My family had a really great experience at this hotel. We attended the convention next door and were able to walk over every day (driving is a PIA) and enjoyed all the meeting rooms in the entry and such to spend time with people. I really liked when they had the grilled chicken breakfast available but didn't find it every morning. The room was comfortable and housekeeping did a really great job. read more

I stay in hotels often and am familiar with what is standard, excellent and sub-par. The Ramada Pigeon Forge North is most certainly sub par. 1). The siding is literally missing from the front of the building. Let's talk about the fact that a hotel has vinyl siding at all...not exactly standard in the hotel business. 2) The entire hotel, including the lobby and breakfast area is out dated. Many parts including the rooms and hallways are in disrepair. (To be fair, they have a note up in the lobby stating they are remodeling). The room numbers are pieces of paper on the door- I kid you not. 3). Speaking of remodeling, the elevator isn't working because, you guessed it, they are remodeling. How does this exactly jive with ADA? 4). Let's go back to the disrepair. The hallways are missing wallpaper or finished drywall (looks like rough spackle in parts) One part appears to have mold. I'm not saying it was mold because I'm not an expert but see the attached pics. There are chips in the wall. The bathtub/shower was outdated and looked dirty. The entire bathroom was outdated including a very old builder-grade faucet. The landscaping was not cared for around the entire building with weeds at the base of the building. The furniture in the room was old. The tv was old. There weren't usb plugs that I could find as is standard these days, at least by the bed night stand area. The oversize fridge was just placed in the corner with a microwave on top. It wasn't contained in a furniture center as is typical and looked very out of place. Now for the good. 1). The room, outside of being old appeared to be clean. 2). The staff at the front desk was very friendly. Even upon our checking out the same day (we didn't even spend one night) they were understanding and accommodating. The only reason we were booked here in the first place is because someone else booked it. I am a Diamond member at Hilton and very loyal to their hotel brands, because I don't deal with things like this. So could you stay here if it was cheaper and have a roof over your head in an apparently clean room? I think so. Just keep in mind everything else I said above. read more

We stayed in December the week of New Year's. It was a great experience. The room had 2 king beds, which is hard to find. There was plenty of room to walk around and relax. The breakfast everyday was nice and had good selections. The pool was a decent size and kept clean. We couldn't figure out if the whirlpool portion worked. But it was a nice activity for us to end each night. The staff was always very nice, super helpful and always at the front desk. The service staff were also very friendly and helped us to refresh towels. I would definitely recommend this hotel. We will be using it again when we return. read more

Don't expect to have WiFi The WiFi doesn't have enough bandwidth or simply doesn't function more than minutes at a time during the day. After 6pm when more people are attempting to get on the WiFi the network does not even show up. Update: after telling my wife on the phone that the Internet was fine - I went to the desk and discovered near the desk you can access Internet and suggested the the router is not functioning beyond a certain point. Then the same guy my wife had talked to said we are aware of the situation and they had a tech out before and it was supposed to have been fixed. Enough lies - that's enough. I would've given zero stars, but you cannot publish a review with zero stars. read more

Trying to check in and the front desks says there is no name or reservations for us bad start for them

I was pleasantly surprised with our first time stay here! I have driven by this location for years and didn't know what we would find on last minute booked trip. The lobby and breakfast bar were updated and very comfortable. The food looked good but we were off to other places (I have other reviews about that). I did snag an orange juice and land in a rocking chair out front to watch the traffic on the parkway. This location has a unique in they have front porch it is awesome! Additionally, he rooms are back from the Parkway and therefore you get very little "road noise". Our room was nice and spacious with a new and mini fridge and microwave. The bathroom had lots of counter space and while he shower could use some additional updating there was a great shower head and it was very clean! The beds were comfy the carpet in the room was new. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room had a bit of a "smell" that was probably residue from when people were allowed to smoke everywhere back in the day. If you want to go North out of the parking lot you are Golden...going South will take some maneuverings since you cannot get to a light easily. I'm sorry I didn't have a chance to take a dip in the pool. I would stay here again! read more

We checked into Ramada Inn North and put our stuff down and went out to enjoy Pigeon Forge. When we returned later that evening we noticed how dirty the room was. Stains on the floor, chairs, and bed. Food left in plain sight on the night stand and when I went to call, there was a short hair where the receiver gets placed. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because they refunded our money without question, but I would NEVER stay here!!!! read more

