This was my 4th stay in the area. I have stayed in many different cabins with beautiful views, this is just another one. However, I will not be returning to this airbnb nor will I recommend it to anyone. 1. Check in is at 3 pm, upon check in the rooms were not clean, the bathrooms were dirty, the living and dining room were not clean. If there is a delay the expectation is to inform your guests so they are aware to hold off on coming by for a bit. 2. Lack of communication from the host to the above and among other things. 3. **** 15 mins after check in 2 people walked in without knocking, waiting to be let in or identifying themselves. The people in my group and I were very confused and felt very unsafe as we were not alerted by the host anyone was coming by. Upon calling the host, you are routed to the managing department, i spoke to two individuals a young women who was not apologetic or helpful and then the manager Adam. Adam was also very rude and unapologetic. He told me that these were the cleaning ladies and that check in time was not gaurenteed at 3 pm and that we can go to the office for food while we wait. This was not ok as i already bought a ton of food for our stay and informed him that i was aware it was no gaurenteed but i did expect some sort of communication of this. He then hung up the phone on me or at least tried to. I then had to sit on the phone listening to him and his colleagues laugh at the situation. 4. Th people who walked in to clean were not wearing masks or following COVID 19 safety measures. 5. Sink in the kitchen did not drain properly deeming it unusable. Moreover the dishwasher did work and would leak. There are many other beautiful cabins in this area, id stear away from this one. read more

Only the best cabin rental in the whole Gaitlinburg area!!! Believe me, I searched over 100 cabin rental companies before picking this one. Big reasons to go rent a cabin with them are: 1. They have some of the biggest and most beautiful cabins in the area. (Ours was 4bdr., 3 bath with jacuzzi, fireplace, flat screens and pool table) 2. The staff were extremely professional 3. There are no hidden charges or fees like so many other companies 4. The website has photos that are current and accurate about each cabin. 5. Only 10 minutes to Pigeon Forge and 15 to Gatlinburg 6. Post Covid a poor business model. Poor customer response to customers issues, if they even respond to issues. Owner/manger has demonstrated he apparently does not deal with customers. Don't expect office to be open during the times posted after 500 pm. Usual find: Cabins are marginally stocked. Lights not working, bulbs out. Amenities not working properly or just don't work. Add on charges you are made aware of at check out but you find out about at check out. Good Luck. After 20 plus years I will look elsewhere. read more

Arrived to a dirty cabin. Chunks of dried mud on the floor at the front door, grease smeared stove top, crumbs on countertop, an inch of dust on ceiling fan, ground in grime on fridge and freezer doors, SMELLY pillows on beds. Huge disappointment. Couldn't make time to clean this place yet charge guests a $55 cleaning fee! I actually went to the store and bought Clorox wipes to clean. Will not return. The cabin was a wonderful place and provided a lot of memories for me and my family. When we travel back to The Smokies I will definitely be renting from here again. What a smooth check-in! We love the cabin we had, Absolute Heaven. Beautiful view, clean and with lots of extras. The cabin sleeps 6 comfortably and has 2 full bath with jacuzzi, fireplace and hot tub. Not for the vacationing family. This property was made for long term stayers only. We booked 7 months ago and we're kicked out of our spot we had picked since we have dogs who love water and we wanted a spot on the back away from most campers so they didn't hear so many noises. We didn't find out until we showed up and drove 700 miles. We were put into the only spot without a picnic table or fire pit and were told they had no other spaced available with 6+ spots empty the whole time. Front desk didn't care about how upset we were about preplanning and being de-prioritized. Also, the renters are nice but no families or kids and no one really hung outside. Lastly, the country setting is a yard with white fence and animal statues in it at the top of the camp ground, wasted space. I believe this place was incredibly over sold on the site. The cabin is not kept up at all. Couldn't make it down the driveway without bushes scratching the side of our truck. The subfloor in the master bedroom under the couch is gone and the floor looks like it has termite damage. Wood in certain areas looked mildewed and we woke up every day with sinus issues because of it. Did not seem like it was cleaned well. It looked like they just changed sheets and put new towels. No sweeping, cleaning of floors, or anything else. The pictures were deceiving. Will not be back. We stayed at Rustic Serenity. read more

