We have been trying to stop here for years, but our timing has always been off. We would always arrive before open or after closing. This trip we finally made it! And we absolutely loved it. It is the perfect stop on our way into Durango. All the beer we had was delicious (which is very hard to come by these days), and they even had a black IPA, my favorite style. We also tried the pizza and pretzels. Both were delicious and a big hit with all our kids. My husband and I came here after a day at Mesa Verde National Park. Their pizzas are awesome! I got the daily special which was called something mamma. It had apple slices, bacon crumbles, Gouda and balsamic drizzle. It was fantastic! My dad got the spinach pizza and it was good. We bartered a slice trade. Good soda selection. I've never had rhubarb soda but it was very good! It has a neighborhood gather feel. For those of you back home, like Rio nido in forestville or the Peg House in Leggit. They cook their pizzas in a brick oven fresh. This means your food won't be fast like at Taco Bell. Sitting here now! Drove in from Blue Mesa on our unplanned journey. Decided to check my harvest host app for a quaint off the wall place to stay. We stumbled upon Mancos Brewing Company! Our reservation was expected as we pulled in the driveway. Starving to death and deal with stresses of The Storm ravenously tearing through our home in NC. Blessed! Blessed to have found this place.. Today is quiet.. But it's their 10 year Anniversary this Saturday.. Soon to be bustling with the locals and a few like us far from home! We pulled in parked and waited for them to open.. Went in spoke with a cute little dark haired lady she says you good where you parked? Cause I'm good.. We ordered pizza beer pretzels beer and the Cubano.. Being from Miami. This sandwich (without Cuban bread) was one of the very best I've EVER had! The pizza was supposed to be for leftovers.. Gone!!! I'll be lucky if I get to try it!! Ok he gave me a slice! We showed up on Trivia night after a day of hiking and found a seat on the couch in the back room as it was very loud. I ordered the Cubano and my wife got the pepperoni pizza. I've had better sandwiches ( the bread reminded me of wheat bread and was cut diagonally and the filling was a little dry). The pizza crust had a soggy bottom but tasted good. The food was fresh, and very well prepared, with beer or beverages to pair with all their offerings. I would have given this place 5 stars because the food and service are great. However, the owners feel free to march out of the kitchen and speak to the bartenders like they are dirt. They are so disrespectful towards their staff. I felt so bad because the two bartenders were absolutely lovely. Maybe it was a bad day. I'm not sure. When you arrive the building looks more like a house than a brewery so we were kind of weary but decided to give it a try. Inside had a hometown atmosphere. The on-the-wall menu had about 8 - 10 entrees to choose from, as well as about 5 appetizers. In the back of the building, they had a pool table and hang-out area. They have a number of beers to choose from as well as wine. The Dizzy Blond gets a thumbs up. The Shepard's pie, a large tall portion, was delicious and was served with two slices of homemade bread. The pretzels, also homemade, were delicious, and we chose the beer cheese as the dipping sauce. We each ordered a slice of key lime pie for dessert. It was a mustard color. However, Kathy explained to us that the eggs that are used in the recipe cause the mustard color. Very clean,all sized pets allowed of course on leash. Pets are allowed if they're on leash over fence in outside seating area. Some CO law passed spring 2021 that our fur babies may dine with their humans on outside patio. I'm sure it's to discretion of owners. Great staff! They are always super friendly and take care of everyone. Good beer with new flavors all the time, and they just came out with seltzers that are damn good too. Consider trying their seasonal tap! The winter black IPA is delicious.
