This company is trash after living in a property for almost 2 years and being a tenant who pays a rent on time every month I have been mistreated and I hope to warn people. After they took a rent check and cashed it before rent was due they charged both late and overdraft fees and have not corrected their mistake. Since living here I have had notices that on my door again because of their mistakes and I have had probations put on me again because of their mistakes. This company is money hungry and does not care about the tenants if you need to rent somewhere do not rent here. It is a waste of money and they do not care about you. Run do not walk away read more

Rent Builder property management? Did Realty Pro change its name because of a bad reputation? When looking for a property manager, my wife emailed REALTY PRO and told them what we were looking for and what we expected of the managers. Jim Meek, owner of "both" companies responded that they could not/would not do business with us. My mother is at a place in her life where downsizing and moving to the city is in her best interests. She had not rented an apartment since the late 1960s. I searched the local market using many different sites and search engines. Rentbuilder had more realistic options and matches. When mom decided on a place I held my breath and called Rentbuilder. Rite from the start Shannon was patient, accommodating, and above all else professional. When it came to the actual signing of the lease the process was super streamlined and easy. The property was as advertised and was in top condition thanks to Glen. All rental companies are very accommodating and responsive before the lease is signed. Where the real stars show themselves is after all the paperwork is done and you're in the new place. We looked at the property before hand and noticed a grade on the parking lot. Mom has limited mobility but felt like it would not be a problem. After about a week after she moved in it was apparent that the grade was too much for her. I called Shannon on Friday with our concerns and expected an answer in a few weeks. To my surprise on Monday afternoon Shannon had arranged for a safe spot in the parking lot to be striped and signed for handicapped parking. This is a 4 plex with 4 parking spaces. I have rented many an apartment in my day and have never experienced such responsibility and caring by a management company. I've been with Rent Builder for a little more than 6 months now and I have been so pleased with their service. They are professionals in every sense. They're prompt with their responses, their accounting is clear and consistent, and they are very communicative. I especially would like to give an extra star for the maintenance lead, Glen, who has been a godsend in dealing with my tenant. While the tenant they chose, is a great tenant on paper, his demands are why I can't be an active landlord and Glen has done a superb job of placating his many requests. I would give 0 stars to this company if I could. If you decide to rent from these people, please take THOROUGH pictures on move-in and move-out. I have pictures proving damages were at the property when I moved in and were the same when I moved out, and I have been charged almost half of my deposit. Management refuses to pay attention to the pictures that their maintenance manager took on move-in and move-out and keeps telling me I'm confused. I lived at the residence for 6 MONTHS and was never late on payment while I've been told a number of times management has never even been inside most of these properties. Everything went smoothly until I asked them to correct their mistake and refund me that portion of the held deposit. They are also completely unresponsive and refuse to talk with me over the phone on this matter. Be very cautious when renting from this company. read more

My wife and I moved to Albuquerque 2 1/2 years ago. We looked online for places to rent -- the draw back of course is that if you are unfamiliar with a city you have no idea what is a good place and what is not. We came out two weeks early to "scout" houses. While Realty Pro was on our list we look at about 50 other places and 10 other realtors. I must say that all those realtors pale be comparison to Realty Pro. First off there is a lot to be said about a private, small business. They can make decisions without calling the home office, are able to develop a relationship with clients, and move quickly when needed. The house we found had great views of the valley. It was roomy, clean and just exactly what the web listing said it was. Jim was on time (not the case with most of the other realtors) knew the property, knew the owners and was very professional. Anita in the office was able to answer every question within minutes -- not hours or days. Whenever there was an issue (plumbing, questions about the HOA, washer/dryer, etc) Realty Pro dealt with it expeditiously. If you are moving here I would strongly recommend Realty Pro. read more

I do not usually award 5 stars to any business I might be reviewing but in this case the " Good as it gets" is completely warranted. I moved to New Mexico from California at the beginning of the year to fire my property manager who was not taking care of my 31 rental units. He had run down most of my units even though my buildings were not in bad areas. I was fortunate enough to find Realty Pro and from the first interview I had with Jim, the owner, I knew that my troubles were over. He was brave enough to take on my buildings and the tenants who were destroying them, even though he knew that this would mean a lot of headaches for him and his Company. As soon as he took over, the quality of the people he rented to shifted dramatically for the better and now that I can share my burden of being a Landlord with someone as professional as Jim I feel so much more relaxed. He has also worked very hard at keeping the good tenants I had by giving them excellent service and by trying to make them feel welcome and appreciated; for that reason many have extended their leases and stayed on. But the credit should also be shared with the rest of the crew. Anita is a as meticulous as I am when dealing with monthly statements and with the financial aspect and health of my business. Glen is invaluable as a skilled coordinator and he has also become a trusted friend. Without Realty Pro I would be unable and unwilling to continue to be a Landlord.