My wife and I reviewed hundreds of different canin rentals in the Smoky Mountain area and we found that Cove Mountain had the best rates even in high season and a great selection of beautiful cabins to choose from They have a fantastic website. The best part is that the only take half deposit prior to your arrival and do not charge the remaining balance till you check out. Other rental companies wanted everything up front. You have many cabin options,such a mountain view, ( which is about 2000 ft elevation), valley, or a cabin next to the rivers. The staff at Cove mountain Resorts were outstanding and very friendly. Sorry to say this was a very disappointing stay with cove mountain realty. There add states it is a gorgeous, luxury furnished cabin Lover's Lookout. What a joke! The bathroom and shower totally disgusting. A red jacuzzi tub with a cheap shower head and flimsy pipe assembly for the curtain. If that wasn't bad enough a worm floats out from behind the drain. We went to the store to buy cleaning supplies to mop and clean the place. The burners on the stove were very lose and ill fitting which could pose a fire threat. I really had to wonder if the sheets were clean? The air filter and light fixtures were covered in dirt. After emailing them, the only response we got was an apology. They also stated they would change the add. HAS NOT HAPPENED!! I think they could do better then that. We were glad we had plans in town away from our cabin. I wrote this review to save others from wasting their money. Shame on them! read more

We rented Lovin' Logs, a three bedroom cabin for a week with family. This cabin was overall wonderful, the view was amazing and the 3 bedrooms comfortably fit the 3 grown up couples in our family. The hot tub was excellent and also had a great view. The place was overall clean and the kitchen was fairly well stocked. The only three points of complaint were: 1) the internet sucked. I know it's vacation but we did need to download books and do some work but were unable to. The Cove Mountain maintenance guy came out but couldn't figure it out. My husband ended up fixing it a little but it never worked well or for very long. Oh well, it was vacation. But they should deliver what was promised. 2) there were parental controls on the tv for anything over TV-14. There was dish network, so a lot of good movies on that I couldn't watch. I mean... 16 Candles? When I called to get the code they couldn't help me. Again... Oh well, it's vacation. And finally... 3) the floor vents were absolutely disgusting with dead bugs and dog hair. It was just a little gross. Otherwise we were happy! Views were beautiful, inside of the cabin was just as nice! read more

Wholly Smokies Cabin- The cabin was very clean and spacious. It was also well was well-furnished with dishes, blankets, etc. It did have some issues that need fixed. The hot tub looks clean at first, but once the jets are turned on you are able to see how dirty it is! The hot water in the upstairs jacuzzi tub didn't work, and the wi-fi didn't work. We called the office twice about this and it wasn't fixed ( it wouldn't have been an issue if we had phone service, but we didn't. This was our first time vacationing in TN and we were wanting to look up locations of places, things to do, etc). Also, the TV in one bedroom didn't work. Overall it was a nice place to stay. I would just recommend the owner fix these things to make for an even better. read more

We just got back from a week in our Cove Mountain cabin. High, high on a mountain we were able to unwind and relax (lol, until the bear got our car....but hey, it is the Smokies and we love bears) The staff of Cove Mountain is just wonderful, very professional and helpful. They even helped us on the phone when we got lost (apparently we can't use a map properly!) Minor problems at the cabin were handled immediately by a terrific maintenance staff. The website is easy to use, check in is a piece of cake, they even have a stocked lake nearby where the hubby and son could go fishing and give the girls some girl time alone. It was a great week all around and the cabin was just lovely. Thank you Cove Mountain staff and would recommend this rental company to anyone. And the "bear who ate our car" is one of the best vacation stories we will ever have to share!!!!! We will definately be back. read more

