My girlfriend and I were vacationing in Durango from San Antonio, TX and found ourselves visiting this haven almost daily. Not only did it satisfy our health-conscious needs in terms of produce and day-to-day products, but we were able to purchase freshly prepared juices, smoothies, and rice bowls inside that fueled us throughout our time here. Other highlights include their bulk section, which consisted of goods I haven't been able to find back at home, and their frozen foods section, which had at least five different types of veggie burgers we could try out that fit our particular dietary needs. I highly recommend stopping by if you can! Pictured is one of their rice bowls which comes with basmati rice, steamed vegetables, a protein (green chile black beans), and a sauce (spicy peanut). Gluten-free, vegan goodness for when you're in need of a meal to go!

Great natural foods, local and non. Good tasting, delicious, you get what you pay for, better quality means higher prices so expect that, but not really that much that it isn't worth it.

The mushroom hippie clerk overcharged me $35 so he can get high. No receipt, no self checkout, no bag option. Stuck in the 60s, the 1860s.

Sad to say the employees were very rude to my daughter. Will not be going back to this establishment!

I love a good co-op and the Durango Natural Foods is no exception, though they are exceptional.

Definitely the go-to spot for sandwiches! I came here while visiting Durango and was craving a…read moresandwich and ended up finding 2nd Deli. I ordered a ham, cheese, lettuce and mayo sandwich since I was sharing with my little sister. It was everything I wanted in that moment. They not only have a ton of different sandwiches on their menu, but they also have a full bar. A great spot to grab sandwiches and drinks while in Durango!

The most extraordinary turkey sandwich I can recall partaking in. I can't believe that I'm in a…read moresmall Colorado town, where often, mediocre food is the rule, and burgers are typically the only item most restaurants are capable of mustering. This sandwich is truly epic. The wheat bread is from a local bakery. Instead of it being toasted in a perfunctory, afterthought manner, it is thoroughly toasted right at the point of the wheat kernels cracking, engendering the goodness only wheat can provide. The bacon is properly cooked, with no hint of undercooked slime present. The green chili tastes as though it was brought here this morning from Hatch, with the whole of the ingredients being uniquely fresh. Finally, the sriracha mayo sauce provides just the right presence of spice, uniquely accenting the green chili. Turkey itself is great, but I confess, is so overshadowed by the excellence present throughout the sandwich, that it hardly occupies the center stage. On another note, a definite problem here is that the water glass conveying a distinct taste of soap residue. It's bad. This happened the last time that I was here, as well. I did tell the owner about this today. Pricing is just right and seating can be awkward at times. I look forward to returning.
