Couture is a terrible management company. When I moved out, I hired a cleaning service and paid almost $400 for the deep clean. The place was immaculate. Couture withheld $550 from my deposit for cleaning and told me the place was "disgusting." It wasn't. They also charged me $480 for "lawn cleanup." This was also a rip-off. They charged for not trimming the bushes exactly how they had been when I moved in. They will nickle and dime you for every.single.thing and lie to you. Do not use them for anything. read more

Worst Renting Experience of My Life. It was an absolute nightmare to have to deal with this company for as long as we did. Toni is the least professional leasing agent that I have ever worked with. She was incredibly rude during every conversation that we had from questions about maintenance to moving out. We went almost a week without hot water without the slightest apology from her or her agents. Her company does its best to be as secretive as possible with expectations for moving out in an effort to penny pinch as much as possible from your security deposit. I would never rent from her again and would highly encourage you to think twice before you find yourself in a similar situation. Renter beware. read more

I've been a happy renter with these fine people for 3 years now. I've said it before but it's absolutely worth saying again; these are the best people I've ever rented with, period. The rent is fair, and my home Is my favorite spot in the world. Also maintenance is super on point. No issue has taken more that a week for maintenance to come and fix the problem. I had to move away from town and leave the end of the lease up to my ex due to personal reasons and he claims he was told that everything was fine on the walkthrough by Nikki. Aside from being extremely rude and insensitive in general, Toni actually said to me, "if you're really so concerned about $350..." to me on the phone regarding the money she withheld form my security deposit for "cleaning fees." You can look at the text exchanges for the general idea, but very poor documentation and communication within this company. You're welcome for removing the phone number from the screenshots. I'm writing this review solely to warn other potential tenants (and property owners) so that folks can potentially make a more informed decision. I was a tenant with Couture Brokerage for many years and interacted with Toni-Lei Ponic frequently regarding the property. I had many negative experiences with Toni-Lei; I agree with past reviewers that she is a slumlord and that she is verbally abusive toward tenants-that was my experience as well. There were many issues at play during my time with Couture Brokerage. I witnessed Toni-Lei break many housing laws. Firstly, Toni-Lei was known to show up at the property unannounced, as well as do drive-bys and send maintenance workers over unannounced. She even showed up unannounced at our door in the early days of the pandemic when we were being ordered to stay home. Worstly, Toni-Lei did not provide any maintenance, repairs or upkeep to the property. When my family moved out, the property was dilapidated and in disrepair due to years of neglect by Couture Brokerage. There were no annual walk-throughs or inspections, and maintenance requests largely went ignored and unanswered. My family frequently spent our own money and made repairs on the home ourselves because we basically had to. When repairs were done, we had to repeatedly harass Toni and sometimes involve the homeowners, and repairs were not done properly or adequately. We were frequently told to contact repair companies and figure it out ourselves. We had things repaired that would be totally broken within two weeks of the "repairs". I don't believe Toni's maintenance team is properly trained and qualified to do the type of work required to maintain properties. I came to believe that Toni refuses to do maintenance and repairs while still billing property owners for services that were never completed. I have personally witnessed Toni-Lei's dishonesty in insisting to our former landlords that repairs had been done that had in fact not happened. After we informed the owners of this, Toni Lei said she would "check" and magically, she then claims they were not done and she'd get right on it. I also noticed that after a time the landlords were removed from their access to viewing the repair requests that we submitted in the tenant portal. I observed a lot of triangulation with Toni-Lei between tenants and owners, always blaming one party to the other, lying and manipulating both parties while keeping everyone in the dark about what's happening, in order to continue evading responsibility and making money without having to provide any of the work. As tenants, my family members were treated as employees of Toni-Lei, not customers paying her a lot of money to provide a service, adequate housing. Toni-Lei is a slumlord because she does not provide maintenance or repairs and she has no regard for whether or not the tenants she is responsible for even have basic utilities in their homes. She does not care if paying tenants go without running water, heat or air conditioning. Toni-Lei does not provide customer service; she is cruel and nasty and does not display basic human courtesy. Communication between all parties is not only poor, it's nearly absent completely. Toni-Lei's only objective seemed to be to collect rent and deposits, everything else was disregarded completely. When my family was moving out, Couture staff refused to attend a walkthrough, would not show up, and never communicated with us about it again. I would advise anyone who is able to to avoid working with Couture Brokerage. Any relationship formed with Toni-Lei will only work to serve her, you will most likely be exploited, not receive what you're paying for and left a bit worse for wear. read more