I had a great stay in Cozy Haven cabin (rented through Cove Mountain Resorts)! We were able to quickly and easily check in, the cabin was clean, and check out was a breeze. The resort and cabins were a bit of a drive (15-20 minutes) from Pigeon Forge, but that meant we had a quiet and relaxing stay and were able to overlook the mountains from our own hot tub. Cable and landlines were provided, but cell phone reception was spotty at best. The company quickly responded to my emails and answered all of my questions before arrival. I would definitely rent with them again! read more

Cove Mountain staff have attitudes like a rock. We have stayed with them for over 30 years and over $50k in rental fees. Everytime something is wrong or not working correctly at the cabin. one year, indoor Jacuzzi did not work - called for repair took 2 days; no firewood - called first day got it last day even after repeated calls. Had to buy my own - they would not reimburse; ceiling fan came loose and hit my daughter in the head; outdoor hot not clean - called and never came out. I had to drain it and buy my own chemicals; bugs and small scorpions throughout cabin always - can only assume maid is blind - my wife cleans the cabin at every stay and does a better job; NEVER changes door access code. Great concern for the guests safety and property. It's been the same for over 20 years!; screen doors broken and do not work.; outside light post hasn't worked in 20 years; filthy dirt and layers of dust on cabin windows and beams - vacuum anyone? No bear resistant trash containers like cabins next door. Bear tried to come through my wife's bedroom window. Complain and all you get is lip service. Please call us. I have over 10 times - no one available. Left messages for the Manager to return my calls - NEVER RECEIVED ONE. Pathetic. They have all of my phone numbers - make some type of effort and call me for once. 30+ year old customer that never asked too much but just finally has had it with the repairs, filth and excuses. read more

We have rented from Cove Mountain Resorts for years. This time the cabin we rented water quit while we were showering. Called immediately the office. Continued to call every hour and asked if we could be moved to another cabin but none were available. We had a wedding party showing up that day and no water to bath, brush our teeth or use the bathroom. After 8 hours we called the manager of Cove Mountain "Mike" and asked what our options were and was told we could look for another Cabin with another company but everywhere was probably booked. So 12 people are in a cabin all day with no water, finally almost 12 hours later we got water back. We asked Manager Mike if we could get a little money back on our rental for the stress and aggravation of loosing a day with no water and was told NO. I thought this company was better than that, but we rented their cabin for almost $2000 and could not even get $100 refunded for a day lost. So, they are a good rental company unless you have a problem because we were told it wasn't their fault about the water it was the utility company. Very dissapointed with them, resolving this matter. read more

This is by far the best cabin rental company in the Smokey's! I searched all the ones I could find on the internet and none came close to Cove Mountain. They have the best prices, but I would rent from them even if they didn't because they are so easy to do business with. I sent a few emails to them asking questions, and they always answered with a few hours, sometimes less. The staff is very friendly and professional. Their rental policy is the best also. There are no hidden fees, and a very fair cancellation policy should you need to use it. You can count on the final price they give you being the price you pay - no surprises. We've stayed there before in Campfire Memories and loved the cabin. It was very clean when we arrived and spacious. We enjoyed the fire pit. Our granddaughter loved the pool and the concession stand there. We visit this area as a family every 2 or 3 years and I will not look anywhere else when reserving a cabin. I stayed in the Mountain Springs Cabin of Cove Mountain Resorts over this past weekend with friends. We arrived at 3:00pm and were told the guy would be out soon to turn on the fireplace. When we arrived at the cabin it was cold at like 50° and only increased like 3° in a few hours. Long story short, the man they sent admitted to turning off the heat and that he didnt know what he was doing. Hours later, a heating & air company came. When the fireplace man came it was very late and he started vacuuming/blowing debris without warning. We had to ask him to stop. The heat never fully worked and the cabin temperature fluctuated. Needless to say, I got sick which made my stay more miserable. While using the bathroom that night, we noticed a rotten egg smell. The next morning, they sent the same man out who said the smell will go away. It didn't! We had to have set a record for the number of times a renter called the office. When reporting our grievances and asking about compensation, they said there's nothing they can do. There was no acknowledgment, apology, empathy, or concern. It's like they were saying, Oh well, you already paid so what? .... Very poor customer service!!! We will never stay with Cove Mountain again....and we were repeat customers. read more

