I found this fantastic company by asking Uncle Google. I almost ordered the rug online, but since there is a local store, thought I'd pop in and see what's what. I am so glad I did. I didn't want to waste my or the salesman's time, so I told John how much I had to spend and asked if the store carried anything I could afford. He assured me he had quite a few options. We sat down at the computer and viewed about a dozen rugs after I narrowed down what I wanted. He was able to tell me how long each rug would take to arrive and showed me samples of rugs made of the same material as the ones online, so I could get a feel for each one. He stayed in touch with the manufacturer to find out when the rug when be delivered to them. I paid for the in home delivery which was great to have done. They move furniture, measure the pad and make sure it is correct, place the rug on top, move furniture back, haul the old rug away. I would and have purchased another rug from them. For the first time in my life, I have decided to put some money into decorating my surroundings. I bought all new furniture - but none of the rugs they had on offer at the big dollar decorating store really warranted the prices they were charging. I figured out what company made the rugs for them and then found a much larger selection at RugStudio. I found a rug not offered at my store by the same company, similar colors and the same materials (wool and silk). It was VERY expensive. The one my decorator was offering was on close out. John offered to honor that price (different rug) and hold it for me essentially indefinitely as I have waited for my condo to be ready. Every email has been answered promptly. The selection is amazing the customer service is outstanding. It's the type of treatment I thought was a thing of the past. First things first; thank you John Garza for making our rug purchase relatively seamless. Like several of the reviewers we had not found the right rug and it was by chance that we came across the Rug Studio. From the first call with John we felt like we had chosen the right rug and John was reassuring that the process would go smoothly. Now it must be said that there were two glitches; first, the rug was on back order and we would have to wait and John was very clear about that. Then when then shipping date approached we reached out to John and he explained the rug was in port and waiting to be unloaded. When that date came we noticed online that the shipping date was postponed one week so we call John and selected another rug that was a close second when we made our original choice. The rug was in stock and in six days it arrived at our house in Northern California. The rug looks great and the quality and feel of the wool rug are great. Can't believe my good fortune in finding Rug Studio! John was so diligent in quickly understanding what I was going for in my home office, dining room and living room and then giving me beautiful, and very affordable options. Please do not go to this company. I bought a rug that was supposed to be 1/4 pile. There was no pile at all and it was the worse rug I had ever seen. I paid 496 dollars for a 6 by 9-foot rug that had no pile. I bought a similar rug for 96 dollars on Wayfair which I was replacing with this rug. They lied about the quality. It was an overpriced piece of junk. I also paid for stain resistance and despite having falsely advertised the quality of the rug, they refused to give me my money back for the stain resistance. This company has terrible customer service. Do not buy anything from them. You can see this from the other reviews. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. read more

This company is so helpful. Once you learn to search on their website, it focuses very well on what you need. If you can't find what you're looking for, the telephone staff is great. I needed a long narrow runner (less than 24" wide) and could not find it anywhere, including this site. During my discussions with them, they indicated they could cut both edges to fit, but that this could be tricky in terms of how the rug would look afterward. They went into their stacks of rugs and painstakingly measured a few of my rug choices to ensure that I would still have a bit of border after doing the cutting. One word of caution. The rug colors that you see on your computer are not very close to the actual colors (a problem with any site you will be on). However, I had the telephone staff take a snapshot with their cell phone of a particular rug and email the photo to me. Surprisingly, the colors in the photo were very close to the actual color.
