I'm surprised at all of the negative reviews on here. I've gone here twice. The first experience was very good and the second one was good. But, I suppose everyone has different experiences. This was mine. It was hard to get through on the phone. They use AI and it does not understand basic questions, and then refers you to a website. Not easy for a GenX, so definitely challenging for an older person. However, once I was able to navigate the website, I made an appointment for the following day. The front staff was friendly, and I was taken back quickly. All very professional. Rico, the x-ray technologist was good and helpful, and Dr. Amy was very patient and caring at the first visit. During the second visit, she seemed more rushed, but I adjust my attitude, and understand that this is an urgent care facility, with different emergencies coming up all the time, so I mentally prepare myself to have to wait. When I made the second appointment, it did have all of my information saved, except for the picture of the insurance card, but that only took one time to go through, so the system must have been improved. My only complaint is that they weren't able to fix my problem, but that's not really on them. The x-rays didn't show anything, so not much they can do except refer me to an orthopedist. They did prescribe pain meds, but, unfortunately, those are not helping. :( read more

I have nothing negative to say about it. Only knocked one star off because the bathroom in the lobby could've/should've been cleaner considering it's a medical facility. read more

Don't come here if you're a Veteran. They want a credit card on file to see you even if you have your VA health care card. Literally wasted an hour dealing with their BS. This is not an Urgent care! I walked in at 4:15 pm. No appointment because it is an urgent care facility, not a doctors office. After waiting 1 hr and 40 minutes I had 3 people ahead of me despite being the 1st person on the walking wait list for the past 45 minutes! I do not Recomend Exer Urgent Care to anyone. They did not know what to do with my broken finger, from car accident they did not have a clue how to bandage it, they did not know how to care for a broken finger, they only knew how to take an Xray. They have no Doctors and a Physician Assistant came that did not care about the patients nor showed compassion at all. All she wanted to do was send me out of the facility. I had to make another trip to the hospital and pay a second bill to take care of my broken finger.i was Just given wrist stabilizer for a Brocken finger?? It has nothing to do to protect my finger and my swollen hand I asked I need to protect my broken finger not my rest was told this is all we have. What a shame that we are now putting money ahead of human care, these are the kind of facilities that should be shut down for incompetence. read more

NP Dilpreet Gill saw my son Saturday morning (3/28) and was extremely rude and dismissive. My son is concerned about a recurring ailment and attempted to ask questions to better understand his situation and what he can do to prevent it from happening so often. NP Gill refused to answer questions and or address my sons concerns and simply dismissed my son with only a prescription. It is truly disrespectful and concerning when we come across persons like that. My husband teaches medicine and so we are all aware that Professionalism and "bedside manner" is an important and crucial lesson in practicing medicine. Had the best experience at this place today. I was in excruciating pain and came here as soon as they opened. The check-in process was quick and I was seen about 10-15 minutes after. I was seen by Dr. Drummond who couldn't have been nicer! He was nice, informative, and took his time explaining things to me. Nothing felt rushed. I was one of the last patients to come in super last minute and I was scared they were not going to take me in but I had sprained my hamstring and could not wait to be seen so thankfully when I arrived they gladly took me in and promptly took care of me. Poor communication and customer service i went on 10/7/25 and the doctor gave me few test and then they gave me a sputum specimen to take to any quest or lab corp when i went to drop off the specimen at quest they told me they don't do the test in Quest diagnostic, so I called exer back now they are saying i should have done it inside when I was admitted!!! And now they want me to register again hell no i am not being charged again for their stupidity seriously they have poor communication and treat patients with such disrespect read more

Not helpful at all. Took my son in for extreme pain in tailbone area and flagged that pilotnital cysts run in our family. Doctor barely looked at the area and said it was probably muscular, gave him an ibuprofen shot and sent us on our way. By Monday after a weekend of agony and fever, the cyst was undeniable. we went back (paid again) and were told nothing could be done yet, gave him some antibiotics and sent him home. By Wednesday after two more days of agony and pain, the cyst burst leading to us having to seek urgent medical care again. We chose a different location for round three. It's really not that hard to listen to patients or to take just a few minutes to do a thorough intake and exam, especially when someone is experiencing extreme pain. very disappointing experience. read more

