Had my hair done last year by Maria and then Megan. Both were fantastic experiences. Went in yesterday after months of "hair stylist hopping" as I've been trying to find one closer to where I live. Just wanted a trim as my hair was extremely uneven. Amanda did a fantastic job without having to compromise much of the length and got a blow dry which didn't need a flatiron to get the same effect. Paid the almost same as the cost of blow drying and flat ironing with a master stylist... From the moment I walked in the experience was great! "Dana" was very welcoming, offering beverages and small courses to nibble on. Then my stylist, FATMA, began cutting my hair just as I asked her and she did an excellent job. This is a new salon in Weston/Sunrise, near the movie theater. The owner is Renee Zapata, who I love, and did my hair for years at Suite 104. Many of the staff comes from Suite 104. Renee is an amazing stylist/colorist and has been in the business for 20 years. She took over the old Helen Charles Salon in the plaza and will be fixing it up over the next few weeks. All the stylists are great, my boys love Cheryl, so you can't go wrong. I have tried other salons in the area, and they are very pretentious and snooty as well as over priced. Renee and the gang are like family, many of them are mother/daughters and make you feel at home. I came to this salon to get my hair color touched up coming out of quarantine. I have a short haircut with light blonde ends. I came in looking to color my new growth. The stylist ended up dying my hair a completely different color. It was more a sandy brown, caramel type of color. When I told her I was unhappy with it, She asked me what I expected her to do? She said my previous salon must use a higher developer, that she doesn't offer. While paying and expressing I was unhappy with my experience she said she would only charge me $120 vs the 150. After sitting in my car a few minutes I called inside and let her know once again how unhappy I am with the color and that I did not want a discount, I just wanted it to please be fixed before I have to go into work on Monday. They finally agreed to reschedule me for the following Tuesday with a different colorist. I literally had to wear a hat all weekend because the color was so hideous, I was embarrassed. When my appointment finally arrives on Tuesday the new stylist lets me know she doesn't want to damage my hair by coloring it anymore so they will just issue a refund. While I did receive a refund, I wasted my time and I'm still stuck trying to find someone capable of fix my hair without damaging it . I wish the original stylist would have told me it was outside of her capabilities. read more

Do not go to Cheryle. I was scammed. I have shoulder lengh hair and was quoted a price of $125 for full highlights in the salon. When I was all finished Cheryle charged me an extra $25 for putting a few more foils in the back as she says. In which she should have told me it was going to be extra when she was putting in "extra" foils in the back.. very sneaky move on her part. In 20 years of getting full highlights I never was charged more than what was quoted. The highlights were horrible! My right side looks like a zebra. My left side looks ok. Who knows what my back looks like. I believe she got lazy in the end and made big chunks on my right side. The color is a gold ugly color.. Worst hair experience ever! read more

I came to Salon One80 on a whim yesterday based on the yelp reviews. I live in downtown Miami but work not too far from the salon and I needed a hair appointment fast. The salons in miami all seem to have VERY mixed reviews and this one was solid. I saw one review about a price discrepancy so I made so to ask the price when I booked and I was charged exactly what I quoted. And for a pretty major hair cut and partial highlights $140 was a very fair price! Melissa cut and colored my hair and did a fantastic job!! She was sweet and very talented. They got me in the same day and I got exactly what I described! I would definitely go back! The girls that work here are like family to each other and all clearly love their jobs!
