Anyway, Citrus Crossing is a huge shopping center with big and small businesses (shown below) located in the City of Azusa. It's in very close vicinity to Azusa Pacific University... literally diagonally across the street. Tons of free parking. It's anchored by a grocery store, a movie theater, and good restaurants. I have a habit of coming here on the weekdays because finding parking is a cinch and I can quickly pick up items I want or need. If you come on Friday nights, a lot of people are walking around, especially students. I would be careful about crossing the blocks here because there are many drivers who speed through and don't check the pedestrians. My store highlights are: Doc Martens, POP MART, ZARA, Punchbowl Social, Dog Haus, and the Escape Game. I frequent these places the most! I have also been enjoying their newest addition: Marugame Udon. Sadly, there aren't as many deals here because these aren't the outlet stores. At the time of my review, the Apple Store is currently under construction but they have a pop up located near miniso and POP MART instead. Everything is still kept clean and it's fun to walk around at night. The lights are glittering and sparkling. Amazing outdoor mall.

But I can at least guarantee that the mall is always lively and there's plenty of parking. Lots of restaurants around and across the street too. What I like best about this mall is their effort to foster community here, such as the Dia de los Muertos display or when I happened to walk pass a Bluey Xmas dance party and you can take pictures with Santa AND Bluey. Super cute. One time years and years ago, they had a scavenger hunt for Christmas where you search around the mall to take photos with your phone for an ornament. I really liked that I did that and got to spend time with my family. I've seen so many shops come and go here and pieces of my childhood through adolescence such as the Disney Store (I remember spending time here looking through that giant plushie pile), the merry go round, Surf City Squeeze (always thought their mascot looked cool, now replaced with a Pop Mart vending machine), Nothing But Silver (went here lots with my mom and aunts), Sanrio Surprise, Amapola Deli and Market (crazy they tried to open a market in here), the hermit crab vendor, McDonald's that my mom would always get my brother and I and the vendors that would try to sell stickers at our table, the dollar store on the upper floor above Baskin Robbins, the used bookstore and so much more. Huge chunk of nostalgic memories for me, but today it's decent mall with most things that you would need. Some shops I go to often to get gifts or pick up something for myself, See's (thanks for closing PH location), Hot Topic, Bath and Body Works, Miniso, etc. At least the Tilt arcade here is still open. There is even a page that posts about all the closed malls. It's on FB if you want to look for it. It's sad really, if you think about it. Where will you go when there are no more malls to go hang out on a Saturday afternoon? Or when you have teens full of energy that just need a safe and non threatening environment? Where will you go if you just want to get out of the house for a couple hours and maybe get a snack or meet a friend after work ? Bars are not the only places to hang out. Although, those are quietly disappearing too. If you'd like to keep this mall, social space, and have a place to hang out like we did before 2020 told you to stay home and pushed online, ama zon shopping on you. It was planned. Go see how much ama zon is worth now. I digress. The mall is a community center for gathering. Of course there are parks, but what about when it rains or it's too hot outside ? Come on we live in the valley. The summer can be very hot and we need to geo somewhere to cool down. Right ? The mall needs more visitors to stay alive. Stop buying online: Plus, by coming in person you support jobs. Jobs are scarce these days. Very scarce. I know several people looking for jobs. Let's not give them excuses to close down. The 2 bakeries are outstanding but my favorite is Some Crust Bakery. Although Creme bakery is very charming to experience also. Location 4 stars: In the Fairfax District area of Los Angeles, to the East of the original Farmer's Market. The Grove has a huge but very busy parking structure, so while you may have to journey to the upper levels, you will eventually find parking. Although some restaurants will validate part of the parking fees, be prepared to pay somewhere between $10 and $30 depending on how long you stay and which stores you visit. Their validation rules are fairly complex and not straightforward, so be sure to read all the fine print. They also have Valet parking on premises. Venue 4 stars: Nice modern open air set up with a Nordstrom, Zara and H&M and a bunch of smaller stores, an AMC movie theater, a Barnes and Noble, a Cheesecake Factory, and a variety of coffee shops and restaurants to fit most tastes and budgets. One catch being that the Grove parking lot cannot be validated by the Farmers Market stores and vice versa. Once you are on premises you can use the trolly to move from one end of the venue to the other. Also keep in mind that the Original Farmers Market is literally next door and attached to the Grove, which dramatically increases your food options.

Judging by the crowd turnout, I would say that this was a successful event, and I hope they add more events like this going forward. Many great restaurants, shops, craft stores and plaza entertainment. Water fountains and train rides for the kids (and some adults too). Whether you come here to dine, shop or just hang out and enjoy the weather with others, this place is a solid choice.

It was still the best in its era back then, but it's still a reliable and good mall today. My latest visit was actually to Macy's, but decided to give the mall for a run. The major department stores are still there, with the Macy's, JcPenney, and Nordstrom. There's also some of the original shops like LUSH, Abercrombie (though they've moved around a few times), Bath and Body, Hot Topic, etc. There's some new jewelry places and some other trinket stores. I saw something like build your own slime for like 30 bucks...what is that?! But yeah, a lot more boutique and random shops here and there. Parking lot is still packed like always, so people still enjoy coming here.

Elevators are in place and working at west garage by Lifetime Gym--open and offers many amenities. Pools are really something to experience. Some newly opened restaurants are: Kalbi Social Club, North Italia, Pacific Catch (see specials menu). The Melt & Din Tai Fung are open. At our last visit, North Italia was at capacity. There is a waiting list for Din Tai Fung and reservations are recommended.