As many have said they are slum lords. I encourage all who do business with them to document everything! They lie. They kick people out for asking for repairs. My front door was falling apart. I was asked to leave because I asked it be fixed. They say it wasn't the reason but I was also given no reason. But I was asked to leave days after requesting my door to be fixed. They said a door was ordered. It's been over a year and the building still does not have a new door. The doors are so broken tenants have to have other tenants close them for them on the outside. When I moved in there was grass, a garden and the neighbors would do cook outs together. Once they took over they killed the grass and moved in not great people. One person would try to break in other units during the day! They verbally abuse tenants. When I called about my kitchen light not working, only when it rained I was told by Tony to change the light bulb. She was very rude about it. The ceiling was wet around the light, it only didn't work when it rained. It was never fixed. Want heating or cooling? You will wait a long time. They will also threaten to charge you to fix things. I am not the only person kicked out for asking for repairs. One persons swamp cooler made such loud noises I could hear it two units away. I was there when this person was on the phone with Toni. She was verbally abusive and asked this person to leave, again no reason given. But it was days after they asked the swamp cooler to he fixed. Its so well know current tenants will get kicked out for asking for repairs they have outside people fix things because they are scared to get kicked out. The vendors Couture use to fix things around the units are also unprofessional. They will leave a mess, disrespect you and not fix or clean things because its not on their list for the day. Once people were fighting in the common area (again this never happened before they took over) these people sprayed the fire extinguisher all over the laundry room. It took about a week to get cleaned up. There was powder everwhere. They also never clean the washers or laundry room. Get ready for roaches, other bugs and dirt to run right under your doors because they don't fit right. An electrical outlet didnt work in my bathroom. The person who came to "fix it" just looked at it with their eyes and knew exactly what the problem was. They put in a new outlet. I was told by Toni it was checked before they left, it never was. It also didnt work. I asked again for it to be fixed. A new person came by and told me the first person wired it wrong and it could have never worked. I have video of them saying this and showing me. So many issues I can't even write them all. They should not be in business. Pictures as proof as they state we are all "disgruntled". I also have a bunch of emails saved. I lived there for almost 7 years enjoyed most of it. The biggest problem I ever had was new neighbors but if they're not good and you and all the other neighbors cuz it's only seven apartment keep your eye on them make sure they're aware of you they leave your complex and it again becomes peaceful.​​​ read more

They are professional, friendly, and will work with you as a customer. On maintenance work they are very efficient on getting your orders done on a timely manner (meaning: two to three days max). If I do move to another location, I would definitely hope they are the company the owner has them as a property management. This is my experience with this company and I cannot speak for anyone else. I write this with experience with the brokerage in maintaining a property I own. I live out of state so I am relying on them to be the eyes and ears of what is going on at my home. That being said we have had several significant differences of opinion in how to run and follow up on rental discrepancies. Since when is the client that has a contract with the brokerage management company not the person you have the customer service with? It has always felt like the renter gets top priority and then a whole lot of extra charges are deducted from my rental check. I have always been under the impression that the rental manager was suppose to identify issues before sending the handyman and then charging me a lot of money at the end of the month. I am very disappointed that if a contract says certain things are not allowed on the property that they should not have those things on the property. I had to make an emergency trip to the area of my rental home and had to be the one to point out to the management company that this illegal stuff was going on! At the point i discovered the issue - it had been rented for 4 months. How is the property being watched? I would not recommend using this place to manage your property as there is just not a good understanding from the property manager what customer service is let alone good customer service. read more
