This is often a concert venue on weekends - the concerts end by 10 pm and most first rooms are pretty well shielded from the noise. The restaurant, Olive & Hay, is top notch with beautiful plating and innovative flavor combinations. Lobby areas are spacious. The adjoining vineyard offers a pleasant short walk. The spa is very overpriced, but it's uniquely located inside a former underground wine cellar. There is ample parking, even during concerts. Staff were all very pleasant. Toiletries and bedding were nice quality and the room and shower were spacious.

I stayed at the Meritage Resort and Spa. The room was clean and was upgraded to the second floor with a balcony. The customer service was top not all the way through my trip. They have a few restaurants on site and a great adults only pool which is perfect when you just want to relax. Glad they also have an option of a family pool only as well. I will definitely be back soon.

The Meritage Resort and Spa is a beautiful resort and a nice place to stay while visiting Napa Valley. Upon check-in, guests are welcomed with a glass of champagne, which is a fun and festive touch and sets a celebratory tone right away. Around 5 PM, the resort offers a small wine tasting near the front desk. When I say wine tasting, I truly mean a sip--the pours were extremely minimal. The gentleman serving was noticeably more generous and friendly with another couple and even offered them a buy-one-get-one coupon for a winery tasting about 30 minutes away. When I asked what he was handing out, he seemed hesitant, but after I directly asked if I could have one as well, he did provide it. Overall, this interaction could have been handled better, and it would have been nice if all guests were made to feel equally welcomed and valued. We were there for an industry gala, and unfortunately the food fell short. The salad was very light on dressing, and the beef was dry and underwhelming. That said, the bartending team did a great job during the event and was one of the highlights of the evening. The next day, I stopped by the spa to inquire about services and pricing. Surprisingly, there was no printed price list available. I had to stand at the reception desk while the attendant read each service aloud. A 50-minute Swedish massage was quoted at around $250, and the overall lack of preparedness and professionalism didn't inspire confidence or make me want to book a treatment. On a positive note, housekeeping was excellent and kept the room very clean and tidy throughout the stay. Did an afternoon celebration wine tasting flight at their winery storefront across the way and it was enjoyable. We sat on large comfy lounge chairs inside and wasn't rushed to move onto the next tasting. Service was good. We had a nice lady with dark hair helping us. Overall, while the resort itself is lovely and Napa is always a fantastic experience, some aspects of service, food, and spa operations could use improvement to truly match the luxury atmosphere the property aims to provide.

I've been once back in '17 for a gifted massage at their Spa Terra, but most recently returned for my [new-to-me] company's 2025 holiday party held 12/6. Valet parking was covered by the company, and the valet service itself wasn't too bad/long of a wait. Check-in at the main lobby opened at 4PM, I arrived around 4:03PM and this took forever. I was in a line that snaked through the lobby past the bar and the ATM machine! This took almost 45 minutes just to get to one of four or so counters for hotel registration and room check-in. There were definitely at least two other company holiday parties concurrently that night at other areas of the resort. Since it was booked by corporate I didn't have full room details but ended up with a Meritage King room on the 2nd floor, $100 on card for incidentals. The Trinitas Cellars complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch. The shower did take awhile for the water to heat up though. The electric mirror with ring light and backlight was neat, and the magnified swivel mirror on the side. TV, wifi, Keurig were fine. Did not avail of the shuttle service to downtown Napa, the pool, fitness or wellness. There were optional reservations for ice skating rink, igloos, fire pits, bowling, or the Crush Lounge too. I also noticed events such as the pop-up Abominable Bar, photo keepsake experience, brunch with Santa, or tea with a Princess. I also noticed the chapel "Our Lady of the Grapes" but left on Sunday morning after the 9:30AM Mass had started. The reception/cocktail hour was held at the Oakville Terrace from 6:00-7:00PM, and the Dinner/Holiday Party was in the Carneros Ballroom from 7:00-11:30PM. The Oakville Terrace is a covered venue (tented for the cold weather) for up to 295 guests; the Carneros Ballroom can accommodate 800+ guests. The reception had a mix of sitting and standing tables, 3 separate open bars, a table for seating cards, and a photobooth setup. This did feel pretty crowded though. One open part of the tent to the outside, otherwise the rest was enclosed. I only got to try 2 of the passed appetizers going around. Once the ballroom doors opened at 7PM, seating was first-come, maybe 8-10 people per table? There was a DJ and dancefloor in the middle of the room too. The dinner was okay. For some reason our table received the salad before the bread, and the bread was handed out individually and not a basket for the table. We started with a beet salad with roasted beets, herbed goat cheese, compressed (?) watermelon, sliced radish, and citrus vinaigrette. The main course was either a meat, fish, or veggie dish. Upon original RSVP in October, the menu for the entrees was listed as: - Filet of Beef with sauteed brussels sprouts, chestnuts, wild mushroom, red wine essence - Sea Bass with celery root puree, grilled corn relish, organic mini rainbow carrots, smashed red potatoes and roasted garlic - Stuffed Portabello with julienned vegetables, butternut squash puree, and pressed potato. In reality, what we got was: - Prime New York with potato pave, caramelized cipollini, roasted broccolini, chimichurri sauce - Pan Seared Bass, celery root puree, glazed baby carrots, grilled artichoke, kaffir lime, beurre blanc - Stuffed Portabella I had the steak, sans steak knife. This was a struggle to cut and eat as the end cut was tough and fat not rendered, pretty rare. The one broccolini was overcooked compared to the other piece, and the potato pave was the best part. I'm not a huge fan of onion. I wish there was an herbed butter or something for the steak, or more potatoes. Dessert was a flourless chocolate cake with creme anglaise. The wine was flowing all night, either the chardonnay or cabernet. The entertainment was fun. 11AM checkout was simple with drop boxes for room keys.

