take action and another gentleman waiting for his car went and looked in the valet garage to see if somebody was even there because he was having the same issues. Anyways, my first and last time staying at this hotel. Too many other options in the area. I really need a reliable valet, unfortunately.

After staying here, it's clear nothing has actually changed, which is disappointing. I was on the 5th floor facing Bay Street, which turns out to be a major truck route near the interstate. The AC unit was loud, so I turned it off since it was cool outside. That's when the real issue became obvious. There's a traffic light right by the hotel, so trucks constantly stop, idle, and then accelerate again. The noise was incredibly loud, to the point where it felt like I was standing right on the sidewalk. Sleeping was difficult. It also made me wonder about room assignments. If this has been a known issue for years, you'd think they'd avoid placing guests with status in those rooms. A quieter-facing room would have made a big difference. There were a few other issues: * Couldn't access the pool or jacuzzi with the digital key (only the gym worked) * The jacuzzi itself looked worn and in need of refinishing * No complimentary water in the room or lobby, which is surprising given the Savannah heat (though there were cookies and coffee downstairs) * Toilet seat was oddly shaped and uncomfortable * Bedside lamp outlets were loose and didn't hold a charger securely * The clock on the nightstand was extremely bright at night with no way to dim it On the positive side, the lobby has a nice fireplace, and I appreciated the bathroom nightlight. All the staff I encountered seemed very young, under 30, which made me wonder if most roles here are entry-level. I couldn't help but notice a consistent pattern in who was working which positions, while visiting the south. Overall, the biggest issue is the noise and the lack of real action on something that's been raised repeatedly over the years.
