Great check in experience with a complimentary glass of Rose'. Nice rooms and amenities- robes, slippers, Lather products. Great valet service. Tasty cocktails at the bar. Excellent location to walking everywhere. Nice fitness center. The only bummer is many of the rooms face each other looking over the roof. And if you make a mobile reservation you wont know until check in if your room has one or two King beds. I would stay here again, but I'd call to make the reservation to know the type of room I'm getting and where it faces. read more

Sadly enough, this hotel is dealing with serious THEFT ISSUES which management is unwilling to fix or even review. I recommend the reader staying elsewhere if you have any valuable items. My story below. We stayed at the Archer Hotel Napa mid December 2025. When departing the property, I left my Stetson cowboy hat in the room ($1K+). Realizing this the next day, I contacted the Archer Hotel who informed me that nothing was reported yet (with a promise for a follow up notice). After 3 weeks of silence, I reached out again and was told that staff had not found the hat in the room. I must point out that the hat was packed in a special-purpose large box; given the size, special packing, value, and nature of the item, it is inconceivable that it would have been discarded as trash. Evidently, it was stolen. I then escalated this issue to management who mostly ignored my requests (I can share various emails for those who care). I did learn that there is security footage but access or review of it was denied (and one would wonder why that was not done in December following my first call?). This makes it evident that management (GM Michael Pace and Director of Operations Patricia Wilson) prefer to turn a blind eye and as such indirectly approves of staff holding on to left-behind items of value. Again: this is theft. I am now left with filing a report with the Napa Police Department. read more

Second time staying here, still loved our stay! Beds are comfortable, pillows are goose down and the robes are 100% cotton!! Of course they have slippers and toiletries! Super convenient location if you're in Napa and like to walk to near by restaurants and shops. Beginning of June is still not too hot during the day and not so crowded. What an amazing view! We had 4 in our party on a Friday night. The Archer, rooftop terrace lounge, where you can eat and drink and enjoy music on a balcony, is absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend this venue for multiple reasons. It was warm during the day so we were dressed accordingly, however, when night fell, the temperature dropped and the cooler temperatures reached us. One of the staff members walked by, Vanessa, was quick to ask if we needed a throw blanket to cover our shoulders as well as the outdoor heater turned on...omg, customer service alone is worth visiting! We only ordered drinks and they were delicious! We had martinis, slightly dirty, and they were perfect! I would definitely return for food and drinks next time. read more

We stayed here for my birthday celebration and they made everything perfect. The service is excellent. The room was amazing and exactly what I wanted. The concierge desk was so helpful with assisting with scheduling a vineyard tour and recommend dinner reservations prior to our arrival and we loved every minute. I felt my birthday was valued here and I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat. The lobby is beautiful. Prime location with restaurants, shops, and bars in walking distance. And street parking isn't bad! The pool is nonexistent but the rooftop area is still nice. I loved the view from my room balcony and felt it was worth the price. read more

We spent a weekend at the Archer Hotel. The hotel is located in a convenient location in downtown Napa, close to shops, restaurants, wine tasking venues and the river walk. Archer definitely lives up to its reviews, this property is gorgeous. The suite was spacious and homey. Literally stayed in both nights and relaxed. The downtown area honestly had a few shops, bars and restaurants but it is just a few blocks. Used this is a home as while touring Napa and for that purpose it was a bit pricey. Checking/valet was a nightmare. The front desk associate seemed annoyed I had to check in (not busy, around 6:30 pm) didn't explain any of the amenities and just was dismissive of me. When I asked about the parking she told me to park on the street. The street? I researched the hotel had valet. She reluctantly told me Valet was $34/night and just to pull front. Mind you there was a row of cars some double parked. There was no front to pull up to. I waited over 15 mins several cars down from the front with no movement and no assistance. I finally called front desk again and circled around 4x before I was able to pull up front. The manager met us out front and was apologetic. The valet manager was also very sweet and helpful, took our bags up to our suite. The valet has in/out no option to self park and they take 8-10 mins every time you need your vehicle. Would I stay again, unlikely. Paid over $1k /night and the initial interaction soured me impression. At this price point I did not feel like a welcome guest. read more

Great location if you want to be in downtown Napa and be able to walk to restaurants near by etc, the valet parking is convenient too. The hotel is nice, modern, classy and quiet. Standard Rooms are simple, but above average. Bathroom is great except for the barn door which I never understand for a bathroom. Bed was definitely firm and the pillows were super soft. Not my ideal combo; wish the bed was softer for sure and they had foam pillows. Super soft and quality linens were really comfortable. Steakhouse bar left a little bit to be desired as did the service at check in, but otherwise everyone was super kind. Overall I think it's a great stay if you can get it for $300ish, I wouldn't pay more for the standard rooms. read more