Stayed here for a week. Room was ok and location was good. Staff up fronts was very helpful and breakfast was decent. Only real complaint I had was housekeeping. Since we were there for a week the room was not cleaned every day which was fine. They only would clean the room and change the sheets if you asked. So I only asked once. But I did want new towels every day since I do not reuse towels at home so I am not going to reuse them in a hotel. I had to remind them almost every day about this and at least half the time I had to go to the front desk to get clean towels and if I wanted and soap, tissues, toilet paper, etc. So if not for that I would have probably given five stars. read more

***I hate this hotel***. They don't make your bed. They don't empty the garage cans. They don't vacuum the floor. The breakfast bar has so few items that it's not worth going. My wife asked them why the beds weren't made they said "We don't make beds". After 3rd or 4th day I asked them to change linen. They did change the beds but did not empty trash or vacuum floor. It makes no sense. They don't clean the toilet and they don't clean the sink. About the only thing they do to properly is to restock clean towels. The back door to hotel has key reader but opens without need of key. I honestly don't have much good to say. I don't know how they got the 8.4 rating on booking.com. Don't book here. read more

This was a last-minute stop for us because we couldn't get to our destination within reasonable time. I booked this online on Hotwire and we strolled in shortly thereafter. Staff was very courteous and helpful. A great sample of the southern hospitality! The breakfast is exactly the same as every other hotel, IMHO. They have a chatty bird in the lobby, which was fun to watch and listen to. Room was very clean and well stocked. The walls are a bit thin, I could hear our neighbor cough at times. Decent hotel. Clean and not too loud. Beds weren't very comfortable though. Pillows were super soft and comfy! Pool was fun but pretty busy. In the middle of everything, so the location was great. We quite enjoyed our stay. The front staff was even nice enough to give us batteries for our roku! WIFI was terrible. I liked the later check out time (11AM). The breakfast was pretty good (minus the fact that the juice machine was out of order). Nothing super special but it was good and my kid liked all the options. Cleaning staff was really on top of their game! Cleaning quickly once someone got up (trash wasn't kept up with though). Overall, good stay. Good for families with kids! read more

Great value for the price. Friendly English speaking staff throughout help make sure your stay is enjoyable. Heated indoor pool is open late, which was great for the kids after a day in the park. Not a pleasant place to stay. There was an awful skunk odor. Not team friendly either. If you are looking for somewhere to stay with a sports team this is NOT the place. Kids are harassed by the staff for being kids. They are fussed at for not having parent supervision and still fussed at when parents are standing there watching them. The hotel was clean, staff was nice, great location right at the beginning of the strip of Pigeon Forge. Pool was smaller than I had thought it would be and water is super warm since the hot tub is pretty much one of the corners of the pool. Sauna worked well too. Breakfast was great complete with cereals, juices, milk, muffins, toast, bagels, biscuits, gravy, sausage, waffles. boiled eggs, fruit, coffee, and yogurt. After a long morning attempting to make it home from our Gatlinburg vacation, we realized, because of car trouble, we needed to stay in town one more night. So I called several local hotels and the Ramada happened to be one. They had a reasonably priced room available for my husband and I. We were tired and frustrated and just wanted a room to sleep in comfortably for the night. We walked in and I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and smelled fine. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean as well. They had all the amenities we wanted, microwave, TV, fridge, coffee maker, and free wifi. Definitely would recommend to others. The breakfast was per usual when it comes to hotel breakfasts. They had hot food and bagels and cereal and such. Over all it's hired our needs and gave us a great nights rest. read more

I am highly disappointed in the Ramada Inn. My father has had 2 heart attacks in the past 2 weeks and they REFUSED to let me cancel my reservation. I understand that I booked through booking.com however my sister who also booked through there was allowed to cancel her reservation for the same days with no problem. They told me I had to go through booking to cancel but booking said it's up to the hotel. Heidi at the desk was very rude and had a "haha you're not getting your money back too bad" attitude the whole time I spoke with her. I will NEVER stay here again. If they cannot understand and work with a loyal customer that has had a family emergency and speak with compassion that is just awful and I intend to make sure everyone knows about this. Very nice hotel! Room was clean and had all the necessary appliances (fridge, microwave, etc.). Staff was very hospitable. There was a decent variety for the free breakfast. I only encountered two small issues: the bathroom door did not lock, and there was no towel rack. Otherwise, I had a great stay! read more

We headed to this Ramada last minute after weather changed our plans, and I realized on the drive there that I had booked the hotel for the wrong day. I called Priceline and spent 10 minutes getting nowhere. I made one 30 second call to the friendly Brad over at the Ramada, and he solved our issue with kindness, stressing that he "would never leave us out in the cold" and would have it figured out in no time.
