We had a very good experience with Cover-Care. One side of our automatic pool cover ripped away from the track cable. We called the company that initially installed the cover (not Cover-Care) and they were very slow in responding and eventually said the cover would have to be replaced. Got the same answer from a couple of other places. Then I called Cover-Care. They came up with a fair estimate for repairing the cover, based on the pictures I sent them (the first four photos). As you can see, the rip is pretty long--about 25' or almost the entire length of the pool. After I accepted the estimate, they came out within a day and got it done in one visit, so it's good as new (the last two photos). It was a pleasure dealing with Francisco R. who always answers his phone or calls back promptly. I'm very happy with the quality of the work and the speed with which it was done. read more

Our pool cover seemed to leaking water and needed cleaning. Carlos arrived, was immediately able to diagnose that it wasn't a cover leak but the orientation of the metal end bar that anchors the cover as it crosses the pool, and fixed it. Our cover now is dry, beautifully clean and conditioned. Carlos was prompt, friendly, and did a great job for us. Can't recommend him, and Cover Care, highly enough. Help!! My pool cover will close, but it won't open and my wife is looking at me sideways, cuz every time I try to remedy the situation, I only makes things worse... ugh And, swimming is the one thing we look forward to at the end of everyday. I built my pool in 2006 & installed a new pool cover. When it was time to clean the cover, clean the trap, check the pulleys, pool cover installer recommended I call DALLIN LARGE, the owner of COVER CARE. He sent two young guys out and they not only cleaned, washed, scrubbed, conditioned my cover, they also lubricated the 2 tracks, spotlessly cleaned the trap, checked the tension for a smooth, noiseless pool cover retraction, and checked the motor and water drainage pipe from the trap out to the street. These guys R truly professionals. They showed up on time, got right to work, spent anywhere between 1&1/2-2 hours on my 36' x 12' pool cover. Cover Care pool company is BEYOND FABULOUS! Their technician Austin Glick came out to our property super quick after a major storm destroyed our current auto cover from another supplier. He was so amazing to work with, giving us the full report of damage to the current cover and walking us through our options. Due to the extensive damage on our existing cover we needed to have a full replacement- and although we were not excited to go through a tornado to get a new cover- after reading all the great reviews we chose Cover Care -and are sure glad we did!! Our family purchased a house with a pool in LA. Wanted the existing cover cleaned and a full maintenance. I was sent the pricing and was told that the price could change depending on what the techs find - understandable. To our surprise the waiver we had to sign/verbally agree to RELEASE's them (Cover Care) of ANY and ALL LIABILITY. Really? When we asked the question it was due to the simple fact that the company has NO insurance at all. This is wrong on so many levels. They can come to your house do work, break stones, tear up grass or do any type of damage and US the homeowner has NO recourse for any legal right to demand compensation or payment. They stated that if a situation happened that we could use OUR homeowners. I will never recommend this company to anyone I know. Dallin there is NO way to song and dance around that. What YOU are doing is morally and ethically WRONG!! I will be contacting the Contractors State License Board read more

Our very expensive electric pool cover wasn't opening and closing properly, and it looked horrible after the long winter. Our pool guy said it needed maintenance. I called a few places, but even when they said they would come, they flaked out, didn't show. The pool guy then recommended Cover Care. They came out the next day. The young man was very knowledgeable. He was here about six hours. He cleaned the debris from under the metal runner, adjusted the ropes, adjusted the pin, and totally cleaned the cover. It looks like new again, and works perfectly. It not inexpensive, but we are very happy, and will have maintenance in a regular basis now. read more

I am so glad to read that they have better customer service than what I had. I was told that it was best to text all my info to them and set the appointment up that way...I thought ok, must be the new way of doing business. So we went back and forth about what the quote might be for broken ropes on the pool cover. ( I had another company come out just to make sure I do my due diligence to get the best company for the job at hand). So the company also has you sign a waiver before they even step foot on your property. It's the night before my appointment so I thought I better check to make sure they don't have anything else I should know about and Daillin said there's a service fee of $165. The other company did not charge for the same assessment. So when I told him I wasn't told this info and that I've been texting someone with no name, he said well and I'm quoting ... we are one of only 4 companies that do this and this is what it is. Arrogant and just did not card about who, what, where. I was truly hoping to get them out to fix the problem but I'll keep looking for a more professional company. Daillin even asked me "well what can we do for you" and when I said at least lower the price for the assessment or waive it all together, he said " he was going to hang up on me". Why bother asking if you do t want to hear the answer? Just a rude person and since there's apparently a monopoly in this field... good luck read more