Reposting since I uploaded it to the old facility, Optum Urgent Care. My mother, who has a history of bronchitis and asthma, visited this urgent care because she was having trouble breathing. Dr. Monica Galarza-Adams attended to her. Instead of addressing her respiratory symptoms with care, the doctor told my mother that her cough and breathing issues were due to anxiety and her weight. She went on to say my mom needed to "lose like 50 pounds" and that she would feel great afterward. What was even more upsetting is that Dr. Adams stood up, asked my mom to stand as well, and directly compared their bodies. She said things like, "I'm 5'7 and 130 pounds," implying that my mother--who is shorter--should weigh no more than she does. My mother left feeling humiliated, ridiculed, and completely dismissed. There are compassionate and professional ways to address weight-related health concerns--this was not one of them. A doctor's office should be a safe space where patients feel supported, not shamed. My mother came in seeking medical help for her breathing and left feeling worse than when she arrived. read more

I had an excellent experience here. I had no idea that the old urgent care at this same location had shut down until I showed up, I didn't know anything about Exer and I was apprehensive because of the poor reviews but I was so sick that I felt disoriented and I ended to be seen. I walked into an Urgent Care with 1 other patient waiting, it was a Saturday midday and I was expecting significantly more people but given the recent change of management I'm assuming that's why. I was greeted immediately and had to fill out intake paperwork since I was a new patient but within 15-20 minutes I was in a room, triage happened in this room and I was also treated in the same room, that was a welcome change from prior experiences. After another 10ish minutes, the physician came in and introduced himself. I was then diagnosed with strep and discharged pretty quickly after. The whole visit from start to finish was no more than 40-45 minutes and within 1 day I was already feeling better. the facilty was clean and welcoming, medical staff was helpful, caring and friendly. The only recommendation I would make is to train the front desk staff to work on professionalism (one gal was playing explicit music on her phone at the desk while I was signing in) and to not discuss private/personal matters like asking for time off, needed to leave early for date plans, etc. I'm pretty easy going so this doesn't insult me but I could see this all landing poorly with other patients. This seemed like a relatively new "business" so I could see this being a learning curve issue and I don't see it as being big enough to knock down to 4 stars. I felt very unwell, they took care of that, that's all that matters to me. read more

Very friendly nurses but a HORRIBLE experience here. I went in for ear pain, I thought I had an infection, they said I didn't then went ahead and just washed my ears very roughly. When I went back home my ear pain was worst and I kept getting fever every day since my visit here I've been getting fevers, so I decided to go to the ER and they saw I did had infection, and they also saw that at this urgent care they ruptured some membrane inside my ear!!!!!I am in so much more pain now cause of the ruptured. I don't blame the nurses I blame the doctor for not seeing my infection and letting someone completely inexperienced, a nurse in training treat something as delicate as an ear wash. Also why did they said I have Covid I came back home took multiple test and all came back negative. I'm sorry but I've been in so much pain after my visit here. read more

The Pro: Every single staff member was absolutely fantastic, super compassionate and thorough. We've been going here since it was Optum, and many times at that. The Con: They are severely short staffed and not by choice- which will lead to long wait times I see previous reviews about. Sounds as though this company (Exer) who took over Optum cut over half of the staff, leaving a skeleton crew. I was super disappointed to know the doctor's that have treated us there in the past were no longer there and seemingly it didn't seem like it was up to them. The current staff there is amazing and trying to "hold up the fort" essentially. The services offered are also now limited (ie- limited days for xrays. We came on a weekend and no x-rays were available). If Exer were to support their staff more by hiring more healthcare workers and offering the same services it could be a very positive experience for all. But right now they are working with bare bones and I have to give the employees so much credit. read more

This is the first time visiting exer urgent care. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how friendly and helpful the 2 girls at the front desk were. I liked that new patients register online. It was ver quick. I didn't have to wait that long. The PA was very professional and checked and diagnosed me within a few min I highly recommend this urgent care to everyone. read more

The staff don't communicate that there's an online appointment option and that appointments have priority. I came in after a major 5 car accident, and checked in at 10am and wasn't called in to be seen in until after 1:30 after 12 appointments checked in who had appointments when I was next in line and before me there was no appointments checked. A little girl came in with a broken ankle asking for an X-Ray they advised her to come in after lunch because the wait was an hour and a half, didn't even let her know she can book an appointment online, she came back after lunch and they told her now the wait was 3 hours. It's so negligent of these staff members. They need proper training communication for their front office staff since they don't prioritize severe walk ins they should advise potential patients to make an appointment. So then I seen the provider finally for my accident pain, she denied me of an X-Ray although my pain was 10/10 and I was limping, she prescribed me Tylenol 500, when I asked for something stronger she said shouted that she would NEVER prescribe any Narcotics there. I told her I never asked for any in particular just something stronger than Tylenol, she told me that if I wanted anything stronger than Tylenol to go to the ER... I spent my whole day there, missed work for an OTC prescription I had already bought at the pharmacy next door after being in so much pain for hours waiting in the lobby, listening to the manager gossip with one her front staff about another employee she had to send to the back for "being slow"... they all are careless and negligent starting with the highest chain staff member trickling down. Definitely not a place for the vulnerable population like elderly or children... I normally go to the Whittier location, which is so great, the front office is quick and efficient and so is their NP there, he is very caring to all patients and quick, but don't waste your time here at the Glendora location. Patients have rights. I pay way too much for my health insurance to be neglected and not treated just because they have high volume appointments to cater to, I wasn't heard, I was denied the testing (X-Ray), and ignored as a patient in 10/10 pain. I will be filing a complaint with Ombudsman on the provider Monica Galarza, PA NPI: 1669682217, and with Physician Assistant Board, after a long day there, I am going to the ER so that I can get the "extra unnecessary testing" she denied me of, because my spine is in excruciating pain and my leg in numb. Don't waste your day here. It's sad that the healthcare industry has such lazy careless ordering providers that don't even have energy or compassion to do patient assessments. read more