We were impressed by the location and the ambiance of the hotel. Wish we had known there were no alternatives to valet parking. The location is perfect for walking to restaurants and tasting rooms along with amazing bakeries near by. Roof top bar closed earlier than expected so we never had a chance to go up there. The gym and spa are very nice. Great view when you're exercising. The standard room is nice but doesn't have a lot of space. Overall, clean, nice quality, and convenient location. I have no idea how much this cost since I was here for a business meeting. Pros: I don't say this often at all - their bed is very comfortable and perfectly firm. I rarely sleep well in a hotel and this was the exception (or I was that tired). Also, noise is very minimal (either the guests are extremely quiet, or the place is extremely well insulated). No door slammings waking you up all night long. Quirky, cute artwork in the hallways. Fresh spa water in the lobby. Comfortable, classy lobby and attached restaurant area where coffee is served in the AM. Near all the fun shops and restaurants in the main stretch, near oxbow market if you walk a bit. Cute little treats you get with evening turndown (see's lollies and chocolates, delicious caramels at arrival!) Cons: Heads up, no microwave or fridge (outside of the microfridge that is already stocked and has little space, also didn't really feel cold enough as a real fridge). Classy guests don't keep leftovers I guess? If you have leftovers, prepare for there to be nowhere to keep them. It's not a pool on the roof, it's 6 inches of cold water for your butt and toes. A bunch of us here thought it was more of a wading pool, but it's more like a narrow trough / giant shallow sink? with water loungers. Wasn't very useful, didn't see anyone using it. Coffee was complimentary but 2 of the dispensers were empty even early in the morning. Had to search for someone to flag to get it filled. Parking's kind of a pain if you want to be driving in / out at leisure - you'll need to use their valet and it takes 10-15 to get the vehicle out of wherever it's being kept. Or you can use public parking around the corner but not sure how much that is. read more

This hotel was beautiful, clean and updated. We did not want for anything at any point. You could also really tell that they made service a priority, every single hotel employee from front desk, to restaurant host, to the maids, to the waitstaff at the common area, you get the point everyone was happy, and friendly and it felt genuine! And the location was perfect, it was a 15-30 min drive to the wineries we wanted to visit so we would spend our days exploring and in the evening we would come back, valet the car, change, go down and enjoy the common area with live music and then walk up and down the area and visit the many, many, MANY wine bars and restaurants. It made for an absolutely perfect experience. We stayed 4 nights and we visited many areas and when we come back-we will be staying here again! read more

I have a mixed review for this hotel. The hotel has a beautiful lobby , nice rooms with a fireplace on the balcony, and a rooftop restaurant. All great. We did have a few pretty serious negatives to our experience tho . The day we pulled in, tired from a long road trip, it was pouring rain and we could not even find the front door. We walked all around the plaza containing their other businesses- coffee shop/restaurant etc and nearly gave up after walking all the way around the entire building. Once we found the front door , which is located on the Main Street the valet service ( which is required unless you want to park 3 blocks away ! ) was not very welcoming. We had lots of luggage and in the pouring rain we struggled to get our bags onto the cart, they did not help us at all. The guest services man Jorge was great and friendly and even upgraded us to a nicer room for our troubles. Once in the room we tried to hook up our Amazon fire stick to watch t.v. But the tv was flush against the wall and we could not reach the HDMI port. We called downstairs and they said they would send someone up to help. Half an hour went by and no one came so I called downstairs again , at which time i was told "our t.v.'s do not accommodate that' . That is a total lie , any tv with an HDMI port can be used with a fire stick, we guessed they were just too lazy/ busy to come up. The tv was very large , but was not even a smart tv . What the heck ???? Even a basic motel has a smart tv. We went down to the lobby bar to have some drinks and a snack . The hostess in the restaurant said we could sit anywhere in the lobby and someone would help us. We waiting for 20 minutes and no one even acknowledged us so we left . Other people had food and drinks so I don't know what that was about ..... We decided to just eat dinner on the rooftop and be done with this experience. The hostess was very uninspiring about her job and seated us. The dinner service was decent , it was pouring rain and we got a bit drizzled on between the louvres of the rooftop awning but overall dinner was ok. Due to the "snobby feel" of most of the staff and the lack of t.v. Options i would probably not stay here again. It's a shame because it was a nice location. read more

We've traveled to Napa and stayed in the Archer almost every year since 2013. Generally for 4-5 night and always in their best room ..... Archer Den, w/ balcony and a fireplace. Recently tried to book 5 nights this coming spring and told one night not available. I spoke to the front office mgr, Luke, and he said of course no problem. He switched me back to reservations and they still insisted this night was not available. Of course, trying to get in touch with "Luke" again was impossible and he never returned phone calls. Done with Archer. Plenty of nice places to stay in Napa where a customer's loyalty to a business is rewarded with loyalty to the customer in return. read more

