We have been trying to stop here for years, but our timing has always been off. We would always arrive before open or after closing. This trip we finally made it! And we absolutely loved it. It is the perfect stop on our way into Durango. All the beer we had was delicious (which is very hard to come by these days), and they even had a black IPA, my favorite style. We also tried the pizza and pretzels. Both were delicious and a big hit with all our kids. The space is lovely and very welcoming, along with the staff. My husband and I came here after a day at Mesa Verde National Park. It was the perfect spot as it has a laid back atmosphere and a large patio to enjoy the summer weather and mountain views. On colder days, there is also a large inside seating area with some billiard tables. There was also a really cute pollinator garden that you can walk through out front which was a sweet touch. Their pizzas are awesome! I got the daily special which was called something mamma. It had apple slices, bacon crumbles, Gouda and balsamic drizzle. It was fantastic! My dad got the spinach pizza and it was good. We bartered a slice trade. Good soda selection. I've never had rhubarb soda but it was very good! It has a neighborhood gather feel. For those of you back home, like Rio nido in forestville or the Peg House in Leggit. They cook their pizzas in a brick oven fresh. This means your food won't be fast like at Taco Bell. Stopped in while camping nearby and had a great time. It's definitely a fun spot for the whole family! There is entertainment for all - board games, a pool table, piano for music inside, and a stage outside for live music. The beer was really good! Ordered a flight to try a variety since it was our first time in. Overall, I enjoyed all 4 that I had! They have their staple brews but also a few small batches they're brewing too. Definitely worth coming to try! We tried the BBQ Chicken Pizza and was very impressed. All of the portions were on the smaller size for what everyone ordered. Sitting here now! Drove in from Blue Mesa on our unplanned journey. Decided to check my harvest host app for a quaint off the wall place to stay. We stumbled upon Mancos Brewing Company! Our reservation was expected as we pulled in the driveway. Starving to death and deal with stresses of The Storm ravenously tearing through our home in NC. Blessed! Blessed to have found this place.. Today is quiet.. But it's their 10 year Anniversary this Saturday.. Soon to be bustling with the locals and a few like us far from home! We pulled in parked and waited for them to open.. Went in spoke with a cute little dark haired lady she says you good where you parked? Cause I'm good.. We ordered pizza beer pretzels beer and the Cubano.. Being from Miami. This sandwich (without Cuban bread) was one of the very best I've EVER had! The pizza was supposed to be for leftovers.. Gone!!! I'll be lucky if I get to try it!! Ok he gave me a slice! The food was fresh, and very well prepared, with beer or beverages to pair with all their offerings. I would have given this place 5 stars because the food and service are great. However, the owners feel free to march out of the kitchen and speak to the bartenders like they are dirt. When you arrive the building looks more like a house than a brewery so we were kind of weary but decided to give it a try. Inside had a hometown atmosphere. The on-the-wall menu had about 8 - 10 entrees to choose from, as well as about 5 appetizers. In the back of the building, they had a pool table and hang-out area. They have a number of beers to choose from as well as wine. The Dizzy Blond gets a thumbs up. The Shepard's pie, a large tall portion, was delicious and was served with two slices of homemade bread. The pretzels, also homemade, were delicious, and we chose the beer cheese as the dipping sauce. We each ordered a slice of key lime pie for dessert. It was a mustard color. However, Kathy explained to us that the eggs that are used in the recipe cause the mustard color. We stopped to eat here after a day of four-wheeling in the beautiful mountains in the area, and we're so glad we stopped. We ordered a beer and our pizza at the bar from a helpful and friendly bartender who was knowledgeable about the beers and menu. They don't have table service, so all orders are done at the bar. You're given a pager when your food is ready and you can pick up your food along with plates and condiments when paged. We enjoyed a really good beer while waiting for our pizza, which only took about 20 minutes. We ordered the Meat Dream, and it was a perfect pizza. The crust was light (not burned like so many wood-fired pizzas seem to be), toppings were fresh, and they did not skimp on toppings.
