We walked in and were immediately greeted by one of the bartenders and told to sit wherever we liked. We found a nice booth off to the side of the bar area. Our server Patrick stopped by the booth and pointed us to the food menu in the chalkboard. We also had another server but I didn't catch her name. They were both very friendly and attentive. I ordered the special for the day. A green chili Rueben & fries. Wow, this sandwich was so delicious! What a creative combination of flavors. Even the slaw in the Rueben included the green chilis. The fries were hot and crispy. My husband ordered the spicy BBQ pulled pork tacos. He said the tacos were amazing and the flavors were off the charts. They were topped with a slaw and pickles. The side of "tortilla chips" had a dusting of a very flavorful spice. Not sure what it was but very tasty. Looking over the menu, this restaurant has some very creative dishes. We started with the Cajun smoked wings which we got with a side of buffalo sauce. Usually they toss them in sauce but we wanted just the Cajun flavor. They were nicely seasoned and tender. The blackened chicken was tasty, the fries didn't do anything especially with a hair in them that just disintegrated when touched so I didn't say anything about it. Am just now realizing you can see it in my photo. The burger was good but the pork belly was minimal and not very exciting. The seasonal cobbler was berry, was just ok, nothing special. We had several drinks that were very good but too heavy on alcohol, the bar tender even mentioned he put extra vodka in one when he brought. I wish he wouldn't have as it really affected me and not in a good way. Even though the food was decent and there were other menu items that looked good, I'm not sure we would eat there again next time we are in town.

Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, DD has all ndocations of being a converted home AND an awesome dessert shop. The nice lady behind the counter patiently explained the offerings to our kids, and we ordered up a couple of Boba drinks and ice cream. The sour cream and berries was my favorite, but we took a great cross section of the menu. Everything was awesome, and a nice treat after a hot day of hiking.
