This place is not open. They will send you next door to the family medicine practice. This is a review of the urgent care experience. We are fire evacuees and I brought my daughter here because of a respiratory infection. They required a $75 Covid/flu test to be seen and are "appointment only. Since I reported my daughter had flu symptoms within the previous week (not the day of the exam) they required the test. When they tested her temperature it was 99.6 which they claimed was a fever. We waited an hour to see a NP and receive a prescription for antibiotics . For urgent care matters I would avoid and use Exer as they do not require testing that isn't covered by insurance to be seen. They complete the testing as part of their standard urgent care exam. read more

Never in my life have a met such a rude Medical Assistant. And unfortunately this set the tone for the whole appointment, and left me feeling icky hours later. Most of my interaction was with this woman who was cold, rude, dismissive and treated me like a nuisance. I feel sorry for her future encounters. The main reason for 1 star is they wouldn't submit prescription to the pharmacy over the phone or electronically. I haven't had to bring a paper prescription to a pharmacy since I was a child. They said they only submit prescriptions over phone for phone appointments, seems crazy to me. I came for in person appointment for my infant to check if he had ear infection. We're the only ones in the waiting room still takes 30+ minutes to be seen and they "couldn't verify my insurance because it's Sunday". I've never had anyone doubt my insurance before... Doctor was ok but no real bedside manner, didn't really greet us or make any effort to interact with my child just hold the head look in the ear out the door. With many choices for urgent care in the area I wouldn't go here again. Anyway are ok if you are in need but the prescription thing I can't get over it. read more

Love! Especially when it saves a trip to the ER. Lifesaver especially for my crazy ass migraines that hit me out of nowhere and that medication or tons of Advil won't help. Thankfully this urgent care is open at those off hours until 10:30pm and they allow you to pre-register cutting down wait times. The doctors are competent and kind. I've never had any issues. The nurses and front desk are helpful and efficient. I'm really glad to have found this place. Just recently I had to take my teen bc she was experiencing a migraine. Part one: Because of post limit, please check the posted pictures for my completed review. Before today 09/18, I gave this place 5 stars. My family chosen this place as our primary urgent care because the distance; business hour and short waiting time. I had a deep cut on my middle left finger on 09/10, ANA was the doctor who gave 4 stitches. Ana was very professional and knew exactly what she needed to do. Before payment and waiting, Dr. Ana checked my cut and judged she could treat me here. Her judgement was based on 2 things. 1st: my finger can bend and perform press-down which means I didn't cut my tendon. Urgent care is enough instead of transferring me to a hospital. 2nd: I need stitch treatment based on where was the cut and how deep was. Dr.Ana asked me to come back one week later for removing medical threads. 9/17 is the day I supposed to come. I can feel my wound is not so ready to remove the stitches. So I waited one more day. On 09/18, the bad experience happened! While I'm checking in, I asked will Dr. Ana to take care of me today. Unfortunately for me,Dr. Ana is not on duty on Saturday. Dr.H will (i will not expose his whole name here. I think all the health providers are heroes during the pandemic no matter how good or bad at the job) Please see the Pic one I posted. I came in for an ear infection and fluid in my ear, the doctor looked at it and literally just agreed there is too much fluid in my ear to determine whether it is a ruptured ear drum (what I suspected). She then sent me on my way with no diagnoses but prescribed me antibiotics and ear drops. I ended up not taking the ear drops because when looking the prescription up it clearly states that it can cause loss of hearing if the eardrum is ruptured. So care itself, pretty subpar. Aside from the quality of care, when I came in I explained I was unsure of the way insurance worked because Kaiser is listed on the coverage page. I brought 100 dollars cash because that's what is listed as the office visit pricing. I made it very clear I was willing to pay cash to forgo any insurance issues but provided the info anyway. When handed my info back they still requested 100 dollars and I gave them cash and joked that's fine as long as I'm not billed later and the receptionists laughed. Now, they are sending a statement for 118 dollars rather than 100 because that is what Kaiser covers, even though the office visit is listed as 100 and my insurance never paid anything , I paid out of pocket. While this may be more of an insurance/deductible thing rather than them when I called she was irritable and spoke in circles around the question. She was unsure of how I paid at all and just said she was not there so she could not be of further explanation, rather than referring me to someone who was there she blurted out I just should have never shared my insurance. I just was trying to inquire how a price can be billed for higher than the price of visit and why they would not be transparent during my visit as I said I would like to pay cash and not be billed later. I called and spoke to Lennet explained my dad's symptoms and she was able to get him in same day..as soon as we got there, Samantha came out, we filled out paperwork and she did the test. Samantha walked my dad through the whole process and even translated some words in Spanish to help my dad understand better. The staff was very friendly and attentive! My baby is only 6 weeks so i was hesitant to bring him in. My doctors office won't be getting back to me until probably tomorrow so I called Covina Urgent Care before coming in. I told them what was going on and they spoke with the provider to see if it was necessary to bring him in. They said to bring him in, when I got there, the nurses, Ellie and Lennet were very prompt and had us go right in to put his urine bag on and to make sure he wasn't running a fever. We didn't have to wait around the room and was told to just come back when he peed. When I came back they were quick and efficient with testing and having the doctor do a thorough check on him. Hopefully I won't have to bring him back soon but if I do, I will be bringing him back here 100 percent. read more

I stepped on a nail at work, it went through my work boot and about 2 inches into my left foot. I went to an ER in West Covina but the wait was over 2 hours. I called Covina urgent care since it was closer to my home to see what their wait time would be and what they could do for me. They took some of my info over the phone to help expedite my wait time to see a doctor. The staff was very caring and extremely tentative the minute I got there. Even with a full house of patients my wait time was still well under an hour, to my understanding they work on a first come first serve bases, some how they still got me In and out in less than an hour, which I appreciated so dearly being is how I was in so much pain. They checked out my foot and provided antibiotics as well as a tetanus shot to decrease my chances of an infection. I would definitely recommend Covina urgent care to friends and family. I just want to say thank you again to the staff for making me feel at home and welcomed at their place of business. read more

This place is about money more than their services. So expect them to nickle and dime you. For any service and any one that you speaks with. Just a simple consultation from them to your business is only $100 (less then 20 min of their time. If they give you that. Non-medical visit). Under their lack luster scrutiny of patronizing me. Came here for a really bad migraine and the NP answered all of our questions and helped us get better quick. Warning though, if you're trying to get in-person care right now, they do require a COVID test + result within the last 1-2 days (pretty much means you have to have had a rapid test done). After having been rejected by several clinics, not to mention treated very poorly for not having medical insurance at the moment lost a little hope. Thankfully after doing a little research we found Covina Urgent Care. Initially we knew there would be a fee for the consultation due to no insurance, but it was well worth the fee. Upon arrival the receptionists were very friendly. The Nurse Sara who took me in was super sweet, checked my vitals and had a great attitude. Made it very comforting knowing she took pride in her job! Thanks Sara. Doctor Robert also was super friendly, I was wearing my Cowboy beanie and he said "GOOD LUUUUUCK" it hurt to laugh for the sake of my cold but I cant lie definitely broke the ice. Asked me patiently about what I was feeling and after he concluded with his prescription even gave me a recommendation for finding the least expensive places to buy medicine.
