Couture Salon is a hidden gem in Pembroke Pines. Roberta is an expert when it comes to hair. She has a great eye and is very talented. I've told multiple friends about her and they are regulars now . The salon is hidden next to a dance studio and vet. It's across the street from an eye doctor. Roberta really listens to what you want and discusses it with you. Her prices are phenomenal. BE AWARE MILADYS*** Kicked me out today because she didn't like me asking how much time until my turn even though we had an appointment, she kicked me out and YELLED AT ME IN FRONT OF EVERYONE at the salon, Maria Eugenia came out to apologize and see if she could check on us. We had an appointment for my mom my sister and myself at 6:30pm today a Friday May 5th. We talked in and check in with her, she told us she was running behind with 3 clients, we check back with her to see if we could come back to have an approximate time to come back, she started YELLING SAYING SHE DIDNT KNOW AND THAT SHE WASNT GOING TO TAKE CARE OF US ANYMORE, TO GET OUT AND LEAVE. My family (my husband, 4 year old daughter and I) were harassed by a rude employee from this salon over a parking space. If you're not familiar with Silver Lakes Park area .. there are multiple sections with medical offices, a softball park, walking trail, tennis courts, playground, restaurants, a school, etc... When one section is full, other lots are used as overflow parking. The employee rushed up behind us in her car and said the parking lot is a private lot (it's not) and that she had a lot of clients and we shouldn't be parking there. The spot wasn't even in front of the business it was on the side of the lot. If it were private lot there would be signs stating it and tow companies would be having a field day there. She started yelling at my husband when he calmly told her that the lot was not a private lot/we walked away. She was yelling like a ratchet hoodrat in Spanglish and saying that he my husband was disrespectful. I hope the owner speaks to the staff about how they represent her business because I would never step foot in a place with employees like that. SORRY MILADYS that U DIDN'T receive a tip from me today because I would beat up myself up if I did knowing that I already paid for a HORRIBLE service. I was in the area visiting my mom n needed my roots done, just to touch up my grays. After Miladys she washed n toweled my hair dry, I flipped damp hair around(only at the roots of my hair) and noticed my grays were not covered completely. I brought it to her attention right away and she said it was the lighting in the salon that made me see my hair that way. I thought it was the most ridiculous thing I've heard. If I could see my hair in that lighting, imagine how it would be like in sunlight. Sure enough, my grays were not covered the same day it was done. I normally never write reviews, I had my hair cut, highlighted, and roots done. I brought in a photo with the color I was looking to get. Mylady the stylist she mixed some colors, did my highlights then roots. The color of the finish results was not what I was expecting. What I was expecting, was a platinum blonde. Mylady was very informative about the steps needed in order to keep the hair looking healthy. I've had so many compliments, I love the results. I highly recommend Mylady. read more

Don't get your hair done with Miladys I come here often to get my heart cut with my mom who gets her highlights. However, todays visit is probably the last. She works well but is bad when it comes to customer services. Today she was behind with her appointments. We had an appointment at 6:30pm and arrived around 10 minutes early. Because she was behind, when my mom asked how long she would take, she got mad and didn't control herself. She started yelling at my mom and said she wouldn't attend us anymore. We truly loved everything and everyone was accommodating and kind. However, there were a few disappointments...we weren't told we could wear bathing suits. This caused one of the ladies to be very uncomfortable. Also, when we first got to the locker room it was apparent they weren't ready for us. They were scrambling for robes and the belts to the robes. Most of us received robes that were MUCH to small and we weren't given belts which made it extremely difficult to keep the robes closed. They finally got it all together but it was a bit frustrating and that is something I'd rather not have before a spa day. Incredibly friendly place. Roberta did such an incredible job on my hair. Her daughter is very friendly as well. I really lucked out finding this place, in more ways than one. It's very much hidden and google maps had a difficult time pinpointing the location (it's beside the vet office!). I was about 10 minutes late, but the place is so NOT Miami, it was laid back, and Roberta had another lady she was finishing with. I enjoyed the conversation and the offer of coffee from Roberta's coworkers and other clientele. The price was unbelievable as well - much less than what I paid for a mediocre hair cut (including a very large tip) in a more "trendy" salon. Much like other reviewers, Roberta is very careful with the scissors. Her daughter said she wasn't "scissor happy", and those words couldn't have been more true. I looked down and expected to find several inches off of my hair, but no, it was shaped perfectly with only a needed trim. The only downfall for other people (I didn't mind at all, as I enjoyed the convos and the atmosphere) is that it is not a really time-restrictive place. My appointment was at 1:30, I got there at 1:40, and Roberta didn't start cutting my hair until a little after 2. If you're one of those people that expects the salon to cater to your time, you might want to look elsewhere, but I guarantee you won't get a better, more friendly place than Couture. read more
