Kambry will call you later and get your cc# for the reservation.thanks, Jeff NO ONE EVER CALLED FOR CREDIT CARD INFO. SATURDAY EVENING at 7pm less than 24 hours before the ride I get this message Hey Larry. There was a miscommunication between myself and Jeff. The ride tomorrow is unfortunately fully booked. My name is Kambry with Widowmaker Trail Rides. The lady who usually sets people up for rides is out so things are all out of whack. I RESPONDED That is unacceptable. I have a guest coming in from out of town. So you need to do something. Something earlier or something. I planned this and you gave me confirmation. Kambry then said Who gave you confirmation? We only confirm rides when we receive a deposit I then said Let's not do that. YOUR PEOPLE: I have 2 spots Sunday from 6-8 pm ME:Great I'll take them. He will call you shortly. My ride filled up before Kambry could call you but she should have called yesterday and told you immediately. Jeff I asked Okay does the time change? Jeff said I'm not sure but he will call you shortly and you can work that out. NO ONE CALLED. SO AT 9:34 I said It's 9:30 I haven't heard from anyone. That's not a good look Jeff responded This ride isn't going to work. Do whatever it was that you were planning to do tomorrow before you called yesterday last minute to try and schedule a ride with us this weekend. I read your text with Kambry as well as your text above and it would not be a good fit. So I guess people that call last minute get lies. I responded I will definitely include this in my yelp review. It's obvious you don't keep your word. Pitiful I had someone coming in town for this ride. DO NOT USE THEM. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

The horses were very well mannered and well taken care of as was the equipment. Vic was my instructor. He is a very pleasant young man whom is very knowledgeable about the sport. He has been playing polo since he was 13 years old. He started the lesson by taking the time to explain the game itself, safety and strategies of the game. We then moved onto the equipment and how to properly hold and use the mallet. We practiced first on land each different type of swing (half vs full swing) and then we moved onto horseback. I rode Gordita. She was extremely responsive and well mannered. We practiced each type of swing and a couple of the different defense maneuvers from horseback, first from a walk and building up to cantering if you are an experienced enough rider. If you have a riding helmet or a bicycle helmet you may want to bring it with you. If you do not have one you will be provided with one. I would say that you will get the most out of this if you are somewhat comfortable with horseback riding. I had not been on horseback in nearly 20 years and it was like riding a bike thanks to a great horse and great instruction. HIGHLY recommend Stonebriar Polo Club if you are anxious to get back on a horse and learn something new to boot!

Before that, my only riding experience…read morewas a few weeks of lessons when I was a little boy, and the occasional trail ride every few years. I'm now regularly taking part in playdays (amateur barrel racing and pole bending) and even won a buckle last season! I'm also in better physical shape than when I started, having put on a few pounds of muscle in my legs and core -- which is quite the feat in middle-age. Dwaine has been around horses all his life, and it shows. He's incredibly patient and encouraging with his students and knows when they need to be pushed to improve. More than a few of his students have gone to become professionals, competing in rodeos. They learn not just the basics of how to ride, but also grooming, saddling and overall horsemanship. There's probably no better testimony, though, than the community of kids and parents that have formed around the stables, with plenty of friendships formed that extend past lesson time.

To get her to move, rider has to constantly make loud kissing sound, kick, and hit pony on the backside while the owners chase it on a golf cart. The instructor told her to hit it as hard as she could. It was not the horse ride we envisioned. We booked a horse because we didn't want a pony. We mentioned this to both owners who only offered a pony since my daughter isn't an experienced rider. The pony should be retired.

Interactions seem much smoother when there's consistency in showing up. "If you're a No-Show please don't hesitate to contact management to reschedule, as I've had to do it once or twice." Please don't come in on days you're not scheduled (I learned this the hard way, they only have so many horses to let people train on). The trainers plan their day around the schedule, and unexpected arrivals cause confusion. Ive been taking lessons here as a beginner and the Trainers are very helpful on what you need to improve and give helpful tips on how to correct your mistakes. The lesson programs they offer are very well priced for learning how to ride. They have Trainers for every style of riding from Dressage, Western, English, and more. Also, the boarding is very reasonably priced, especially compared to other places around. It's honestly hard to find something this affordable without sacrificing the basics. If you're looking for a place to take lessons, board your horse, or do both, this is a solid option. The ranch has a comfortable, welcoming feel, and it works well for riders who want a consistent place to ride and care for their horse. I'd definitely recommend CJ's Legacy Ranch to anyone looking for lessons or boarding.

I got to watch Shannon work with her newest young riders. If you want not only a great environment for your kids to beome excellent riders, but also great women and men, SKS is the perfect place. No cookie cutter training, Shannon gets to know each rider and creates a plan to ensure they succeed. The kids learn to care for their horses and do the work necessary to bond with them. Her riders consistently win championships and improve with every ride. They never get yelled at. Shannon trains the Zone 7 IEA team and almost always goes to the finals in team and individual categories. I can't express enough, how much my daughter benefitted from riding with Shannon. She cares about each girl and she cares about the horses. Horses at SKS get the best care and get to enjoy turnout, which they love and need. I never worry about our horses. Shannon knows everyone and has helped us buy and sell horses and she knows what she is doing. SKS is in Krum, easy to get to, just off I-35. It is an easy drive for really excellent training and a family environment. And financially SKS is fair and very reasonable making it easier to pay for shows. My invoices are always accurate and on time and Shannon makes it all very easy! First barn we have been at where I don't have to reconcile every charge and wonder why my vet bill is so high. SKS is a great choice.