Took a mother/daughter spa get-away to Napa. It has been awhile since I've stayed at Meritage but from what I remembered, I really liked their spa. They have two properties across from each other with plenty of amenities, wine bars, restaurants, spa, and activities, that you technically dont have to leave. When I checked-in at front desk, customer service could've been better. The young lady ran through information and it didn't really cover everything or was clear so I had to ask questions. Couldn't get past the fake smile so I came back the next day to hopefully get someone else and Eric was genuinely helpful which I appreciated. I also tried to get assistance at the concierge's desk on day 2 for other questions about the spa. But I was told by that lady concierge that she couldn't help me and she didn't know where the other concierge was. I dont want to hear what you cant do for me. So that's why I gave 3-stars because customer service needs improvement. Customer service is everything especially when you first arrive at a resort and when the whole purpose of a concierge desk is to help people. Back to the day we checked-in, there were no complementary water bottles in the room so I had to call twice because it took 3hrs to be delivered. Property is well kept from what I can see and our room was clean and comfy. Disappointed that Blend Cafe and Sora Napa was closed. But we improvised and visited the market. This resort is in the middle of office buildings so if you want a more secluded hotel, I suggest going towards St Helena. However, above the spa cave, there's a really nice hilltop to walk among the vineyards and also a chef's garden. It was a beautiful day in November so we enjoyed that.

Winery and market across the street very convenient

It's a pretty property with a pool, spa, restaurants, and its own vineyard. The rooms were comfortable and clean. I do wish the toiletries were better quality, the shampoo and conditioner felt a bit basic. The staff was friendly, and having a winery and store right across the street was super convenient. My friend booked a lot of rooms since we were celebrating a birthday, but she was charged for absolutely everything, with zero courtesy extended, which was disappointing considering how many rooms she booked. They were also building an ice-skating rink across the street, which would've been fun to try. Overall, it was a nice stay in a beautiful part of Napa Valley.

    Well appointed room.

Finishing up our fourth and last day here at Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa, CA. Here are some of our impressions. First, while some of the promotional materials may lead one to think otherwise, Meritage is not so much set in the hills of Napa as ensconced in a business park, a heck of a nice one though. First, transferring our car to the valet was smooth as silk, and after we checked in, a porter accompanied us to the room, where he explained some of our lodging's features. The room was wonderful, well laid out with a complementary bottle of wine, a microwave when we asked for it, the TV GREAT, all the amenities we needed. It was pretty quiet except for the noise outside where the trash was dealt with. On that note, we paid extra for a vineyard view, which was a bit of vineyard, some trash processing area, and then parking. We would not pay the upcharge again. At the end of a very long first day, our card key failed to work, causing us to go downstairs twice to fix it, with the staff finally sending a tech to change the batteries in our lock The Thanksgiving day's feast was an wonderful experience, even if the musicians took a while to get their sound levels (which should be background, not so loud that conversation is difficult) dialed in. Our first night's meal at Ember Steak, is reviewed elsewhere here in Yelp, please check it out. Our second night's meal was Olive and Hay, also reviewed elsewhere here in Yelp. On our third night, we went back to Ember to try different dishes and found the screaming, dish dropping, banging utensils on the table baby somewhat distracting. When the group left, it looked like a war zone on the floor where they had sat, one end to the other. The meal was exceptional, the staff attentive. Overall, we enjoyed the on site wine tasting, the tree lighting, the craft booths, the mini store, and the ambiance (if occasionally noisy, we might try room service in the future). We found the last day's High Tea most enjoyable and ended with a good feeling about Meritage for future visits to Napa during the holidays.

