I am six weeks out from my surgery. I could not be happier. Surgery was scheduled mid January In…read moreCovington. It was actually a very good experience, surgical staff very knowledgeable, made me comfortable and answered all my questions. Got to meet with Dr. Beirman prior to surgery, he was full of energy and assured me everything was going to be okay....cool guy!...I was so comfortable I didn't want to go home! I had no pain afterwards, just some swelling and used ice to help. Had absolutely no problems with this surgery. My only bitch was not being able to drive for six weeks, but I had my pins removed today, no problems there and in a week or so I will be able to drive and wear a normal shoe. If you are considering a hammertoe surgery and have done your research you know that this is not a simple operation. I could not be happier with the results. And I want to stress that throughout this long procedure, Dr. Beirman answered all of my questions, didn't sugar coat any of the drawbacks and assured me that some of my fears and hesitations were normal...but walking around in pain was not normal. I am glad I went into this with his help and I'm glad to be on the other side looking back and realizing although this was arduous, I wouldn't be here if he wasn't a complete professional and an excellent doctor. I hope my review will help anyone contemplating this kind of surgery to consider Dr. Beirman.

Then doc said anklyosis is "just bone fusion" and is no big thing. Shouldn't cause any pain. He never even read that part of my chart until I asked what it meant. RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL doctors! Your doctors and assistants…read moredon't know how to work with toddlers!! They got my kid crying and at the end doctor called him hysterical. It's not the kid hysterical it's your "doctor" who doesn't know how to work with toddler. We came with a bitten lip and I asked to explain me how to take care of it. They started by taking the vitals with finger clip and my kid didn't like it the assistant spent long time trying to take vitals while I was holding a crying baby who doesn't want that clip on his finger. After that the "doctor" came and tried to listen his lungs and check ears! Why? We came with cuts on his lip! They made my kid frustrated and wanting to leave in an instance from your building and run from your specialists. I will never be going to your place with RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL personal!!!