I work for UCLA health I have health insurance they took a copy of my cards when I went in but yet they are billing the wrong PO BOX! It took 2 hours to be seen with only one person ahead of me. They couldn't log in to approve anyone's medical insurance. They lost my urine sample after I gave it to them. I showed the Dr the last three times I've had UTI what I was prescribed for me, yet they still didn't send in the correct meds. I called from the pharmacy 3 times from my own phone before the Pharmacist finally called in to get it fixed. I will NEVER recommend this new URGENT CARE. Go ANYWHERE else read more

My family has used this urgent care a couple times and though the care and staff was great it gets 2 stars because their billing department is frustrating. We got no bills sent and they just charged our cards without notice for amounts we had no knowledge about. When we reached out to them for itemized bills we got no response but started receiving texts stating we would be sent to collections. We even called them and stated we never received any bills to explain the charges and they couldn't tell us what the charges were about in detail. Mind you, we all gave our insurance information and these amounts were for $300-400. We will definitely not be using any EXER urgent cares again. read more

Very unprofessional left me waiting in a room after checking my vitals for over a half hour then P/A came in examined me said xray technician would be in to get me took another thirty minutes then the nurse popped there head in and said the technician was on his way out to lunch but they caught him before he left and that he'd be right over. When I was getting my toe x-ray the tech said he was having trouble and the machine it was malfunctioning he needed to step out to talk with the provider because he couldn't get it to work then he came back in and said they told him to just x-ray the whole foot. After that the P/A said she couldn't see any fracture but would have the radiologist look at the film and give me a call taped my two tows together sent me on my way. Later that afternoon she called to tell me the radiologist said it was a possible fracture. We'll that makes sense because they didn't zoom in on the affected area they xrayd the whole foot. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO THERE. read more

I came here yesterday thinking I was going to optum, I didn't know it was a new company. I walked in at 9:30 and did the online registration. The nurse came and got me at 9:45 and brought me to a patient room. The nurse left at 9:50. The doctor did not come until 11:15. I waited in the room all by myself for 85 minutes. They said they had 2 doctors working and no one was in front of me in line in the lobby. 85 minutes was ridiculous. Optum was way better, no one should wait in a room alone that long. They could have just had me wait in the lobby longer instead of leaving me in that room for so long. Do not come here unless you want to be left in a room over an hour. I will say that all of the staff that I encountered was very nice. Just poor patient care for making me wait in that room alone for 85 minutes. read more

I went in to Exer Glendora due to an injury to my ankle. When choosing your Exer location online you can view the number of patients currently in the waiting area in each office. This is helpful in making the decision which clinic you wish to visit. The website also includes what services are provided at each clinic (i.e. x-rays). The front desk was congenial and helpful. I liked that a patient is able to sign-in/register using a phone app. The wait was not too long (less than half an hour) considering there were 3 patients ahead of me. The x-ray tech was very friendly and professionally focused on my need. The attending physician (whose name was Dr. Amy), was also very friendly, compassionate, and professional. After reviewing the x-rays, which she showed me, she ended up recommending that I visit an ER for a CT scan and further evaluation. I took her advice and visited an ER. It was comforting to find out the extent of my injury and receive consultation on the necessary next steps. Injuries are always very stressful but Exer staff made it a little less so. I came to Exer for lower back pain, stomach pain, bodyache, chills and slight fever. The Np who just seen me was like i can only take care of your lower back pain, wow its an urgent care here for this issues. I request an x-ray to see if I'm backed up and she stated we can't do an x-ray today. This place really sucks the care is bad, used like it when it was Optum Urgent Care, they had better care.