Overall this spa does serve its purpose. It does have various treatment options with a serenity room and eucalyptus steam room. I have been to multiple spas and this steam room is the best.

I would probably rate as 3.5 if I could. This is my third year in a row attending their annual New Year's eve party which I really enjoy! Great band, plenty of seating if you arrive on time, classy ,diverse attendees. This year I bought the NYE package with a room that includes the two party tickets, a king size bed, resort fee , late check out and self parking. Those perks were all great! However I was extremely disappointed with the location of the Bourdaux building we were placed in . It was a separate building from where the party was being held. You had to walk outside ( raining) to access the building. The room was spacious and renovated; however the elevator and surrounding areas is def dated. Some of the lighting didnt work in the room but was excellent in the bathroom. Great lighting and mirrors for makeup application. I wanted tne convenience of being close to my room during the event as well as the bar and restaurant. I would have asked to be moved however I could tell it would have been a hassle. This hotel also had a large amount of families that had lots of small children. Many of these kids were screaming while running up , and down the halls just for fun. I know not a fault of the hotel. Just disappointing that people cant be respectful of other paying guests. The front desk registration, and concierge were helpful and friendly and when we requested a wine opener they quickly brought one to our room.. As I love attending their NYE party I just want to make sure I get a room in a better location.

Unfortunately, this stay suggested otherwise. The most concerning issue occurred at 2:00 a.m., when the smoke alarm began chirping because of a low battery. After we called the front desk, a security guard arrived with a ladder but, instead of replacing the battery, removed the smoke alarm entirely, leaving our cottage without a functioning smoke alarm overnight. He also mentioned this happens often, which made the situation even more concerning. The next morning, despite having the Do Not Disturb light on and a 2:00 p.m. late checkout, housekeeping knocked on our door around 11:30 a.m. to clean the room. The room also showed the same maintenance and housekeeping issues we encountered on our previous visit: a broken lampshade, stained carpeting and furniture, and a folded "clean" towel with a crusted brown stain. Combined with the damaged bedding, stained furnishings, and patio umbrella from our first stay, our impression is that these are recurring issues rather than isolated oversights. That's especially disappointing because the public-facing aspects of the resort, including The Market and Farm, are excellent. Unfortunately, the accommodations did not reflect the standard we expect from a luxury resort. We won't be returning, especially with so many better-maintained options nearby.

Raymond remembered us from last year and that made the experience so much more personal. Also a shout out to the valet/bell hop staff. They are so fast, friendly, and helpful! Really appreciate them! The room was awesome! We had steam shower and an outdoor shower which was an upgrade from our room from last year. The fridge is stocked with water and Boylan cola if you need a pick me up. Love the spacious patio and his and her sinks. We spent the first day at the pool, which was very quiet and relaxing. The pool bar was closed but not an issue because you can just call the bar and they will bring you whatever you need. Also LOVE the pool top views. The grounds of this hotel are so serene, with art installations! Unfortunately, our precious Toby (fur baby) had a medical situation there and our stay was cut short. We had 3 nights planned and only got to stay 1. I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Raymond, the front office manager. You made our decision to leave an no brainer and we didn't have any stress about not staying the other 2 nights. We will forever be loyal to Bardessono, due to the love and care that was showed to us by you that morning while we were in distress. Also thank you to the staff who was there on the night shift for parking our car when we returned from the emergency vet at 3:30 AM. While we were sad to leave we most definitely are looking forward to the next time we come back.

There's also a fireplace inside and it heats up FAST. they have a coffee maker and a drink selection downstairs. they serve charcuterie and wine in the evening in the lobby. Though I will say that the wine tasted pretty bad, my partner and I were hoping to walk the property, but it should be known that there isn't much room to walk around. Nevertheless, they have areas to sit and enjoy enjoy the water. It's definitely a romantic place to stay very quiet. Although it's next to a busy road and the cars can sometimes get a bit noisy. They have a space outside to get massages by the water. Breakfast was delicious. FYI, there is no pool here so don't bother bringing your swimsuit. The folks who worked here had a positive attitude and were very accommodating. I think good service makes a big difference. They have two buildings on the property and each one has approximately six rooms I believe. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back here.