Walking into Heavenly Host I was immediately disappointed. The online photos are very misleading. The kitchen sink was leaking and one of the deck boards was not properly nailed/screwed down. The kitchen drawers and cabinets were full of unusable pans and utensils that need to be thrown away. I had to scrambled eggs in a sauce pan because all of the skillets were scratched and most of the utensils were either burned or dirty. I cleaned three of the drawers just trying to find something I could use. There were large balls of dust and pieces of a mop all over. The monopoly game was missing properties. The shower head was old and the shower curtain bar was bent. There was no blow dryer, but there was two irons which I didn't use. The coffee maker had been glued and the top was sticky. The sweeper was sitting on top of a pillow in the bedroom closet. The closest was filled with extra bedding so there was no room for anything else. They did send the maintenance guy to fix the leaking faucet and he also tried to fix the deck board. He was very nice. The view wasn't very good and the deck furniture was rough and not able to sit on. They had the nerve to ask us to leave a donation for the maid. I say fire her! I did call the office and tell them that I was not happy but all she said was that she was sorry. I will not stay with them again. I could not get cell phone service let alone Internet. read more

Warning! This cabin management company does NOT change the security codes on the cabins. The code has been the same for years. We just found this out. Cove Mountain Resorts obviously do not care about the security of your personal belongings or you! They expect YOU to tell them what is wrong with a cabin if you find anything instead of doing their job and inspect the cabin before you start your stay. Twice we had no firewood. I reported it same day arriving - waited and waited until I had to buy my own. They kept promising next day but both times it did not show up until the day before we checked out. This last stay 3 screens were ripped out, live roaches found and piles of dead spiders in stairs and basement. Outside hot tub disgusting and had not been treated from previous renters. Time before the inside hot tub did not work - took plumber two days to fix interupting our vacation. Very rude staff. When we got home I received a nasty phone call claiming we had dogs. We absolutely did not. Maid just got upset because I didn't leave her a tip because of the poor condition of the cabin. Spider webs and dead bugs everywhere. She must be blind. At $1500/wk I expect it to be clean. I have requested several times to speak to a manager or owner. Each time they assured me one would call the next day. Still waiting. Meanwhile I have had to block them from billing every card on file with them. So sad as we have stayed with them over 60 times the past 30 years and have not had a problem until the last few years. Over $50k of rentals! They do not know about customer service. Too many other cabin companies offering 2 for 2 stays, 3 for 3, etc. The cabin sales and rental biz has been devastated in TN since the crash 5-6 years ago. You would think someone would give a damn at CMR but try to find anyone that cares. Do NOT stay with Cove Mountains Resorts. If you do insist on the door code being changed and that they do NOT retain your credit card information. You just may end up with them attempting to slip through charges months later. Oh, and plan on taking your own firewood or a sharp axe. read more

stayed at cove mountain realty and resorts with a some friends. arrived at 3pm. at check in they said the fireplace guy was on the way. get in the cabin, it was really nice, but it was freezing 50 degrees. we cut the heat on and of course the fireplace didn't work. 3 hrs later, it was still freezing. it onlu went up 3 degerees in 3 hrs. we called the front desk and they said the fireplace guy was in the way after his call, which is what they said 3hrs ago. they also said they were sending someone to check the heat. he didn't come till 8,and he didn't know what he was doing. we called the front desk again and they said they were calling heading and air company. they came around 9, but the fireplace guy still haven't come. he fixed the heat 45 min later the fireplace guy came, but he stirred up something in the air. so then my friend got sick. so w we finally went to take a shower after it heated up, and there was a rotten egg smell coming from water. we called about that. they sent the same guy from earlier,who again didn't know what he was doing. called the next day to see about getting a discount or something after all we've been through and with my friend getting sick, and they would not compensate us with anything. not a free night stay, discount, or anything. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! i would not recommend them to anyone. i have to wonder if they didn't help us because of our skin color. read more
