I'm impressed at how awful and unresponsive David actually is! It's truly amazing. I have been trying to see an apartment and he knows I would be driving 7 hours roundtrip and his only response was "text me when you get here" He does not return calls, texts, or emails. Girl week. Horrible house. This had to be the worst rentals I have ever stayed . when you walked in it Smelled mildewy. You could only use the shower. The bathtub was useless , you couldn't even turn the water on for the bathtub and if you looked at it you wouldn't want to sit in it anyway. There was a big closet in the bathroom that had brooms vacuum cleaner and other things in it with no door ,So you had to look at it. There was a dead roach underneath of the sofa ,that had been there for a while, which means no one's sweeping under there. The laundry room was down Some steps that you might break your neck on one of the girls tripped twice on the steps. All I can say is thank God that I took my asthma medicine, which I almost didn't, because the smell of the mildew made me have to use my inhaler everyday. Both of there was a hot tub in a small area with two chairs but the house says it will house seven. There's no way you can get seven chairs out there with the hot tub in that small area. Why they backyard is not being utilized? I don't know because it would have been a much bigger space. It was a girls trip. I did not do the reservation I would not have never booked that place. I had a very good experience with David Lishner. I love the apartment I rented through him and he was very helpful during the process: picked me up from the station, ferried the paperwork back and forth between me and the landlord, showed me important places in my new neighborhood, and brought me my keys. He even spoke to the mailperson to make sure she knew I'd be moving in and getting mail! I had almost given up finding anywhere to rent in this area - it is almost impossible during COVID. I am so glad I did not pay attention to the other reviews I saw here and gave David a chance to help me, which he did, in spades. My opinion is that David is a very reliable and honest guy, and I am giving him five stars as my way of thanking him. read more

Searching for a pet friendly apartment rental in this area is stressful, frustrating and discouraging even when you have good credit, income and references. Adding to that, there are a lot of fake ads on Craigslist and a lot of brokers who perhaps should've considered another profession. Case in point, whomever is answering the phones at Cove Realty. I called to inquire if one of their listings on Craigslist was available & pet friendly. The man on the other end was barely audible, mumbled something about having maybe another listing elsewhere and before I could say a word said "I'll call you back" and hung up. Considering the minimal work and time a broker contributes to earn a commission, it should at least go to someone reputable who actually deserves your hard earned money. -Let this be proof to take internet reviews with a grain of salt. I've recently used Cove Realty to find my now current apartment and the experience has been nothing but wonderful. I first came across Clove Realty while contacting about a Craigslist listing I had seen. The realtor, David Lipsher answered me promptly and was extremely helpful. I am a graduate student and was looking for an apartment near school. When I explained this to David, he actually presented an even better apartment for cheaper rent and much closer to the college campus than the listing I had originally contacted him about. I was really impressed because as a realtor, it would be in his best interest to rent me the more expensive apartment. However, this was not the case. David was extremely honest and upfront about the apartment and answered all my emails amazingly quick. He was flexible with his schedule and we were able to schedule a viewing on a Sunday without any problem. When I saw the apartment in person, I knew immediately it was perfect for me. The place was clean and well kept; no surprises at all. I am shocked and skeptical about some of the reviews posted here. Called this gem of an establishment to inquire about an apt I had seen on the ol' Craigslist. The gentleman who answered the phone told me the apt I had seen was rented and then immediately hung up. In slow-mo... r-e-n-t-e-d *click*. So, I called back bc I wanted to see if they had any other apartments available in the area. No one answered. This is 2 seconds later. At first David seemed like a nice old man. My fiancé & I were excited because the apartment he showed us was perfect for us. As we walked through the apartment, he proceeded to tell us how Manhasset was too "WASPY" for his taste and that the "Asians were taking over". We politely smiled and disregarded his comments. Nevertheless, we called him the next day to ask if he spoke to the owner yet. He replied "I'll call you back"...then hung up. We were surprised at this, because he seemed pretty nice when we met him. We waited a day then called him back again... This time he said "I still did not speak to the home owners yet".. Then hung up again. During the showing we said nothing even remotely controversial, so I don't know how he came to this decision. At this point I got angry and tried to call & ask him why he was being rude. He continued to answer and ask who it is, then immediately hang-up. I guess he doesn't know how to use caller-ID (he is like 70 years old). Do not call this guy... He is extremely rude, unprofessional, and racist to boot. read more

Avoid at all costs! David Lipsher showed us 3 apartments about a year ago, one of which we ended up renting, and after a year of living there we found out that a lot of what he promised us was not true! He said we'd never see the landlord because he had a private entrance, but that was a lie, we used the same entrance and ran into him almost every day. The landlord was also a nightmare, and we can thank David for setting us up with him. We called David several times with issues regarding the move-in date, and he just dismissed us, he said it's between us and the landlord. I am furious that we had to pay him a month's rent as commission for doing absolutely NOTHING!! read more