We stayed for 3 nights in their Brookwood suite and enjoyed ourselves relaxing and rejuvenating immensely. We had 2 massage treatments and both were administered excellently by by Colleen and Taci for me and by Arpita for my better half. While the Wine country massage was relaxing, the Ultimate Bliss was so de-stressing and enjoyable that I am ready to go for it once again. And their breakfast options that come included are limited but very very good and filling! Do try this place . We intend to come here more frequently now that we have confirmed that they have maintained their standards !

We flew into Sacramento Airport and made the drive to Napa, which took about an hour and fifteen minutes depending on traffic. Once we arrived, the location of the hotel immediately stood out. It sits just outside downtown Napa--about a 9‑minute walk or a quick 2‑minute drive--and the surrounding area is flat, safe, and very walkable. From the front entrance near the valet, a simple left turn leads you straight to Oxbow Public Market and the Napa Riverfront. The Napa Valley Wine Train station is also right next door, which adds a unique charm to the property. The hotel itself is built along the Napa River on land that was once part of the city's early railroad and milling district, and that history is reflected in the setting. Another highlight is that this Westin is one of the few with a Michelin‑star connection through its signature restaurant, La Toque. Upon arrival, valet greeted us immediately, as valet parking is the only option. Check‑in is located just to the right, and the first thing that caught my attention was the wall of wine bottles--a thoughtful detail that reflects Napa's identity as a premier wine region. The lobby is spacious, inviting, and beautifully designed, creating a strong sense of arrival. We stayed in room 2079, a superior one‑bedroom suite that felt more like a private residence than a typical hotel room. The suite included a dining table, a pull‑out couch, two televisions (one in the dining area and one in the bedroom), a full kitchen, and a private balcony overlooking the courtyard. The space was clean, comfortable, and well‑maintained. The bathroom was also impressive, and the waterfall showerhead quickly became one of my favorite features. Overall, the Westin Verasa Napa offered a comfortable and convenient stay with excellent access to downtown, the riverfront, and nearby attractions. The thoughtful design, spacious rooms, and ideal location made our New Year's visit smooth and enjoyable. It's a property that enhances the Napa experience in all the right ways.

Nice thing is it's conveniently located a few minutes away from downtown Napa. While it wasn't the most up to date hotel room, it did the job, and we would definitely come back.

Solage is nestled right on the Silverado Trail in the heart of Calistoga, and the location is unbeatable--you're basically three minutes from downtown and a short, scenic drive from St. Helena and Yountville. The property itself is stunning. It's got that modern wine-country vibe with about 100 detached studios spread across 20-plus acres. When you're sitting in one of the natural hot spring pools or hitting the cold dips at the spa, it really does feel like world-class luxury. Between the mud slides, the gravity chairs, and the fitness classes, you can easily spend your whole trip without leaving the gates. The Food: Solbar is a must. We had the seven-course New Year's Eve prix fixe with wine pairings over numerous years, and each were equally unique and incredible. It's that perfect balance of farm-to-table "health" food and total comfort dishes. For something more low-key, Picobar by the pool has some of the best Baja-style tacos I've had in NorCal. Plus, the whole place is super dog-friendly, which is a huge win for us. The Experience & Pro-Tip: Definitely book through AmEx Platinum if you can. We used the Fine Hotels + Resorts program and snagged a $300 credit, a late 4 p.m. checkout, and an automatic upgrade. I will say, even "perfect" places have their off moments. This year, despite requesting a room close to the spa months in advance (and confirming twice), they initially tucked us away at the far edge of the property. I wasn't thrilled about hiking across 22 acres in my robe and sandals! I spoke with the front desk, and the concierge actually went back and reviewed my recorded calls to verify the request. They did move us about 30 minutes later to a spot half the distance away, though it lacked the private fenced patio and fireplace of our original booking. I was too tired to keep fighting it and just wanted to get to the spa, so I settled in. Despite that hiccup, the service and the atmosphere here remain some of the best in the world. It's not cheap, but for the memories and the access to Napa's best vineyards, it's worth it every time. Can't wait to be back next year.

Compared to Stanly, the rates for rooms were more expensive while I felt the Stanly offered a much better campus. Despite the comments about the campus, the food onsite was pretty good and the reviews will be posted in their respective pages. The room service could have been better as they missed delivery of the pre-ordered breakfast in the morning as the night shift didn't properly fill in the order request and didn't get placed, but the team quickly remedied the situation and delivered not too long after our original request time. The rooms were comfy with a good layout, but the garden out back were covered with fences and it didn't feel as freeing as Stanly Ranch's rooms where the back patio is uncovered. Overall, I'd visit Stanly or Auberge du Soleil when going back to the Napa area.