Within less than 24 hours we went from frustrated and discouraged after finding our installed automatic cover failed to open to feeling truly blessed we hung on to Cover Care's mailing. The opening and closing of the cover has been a source of angst for the last two seasons but Jeff quickly confirmed our suspicions of an improper install and immediately started to fix what we feared beyond fixing. It was unbelievable that they were able to schedule service the next day (I suspect this time of year phones ringing off the hook) but sent a knowledgeable and beyond talented technician (Jeff). Given the state of our cover on Wednesday transformed to almost perfection on Thursday for a beyond fair cost leaves us certain to use this company for all our cover needs. I have been using Cover Care since we put in a pool and Coverstar pool cover about 7 years ago. The pool cover was the best decision I have ever made! Not only does the pool self heat in the summer by the cover warming up/keeping in the heat, but very little water evaporates as well as cleaning being much easier. All that said, Cover Care has been a consistent go-to for our maintenance of the pool cover. We are on the end of the cover life, but every six months, we have no problem with scheduling an appointment and having their staff come out to put it back in a "like new" state . Their crew is very capable and when they see any potential issues, they have been great to point out where they see potential issues, and giving us reasonable time periods and quotes as to what we need to fix before little problems become big. So happy I called Cover Care. My pool cover was out of warranty, so the original installer referred me to Cover Care. I am extremely happy with their service. They explained what work needed to be done immediately and what work was recommended but not urgent. I checked with our pool man, and he confirmed that the price quoted was very reasonable. A few weeks after the work was completed, I realized that the magnet for the fountain had gotten messed up. Cover Care very courteously and promptly sent someone to fix the problem and everything is working great now. Responsiveness, follow-through, fair pricing, punctuality and great customer service are what I was searching for and Cover Care delivered on all points. My journey to find a new company to take care of my automatic pool cover (Cover Star brand) took a lot of research and discussions with many providers. Living in Orange County, CA you would think there are many who could provide a high quality service, but it's surprisingly harder than you think. I set a very high bar for anyone who plans to do work on my home. Dallin, the owner was extremely responsive with call-backs, email responses, and estimates. When my previous service provider told me last winter that I needed a new motor because the cover kept getting stuck I decided to close the pool and save up the $ for this high ticket item ($1000 - $1400 labor included). Summer was upon us so we set out to find a new provider who could set us up with a new motor and take over the reigns of maintenance when required. We had lost faith in our previous provider. Dallin provided a quote for a motor and we made the purchase. We wanted it in a hurry so he made arrangement for me to meet up with Frank, a technician, on his way to another job, on a Saturday morning no less.(They don't usually work on Sat). This was going the extra mile, literally and figuratively. We (not Cover Care) installed the motor (my electrician/handyman) with the hope that it would fix the problem of our cover being closed and unable to open. Well, to our disappointment and anger, the cover still got stuck in the same place it did when our previous provider told us we needed a new motor. Frustration was at a fevered pitch at this point because we were operating on erroneous information, and poor diagnostic skills of the previous provider. He had visited us 3 times for the same problem and charged us over-inflated fees and it NEVER GOT FIXED. That's when he said it was the motor. So, a few days after we installed the motor I contacted Dallin to see if we could have someone come to our house to troubleshoot the problem. I told him our story and he offered to take the motor back. This was an awesome offer on his part but unfortunately the old motor had been dismantled while talking to 6 different "motor guys" to see if they could rebuild the motor. (Note: no one will do it so don't try). He had me speak to Heidi to schedule a visit and Frank, the tech, came out a few days later. Frank is very skilled at troubleshooting and has been working on pool covers for many years. His obvious knowledge, and positive demeanor were a welcome relief. He started with the most simple solutions rather than go straight to high-priced solutions which I GREATLY APPRECIATED. He focused on the tracks and told me that the kind of tracks we have (on top of the pool coping with no curved rail to protect them) are problematic when it comes to dirt accumulating. I told him that we kept the tracks clean, or at least we thought we did. :). As he worked (in 90+ degree weather) on both sides of the cover at the ends where the wheels and sliders are I didn't think he was on the right path. To my amazement, followed with an apology to Frank for doubting him, Frank worked and worked and sprayed the tracks clean. We worked together, me flipping the cover - uncover switch as he sprayed and worked to get it a little more open, then all the way, then opening and closing without a pause, stick, or snag - SOMETHING THAT WE HAVEN'T SEEN IN OVER 3 YEARS since an ill-fitting vinyl replacement cover was installed. He taught me the best way to clean the tracks and how often. This was info my previous provider never shared. He only said, "You need to keep those clean." I have a new hero and it's Frank! Seriously, having a pool and a cover is an expensive undertaking that has caused me many sleepless nights. To have someone we can count on to help us take care of this matter, and to count on in the future gives me such a positive sense of reassurance. I am so appreciative to the team at Cover Care: Dallin, Heidi and Frank. Not that I look forward to having more problems with the pool cover, but at least when we do need the help I look forward to seeing Frank because I am confident we will get the service we need. They raise the bar. Period. Use them without hesitation. They service all areas. read more