I was worried about staying downtown since I'm very noise sensitive, but they have rooms that you can book that are marketed as "quiet" and don't face the street. I'm the lightest sleeper in the world and got good sleep here! Bed was comfortable, and I couldn't hear anything (I did request a top floor) The room was lovely, free fiji water, along with a stocked Nespresso bar. Wine and snacks in the coffee bar are extra. Room also came with two pairs of slippers. The lobby is beautiful and a nice place to chill and wait for others. Love that you get a glass of wine during check in. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Rooftop pool, in the morning I could see hot air balloons in the sky from the roof which was neat. Rooftop gym which I did go to, and has a good amount of cardio and weight equipment (along with free fruit!) One night we did go to to the rooftop restaurant/bar which was convenient and fun. Overall really great location, you're smack downtown walkable to all the shops and restaurants within minutes, but still a good night's sleep! read more

I stayed at the Archer over New Years. I decided to use their Valet service like I usually do at nice hotels. I had just purchased a vehicle that was in perfect condition. When I left the hotel I drove home 3 hours away. When I arrived I noticed that there were deep scratches along the back passenger side of my new car. It's been 4 months of trying to get the Archer to take responsibility for the damage their valet caused. They and their insurance company are denying responsibility because I didn't notice it at the time I checked out. They also refuse to share the video of the front of the hotel of my car on the day I departed that would prove their innocence that they claim. This hotel doesn't care about its guests. Steer clear of this hotel next time you're wanting to stay in downtown Napa. read more

My partner and I stayed here for my birthday trip to Napa and I'm so glad we did! All of the staff were hospitable and friendly throughout the entirety of our stay. When we were sipping drinks at their cool rooftop bar, Sky and Vine, one of the managers offered us blankets and asked if we would like to hang out by the warm fireplace. When we got to our room, I got excited to see the staff also left a bottle of wine for my birthday. The hotel was beautiful, clean and I loved the interior design. Booked here for an overnight for my husband's birthday and had a great stay! We spent a majority of our day exploring Santa Rosa, Petaluma, and around Napa before heading to the Archer for our check-in at 3pm. Our experience with valet parking and check-in was flawless. We were offered complimentary glasses of white wine upon securing our room keys (which we politely declined since my husband and I rarely drink), and then headed up for a quick siesta before going back out for dinner time. Unfortunately, we didn't use the drink or meal voucher that came with our booking, but it's nice to know that is included! After getting back from dinner, we checked out Sky & Vine, their rooftop bar, and just hung out for a little bit before deciding to turn in. The room was spacious and clean, and there was a nice little balcony area for us to hangout on as well. Such a nice space and a cozy getaway from home! Our checkout the next morning was super easy and seamless. We turned in our keys with the contactless drop off box, and then retrieved our car from valet out front. Then we were on our way to a quick breakfast at Winston's Cafe downtown before our trek back home. Looking forward to our next stay at the Archer! read more

Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Napa. We had a very spacious double king room. I've heard that some rooms can be small but that certainly wasn't our situation. The staff were friendly and pleasant and the decor in the rooms, lobby and conference / ball room areas was beautifully done. There's a rooftop restaurant open all year with heat lamps and a cover for the cooler or rainy days. We had lunch there upon arrival and it hit the spot. The lobby hosts Charlie Palmer's steakhouse. We sat at the bar one night for cocktails and a small meal. It's quite lively on Fridays and Saturdays. The location of the Archer was perfect for us as night activities were walkable which was welcome after driving up and down the main highway during the day for winery visits. The Archer hit it out of the park for my friend's birthday weekend in early January! Great hospitality. HUGE room (though they need real bathroom doors and not those dumb barn door things). We enjoyed the wine tasting in the lobby and even went to the hosting winery's property the next day. Location is great with fun window shopping (Anthropologie) nearby. Wish they had a more traditional jacuzzi or pool. Check in out and valet were all easy. This hotel knows how to host guests and I can't wait to book my next stay. read more

It was nice staying for my birthday because the hotel was so festive and cozy. Our room was cute! Our room was slightly bigger our last stay, but this room was nice. My wife and I stayed at the Archer for 3 nights and it was one of the most incredible experiences we have ever had! From the time we arrived the valet service was attentive and friendly. The front desk staff offered us complimentary Rose & were very welcoming. We reserved the sweet with balcony & fireplace which was spacious yet cozy, the king canopy bed was extremely comfortable! We ordered room service everyday & the staff were very kind, the food always came quickly and was cooked to perfection! The hotel is located in the heart of the city, wonderful location to walk around and explore regardless if we wanted to shop, bar hop, or have dinner everything was a short walk (5 minutes or less). The hotel provided wonderful turndown service so each evening we came back to our room the lighting and bed were set for a cozy night stay!
